✓ Hoped for better....I'm another Kairosoft fan who owns every game. This game was a disappointment, it's just Edo with a bit more development. I also find it surprisingly hard to play well. Come on Kairo, let's get back to the fun sims..BattlepuppyVersion: 1.0.0

✓ Ok but not as fun as other KS games I have.I'm a big fan of both kairosoft games and city building games so I was excited to try this one. Several reviews mentioned the touch not responding appropriately and I was having the same problem. I'm playing on my 6s and I found that when I switched from graphics to performance in the game settings that it got much more responsive. It didn't fix it completely but made it much more playable. But in my opinion it's not worth $5 until they fix the problem..Jrrob75Version: 1.2.1

✓ DisappointedI am a big fan of kairosoft. In fact I have so far purchased every game which they have released. Unfortunately this new title is a direct replica of their last game - oh! Edo towns with little to no noticeable changes. I am not happy but I hope they come out with a better/ more innovative title soon if they wish to remain competitive. ✓ Enough is enoughHot springs, academy, edo towns & now this are all based off the same concept.. And you know what, it's not even an enjoyable concept. The combo system & build map are tiresome and non-rewarding. The progression has poor momentum and often stalls. At the higher cost of these games, I expect to see innovation - not carbon copies of the same game. Ive bought every Kairosoft game up to this point, but after the last two disappointments I'm re-considering my loyalty. ✓ As much as I like kairo, this one bored me out.Lets be blunt. Simulation job game scenario: Lack of hints in figuring out how to advance to endgame. A slow beginning, to a crawl to middle, then a speedy finish. Like most kairo games, same cuddly graphics (whom I adore.) Soft MiDi music. (but who plays sim games w/ sound anymore? I.e repetitive tunes) The gameplay has a strong learning curve to aquire, but just like pocket academy. If you don't layout the proper "combos", (unless you cheat and search interwebs. killing the fun in any discovery sim game) then its pretty tough to survive through normal gameplay. Just finished this week: Epic astro, Megamall and now Venture (also have game dev and hot springs). Venture was by far the biggest burnout to date. Sigh. The interplay between research points and individual attributes seems complicated and they offer ZERO explanation of anything. And the combos are stupid and make no sense to me. ✓ Land values are a bad ideaLike a lot of other people, I've bought all the other games by Kairosoft and loved each one, but this game is getting too complicated now. Land values are seriously ruining what would otherwise be a good game. Obviously it needs to be different from Edo Towns in some way otherwise it's just a modern day equivalent. ✓ Really disappointedI agree with everyone saying this is Kairo's least inspired game yet. Graphically it is nothing novel, and the goal of getting everyone to work and shop is depressing and feels almost evil. The mall game they made was a similar goal, obviously, but due to the graphics came across charming. This game soured me on Kairo. And it kind of irks me that all their games get worse after Game Dev and Hot Springs. Will they recover their creative spark? If they want to make minor improvements to one of their games it would be nice if they would do it as an an update rather then charging for a brand new game. ✓ Good and badThe good: It's a fun and addicting game, and it gives you the idea that you can build a town of your choosing. The bad: Buggy. Basically, when the game was updated recently, they added a bug that makes it very hard to tap the screen. You can only get the "signal" of you tapping the screen in certain places, and those places change every time a dialogue box comes on. That's why this game only deserves 3 stars. ✓ DisappointedI love Edo towns so I thought this would be an upgrade, but I'm sorry to say that this game feels pointless and boring. In today's world, the idea of a game whose goal is to send people on shopping sprees just seems pointless and delusional. I fail to see where there is strategy. For a city sim it would be cool to have to deal with issues like power and cell service, not shopping sprees. ✓ My favorite but...Please keep all the buildings available even the parks so that we can use them over again. The thing that’s really bad is when you invest in a new store and it never shows up to build. I keep losing so much money despite making numerous combos. Please update soon. ✓ DisappointmentI've played every single Kairosoft game and as usual purchased this one as soon a I saw it. This time though I was disappointed in what I found. The idea itself is very cool but the implementation stinks. The biggest complaint is that the usuale feedback mechanism that exists in all kairo games whereby you know exactly why you got something is missing. You will randomly get new citizens and semi randomly get new buildings (some buildings are based on increasing your city size). While a bit of discovery is a part of every kairo game without this feedback you end up with a bunch of research projects unsure of what you'll get so you can't even learn over time.
