✓ My .02 CentsI love this app and everything about it, but instead of it just being called My Movies Pro… They have made several versions, My Movies Pro 1,2,3 and now 4 And instead of keeping their customer base happy, they want to squeeze yet another dollar out of you… I’m sure it takes an extreme amount of work to actually put all this info into an app. I really couldn’t tell you all the details about that because I’m not a programmer… however, I really appreciate the hard work that these people do. However if they’re going to just be greedy like they are… Then just charge us .99 a month like everyone else… or .02 cents for every movie when add a new one… And call the the new app My Movies Pro Max .99 a month (OR) .02 Cents for every movie you add… My point is stop trying to reinvent the wheel when the wheel you have is already amazing!.John wayne mixonVersion: 4.09

✓ Crazy! How many times do I have to pay you?I have paid for my movies app on multiple occasions. Done with it. Good app but doesn’t last long till they come out with another and you have to pay full price again. They comment on others that they never sell with a promise…uummm well ok, I ain’t buying anymore. Good lord man seems like a never ending scam where you know people did all that work to scam dvds and they are stuck and enslaved to developers never ending charging for upgrades. I get it, you work hard on the app. I’m tired of paying for updates and new versions. I do use the app but not enough to justify yet another upgrade charge. ✓ A bad experience .. but works okayGot this up and running after a few emails back and forth with the support person about functionality and confirming price. I understood that after 50 titles then I would be charged the 14.99 annual fee. A week later I passed 50 and was charged 22.99. Sorry they said it just went up today! ✓ New phone won’t synchronize no reply for helpI had this program on my iPhone 12 for two years with 600 movies in the database. I paid for the pro version and was happy with it now I have a new phone and it will not load the movies unless I start paying for a subscription. Here’s the point developers don’t offer a pro lifetime plan and sucker people into paying for it, and then change it to subscription, the fair thing to do would be to offer the app version that we purchased at the lifetime price and leave us have our database there. If we already have an account just honor that account at the last version where you honored your initial offer for me that was my movies pro 4. That version is no longer available in the App Store. So if you buy a new phone you can’t continue with the version you had like you suggest in your comments..JfamacVersion: 5.08

✓ I wouldn’t recommend buying this appThis developer wants you to believe that he keeps reinventing this app every two years. Then tries to force the current users to re-purchase the app. I bought and paid for the pro version because this app literally did everything that a movie app could possibly do. (i.e. scan barcodes, search online, track and sort movie lists) and honestly, it was a pretty good app. But I refuse to multiple times for the same basic features. Fixing bugs and updating for the new iOS versions is considered maintenance. On the bright side, I found a better app even more features. MovieBuddy. Honestly, MovieBuddy lets you back up and restore your movie library to iCloud This developer decided to block its existing customers who chose not to upgrade, which forced me to have to re-enter my entire library again. ✓ Too many updates & keep charging moneyI loved this app before . I scanned my movies , was able to see them … blah blah blah . But they keep updating the app and you have to “upgrade” which means pay if you have more than a set amount so they came out with my movies 3 pro and I paid for that and boom it was the perfect version in my opinion . It was a one and done payment and I have only 1400 something titles and I have it on my iPhone and iPad and it looks amazing . I haven’t deleted it because if I do , I’ll lose everything . ✓ Bait and Switch: Not Worth It!I originally started using the free version of this app several years ago. At first I loved it, because it was a great way to keep track of my large collection of DVDs/BluRays. It took me hours to scan them all in, but I didn’t mind since it created a library I could reference right on my phone. Now, however, they’ve migrated to a new version of the app, and my entire collection of over 900 titles has vanished. I see no way to recover it, and on top of that, they’re limiting the free version to less than 50 titles. Otherwise you have to pay. So, all that time and effort I invested is down the toilet. Why would I pay them just to have to do all that work all over again? Plus, there’s clearly no guarantee that they would bother to retain my data? No thanks!.AkaygrlatlVersion: 4.10

✓ Great for its timeThis app was great a few years ago. They have a desktop app that is used to maintain your collection. This main desktop app has not been updated in over 2 years.. there are issues that they have not fixed and now they throw a couple of updates on a mobile app and want to charge everybody to rebuy the app or charge $10 a year for this app. The other big issue is that physical discs are disappearing from society.. everything has been going to streaming where nobody owns the media and you basically just rent it…. It would be one thing is this app could stream movies, but it does not do that.. the last time streaming from my movies worked was ba k when Windows Media Center was big on Windows 7. Not sure if the app is really worth upgrading.. the previous version does its job to track my physical media inventory..SinfireVersion: 5.08

✓ Steals moneyThis app was worth it at first but after the latest update it wanted me to repurchase something I had previously bought.. I find it unfair that app developers can do this to customers.. I can’t even add movies or log into it with the facebook sign in,I won’t repurchase this app because of the way the developers operate it.. ✓ Do not upgrade or you’ll lose your collectionI have used and loved the previous version for several years. When I recently tried to add a new movie to my collection, I was forced to upgrade to version 4. When I upgraded the so called “free” version only carried over 50 of my 200+ movies. When I decided to put money into this app for my movie collection, all I wanted was a place to keep a list of my movies. I figured the original cost was fair for what I needed the app for, a list. Now with all the updates made to the app the app owners want to keep charging for all the momentous and grand evolutions to an app for a movie list. Where I was once able to keep a list for a few hundred movies, now I’m limited to 50. ✓ Constantly repurchasing allI think I’ve bought this app 4 times now and I’m done. Th $15 pro version will not last long, you’ll be getting prompted in a year to buy the next version that looks virtually identical to the current verision. You dont even get all the features in the pro app when you purchase, statistics for example are only for the users who benefit the creator, whatever that means.
