✓ Toxic and sorta inconsiderateI honestly feel like this app was made for people who want to be IT girls, but are choosing the wrong route. There was so many “studies” saying why men like to be manipulated… not cited, fyi. I can assure you that many men would not like that, and most of the quizzes had stuff to do with people in relationships; I had to quit 4 different quizzes because I’m single and couldn’t answer them accordingly. I feel like the class they put me in, fem fatale, was not it at all. I don’t like lip stick except for certain occasions, I don’t like makeup besides mascara, to be frank; I’m not gonna wear sexy clothing bc I feel like that’s asking for attention; matter of fact, I’m a very modest person, which is not even close to the fem fatale demeanor. How did I get into that class? Answering a short quiz with answers that barely applied to me. Don’t get me wrong, the affirmations are great, and they make my days a little more bearable, but the rest of the app is just toxic feminism, making females seem superior, which just isn’t the case. ✓ Loved it but…This was definitely an app I was so excited to use, I started it and six days later, (I know because I was doing my thirty day Diva challenge) the app started to glitch. Wherever I would tap it to enter the app. It would flash on (as if loading) then flash off. I tried this several times thinking maybe it was a temporary issue, deleted and reinstalled the app twice and after the initial setup, once I tried to renter the app, the same situation would happen. ✓ Unapproved Charges BE WARNEDWhile I’ve been enjoying the app and it’s format I was recently charged $9.99 even though I did not approve any charges or sign up for a subscription. In the app there is no way to remove your payment information or manage subscriptions besides contacting customer support and cancelling subscriptions via the App Store. Well, the App Store does not show me any subscriptions to Manifest so all I could do was email their customer support team. Now I am anxious because I’ve seen other reviews commenting that it is impossible to get a hold of them. ✓ Forcing Pride Manifestations on us.Within the app you can choose what affirmations you want to receive on notifications. I turned this off initially but ket getting asked over and over within the app to activate it. So i did. Tell me why even though i choose a category such as “Declutter and Shine” for example, i always end up getting “Celebrating Love and Pride”. I have nothing against the gay community but why am being forced their affirmations? I have never chosen this category and yet no matter which other category i choose, i just gets the pride affirmations. Whats the point of me even having this app unless I'm gay? They have many categories, a few are free, many popular ones are to pay for but it doesnt matter anyway, you’ll just get notifications on being gay even though you arent gay and didnt choose them. It also has reminders for journaling. I really liked the widget feature for my Home Screen… but after a few days the widget went black, and now it’s not working. However the so called archetype aspect of this app is nowhere to be found. You can’t even take a quiz to discover your archetype. The worst part is I used the app and prior to the end of my free trial date it charged me for an annual subscription (even though I cancelled my membership prior to the cut off renewal date)! I am incredibly disappointed with the features on this app and I even more upset they charged me $32 for a worthless service. Do not buy into the false advertising that this app does it’s all a hoax this app is a bunch of affirmations with no real worth. I mean at least offer quizzes to help the user find their archetype and other features like your fake ads claim. Response to developer: I have already reached out to the developer both via email and the PayPal platform. Each and every response is a template with no actual response from an actual human. You dont need a credit score long as its not bad? In debt get more jobs? Crazy. Having a high credit score opens so many doors as well as having a credit card. Teach self control instead of saying cut up your credit cards. ✓ DO NOT PAY FOR ANYTHING PREMIUM!I had this app all of 2 weeks and I was not using it very much. I got an advertisement from snapchat that offered a free trial, which after completing charges a subsequent $7 or so for the basic package. I DID NOT purchase anything premium as I did not want to make that commitment. Luckily I didn’t as I found I didn’t like the app for my personal daily usage. Since deleting the app I have gotten 3 charges on my card for $30 fees from this app after I had completely deleted my account and made sure that there were no recurring funds. I even emailed their support team and it’s been 2-3 or so months and I have not heard a response. 3 weeks ago I got ANOTHER $30 charge from this app after not having heard anything for nearly 2 months. I was days away from payday and my bank account was cleaned out because of this charge. I am so beyond upset and disappointed as this issue hasn’t been resolved and I have had no luck on my banking side trying to remove this app and it’s fees. ✓ Unable to cancel subscriptionI purchased a subscription for “access” to the app that was advertised through social media. Firstly, you used to be able to pick as many categories as you wanted for your affirmations now they only allow four. ✓ Just being realisticSo I’m excited to manifest and make positive changes in my life and can’t wait to do that BUT the quiz’s and the answer options… they’re not really realistic for me. A lot of my answers I gave didn’t even sound like something I’d choose. I know that this app is about manifesting your dreams and making positive changes and I also know that there’s no such thing as one size fits all but how am I truly supposed to know/discover my archetype if none of the answer options to choose from are something that I would do now in my life? Like what meal would I choose at restaurant or what’s my go to drink for example? The answer options just don’t seem like something I would do now in my current state of mind. How do I manifest or make these positive changes based on my archetype when the answer options don’t align with me? How am I supposed to know what my true archetype is and learn and manifest better if I can’t even align with these choices with my current lifestyle. I love everything else about the app but the quizzes and the answer choices which are VERY important to making changes just aren’t me or anything I align with so I had to give it 3 stars. ✓ WARNING! THIS IS A SCAM!I would bet money on half the positive reviews here being fake. First off, I don’t remember signing up for the paid version and I’m 90% sure I didn’t. Second issue, it’s impossible to cancel the membership through apple subscriptions the way the app tells you to. The app tells you HOW to cancel and has a link that opens up the App Store. But it doesn’t show up. There is absolutely nothing in the App Store that shows Manifest as something you’re subscribed to. (Maybe because I never actually signed up for the paid version of it?) After a lot of runaround I managed to completely delete my account and they’ve still attempted to charge my card two more times. I’ve had to completely cancel my debit card and have a new one issued to stop them. They would have taken $90 out of my account if my bank hadn’t caught them and notified me. All that for what is basically positive thinking flash cards. Using positive thinking and mantras can have benefits to your mental health but this app is a cash grab. My bank immediately recognized the first charge as potential fraud. That usually happens when something has been reported as fraudulent by other people in their system. ✓ Extremely disappointedI made a purchase via instagram where it was not clear this would be a subscription. When I realised, I emailed them (more than once, and well in advanced) to ensure that this was cancelled and no more money was taken. I have had absolutely no acknowledgement and today they have taken more money. To make things worse, the app isn’t even all that useful, and is extremely basic.
