Awesome! … but no controller support?Man pleas fix this. 5 star game all day when/if controller support is added fella.Version: 1.0

So Close to Being ExcellentShadow Blade is an entertaining little casual platformer that could have been great if not for bugs and inconsistent difficulty. I had a great time playing through the first five areas, little of the platforming was all that difficult but collecting all of the items and getting it all done in a time limit was challenging with a few levels taking me ten or more tries to pull off. The combat is very unsatisfying on its own but when the climbing walls, dodging traps, jumping between platforms and taking down enemies flowed together perfectly you feel fantastic. It’s such a shame then that when you get to the final Dojo area and seven or eight of the levels are missing coins or have the percentage found miscalculated so you can’t fully complete them. Compounding on that they also thrown together with some of them easily being completed on your first try it’s a pretty poor climax to the game. Not to mention two of the achievements being buggy and not finishing. There’s a great casual game in here, I loved that I could pick it up and run through a level in a minute or two but often found myself going back for just one more try on particularly difficult levels. It just needed a little more polish to make the experience a more positive one. It’s a shame Apple doesn’t have higher quality control standards for the games they curate on Apple Arcade..Version: 1.0

Could be great. Two things: needs controller and Apple TV support. Otherwise there’s just too many swipe combos to remember and execute. Basically, I’d like to be see every Apple Arcade game have controller support and available on Apple TV. So much untapped potential for this game and all the others that don’t want to be part of the console experience that Apple Arcade, Apple TV and a decent controller truly offers..Version: 1.0

Bad controlsBeautiful game but bad controls.Version: 1.0

Please add controller supportFun but would be great if it better supported controllers.Version: 1.0

GlitchesThe dojo levels have a glitch. All but one and the final do not have enough items to get to 100% (or the count gets messed up, I can’t tell which). I saw this in another review so I know it isn’t just me. That’s surprising for a game in the Apple Arcade. Figured these games would be better..Version: 1.0

Shadowblade-Shadowblade-the blood…why? How stupid.Version: 1.0

Missing orbsI want to know how orbs disappear when you port a game. Do they shake loose? Do they accidentally get stepped on? I only ask because it’s annoying when you’re trying to collect something that doesn’t exist..Version: 1.0

Air dash bug in tutorialThere is a bug when using a ps4 controller in the tutorial, i can’t progress past the blue wall because the air dash won’t work. i am on the ipad mini. the game seems really cool but i won’t find out until the bug is fixed.Version: 1.0

Buggy and questionable for the ArcadeI played the original version of this game and it was OK for what it was. It’s a basic game: run through the level, collect all the stuff, slash the bad guys, do it fast. But the glitches and bugs seem to have made it to the plus version. Many levels say you’re missing coins even though you scour every inch of the map. And a few levels have some graphic artifacting. Not sure this was high quality enough to be resurrected in the arcade..Version: 1.0

Fun (but buggy) while it lastsThis game is short and straightforward. Most levels are easy to get 100% on after only a couple of attempts. The Dojo levels, however, are very buggy. Some lack enough items for 100% completion, and some won’t register as complete after you finish them. I expected more from a “+” game and better quality control from Apple..Version: 1.0

Feels unfinishedThis game feels unfinished. It's a very uninspired platformer, with absolutely no surprises. You've played it thousands of times before. The combat is odd, as if the animation is separate to what is happening on screen. Apple Arcade have too many of these half-finished games..Version: 1.0

Needs controller supportGreat game otherwise.Version: 1.0

Dive Attack does NOT work on DualShock 4 ControllerHello The dive attack option does NOT work on DualShock 4 controller, so I can’t move the character down while playing with DualShock 4 controller. Please fix this issue asap. Thank you.Version: 1.0

A decent time-wasting distraction. But one MAJOR complaintIt's a no-frills platform game that offers a nice challenge with the time limit and coin collecting elements necessary to get three stars on a level. The game is easy to pick up and the difficulty creep is sensible. With the exception of all of the dojo levels. Which is where my big complaint comes in. For the most part, all of the dojo levels are very easy and you could three-star most of them on the first try. Well, you could IF basically every dojo level didn't cheat you and say there were coins left to be collected that didn't actually exist. I've been all around every level in the dojo that I got two stars on, and I'm telling you... there no more coins to be found. It's irritating to 100% a game but not actually be given credit for it. If you're a completionist, avoid this game. If you want a mindless platformer to kill some time and challenge you, this game also isn't for you, unless you do want to 3* almost every level. In that case, just avoid the dojo levels..Version: 1.0

Backbone support would be nice.Backbone!!!!.Version: 1.0

Missing Coins from first level of DojoIt says it has 54 and yet I searched all the level and only found 52 I’m stuck at 96% of coins I’m that level, I looked up a walkthrough and it had an extra coin. This a bug? Edit: Also in the dojo chapter, some levels I got all coins, letters, and under the time limit yet I don’t get the 3 Stars for that level..Version: 1.0

Controller supportPlease make for Backbone.Version: 1.0

THIS GAME IS SO HARD!!!!!DO NOT GET THIS APP!!!!!!!!.Version: 1.0

Not as appears.I was interested in the game because of the bloodiness, but in the game there is no actual blood and gore. If Apple wants more people playing their games on their store, they should shy away from unnecessary censorship. Other than that the game has alright mechanics but nothing over the top..Version: 1.0

The dojo level is impossibleI’ve searched on several levels, multiple times, regardless of time, and I cannot get to 100% of the “stars”. They just don’t exist. I have beaten level 6 on it twice with all three stars, and it will only ever show 2. I have fully completed the other 5 level sets, but the dojo is broken. Badly..Version: 1.0

Pretty neat game, but it Feels like a Disappointment that it’s this Technically BrokenM going to be critical of this game because is gave me a bundle of disappointment, This game is fairly simple move left to right, jump, and attack, with a decent variety of combinations of these controls and mechanics such as the sneak, dive, and dash attack. It’s fairly simple for the base content (zones 1-3 as I’ll call them) and a fairly decent progression of difficulty, in the end I’d find myself rating this game a 4/5 it’s an alright time, albeit a very average game but for the length of this game (about an hour and a half given that you try to get full completion) it’s alright. It would be rated this, if it weren’t for the fundamental problems of epilogue content, as of this time, you may literally not be able to complete the game fully and it’s because of two outstanding problems, The Dojo Zone (an extra zone you can unlock) and the Achievement ‘Kanji Master’. To start with the Dojo, most of the levels are impossible to get three stars on, not because of difficulty but because of an error that adds nonexistent orbs that show up nowhere in the level, making you always short of the full amount and leaving you with two stars, you can confirm this by watching walkthroughs of these levels and comparing the orb amounts of the level end screen, this is seen in level 1 with 54 orbs when there really should be 52 Level 3 has 57 orbs when there should be 54, if I’m correct, this occurs in all but one of the dojo levels where there are orbs so you can’t get all the stars. Granted one may not be looking for stars, however another problem arises with Game Center Achievements. The Achievement ‘Kanji Master’ requires you to collect all the unique kanji, which are large green kanji symbols located in levels, usually hidden as ‘collectibles’ the counter for this stops at 22% which based on calculations of levels with kanji, and that two kanji are in each of these levels, you would get (59*2)*0.22 which gets you roughly 26 Kanji, or the amount you would get after completing 13 levels with Kanji in them. As the calculation shows, there are 59 levels with Kanji, and you can see if you collected all of them because it’s always a star requirement, in addition there’s an achievement below this one called ‘Kanji Lover’ which has you collect 66 Kanji, or 55% of all unique Kanji. So you are unable to grab all of the achievements for this game. This really shouldn’t be seen as a powerful message, and it shouldn’t be used necessarily as a download or not download move, in the end it’s up to you, Personally, I think it’s a 2 star for these disappointments, on a port called shadowblade‘+’no less. Hopefully it gets fixed on day, then I’d be happy to adjust my view on this game but until then, just be aware of these problems if you plan on downloading..Version: 1.0

Not bad, but not greatIf you want a quick game to slash some foes, then it might be what you are looking for, but overall I’m not too impressed. There’s an assortment of about 70 1-2 minute levels, but there’s not too much of a challenge except with regards to time and a few specific enemies. (I’ve only played chapter 1 and a few of the more difficult levels). I was kind of hoping for a bit more to the game than just trying to complete all levels with 3 stars. Furthermore, there is no game controller support, so it’s harder to play and not as fun on an iPad. The swipe control option is also difficult to use in my opinion. Personally, the sound effects are a bit too gory for me, and the music is mediocre, so I prefer to play with the sound off too..Version: 1.0

Doesn’t fill the screenI can’t believe that the iPad mini is still getting new games that aren’t formatted correctly to fill the iPad mini 6 screen. It’s a huge turn off..Version: 1.0

Needs Backbone Controller Support PleeeeaaaasssseeeThat’s it. Haven’t actually played it yet and I love my Backbone..Version: 1.0

Fun but incomplete gameIt's a decent game but seems incomplete. The Dojo levels seem to have the wrong count for the yellow orbs (e.g. the first level has 52 but wants 54. YouTube videos confirm the original version has 52). It gets a little repetitive and could use some new mechanics as you progress. I'm assuming the kanji are the green characters that each level has 2 of, but to have all of them and the achievement has only tracked 80% for the 25 unique kanji achievement..Version: 1.0

Add controller supportPlease add controller support.Version: 1.0

Missing orbs in some Dojo levelsOverall I really like this game, and would probably give it four or five stars except for the fact that there are a number of levels in the dojo that you literally can’t get all three stars for. They are missing enough orbs to allow you to get the third star! I’ve even watched other people completing the levels on YouTube to make sure that I didn’t miss some thing and I essentially do exactly what they do and I still can’t get the last star!.Version: 1.0

Shadow warriorMy $100 controller (looks like a ps4 controller for my iPhone XR) works just fine with this game and has before! What is the problem?! Let me know asap and thanks..Version: 1.0

Fun gameIt’s a fun game and a decent way to waste time - enjoy hunting the challenges. Slightly annoying that some of the three star finishes in Dojo don’t track..Version: 1.0
