✓ Great up to a certain pointThe game is really challenging and addicting at first. However, once you create your first ‘Hall Of Fame’ game, basically every game after that will be in the HoF, and it’s not difficult to create a smash hit anymore. Also, money really becomes no object once you reach a certain level of success as well. So the game kind of gets to this plateau where there is no challenge anymore. For me that only took about 3 hours of play. It’s disappointing because the game is incredible and really fun, but I just wish that it were expanded more so that it continues to be a challenge as you gain more and more success. Also, I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to beat the game, like to win the grand prize at the awards. I’ve had over 10 games that were a perfect 40 rating and I still never win. Maybe the game developers will see this review and add onto the game to extend the fun!.TreeTreeTree13Version: 3.01

✓ Good but glitcheyI have a recurring bug where my save isn’t the right one for example I have 6 people and 3mil in my most recent save but I close the game and reopen it it says those stats but then when I open it it’s from another save that I started and basically went bankrupt so I started a new one aka the 3 mil one but it doesn’t let me play the other one so annoying.JOSHAMAZINVersion: 2.42

✓ The concept is fun but the end game is garbage.The game is fun up until you understand how to play the game and/or get to the end game and depending on how good you are at the game that could be in a hours time. Once you get to the end game and start cranking out “Hall of Fame” games consistently there’s no real challenge or reason to keep playing. In fact once you start making Hall of Fame games it becomes more of a challenge to not make a game that goes into the HoF. And once you get to a certain point money becomes a non factor because there’s nothing to buy. You are just making money with nothing to really spend it on. All of That being said the real end goal is to make a “Game of the Year” game and that seems almost impossible. I have made 29 straight “Hall of Fame” Games, 15 straight games that have scored a perfect 40 rating all of which have made #1 on the top sales chart and I have yet to make a game that has gotten “Game of the year” instead the award is constantly given to a game with a name that’s a pun to a real world game. At a certain point it just felt like the game was against me and even if I would “beat” the game it just feels like it would have no substance to it. This game has potential to be addicting and great but it just falls on its face toward the back end when it should be more challenging and rewarding..BladeMeDoItVersion: 2.36

✓ It’s okay.Overall this game is alright. At first it’s pretty fun and kind of addictive, but the more you play the less you have to do and the less enjoyable it is. Once your company is pretty developed it’s pretty much impossible not to create a good game, which makes it pointless to play. The game also randomly freezes and then crashes. ✓ Fun GameThis game is cute & fun. keeps you busy & time passes pretty fast so you’re always doing something. the only complaints i have is 1. the directions are a little confusing sometimes because of how it’s worded, & i think the game is a little broken/glitchy. and then 2. it’s a little repetitive. after playing the game for a while, i found myself just doing the same thing over & over again so i’m unfortunately getting kind of bored of this game. i’ve only been playing for like 3 days & im already losing interest, which is unfortunate because it truly does have potential & is very very cute..KaylinbbbblolbbbVersion: 3.06

✓ Not as good as Game Dev TycoonThey clearly took this idea from Game Dev Tycoon, so I’m a little confused as to why they would go out of their way to make it worse. It’s still a fun game, but they simplified the graphics, reduced the amount of consoles (doesn’t even reach the PlayStation 3), and made it too expensive to get a decent start. Not to mention its incompleteness; you need a hardware engineer to develop your own console, but apparently no characters in the game have that title, and it’s not even an option when using the job change item. Though this game is still somewhat fun, it’s an insult to Game Dev Tycoon and its creator. Shame on you! I truly expect much much better from Apple Arcade. ✓ Fun at the start but too many ridiculous random eventsThis game is largely inspired by Game Dev Tycoon with simpler tasks to make it play easily on a smart phone. It was fun to start but there are too many uncontrolled random that spoils all the fun. The worst being “Another editor will release a similar game, that will affect your sales badly”. There is not way to predict who is going to release what, so when you invest a lot on a game to be told your sale will be halved you quickly get very crossed. And that’s just one event among other. ✓ Don't bother if you've played the originalI suppose I can't complain since this game was functionally free, but I can't help but feel let down as the "+" in the title led me to believe that this was an expansion or update on the original Game Dev Story that came out over a decade ago. It is not. It is exactly the same as the original in every way, MAYBE some graphical improvement but I genuinely couldn't tell whether or not the graphics had changed or had just been upscaled for today's larger screens. If you already own the original, this app provides nothing. Don't bother. If you don't own the original, this is a decent distraction. It doesn't offer much replay value as the gameplay is incredibly shallow and once you know the "correct" combinations you can effectively print unlimited money on demand, but the hours of experimenting can be fun and addictive. ✓ Improvements almost non-existentDon’t get me wrong, if you’ve never played this than go ahead and give it a try, you won’t be disappointed. If you’ve played the original version, then don’t let the “+” fool you. The only improvement they’ve made is adding in the ability to play the game in landscape mode rather than only portrait. All of the known bugs in the original version are still present (i.e two identical wrestling types, etc.). Additionally they’ve removed the feature to where you can use the gains you’ve made in adjusting the direction of your games after beating it and restarting. This is essentially just a copy and paste version of the original for an easy money grab for the developers by letting Apple use it to promote the Arcade..JfhegekdhVersion: 2.42

✓ Bad Choices Bad GrindYou can really tell this game used to heavily rely on microtransactions. Apple Arcade doesn’t do enough. They removed the in app purchases but not the ridiculous grind….Why are critics absolutely insane with their scores. Your team could have lots of “fun” and make a game that sells really well. I’ll top the charts at #5 and the scores from critics are 4/10 or less??? Also why do the staff that don’t work on graphics come up to me to add more graphics to the game with really low chances of success. Why don’t my sound engineers come to me and ask to increase sound, why do the writers come up to ask that instead. Really bad game script in this game..WhorlovrVersion: 3.06
