Train Fitness Workout Tracker for Negative User Reviews

DisappointedWas excited to use this app when I am working out but does not work on Apple Watch 3. Should be able to use it on any Apple Watch..Version: 1.6.2

Great app, poor business choice!Brilliant app for its purpose. AI recognition of exercises far better than manual tracking on pen & paper. Unfortunately recently made the decision to move a ton of exercises to a premium membership which were previously free! Developers - NOT a great way to move to freemium, you should be adding new functionality and having it premium to entice, not stripping back the base app!! Makes use case far less attractive and likely to search for an alternative..Version: 2.0.1

Good app but have to pay nowI’ve been using this app for a few months and love it. Now with the update and charge to use, it seems silly to use it as I spend more time trying to manually add what I need. Too bad as it was great to see my progress..Version: 2.0.1

It was such a good appIt’s a real shame because the app was genuinely a great way to track exercises effectively but since the new pay wall and it’s basically unusable unless you are willing to pay an extortionate amount. I understand they need to make money but using advertisements would of worked and then a paid version to avoid this. Real shame.Version: 2.0.3

Before Premium, it was the bestI loved this all so much prior to the latest update. Once the update occurred and premium became an option, almost half of my exercises were not available and manually adding them was exhausting. I am so disappointed, especially since the premium version is 14 a month..Version: 2.0.1

DeletedWell done for really buffering this update up.Version: 2.0.1

App is okThis tracking app is ok my biggest issue with it is I have to change my watch to my left hand and also change the settings so can work on the left hand because apparently this app didn’t account for people that are right-handed and wear it on their right hand which is insane! That’s the reason for the three stars because I feel like I can’t even use this appBecause I don’t wear my watch on my left hand! Come on develop because you guys can do better than this!!!!👎🏼.Version: 1.6.1

Tracker OnlySo I bought this app thinking it would not only track what I’m doing, but let me save my previous workouts to repeat or design them. I’d like to see this app enhanced by the ability to recall previous or created workouts and then have the watch prompt you on what to do next, set after set. For example, create a customized workout plan in advance, and have the app move your through the exercises either in repeated sets, or a circuit. The AI can detect you’ve done what you’ve programmed, and move you through it. I hope this is what’s next for TrAIn, it would take it to the next level..Version: 2.2.0

This is not supported with apple watch 3I was so excited to try this app but it does not support my watch 3..Version: 2.2.0

Makes you pay for practically everythingStupid app.Version: 2.2.0

Put behind a pay wallI was originally very pleased with the app when I began using it, it was easy to use and picked up the exact exercises I was doing during my workout as well as my reps. Since the last update the app has been put behind a pay wall and although you can still use the free version, a majority of its auto detect workouts are not registered without manual intervention. In the free version you can no longer manually enter the exact weight you’re using and reps measures are no longer accurate. It is like the company has made the app almost unusable so you have to pay a ludicrous annual price of £71.99 or £14.49 a month to use the app properly. I’m disappointed this has happened so long after the app has been going, as it was so much more accurate than Apples traditional workout, however after experiencing this I think I’ll be moving back to the exercise app on the iPhone.Version: 2.0.0

Used to be goodAt first this app was convenient because it tracked your movements and counted your reps, then they changed it and now you have to pay for it to count your reps, if i have to count my own reps it literally takes less time to write it down than to log it into the app..Version: 2.0.1

Used to be good..Started using it a few months ago and had few, if any, issues with the app. Since the pro update, tracking exercises has been inaccurate and quite frankly it’s annoying when an exercises pro-only.. It already knows what exercise it is, just add it instead of making me do it manually. Looking for a new app to move to or back to the trust notepad it is..Version: 2.0.0

It changedThis app had so much potential until they added the PRO feature. There is a constant syncing issue with the subscription on the watch, it randomly works then flips out. I get the developers want to make money but they need to make their app work properly first..Version: 2.0.3

Buggy appI found this app pretty buggy. It crashes all the time. I have the new Apple Watch. Plus, all exercises seem pay/subscription-only, even for the most common routines. Come on! I bet the next Watch OS will have the ability to count and detect routines. It’s not that hard. The AI/ML stuff behind this app isn’t new nor groundbreaking. I’ll wait for Watch OS 10. This is really a bait and switch. Pass..Version: 2.0.2

Missing programsWould be great if we had the ability to save custom programs that way everything is all within one app. I feel like that’s what’s really missing with this app to make it fully inclusive.Version: 2.2.3

Clear and simpleLoved this app to being with found it very clear and simple to use and worked brilliantly with my Apple Watch. But since update it’s just become frustratingly annoying to use as I only wished to use it as it was free. But now need to pay to use it properly which I find is expensive to do..Version: 2.0.0

When are you going to make it compatible with series 3Doesn’t work with series 3.Version: 1.5.2

MidThe accuracy has drastically dropped since the update. It used to at least be within the right range of reps and sometimes right exercises. Since the update it’s not as accurate on either but I find the reps the most annoying..Version: 2.0.1

Can only use if you wear watch on left wristDoesn't support right wrist orientation. Shame..Version: 1.5.2

Not goodToo complicated to set up then when I’ve set it up it won’t work….. contacted them and was left on seen…. Horrible customer service…...Version: 1.6.4

Concept is nice but why left arm only?As a person who trains with amputees. This feels like a gap in use case assessment. I know you can just go into settings and change it there but that’s a hassle and added friction in using if folks have to constantly go into settings to switch back and forth. I hope that this changes asap since it’s a deal breaker for me.Version: 1.2.2

Great at the start but…… now everything has to be input manually on the free side. Few months back was amazing recognising everything with relative accuracy now basic exercises come up with “buy pro or input manually” which defeats the object of the app..Version: 2.0.0

Neat Application, Crashing IssuesI’ve tried this Application out for an entire week, first couple of days it logged the workouts fine (minor changes from the exercise it thought I did from what I really did). By the 4th attempt I started noticing big issues, I trained legs and biceps for 2hrs and when I was closing out and saving the workout, poof it crashed off my watch. Did core and some miscellaneous full body the following day and the today did chest and triceps and it crashed after 1.5 hrs just when I was nearing complete. However the last time it crashed it at least saved the data to my fitness rings, this time it lost everything. Hence the 3 stars, neat idea, poor execution. Not going to waste anymore time using it..Version: 1.6.3

Was great before the paywall was introduced…I’ve been using the app for the last few months after seeing the app spoken about on a tiktok and instantly implemented it into my workout routine as it was so efficient for tracking workouts, reps and weights to help with progressive overload etc. The AI was great at auto detecting workouts and it was a great use, quick to use and confirm weight etc. Just this week when I went to use the app on my Apple Watch, I was greeted with the info that most of the auto detected workouts are now behind a paywall (an expensive one at that in my opinion). The manual input is clunky and slow to use in the gym on the Apple Watch to find the workout you want to input and the rep detection now seems to be less accurate. Such a shame that this paywall has been introduced as it’s left the app feeling cumbersome and annoying to use with manual inputs and has left me really not using the app this past week..Version: 2.0.1

Getting betterApp is definitely improved from the first! As it should. Needs to improve capture exercises and maybe work with other apps. I have to turn off my fav app every time. Look into this please! Otherwise much improved.Version: 1.7.2

Was great, Now it’s a paid app just to get the basicsHave to pay just to get the basics otherwise have to do it all manually if it even lets you, expensive aswell if you wanted to pay.Version: 2.0.5

.This app is really good used it for a week and now it says that only detect 20exercises and I have to put them in manually instead which is really sad if only there was an app that was had more exercises without having to pay for it.Version: 2.0.0

Save weightNeeds a way to save the weight set. For example let’s say I am benching 225, then doing curls I manually change the weight to 30lbs. Then bench I have to change back to 225 from 30lbs. This cycle continues all workout of you do more than one exercise at a time. It should auto save the weight each workout and go back to the last weight when it detects a exercise you already did in that session..Version: 2.2.0

Ok but …The app is good for the most part. I wish that it log could log walking cardio (besides the stair master). Attempted to contact the help chat feature for a potential work around but haven’t received a message back. I also wish it was a way to log workouts and schedule a head of time..Version: 2.2.8

Not for meOnly tried once and had worst workout ever. Really irritating constantly having to correct it even when you have done the same exercise before. Really expensive especially considering it made my workout worse.Version: 2.2.6

Was great, now a paid app..Was really enjoying this app, recommended it to multiple people then as I’ve done my workout today it hasn’t been tracking most my exercises, I need to pay. So I thought ok the app is great I’ll pay if it’s like £3 a month. Nope, £15 a month or an annual fee for only £6 a month but not many people have the ability to put down £80 up front. Quite poor and clearly sold out, very disappointed as it would’ve been a lot better as a free or cheap app which included ads.Version: 2.0.0

Terrible App do not trust for tracking your workoutsThe app on the Apple Watch is fine with tracking mostly dumbbell movements but you have to manually add if you are doing machine moves but that’s fine. But the app to use on the phone is so bad I can never access my data is close out automatically and I can not even access the info online. Guess I have to just used the tried and true practice of writing my weights in my notes app..Version: 1.7.4

Crashes frequentlyGreat idea when it works. Crashes frequently. Used 4 times on Apple Watch 7, crashed out twice without saving data. Unusable in this state..Version: 1.4.4

To limited and no money drivenI don’t often review. I’m a Masters powerlifter and this app has way more flaws than benefits. When you work out there are so many things including just a simple warm up on a bike or treadmill this app ignores. I hold Benchpress records and this app more often thinks my press is an incline and I can assure you that it is not. Heavy squats and Bench = wrist wraps, the app doesn’t compensate for a loose watch to fit the wraps. In trial mode I spend more time correcting the app or entering manually. NOW not once but numerous times a day the app requests premium upgrades and subscriptions so much so that it’s getting deleted no longer worth trying to help the algorithms till they get it right. It has potential but the developers quest for money has out weighed the effort to persist. DELETED.Version: 2.0.9

Great concept, poor A.I.If this app actually worked properly and made workout tracking more efficiently, I would give it 5 stars. Not only does it not detect proper lifts the majority of the time, it also rarely recognizes supersets. Every single time I do dumbbell bench press, it thinks I’m doing DB shoulder presses, a lift I have not done one rep of while using this app. Also, with the most recent update, I can’t go into my phone and edit the workouts correctly. It doesn’t have a backspace button to delete an incorrect weight and prevents me from updating it. I train numerous high school and college athletes and had suggested they try it for our sessions. Not one of them are thrilled with it and have all suggested we go back to our old school way of mini-note book. With the time wasted during a workout trying to get the app to work right, we could have written the info down. Waste of a pro subscription..Version: 2.2.0

Great App but super buggyIt’s a great app, AI is smart enough to identify most of my workouts. However, most of the exercises even the most basic ones are paid-only. Supersets also don’t work. It comes and go but very picky. It’s annoying..Version: 2.1.0

Unusable now it has been paywalledThe app used to detect exercises now very exercise is premium and now have to enter manually.Version: 2.0.1

Amazing idea but…It’s an amazing idea of an app and I sounds phenomenal, but I can’t stand that I’m constantly reminded to get the pro version and have certain workouts can’t be tracked unless you pay for the pro version. ESPECIALLY when I have to constantly edit and adjust the apps when I’m working out. I’m not gonna pay for something that depends on the user to correct it..Version: 2.2.6

My series 7 had trouble connecting…I downloaded it from SNAPCHAT instead of the App Store which I never do. I erased the copy on my phone and found the app in the App Store on my phone and it work! ******NEW COMMENT BELOW***** Not every workout is available in app. Custom option button available for manual input, great! Except you can’t add workouts not in the app? What is the point of the custom workout option if I can’t add ANYTHING.Version: 2.2.3

Not compatible for Apple Watch 3Please try to make this available or create a new app that the Apple Watch 3 can download. Some of us can’t buy a new watch like that and I honestly don’t want to spend money just because of this. I enjoy working out and I’ve been trying to find an app that actually counts your reps/ sets so that you don’t forget..Version: 2.1.0
