✓ Not meant to be played long-termThis game can be lots of fun at first, but gets stale real quick. In PVP it is almost mathematically impossible to progress past a certain point. In order to progress, you would need everyone who is higher up on the score board to quit playing for you to even catch up to them. Bottom line, I had so much fun at first, but if I could go back in time and never start playing, I probably would. ✓ Battery DeathI’ve only been playing this for about 48 hours and while the game is fun, I can’t give it a full rating. This game is a MASSIVE battery drain and not the type of game you can play on the go. You need to be connected to a power outlet or have a battery pack on hand. The Devs needs to fix this issue. There are a huge number of games like this that don’t drain the battery so much and so fast, so maybe take some notes from their devs to work on this issue. It’s a “Mobile” game and it’s not exactly able to mobile if we’re stuck on a power supply for any decent length of time playing..Version: 1.0.20

✓ FrustratingThe game looks great and as a Star Trek fan it was this game that encouraged me to give Apple Arcade a try. The problem is that this game crashes constantly, most frustratingly during the missions in which you are given plot and information on what’s happening. When reloading the app the mission is completed but you’ve lost any chance to follow the narrative or get swept up in the story and without that the repetitiveness of the battles common to these style of games is difficult to ignore. Perhaps I’ll try the game and Apple Arcade again at a later date but it seems unlikely. I’ve played a number of Tilting Point games in the past and I know Tilting Point can do better than this. ✓ BuggyWas excited to play this game but keep running into bugs that ruin the experience. Several times I’ve had syncing errors switching between playing on different devices causing me to lose progress. I’ve had operations errors where I lose my attempt after winning because “cannot establish online connection” error despite all other aspects of the game being online. I’ve had mission errors where suddenly it thinks I have no one assigned on the mission causing it to fail. Alliance activity logs are buggy and do almost nothing. Finally the last straw was with the new survival mode. After getting all the way to level 100, I was not getting any resources or rewards. I had managed to assemble an amazing survival team that I felt was not even close to being beatable at that stage. However the whole point of survival is to get more resources. Tech support’s fix? Abandon the run and start over. Unbelievably frustrating. So much that I’ve decided not to waste anymore time with this game..Version: 1.0.15
✓ Officially licensed, seems like a cheap knockoffThere are so many problems with this game it’s hard to know where to start. Overall, it’s got star trek content, and I’d probably considering playing « five finger fillet » if there was a Star Trek version (maybe something with a D’k tahg?), but I can’t help but fear I’ll come out of this liking Star Trek less after this insult. + a couple of funny lines + Star Trek. ✓ Was really enjoying but now can’t load inI’ve been playing this game for about a week and I’ve been really enjoying it. I was super excited about finally get a team I wanted and advancing but randomly the game just would not let me. It would get to the opening loading screen and then get stuck at 50%. I checked for updates, turned phone on and off, let it alone for several hours to see if that was the problem but no change so I bit the bullet and deleted the app to see if a reinstall worked. Got back on to see that the icloud backup seemingly failed as the first cutscene played but at least I could get into the game now. Except I can’t. I got off the app for a short period of time and got back on and once more it’s stuck loading at 50%. I would very much like to play, don’t even mind starting all over, but I can’t get in. ✓ Not enough focus on this gameA typical gacha style game without micro transactions due to it being on Apple Arcade. Unlike most gacha style games it is completely fair and not that difficult to collect resources and develop a strong lineup. However, there also doesn’t seem like there is much motivation for the devs to keep updating the game, like there would be with a traditional micro transaction riddled gacha game. Most gacha games have varied events, ranked play seasons, new character additions and balance updates. This game seems to get none of those. Ranked ratings never reset, so good luck ever getting to the top if you are just planning to start now. There are some serious balance issues with some rare cards competing with legendary cards in terms of strength. Haven’t seen a new character introduced in months. The in game events are dull and repetitive. Play for 10 minutes, if you like the game it might be worth your time, but just know it won’t see any improvements..Version: 1.0.8
✓ Potential sunk in a sea of bugsThis game has so much potential. The fights and the character animations are well design. I’m not a big fan of Star Trek, but I familiar with the lore and series, so finding different characters makes me want to continue until I get my ideal formation. But all these wonders are behind a huge wall of bugs. This is one of the buggiest games that I have ever play in mobile. And I found. Offensive that when I submit a report to let them know about the bugs I just get an email back with a list of fixes. Which funny’s many of those “fixes” are still a problem for me. ✓ Once You’ve Completed the Story You’re DoneThis is an enjoyable game, but once you have played through each “episode,” the game is essentially done. You can play at higher levels of difficulty, but otherwise, there is nothing different from one level to the next. There is no space combat, no exploration, no free world roaming. Someone needs to take the free world, immersive atmosphere of Grand Theft Auto and the space combat of the Star Wars games and make a Star Trek game..Version: 1.0.21
✓ Fun and strategic, but the grammar is sooooo badNo exaggeration...it is so distracting when just about ever other dialogue scene is riddled with grammatical errors. Maybe English is the second language of the developers, idk. Regardless it could use some polishing. Beyond that this has the feel of a freemium game that had in app purchases removed which I honestly love. It balances the scales and doesn’t reward the whales that typically dominate PvP Updated. ✓ Riddled With Bugs...This game needs some serious updates. I’ve had to close the game several times almost every time I play it. Where to start...It doesn’t track daily missions properly, you get stuck on certain screens and just now I LOST event points. I haven’t even reached the first milestone because it isn’t tracking my progress properly and is now taking points off me. So there’s no point playing the event. It’s surprising and disappointing that this is on Apple Arcade...I expected more quality control. Hopefully it gets fixed soon, because it has good qualities. ✓ Change your settingsAfter playing the game and having it crash all the time I came here and looked for reviews. It there are many people here that are saying the same thing. Here’s a tip. Go into your options and change your resolution settings down a little. I run a 2016 iPad Pro 9.7 and just turned it down one setting. The glitching went away, and the game actually looks better as well. Developers - you may want to consider putting a settings button on the main screen rather than hiding it in the options menu. ✓ Abandoned 9 months agoLook at the version history and you'll see this game hasn't gotten an update for 9 months. Which is a shame, because if this game worked right it is great! Normally it saves progress to that point but with this mission when I return it removes all my away team so I automatically fail putting me back at the start of the mission. ✓ Stalls on Apple TV and MacExcited to see this game drop in Apple Arcade; it's a shame it continually stalls. I began playing the game on Apple TV with a Sony Playstation controller, and the game was working. All of a sudden, in a mission, the controller stopped responding. Shut down the game. I opened it again, and the controller worked on the main screens, but not the mission. Shut down the game and restarted Apple TV. Same issues. I checked that the controller worked in other games, and it does. Next, downloaded on MacBook Pro. Using the mouse, I can navigate the main screen and select a campaign. Once the mission 3 page opens up, I can't click anything, not even the back button. Big disappointment..Version: 1.0.0

✓ PVP needs balancedPVP is horrible. They badly need to balance the character's abilities and fix the turn based play. When the other team always starts and you can lose half your team before you get a turn against a lower level team, there's a problem. Watching the same character you have, at a lower level, do more damage than your character does is also a problem. If it wasn't required for the daily, I wouldn't use PVP at all. The rest of the game is a lot of fun, but PVP kills a lot of the enjoyment..Version: 1.0.11
✓ Could be a good game but is filled with too many bugs which haven’t been fixedI really like this game and I know it’s new but that’s no excuse for the non existent support from Tilting Point, the constant bugs and issues. I seem to have lost 500,000 Latinun (Gold) overnight. To summon new crew members costs 50-75 Portals but half the time no crew member appears which is a bloody unacceptable bug, some crew members refuse to Upgrade, etc, etc. I’ve tried contacting Support @ Tilting Point dozens of times but they don’t bother responding back so I’m hoping Apple will do something that makes them actually fix the constant bugs with the game and they have an actual Support in place that responds to emails otherwise they pull the game so no new players can download the game till issues are fixed so they don’t have to go through the constant annoyance and frustration of what could be a good game but isn’t because it has way too many bugs to be allowed as a playable game so feels like a beta still being tested before being launched..Version: 1.0.7
✓ Buggy, unsatisfyingBroken PvP is just silly. Never fixed. Even with stats like 20k vs 14k, you lose 80% of the time. Continual problems with round generation with alliances... They just don't refresh. After you hit 99, there's nowhere else to go - nothing new except the occasional new character, with the same skills under new names. PvP isn't, really; not in real time, you just get a notice that you lost various encounters the next day. Survival rewards are always locked at the lowest level. Once missions are dine, there's no remaining story. Repetitive. It was fun at first, but becomes a total dead end..Version: 1.0.21

✓ Good idea but badly executed.Updated review after developer’s latest update of the app: -Still buggy. Now the daily reward is not refreshing. This happened before the update but still not solved. -I’ve got multiple times saying there is a game file issue where I need to choose one of the files and discard the other. An additional point: is the Dev actually relying on players (who are also CUSTOMERS of Apple Arcade) to debug??? Original review: Good art and game mechanism. It’s a bit repetitive though if you want to achieve 100% in every mission. The pain is that the whole game feels like a work in progress rather than something that can be published on Apple Arcade. A few bugs that still exist in the latest version: -After only a few days of daily task working, the final reward for completing all daily tasks is now broken again. -Shop is not working properly. I bought three legendary gel packs only to find it showed 0 when I wanted to use it. I know it’s ran by a Ferengi but this is too much. -Shuttle missions not working properly. ✓ This game was released.....not finishedThis game was released way to early. Multitude of errors, screens blocked, unable so see through walls (camera). All of the errors that I came across should of been picked up before release. Don't expect any explaination of keys, characters, or story line. There are far too many bugs for any game, let alone a “premium” game on Apples flagship game platform. It’s almost as if the devs are just rolling out daily builds with zero QA testing. COME ON! ✓ Unplayable after missionsPvP mode is broken with incredibly weaker opponents defeating you. Some will be able to get morale boost on first turn and kill half your team in the first move even though your 3000+ points stronger. Enemy will get morale boost bonus attack on first turn without using morale boost move. Survival mode is also broken and won’t let you chose specific people. It’ll freeze on whatever level your on and won’t let you continue. The drop rates for summoning are all messed up as well. The campaign completion meter is stuck at 88%. There is no support whatsoever just standard automated replies. I loved this game but now it’s not worth my time..Version: 1.0.18

✓ Nice gameWell, I find myself sitting off a lot of ships for eight hours of a time for XP. like the game I seem to be addicted I’ve put a lot of gear on a lot of guys so far I’m on level 53 of survival though and stuck there seems to be a glitch I can’t combat I went back to bridge and back to survival and it won’t let me battle Please fix this. OK this is the edit afterwards. I did get past level 53. On the screen were you choose your combat level I had to hold the screen with one finger pull it to the right and then click on the combat map at the same time or it would not work..Version: 1.0.21

✓ A bug filled messThe PVP battles make NO sense. The computer will hit you critical every time, and even if you have the same character with higher rank the computer ALWAYS goes first. They finally fixed Sela by nerfing her completely, but now it's basically the same thing with Kirk and Riker going back to back and taking out at least one character before you even get a turn. The "summon" system is one giant bug where 75% of the time you get 1000 latinum instead of a character. And if you try to summon again after the whole game freezes. I want to be strategic about plus-up acquisition, but cannot see cumulative inventory of available supplies or crew stats easily, so it is hard to decide whether to forego a bonus now for a bigger bonus later or not. Store purchase process overly clunky, and in general the app asks user to "continue" far more often than is needed. PVP - Shouldn't there be some random chance as to who goes first? ✓ Very poor PvP.It is an enjoyable game .. however… if you like to play this type of game and not cough up really money to upgrade..then this the game to play … but …..some aspects of are terrible… example ….when you attack a player in pvp mode …you automatically become the defender. …. You will loose ……you cannot select what player you would like to play first ….the ,, defender,, gets first go and can and will wipe out your entire squad fore you get a chance to attack …. ✓ Too repetitious, buggyThis game has an interesting premise, and it's cool to be able to build teams of Star Trek characters to compete in various events or to go though the missions. My difficulty with the game comes primarily from three aspects. First, the repetitive nature of the combat makes working through the missions a grind. The "multiple paths" thing would be interesting if there were multiple stories or outcomes. Gaining and building characters is a slog. Second, the design of combat is frustrating. You don't get to pick which character goes first, that's determined algorithmically by speed (and in a tie the computer player always goes first). The constraints on play make PVP battles unnecessarily repetitive. Third, there are a number of bugs in the game, such as the manner in which characters are flagged for upgrades, and interface issues, such as the horizontal scrolling required to use the store, that make the game more frustrating to use than it should be. For me, the most interesting part of the game comes in the form of the PVP battles. So it's frustrating that the characters fight in an algorithmically defined order as opposed to one that would make more tactical sense, and that the attack and defense options are so limited. Granted, it does make for short battles..Version: 1.0.20
✓ Unfair PVP AdvantageI've completed all the missions and am stuck when PVP. Unfortunately, PVP gives defending players a HUGE unfair advantage. My teams are getting decimated even though I have a HUGE point advantage over the defender. Furthermore, losing 27 seasons points with every loss is a bit ridiculous even if you lose with the opponent having one player left. I'm about to put down this game and move on..Version: 1.0.11

✓ So many bugs ... where to beginPvP is completely broken (and always has been). The dev's have made really bad attempts to fix it ... but always far too little. The point of a game is to "play" the game. When you finish all your missions and reach the end-game ... there's a big emphasis on PvP. Except it isn't real PvP... you play a computer. In "PvP" the computer ALWAYS goes first and there's a pecking order based on each crew members "speed" rating. But the computer wins all ties (not a random chance... it's a guarantee). This means the compute could make multiple moves before you can even go once ... and you'd think this would be rare ... but it happens all the time. Next ... there are a number of OP players who can wipe out many party members on their opening move. So when the computer is guaranteed to go first ... and may have 3 of 4 crew members go first ... and may get "morale" where ALL the computers players go first ... they can wipe out your entire crew (or maybe leave one guy standing with just a few health left) ... and you didn't even get to play. There are also numerous "nuisance" bugs. Between fights, the computer may randomize your party or drop crew members from your party. You have to be careful to make sure it didn't do this to you (it happens all the time)..Version: 1.0.11

✓ Bugs and crashesThis game has lots of potential but it is impossible to play. It feels like a pre release version that needs finishing. It is enjoyable when it runs but that is never for very long. The speech boxes cause the game to crash repeatedly. Meaning that you have crew on away missions that you simply cannot get back. If you relaunch the game it will often crash at exactly the same point. If you are lucky enough to get past that point there will be another shut down at the next battle. If you are quick you might be able to hit the skip button to avoid the dialogue but sometimes that has crashed the game before you can get to it. If it does run characters often turn up with power rankings that have no bearing on what they are supposed to be. The characters have a set order of which one fires first. So once you realise, for example, that Torres will fire after Riker who will follow Burnham who will follow McCoy. You start to pick away teams based on their turn order rather than their skills. There is little point in having the Dr go before anyone is injured..Version: 1.0.9

Many posts comment on this but seems to be ignored. There are also consumables that are severely limited that will hinder new players. ✓ Lost saved games with year-old bugThe game is quite fun to play, until you load the game on an Apple TV. At which point, it will completely override any saved games. There is an online thread on Reddit where others have faced the same bug, wiping out over a year worth of progress and leveling up. I contacted support, but they said that there was nothing they could do about it, and said I should have known the difference between the Continue and Load buttons. ✓ Great potentialAs a fan of these kind of games and with a Star Trek facade it definitely had me on board. Graphically it’s excellent and being a premium arcade game there is no irritating ads or pay walls. The gameplay style is good old fashioned turn based combat all with nice well designed animations. Sound and music sits well in the Star Trek universe too. Unfortunately there are a few bugs in the system. From issues with the UI to the games internal clock not ticking over to the next day forcing the need to exit and restart the game. Also running on an iPad Pro it runs incredibly hot and it’s battery requirements are huge. When it comes to Star Trek games they usual fall into the, combat over any real exploration and although legends tries loosely with section requiring player choices these have no direct impact on the main story. The story centres around three characters from the various shows and although the ability to assemble a team from unlocked crew is possible it makes no difference to the narrative. Sadly there is also a lack of Star ships at present, something synonymous with the franchise. Perhaps in later updates things will find the same level of polish to match the high graphic and gameplay mechanics. ✓ The definition of tediumI never give 1 star reviews but this game deserves it. I gave it time. I progressed along. It’s a gatcha game with a high degree of repetitiveness. Don’t get me wrong. Doing something over and over can be soothing. This was more aggravating. In order to progress through the Missions you must play each level multiple times. This wouldn’t be so bad, except that you must do it in normal, advanced and expert mode. I usually check the combat difficulty and if it’s anything below high I just close my eyes through it to save myself from going completely bonkers with the repetitiveness. There isn’t enough gameplay in the rest of the game to make it worthwhile. Once you figure out who the top four are that win most pvp battles there is zero challenge. There aren’t many playable characters to make the gatcha system engaging in any way. The randomized particles are potentially the only interesting part in an otherwise tedious game, because you are never guaranteed to get good stats. It’s a hint of surprise in a grind fest. It’s interesting to choose what particles to upgrade and pick the best bridge crew to get universal stat bonuses I guess. In that way it does deserve at least one star. Meh. For transporter missions that have already been complete, need option to auto skip through the text and auto advance through the waypoints, aside from the explore waypoints where you can make a choice on which direction to head. This would greatly help speed up the replays of missions. Summon characters turns into summon 1,000 gold when you play the game long enough and max out a lot of characters. ✓ Poorly balanced, cheap, and buggyThe game starts out fun, but it quickly goes sour as you get higher in level. The pvp in is pretty awful. You face the same 5-6 characters repeatedly and you’re stuck building a team of 4-5 other characters to cheaply counter them. No strategy and no real flavor to team building. Teams several thousand points “weaker” can also 1-shot through shields and tacked defenses. There’s no fun to be had once you get past the honeymoon phase. Endgame is a nightmare. Often new characters, new features and new challenges fail to work. The list of complaints that have not been addressed is long and I can’t remember the last feature release that worked. PVP devolves into battles between the same OP characters. The imbalance between characters is staggering. This make both regular and PVP play boring and, ultimately, solely up to the RNG gods. ✓ You can feel the love put into this gameThe game is beautiful and love the designs. Very reminiscent of a certain game that the House of Mouse made with toys a few years back. No issues on my iPhone 11 but it’s a crashfest on my iPad Pro 9.7”. My MacBook seems to have a loop conflict with local and iCloud save files. I’m sure that will be fixed in time with updates. It also feels like it should be asking for micro transactions all the time. It feels like ‘that type’ of mobile game with time gates, resource management, lockout missions etc… but it isn’t asking for any money. It’s a basic mobile game that’s beautiful and fun. The opposing team gets three shots before you even take one. It usually wipes out at least one or two toons before you even get a chance to take a shot. It also has lottery style summons which is possibly the most irritating feature of “freemium” games…. Yet here you don’t even have the opportunity to buy extra summons. ✓ A work in progressThe premise for this game began really fun. But, as the updates roles out, things started to break. As mentioned in other reviews, once the storyline is completed in all 3 difficulties, all that really remains is accumulate new characters, and PVP. PVP is borderline useless as of this review because, since the computer plays another user’s characters against you in a PVP match, and the computer always goes first, it’s possible to have a player with 30-50% less power than you wipe out your team before you can get off a single shot. Additionally, the crew summoning system is glitchy at best: it continually draws Latinum rather than needed characters to rank up, and after a few consecutive pulls, it crashes. ✓ Good controls and fluid combat, but not Star TrekThis game is basically a turn based gacha battler with the real money gambling aspect removed. The gameplay is good, with responsive and intuitive controls, easy to understand roles (like security=tank), and enough variety in early game to be fun side distraction. The main con is that the game is not Star Trek in my opinion. Star Trek is about exploring a relatively peaceful universe in the future with lots of resources, and this game is basically the opposite, with the war and struggle commonplace. (I also didn’t like the “Star Trek” reboot movies with Kirk and Spock played by a different cast for the same reason, for reference.) This game looks like you took a medieval fantasy turn based game, and reskinned the spears and crossbows into phaser rifles and disruptors, then stuffed the magic system into wands shaped like tricorders. ✓ Hypothetically…Let’s say that maybe in months, most of the technical bugs get fixed, what then? There is still a really dumb AI - medics healing characters already with full health. All enemies always seem to target specific characters, like Voyager doctor and Uhura, so it’s pointless to include them as they often die the first turn as every enemy unloads on them; and so much more. Nothing is still explained and it feels like the devs are still deciding what does what. Nonsensical difficulty spikes during missions - all super easy and then a boss appears and one shots your character first thing in the turn? So you’re forced to come back and repeat the whole mission with characters vastly overpowering most of the enemies, whole process basically turning into a mindless chore. Animation issues - quite a few animations are unpolished. Phaser magically flies into Picard’s hand, Kira kills and enemy and then pointlessly shoots into empty space, characters clipping through objects, each other and much more. Also, most of the animations have incorrect triggers, so you have to sit through an animation while some of them “finish up” in the background as you gain control over another character. Do I need to go on? This game does NOT belong on the Arcade in its current state. Apple is known for their quality and they should know better than to ignore this and just leave it up as one of their flagship games. From what I can deduce on first run I have pressed Continue. As I have been doing every day for months playing the game. To my surprise the game did not continue from where I left the game. I was not asked or warned about any previous saves or progress. So I went back to the startup menu and pressed on Load Game. It had already overwritten and erased all of my progress. It has overwritten my months of playing with a 1 minute played save. Without warnings without asking. I was level 99 with more than 10 crew also at level 99 and many others getting there as well. ✓ Much to fixPositives such as beautiful graphics and smooth animations notwithstanding, this game remains fundamentally unready for Arcade. There are still too many bugs, large and small, in game play. While the developers are fixing some of these, many remain unaddressed despite having been reported for months. For example, the game repeatedly dumps your selected team members between rounds of “Operations” play, and frequently adds unwanted characters, forcing you to laboriously deleted and rebuild the correct team. Certain sound effects continue to play even when you turn off all sound effects in settings. Scrolling between characters in the Crew listing is improperly implemented, to the point that it doesn’t work. All these and more have been reported by many people but stand unaddressed to this day. And despite the developers’ cheery responses here, they don’t seem to pay much attention to feedback. The bigger underlying problem is that the economics of the game have been broken since launch. The absence of any sort of useful FAQ for new players leads many to overuse what appear to be readily available materials, only to discover too late that they are exceedingly rare. Once you finish “Episode” play and use up the available materials, it will take you several months to upgrade a single character to its maximum potential. Good luck chasing the PvP meta under such circumstances. I would hope that Apple will take greater care in the future to make sure that games are really ready to be played. It is a little samey in gameplay but it’s easy to play and pick up/put down. The problems come with it being unpolished. The game crashes far too often and PvP is seemingly broken. The menu won’t let you come back out most times and the daily prizes don’t work. Graphically it’s nice with a pleasant art style. I’m not really into Trek much but it’s good that you can unlock lots of real characters from the series. Good but flawed but those can be fixed..Version: 1.0.5

✓ WARNING!Fun game but there is an issue with the game and Game Center, if you play on multiple devices, that may wipe out all your progress. They don't talk about it, but if you contact support, they will send you several automated responses before a very long winded email that basically says nothing can be done. I have been playing for several month using both my iPad and iPhone frequently. I was 99th level, only had four characters to left to unlock. And the response was some unhelpful hints how to potentially prevent the same thing from happening again..Version: 1.0.21

✓ Still buggy but funStrange that this game has lots of recent one, two, and three star reviews but still manages a 4.6 star rating. The numerous bugs are annoying but I’ve found a way to work around some of them. The bug that makes the upgrade button disappear for ranking up your equipment is actually there, just doesn’t display. Tap where the button should be and you’ll see. Wish they’d fix survival mode. When I first installed the game, I think I saw the screen where you could buy upgrade items and add crew. The screen I saw doesn’t appear anymore. Still surprisingly fun game. Star Trek fans and even those who aren’t will enjoy the unique character mannerisms and special abilities, some of which are hilarious. Kirk’s “invigorating speech” is classic, and Uhura’s “encourage” is fun to see over and over. If the developer gets serious about killing bugs, this game could be excellent. NOTE to devs: just because we don’t pay to play like with those annoying money grab games doesn’t mean we don’t pay. We pay a monthly apple arcade fee. ✓ Kinda fun - in a car crash sense.It’s fun, I am still playing it : but more grim determination rather than fun. It’s buggy as all hell. And so clearly was intended to be a “pay to win” game it’s embarrassing. Say it bombs out after completing a fight: you lose the progress. Pass midnight reset while playing, it does not award you any progress because when you click on objectives is kinda goes “oh crap it’s past midnight” and resets the counters but ignores anything you did past midnight. I especially love the blatant game mechanic of turning your rare and precious nexus crew import into a measly 1000 latinium to get around the fact your increasingly ranking up all your crew - not - Pretty much the only reason I am playing it is a sense of completion - if this had been a pay-game it would have been one of the worst Mahoney grabbers of all time Oh yes : and on game mechanics- the designers obviously can’t do math: you send a shuttle mission off with a 100% chance of success : jackpot reward still only turns up about 50% of time.Version: 1.0.13
✓ REPETITIVE in the extreme.This game could’ve been great… But, after you played your first battle, you might as well move on. Nothing in the game will be different than what you just did. Just consider that you beat the game on your very first turn and save yourself the mind-numbing monotony of continuing. For all the thought you give to your team build, it doesn’t matter. Virtually any combination of sufficiently levelled units will work, providing you don’t shoot yourself somehow. The ‘choices’ presented to you in the storyline make absolutely no difference. The story unfolds the same no matter what and you’re just thrust into the next battle under incrementally different circumstances depending on what you chose. Each map is just the same battle played over and over and over and over and over. Omg. If you want to complete a map to 100%, you simply replay all those battles again and again and again and make one alternate choice to unlock more of the same battles. Seriously, how many times do I have to defeat 4-6 enemies in 1-2 turns?!? There’s just no value to being forced to repeat this literally hundreds to thousands of times!! The other game modes - PVP, Alliance, Operations, and Survival - well, they’re the same friggin thing. THE EXACT SAME &@$*ing THING!!!!! People mock pay-to-win games and rightfully so for the most part, but this game shines a light on the equally crappy the other end of that spectrum. One where clearly very few resources were devoted to a game that doesn’t generate revenue. Why improve a game when you don’t make money from it either way right? By far the buggiest app I’ve ever used (and I’ve played PoGo too…) - devs reading this, I’ve worked in development so I’m going to guess it’s not you but poor management / pressures from the top, please don’t take this review personally. ✓ Broken, and devs refuse to fix issues, or respond.I played this game quite a bit, before realizing that I couldn’t join alliances. Several reports later, the only thing developers suggest is to allow multiplayer in the gamecenter settings- which was allowed the whole time. It takes them months to respond. ✓ Limited appeal once story has been completedThis game was designed as a pay to advance rather than an arcade game with longevity. Once the story has been completed you’re stuck in a very long and drawn out system to upgrade your characters. It takes around a month to upgrade just one. This is only possible by doing the same daily quests each and every day and waiting 9 hours for shuttle quests to complete. There is an alliance feature but that quickly becomes redundant and doesn’t help with your characters. The PvP quickly becomes tired as soon as you advance up the ranks as the majority of players stick to the same characters and to make it worse they always get to go first. The rewards also don’t help in upgrading new characters so I’ve ended up stuck with the same ones which is annoying. They release new characters but they have no appeal due to the ridiculous time it takes to get them ready for PvP! They should have kept the game as a pay to win rather than an arcade game. If you check Reddit you’ll find many players frustrated by the game once the storyline is finished. It’s a shame as the game could have sticks of long term appeal if the developers sorted out the glaring issues..Version: 1.0.12

✓ Fun while it lastsAfter reaching level 99, beating every mission on each level of difficulty and unlocking every character, it’s become super hard to get antineutrons and duranium for gear upgrades. Survival is one way to acquire scant amounts of these materials, but only 10 levels per day keeps it limited. At least the 1 PVP battle per hour is still exciting for a few minutes. ✓ Buggy game with awful supportSeems like every update comes with bugs. The game randomly tries an in game update which breaks something usually badly. Support is of no help when this happens. Get canned messages that its a “sync” issue with links to outside posts that list a a risky and unsupported possible fix. Why should anyone go to a 3rd party website to try a fix that could erase everything you’ve done and would the game’s actual so called support actually suggest that in the first place. ✓ Full of bugs and the game deleted my saveNeeds an update, game does not support user account switching on Apple TV. The game deleted my iCloud save and local save data on My iPhone when I installed the app on my iPad. I installed the app on my iPad as I needed to use my phone to make phone calls. When i opened the app on my iPad it did not read my iCloud data and instead started a new game and then overwrote my iCloud save back to beginner. I put a lot of time and effort into this game and all that is lost now. Not starting again from scratch and no longer paying for for an Apple Arcade subscription for this..Version: 1.0.21
