✓ Pretty useless for iPadAs noted in other reviews, your can’t type in landscape mode. Also, it is set up as a several page form, so looking at the entire worksheet while filling it out is not possible. That needlessly complicates things though it may make sense on the smaller iPhone screen. I will resort to creating my own set of forms for my iPad journal. Save your money if your main goal is to use this on iPad..Version: 3.2
✓ Not enough for the moneyThis app does not meet my expectations and I would not purchase it again if given the chance. It is basically a one belief at a time app, and I expected a complete judge your neighbor worksheet to fill in on the go. My expectation for a complete judge your neighbor worksheet was based partially on the high price. I'm hoping for an update in the future that includes a full worksheet. I have used the work on the web before and thought this would be similar--a worksheet I could type out on the go. Is there a worksheet option I'm missing somewhere in the app? ✓ Four questions?The app doesn’t easily show what the four questions are. I’m coming back to Byron Katie after some years so I need guidance. After completing a judge my neighbour sheet it asks you to use the four questions - but it actually doesn’t tell you what they are! Can’t find it on the home screen or anywhere. I’ve had to google it so that I can actually get on and do the Work. Feel like that’s pretty poor....Version: 3.2
✓ Reviewing the app itselfI love The Work and thank you for making this app. In this review, I’m reviewing the app itself. I hesitated before buying this even after reading many of Katie’s books and watching hours of sessions. The app hasn’t been updated in nearly 4 years which made me worried it was developed for old phones and then abandoned. It feels a little clunky on newer phones. The screen space feels unnecessarily constrained die to the black bars. Entering text is more difficult. I think this is because the keyboard isn’t the modern one that fits iPhones without the home button (iPhone X and later). It interferes with my typing habits enough to cause me difficulty typing. This is probably not noticeable on iPhones with home buttons. Other interface elements could be tidied and modernized. The navigation between steps in the work are a hard to interact with, and skipping back very far is slow (I gave up fixing a spelling error in my belief because I only noticed it at the turnarounds, yes I can go back and edit it later). If you accidentally add a turnaround you don’t need, you end up having to put some filler text permanently there because it doesn’t let you leave it blank. I can’t find any way to remove a turn around once it’s added. I also couldn’t see what turn arounds I’d already written after adding the one I didn’t need. Going back from that empty turn around acts like I haven’t done any turnarounds, so I thought it deleted them. I’d love to be able to see all the turn arounds I’ve written already when I’m trying to write the next one so I don’t repeat myself. Overall, the work itself is great and this app is worth the purchase if you are like me and work better on my phone than paper. I’m impressed with how well it guides you through. The app itself could be better with some attention and modernization. I almost didn’t buy it because it looked abandoned, and I might not be the only one making that choice. Turn around: I’m a little clunky and have some glitches. (Yep, also true, and opinionated, and long winded, LOL) thank you!.Version: 3.2
✓ A good beginning but needs refinementTechnical issues with the app exist. It seems it was not well tested. For example, on some pages the belief that you're working on disappears from view when the keyboard comes up. In another case, there is no return key to go down a line. ✓ Still bugsLove the work and being able to do it online & keep in one place. But it’s not working correctly can’t do more than one turnaround.Also disappointing that journal doesn’t save across devices & that if the app gets deleted you lose all your journals..Version: 3.2
✓ Needs work (no pun intended)I use The Work for self-judgements which doesn't work with this app. Why? Because there often is only one turnaround and this app forces you to do more - you get an error message - before you can move on. Very irritating and unhelpful!.Version: 2.0.0

✓ Great work can be done but can't save itIndeed, the app is like Katie holding my hand in the work but I can't save the results!!! I do not have an option button to save or email to myself as stated in the description. ✓ PLEASE change the app so that it can rotate!This is a good app but it really needs to be updated so that the app can rotate to landscape so that people with an iPad can type their answers using a keyboard. Not having the ability to use my keyboard makes this app way more cumbersome and unpleasant to use. ✓ Review with a view to function improvementThe Work is important. I believe it is primordial that the app has a “draft” mode that allows you to work through any worksheet as if you had just started it. I have “lost” work because I had to stop working on the worksheet (ran out of time, life happens, interruptions...) and when I try to go back to it to finish it, the incomplete worksheet is in my work journal but the “edit” function only allows some of the things (add a turnaround but not the 3 situations, for example) to be added (edited in), but does not allow for you to follow the worksheet workflow as if you had just started it. It is great that everything I put in the first go is automatically saved. Now just need to be able to continue the work already started at a different time/session..Version: 3.2.1
✓ Can’t edit/continue the past work...I got the app to ensure I could do the work whilst active through the day. I wanted to be able to start the work and then be able to come back to it and continue it until completion later. The app however does not allow you to go further than the ‘turnaround’ as it gets stuck. Sadly frustrating and would appreciate you fixing it..Version: 3.2

✓ DisappointingIt's missing the Judge your Neighbour worksheet. Goes straight to the 4 questions and then the turnaround. And it's not possible to go back to it later although you can email it to yourself which is helpful if you want to reflect some more. But on the App it appears to disappear forever..Version: 2.0.0
✓ Freezing and crashingGreat app to simply do 'The Work'. However, several bugs exist. Pressing the navigation arrow fails to respond. The video plays audio only and also freezes the app once played - also froze before started playing. The app had also failed to respond when text requires entry. Hope these can be fixed as I'd like to use it more often. Update Oct/15: months after this first review and app still freezing. PLS FIX!!.Version: 2.0.0
✓ App doesn't workI so looked forward to getting this app and after downloading it, it has never worked. The audio button yields nothing and after I type in my statement, nothing happens except the screen momentarily trying to load. I emailed my complaint and no one bothered to even reply from the company. $4.99 is TOO EXPENSIVE for this poor quality of an app...perhaps someone could respond from the company...or maybe I should just contact Byron Katie!.Version: 1.1.0

✓ Really needs an updateI'd love to see this app be more useful. I don't like that I HAVE to enter a typed response- sometimes I'm happy to just realise it to myself. I'd like to just be able to hit "next". Also I really wish it would ask me FOUR questions, not all these bonus questions EVERY time. Let me opt IN to those additional questions. ✓ Great concept - not enough optionsGoing through step-by-step is great but when one thought is investigated, no option to save or go to the next thought without closing app and reopening. Picture of Katie is self serving and unnecessary for doing the work. Not enough screen space to see what has been written and follow own thoughts as I go along. ✓ Not very user friendlyLove the fact that an app exists for The Work, AND there are some technical issues that could be improved. A few examples are: -Can't scroll up to see the belief you're working on without exiting out of the keyboard. -The last letter of each belief is deleted after filling out the worksheet. -Can't zoom in on emotions list. In order to see it you have to pinch zoom and hold it there, but it won't stay. -No way to tap enter when typing a new paragraph. -The typing automatically goes to capitals so when the worksheet is filled out it looks like "I need Paul to Take a deep breath..." The Setup itself isn't very useful as there seems to be a superfluous amount of buttons and things to do that distract from the inquiry. The hardest part for me about doing The Work without a facilitator is keeping focused. I would love the app to tackle this problem with perhaps a voice option so you can do the inquiry out loud instead of writing it down. You can still say your answers out loud using the microphone on your phone when typing your answer, but it would be great to hear the questions aloud and be able to give voice commands when you're ready to move on to the next question. ✓ Nice. But bugs with saving workNeed to be able to delete saved forms because it saves things prematurely so I have a bunch of empty or unwanted forms taking up space on the list. Also, when completing a "Situation" sheet and then moving to creating sheets for those individual Beliefs, the sheets are not saving correctly. The titles are blank (not populating correctly). So saving of forms has major glitches. But the flow of the forms and the idea is great and I'm liking using it. Would also like to be able to email myself the forms to print out or share with others..Version: 3.1.4
✓ Crashed at first useIt's not a very sophisticated app: just goes through four questions to which one types answers and at the end there's probably a little reflective routine which again might require writing down a few words. But I didn't even get beyond answering the forth question coz the app crashed. Pretty poor for such a simple app. Already the A$2.49 are an overkill for such basic app, and on top of being overpriced it doesn't even work! Don't worry buying it! And I should really read reviews before doing purchasing because the only two that were there before I bought reported the app crashing :(..Version: 2.0.0

It helps ask the four questions but lacks two very important features - password protection (if i'm going to pour my heart out I'd like to know it's not going to be seen by others) and landscape mode (for those of us on ipads etc). ✓ Doesn’t work in landscape mode, Hasn’t been updated or fixed in years.My criticism here has nothing to do with Byron Katie’s method or worksheet concept, but the app itself is poorly designed and basically unsupported, especially considering what an incredibly simple concept filling out a worksheet is. It’s to the point where I won’t use it at all because on my iPad it won’t rotate into landscape mode so I can type on my keyboard. Also, the input fields don’t track your typing inputs, so it’s difficult to edit or see what you’ve written if you’ve filled up the limited visibility text box. It seems I cannot edit by being able to add more. It seems I can only edit it what was saved and created in the first place. It’ll be good to be able to edit by being able to add more or ease? Overall...I like it, it just prompt me with the question to answer. It’s handy and you don’t also have to print it.
