✓ GlitchyI love the game I bought the dlc and are having a blast until the glitches started getting more frequent. Whether or not it’s the crafting shop or the woodcutter or one of those place orders and they make it places, every now and again the worker will be “waiting for partner” even though there’s no icon anywhere, I check all the houses and there’s no record of them anywhere I have to change a bunch of workers to fix the problem and it barely works most of the time. And lately when I have start the school not all the kids show up and then the teacher gets ejected from the building and the school says no one works their when I assign the teacher there it gets all glitchy and I have to demolish the place. And I get the whole pandemic thing can wipe people out and the alert to someone dying is great but occasionally a group of people will die for no reason without warning it gets annoying I have to replace people a lot I just want to play the game without worrying that something is going to mess up..Version: 0.59
✓ Good potentialThis has the potential to be a great game, however some tweaks are needed. If you run out of resources, for example stone, you can’t build a pick axe without stone but you have no way to get it so your mellows just walk around and eventually die. There are occasional resource drops if you watch an ad but these don’t cover it. It shouldn’t be the same resource required to build the tool to collect that resource! There are also some issues with mellows getting sick as other reviews have stated. So this game has a lot of potential and I really started to enjoy it but at the moment needs some tweaks to make it long lasting playable..Version: 0.59
✓ Good but brokenA fun and slow paced game if you can figure out the mechanics to avoid your little people dying off so quickly. ✓ Pay to playI love the game think it could really go somewhere but where I give it a 2 not a 4/5 is just because of how play to pay it is it you really want to do anything you need the blacksmith atleast witch we can’t even get without paying 5.99 witch is a lot for a add on on a phone game. I really think if you was to allow none pay to play players to be able to accesss more you’d have w more popular game because I’m already done with all 3 saves cause I can’t do anything as I can’t even build more hammers to build buildings. ✓ Don’t run out of axesThis game is fun however it needs to be reworked somehow. If you run out of axes to cut trees you can’t produce any more because the axes require wood. There needs to be a way to get more wood somehow like demolishing a tree or manually cutting it down. That makes the game unplayable.Version: 0.55

✓ That game is good except for a couple of thingsI have actually had a really good time playing this game but after a little while I have been noticing all the bugs. They make it pretty hard to keep a village alive. I don’t know if I’m just dumb and missing something or if this is bad game design but I had a game going pretty well until I ran out of pickaxes. I literally couldn’t do anything about it either because you have to have stone to make a stone pickaxe. It completely ruined what was otherwise a pretty good village. A way that you might be able to fix this is to have a type of tool below stone that doesn’t run out of durability but that might make it a little to easy. I don’t know if my idea is the one you would want to do but you have to do something about that, if you did fix the tools then this would be an immediate 4 or 5 star game..Version: 0.49
✓ Burns up your phone, crashes, and needs DLC to progressThis was a great game, and I would love it completely, but after two days of having it on my phone I’m sadly ready to remove it. It freezes so often and heats up my phone really quickly, despite my phone having plenty of storage available, and I now find I can’t progress any further without buying the DLC which lets me build the other half of buildings available. It wasn’t worth playing through with the resources I had, and it freezing/crashing constantly wasn’t worth it either..Version: 0.59
✓ It’s not terrible but it isn’t goodIt could use some work, like making storage customizable to keep tools, potions, materials, and foods separate and organized. It’s also pretty boring after an hour or two max. It’s a small game that has a few buildings and after a couple of hours you’ll have 50 of every building since there’s so little. It’s cool they throw in plagues to spice things up a bit though.Version: 0.60
✓ Good but some problemsOk, it’s a really good and entertaining game, well thought about, and good art. The only bad thing is that eventually, all your mellows get sad, and leave OR they get sick and die. The sick problem can be fixed by the herbalist, but the happiness problem can’t be fixed unless you have, a tavern, or a church, or making some babies, when a mellow gives birth, the child has no way of gaining happiness and eventually leaves, so none of my children make it to adulthood, this leaves the only option of making a TEN DOLLAR purchase to buy the DLC, which gives you the tavern and church. ✓ Needs heaps of improvementNeeds $10 for the DLC, probably around $40 for all extra content, ver addictive but gets old very quickly when you don’t have much stuff, which is in the DLC. Stopped playing after about a day due to the lack of engagement, gets repetitive with limited content. A little laggy but very good otherwise. Will follow up once you have optimised. ✓ Has potential, needs big workI’ve been playing for a while now, and I love the game, however I think paying for the DLC is a big stretch, especially with the fact that the Mellows need happiness or else they leave. You have no way for them to gain happiness for free, except with giving birth (which takes forever btw). Not to mention, massive amounts of glitches. For example: I made it to season 102 and my entire population except for one man and one female was wiped out suddenly. They all just dropped suddenly and I was like “They were all just fine, what happened??” It felt like I spent all that work for my Mellows to just DIE after I spent so long to get to 30+ of them- Not to mention: Some of them glitch in their jobs, such as the teacher, the farmer, the delivery man, the herdmans. When they’re “dying” they stay stuck and just never die. It’s aggravating. Or they take forever to get to where supplies are, and all the storage areas will be right by them. Also: I have WAY too many seeds, more seeds than the herbs for making medicine. I’ll continue to give feedback as it goes along..Version: 0.56

✓ Foundations for a great game!I wanted to write a genuine review exploring both pros and cons to this game. I just wanted to start off by saying this is a fun game and has the foundations to be excellent. I downloaded this game on a whim and thought I’d give it a go. The idea of the game is to keep mellows (villagers) alive and to build a village. In order to do this you need to assign mellows to different jobs depending on where they’re needed. I enjoy the idea of this and thought it was really fun to begin with… that was until I’d been playing the game for about 4 hours. The game is stuck behind a paywall and you can’t progress any further without buying the DLC or premium pass. It’s a very quick game if you don’t want to spend money on it and it quickly reaches the limit to what you can do on the game. You can try and survive as long as possible but the enjoyment plateaus and you realise your just doing the same thing over and over again. The game could be excellent if they added more features into the free version and made the DLC more enticing. I would love to rate this game a 5/5 one day, it so easily could be!.Version: 0.59

✓ I like it but it needs work.This game has a lot of potential. Right now it is still in beta, and I think it needs a lot of work before it’s really good. First, I think the food needs are too high. I have to have about half of my workers just collecting food all the time. Second, they make way too many babies. Quite apart from the fact that babies take food but can’t do anything useful, the workers spend time waiting in their house for their partner so they can get down to the baby making business, then delivering the baby takes a long time as well. So all this time they aren’t working. Currently they seem to have babies every two years, which is an extraordinary rate of reproduction. That needs to go down by about half. The only way to make up for all of the useless mouths that need feeding is to keep recruiting adults. But it just goes exponentially! More adults make more babies, which means you need more adults! I haven’t yet gotten to the point where any babies grow up, because my guys all start starving or getting sick. There aren’t enough resources in the nearby area to keep recruiting new guys either. Basically it needs balancing. I’d suggest greatly decreasing the reproductive rate and food needs to start. The good news is the developers seem to be putting out updates very frequently at this point..Version: 0.53.1

✓ Could be great - currently it's okayThis game has so much potential. I like the concept and its fun to play, but the bugs almost render the game unplayable. If the farmers don't finish the crop cycle, then the farm land becomes unusable. it stays stuck on the "harvesting" phase and the farmers won't plant crops in spring. the only way I found to fix this is to delete the farm, but farms are expensive so it's not a solution. My second issue is with the mellows. they get stuck on buildings and pastures and stay there until they die. A solution to this would be to have a reset mellow option that puts them back at the tent. Also when all the mellows die at once there is no explanation. if all my villagers die at one time I should be able to learn what I did wrong, instead of guessing in the dark over and over. Sometimes the mellows won't do their job for some reason, and I wish I could fire them specifically instead of having to play a numbers game to keep other workers and remove them. I want an option to fire workers or kick them out of the village by clicking on them. Also the ability to hire a mellow by clicking on them and choosing the profession. Lastly, we should be able to tell lumberjacks and miners where to mine so we can build our villages where we want. I hope the developers see this, because I truly love this game. I just wish it was more user friendly and less of a guessing game..Version: 0.56

✓ Very cute but mellows are annoyingI love this game very much, but my mellows keep dying cause they need bows to hunt for things (but the craftsman wont do anything even though i have plenty of resources) and my herbalist wont make the potions (i’ve had a huge potion in queue for multiple seasons with plenty of resources and they still wont do anything). i also would like for there to be a priority building option because the builders only go in order from what u want to be built but sometimes i need a storage container to be prioritized but these dummies are like “no! we are building a house that we don’t have enough resources for first 🙏”. i feel like the “break times” are unnecessary too because i have ppl literally starving to death and the herbalist is just deciding to go in a break even though everyone is super close to dying because the hunters dont have bows because the craftsman is also on a year long break and its very annoying. the break wouldnt be needed if my dudes went and crafted what i needed them to craft in the first place, but because they took a long break, now i need 10 more of something else and then all they do is gather resources and then not craft the first thing i asked for them to make. i also just noticed a mellow was dying of starvation but had ten pieces of food on him. he then went to put the food away, lived for a bit longer (enough time to go get food and eat it), and then died. other than the many glitched, very cute and good game.Version: 0.49
✓ Very glitchy!The concept of this game is good but it’s not executed well at all. About a year ago I tried downloading this game, whenever I tried to open the game it sent me to a grey screen for about 10 seconds and then the game shut by itself. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling many times, I tried turning my phone on and off, I really tried everything I could and nothing fixed the problem. I recently got a new phone and decided to try this game one more time. It fully opened for about 30 minutes (just long enough to get me interested in the game) and it started lagging and freezing, I closed the game and reopened it but it started sending me to the grey screen again. The problem is repeating itself over multiple devices and it seems to be unfixable. I’ve never had this problem with a mobile game before and it’s very disappointing that this is happening because the game was very fun..Version: 0.60

✓ Please fix bugsSo many bugs population number doesn’t decrease when people die, farmers don’t farm the land, when allocating people to their jobs it bugs out and says no one is allocated but there is and the building won’t work even when removing the worker then putting in a new worker, the animals don’t multiply in the pens, seasons get stuck and the game stays in winter during the spring but when you reload it opens in summer. ✓ Love it but….After spending money on this game, I was expecting the perks and DLC to help me progress or at least entertain me, but instead glitches galore where I can’t even use the DLC! Herdsman’s animals will end up spawning outside their fence and just stay glitched out, unable to move. Plants spawn in bodies of water, so my gatherers will choose to go after that specific plant that they can’t reach and just sit there being unproductive. Some mallows like to “go on breaks” which you don’t notice till you’re out of resources or all your mallows are sick and dying. Glitches galore. Super frustrating when you spend money on a game like this which is great in concept but buggy in action. I wouldn’t normally be so upset about glitches or bugs, except for the fact that it doesn’t seem like the games planning on being updated/upgraded. First of all you can’t play the game for very long without it crashing and it ends up resetting all your progress. This makes the game really hard to play. Second of all I could see a lot of people getting confused on how to play because the game has no tutorial on how to play the game. ✓ It’s okay But not for Free-to-play style people* Long Story Short - Too many ads - You need to pay for needed benefits for progress (DLC) - you will need consistent dedication and time Now the game itself is okay. The concept is similar to Don’t Starve. But with a larger and growing population. I did enjoy the first half hour worth of time I spent on the game. But there were some things I didn’t enjoy so I deleted the app. There are too many ads within the games mechanics. Due to the slow progress of your growth there are bonuses within the game to help boost your progress. They do come at a timely bases. But they come with ads. Now they aren’t long like 30sec at most from what I have experienced. But they do add up quickly if you keep going for those bonuses. To my surprise you will encounter a challenge that has an option for a solution in game. But to have a larger variety to overcome that challenge you will need the DLC. At the beginning it may seem small and confusing. But after sometime it built up to the point most of the population was affected by this challenge. Now time is indeed something we all have if we want to give it. As for myself I have quite a bit of it at the moment. For those who don’t have that much time to spare I wouldn’t recommend this game. Given the slow progression of progress, and on top of that the ads for boost in progress which can end in like 2 min or just a boost in population. Nonetheless it’s okay But not for me..Version: 0.49
✓ DLC purchase ruins gameIt’s a fun game until you realize there’s not much new to do without making in app purchases. This game has the unoriginal feature that every other game has where you complete tasks in order to get rewards with the option to purchase a premium pass ($6 too much) but they dont even give you a reward each tier, only every 2 tiers.. The game gets quite difficult and pretty boring within the first hour unless you pay money or watch ads every other minute. DLC feature they have is an in app purchase that extends your gameplay with more buildings and such, but i strongly believe this should be free considering how limited the free gameplay is. Would be fun if that was the case. If not, might as well charge money upfront for the full game itself. ✓ Love hate relationshipI love this game but it has become so frustrating to play that I’m done until an update is performed. I always thought the mellows were cute but I look at them with annoyance now. They stop working when supplies are available and get stuck in one animation for seasons upon seasons. I’ve lost 5 colonies just today because of this. All of the resources were there but they either got stuck eating, waiting for partner, in break time or just nothing at all. And it isn’t just one mellow it’s multiple. Not only that but the buildings glitch too. The church shows always available to ring when it’s not. They either starve and die or get sick and die because the mellows are stuck. Please please fix this. I want to play the game but not like this… it’s unplayable. ✓ Cute, but…First of all, this game overheats my phone like crazy! After five minutes of playing, my phone starts to heat up. Everything slows down as well. This is really strange and disappointing. I have an iPhone 13, no other apps are open, and I even took off my phone cover but that didn’t help. This game could be really cute. Sadly, theMarshmallow theme stops at the character appearance. This could be so creative… For example instead of gathering apples, they could be chipping away at sugar crystals! The whole thing is just so boring as it is. but it really could be so much more interesting if they just made it all marshmallow themed. Currently …The look of the character could change and it wouldn’t even matter to the rest of the game. There is no backstory; really would’ve loved to have a story as to how these marshmallow people even came into existence! But none of that really matters since I can’t even play the game because of how much it overheats my phone. ✓ Extremely glitchyI absolutely love this game… usually. It is gorgeous and well though out, but there is a point where, no matter how far you are or how many hours you put into the game, it stops functioning. One major glitch is that the mellows will get pregnant and stay pregnant until they die??? One of my best towns has been wiped out because of this. Another big one is that the game will keep reassigning houses to people, forgetting that others exist, and then you end up with three husbands, two of which can’t move or be helpful in any way. They just stop existing for some reason but still count towards the population. The last glitch I’m not entirely sure is a glitch. This is when a mellow decides to take work off for “break time” and doesn’t come back for almost an entire season. It might just be part of the gameplay, but I think it gets a bit out of hand at times. Overall, could spend hour after hour on this game if I knew it would pay off, but there is too much of a risk of everything being destroyed..Version: 0.62
✓ What this game needsThis game needs to improve, it is extraordinarily fun and a good concept but needs a little more to push it to 4-5 stars, it lacks, fun expansion, ocean travel, evolving housing, and fun markets. Imagine a much larger map allowing for towns with 100s of Mellows that interact with each other by trading goods with each other in markets, explore on boats set up little towns that over time evolve. The game cause use ports and have that in the DLC with fishing, traders and more. Markets that help a mellow improve their base house. Separate towns that you could also build like colonies on a much larger map. This is what the game needs and lacks, also selecting mellows to work a certain locations could be a fun idea as well but expansion of the map, natural evolution of the town, ports to explore the world and set up new towns and Mellows actually interacting with each other is what this game needs to be a great game..Version: 0.59

Children can reproduce with their parents? Two of the craftsman Mallows are just stuck doing nothing saying ‘waiting’. Apart from all that you have something really good. I was even going to purchase the DLC pack until all the bugs put me off. There’s not been an update in two months so maybe one is needed. ✓ Pay to play, basically.Another comment mentioned pay to win. I would say I disagree. Without paying, you can probably get a couple hours out of this game before it becomes useless to play (without paying) quite a fun game and could be amazing with some FREE ways to extend the fun in the game. I know I sound picky for not paying, but when you have to buy anything that is interesting, it’s a bit much. It’s okay to have a bit of dlc, but not the whole mid to late part of the game. For example, you start out having a bit of trouble surviving and providing for your mellows, totally fine, it’s a survival game. Then you build storage for materials, house for villagers, tool smith for stone tools, woodworker for wood materials, farm, and potion brewer to stop sickness and heal people. Then the game is over unless you want to pay. You can of course expand your village, but at that point it’s an endless cycle of the same thing. They made iron tools dlc. Idk. That one seems a bit much lol. But anyway, the game has great potential, but needs more free content to help players hold interest, and create long term playability..Version: 0.59

✓ Could Be GoodI really wanted to like this game. It reminds me a lot of the Virtual Villagers games I love for the PC. But… For one, I quickly realized that this would be the sort of game where you spend a lot of time watching videos to make progress less frustrating. I don’t like playing games that way but this is one where the practice is obviously encouraged. Secondly, I only got to play the game for maybe an hour. In that time, the game froze 4 times. Twice during videos and twice for no reason. It almost seems like the app can only handle running for about 15 minutes before crashing. Lastly, after the fourth crash, I went back because -not gonna lie- I was enjoying the game. I loaded the game and realized it had deleted 45 minutes of progress! I went from a decently progressed little group of 11 working on their first advance buildings back down to 3 mellows with barely anything. 45 minutes may not seem like a lot but it technically was 3/4ths of my progress It really is a cute little game. And I’d seriously love to play it. But if it’s going to delete progress over and over I don’t want to waste my time on it. I would hope after 4+ years bugs like this would have been fixed. ✓ Good but bait game to make you spend moneyI like this game. I would spend £5 to buy it and get rid of the adverts. However the developers want me to spend a lot more. Everything is designed to sabotage your game and make you spend. 1) constantly mellows come to drain your resources. 2) I here they die before you could possibly have built a herb hut. 3) you will run out of wood and stone if you are not omnipotent. 4) the game favours the banner ads. ✓ Great potential but needs a lot of updatingI’m reviewing with 2 stars. Don’t get me wrong, the game is pretty addicting to play! But the fact that my phone is over heating and the game starts freezing up and stuff.. isn’t great. As for the mellows, I think they shouldn’t be making so many kids. I get that keeping a population going, you need to just go for it.. but literally it gets so annoying and waiting for them to pop the baby out takes quite a while. Like depending on what job they have, it can make your game so stressful. I think adding a feature to where you can select who does what will be a bit simpler. ✓ Super bugThe game is great, don’t get me wrong, but there are so many unforgivable bugs! I had been playing this game for a while and got to a population of 45+ mellows. My civilization was thriving and I was on the 81st season, and then suddenly ALL OF MY MELLOWS DIED. Just like that. No warning. It wasn’t some sort of pandemic either, there was none of that. What happened was that suddenly every single one of my mellows were dead. I get that this game is still in development, but how can such a glitch be in the game? I had been working in that save file for weeks, and it just disappeared within 2 minutes of me opening the game. Not to mention all the other bugs that have been happening constantly. Mellows simply stop working out of nowhere. In the middle of the task the mellow would just stop and not do his work. Mellows would constantly get stuck in loops of walking back and forth or being stuck in place. There are just too many bugs in this game. ✓ MellowsSo just started playing this game about a week ago, love the game, but i have to agree to some of the other comments people have made. 1. Builders, no matter how many builders I might have, they seem to work on a buildings partially , and then start another building, there has the be a way to build the first one that was put down before starting another. 2. Workers assigned to work in a building, that stop working because they are waiting on I guess on their spouse* ?? There should be a way as someone suggested of firing them. Built the school, have children of age to go to school, but it stays empty, what’s up with that? Last but not least I have tools seem to I guess break, but they only seem to want the wooden items and not the metal items factory that brought. The game becomes frustrating when buildings aren’t producing because it says the mellow is “waiting for partner”, but you can never locate this mellow. ✓ Lag and loss of progressLet me start out by saying that the actual gameplay was pretty fun and enjoyable for me hence the latter problems. About 10 minutes through playing my game became very laggy and was slow to react to inputs. This became very irritating after only a short while. One other issue I encountered was that I had closed out the game after making it to year three and having a good amount of progress and when I reopened, my save file was gone. The last issue was that this game has many pay to win buildings and extra content which locks you out from really getting interested and far through the game. Overall, the gameplay was fun while it lasted and I think that this game has good potential and art style. ✓ It’s a cool game but could be betterI love this game very much and hope it continues on for a while. The reason why I’m giving it 3 stars is its a cool game but just so repetitive you max out any get everything there is to offer without the DLC, the DLC is unfair I think because it should be free since how little the game has to offer in construction and task wise. ✓ Needs improvement has potentialI have played for a while now and there are a lot of things that can be improved on like when you run out of tools and resources you can’t use other tools in their place to get more resources. Then you can’t continue. Your mellows slowly die off or leave. Also the mellows seem to be quite lazy when it comes to getting things done. I’ve watched alot of adds to speed things up and they still stand there and don’t want to work or go home to eat. Also you should be able to click on each individual mellow to take them out of work rotation when they are sick or pregnant. The way it is set up you have to pull all of them out of the job and hope you get the rite one out for a break. The season pace is also set too fast. You don’t get enough time to get ready for winter so your mellows suffer for it. Please fix these things and it will be a great improvement.Version: 0.54

✓ Addictive but buggyGreat game but the bugs ruin the experience, although it’s forgivable due to this game being in beta. The main issues I have had are the farm not finishing and not getting any harvest from it. And a weird bug where everyone in the village keeps dying at the same time with no warning meaning I have to start over despite making good progress which is frustrating. I would also like there to me more content available on the free version of the game as it feels a little repetitive once you establish the main elements of the game and you’re left to just grow what’s already there. It would also be nice to tell specific villagers what to do as I have accidentally moved the wrong villager off of specific tasks to take medicine and had to reconfigure the whole village to get everyone back where I want them. Plus it can be difficult to tell which villagers have the issues that pop up in the side menus so it would be better if I could click on the issue and see which villager it corresponds to. For some odd reason the mellows need breaks every TWO seconds and cause the other’s to starve to death. ✓ Pay to Play and GlitchyI gave the game two stars only because it was initially fun. The game seems like a great game. It has plenty of potential, however there are several issues with the game. First being the fact that no matter what device the game is played on, it drains the battery and makes all devices hot to the point that the game isn’t working properly. My next problem and biggest issue with the game is the fact that you HAVE to buy the DLC in order to keep the residents (Mellows) happy. There’s no way to direct certain residents to do certain tasks either, meaning they take resources randomly to different buildings instead of focusing on one building project at a time. Another issue I’ve come across is the ads not working when you want to gather animals or more Mellows. Not sure if they didn’t have enough ads or if the game wasn’t working properly. Then, when you manage to get certain buildings built like the craftsman building or the wood cutting building, regardless of how many Mellows you have assigned, they all leave the building to gather materials from the bigger storage rather than get it out of the storage tent you start with. ✓ A bunch of bugs!To start, whenever a child was supposed to grow, it would stay as a child. It would do everything it needed to do at that age, but up until 25 it would remain a child. Then, when it became fall, there was always atleast one tree with green still on it !! Some of the mellows (or fruit pickers) would stand like a bit away from the tree and try to shake it, and they would stand there for hours tryna get apples. It’s ridiculous. I know free games need money so they relay on ads to support them and I can live with that and I think it's pretty reasonable. What I don't like about this game is when you done everything you need to do, build houses, hunt, mine, chop wood, build. The reason why people are playing free games are because their free, and it's fine to add a feature where you have to pay for certain thing that is it really necessary for the game. ✓ Almost so awesomeI really do love this game. It is so cute and I love all the features. I’ve played it pretty compulsively for the past few days. The glitches have finally killed my spirit though. Sometimes you can “outsmart” the glitches by completely closing the app and starting it again, by reassigning glitchy workers, or by rebuilding glitchy buildings. Make sure you have enough storage because I got stuck with not enough storage once and everyone died because they couldn’t empty their baskets. I can survive forever without issue now, but I end up with like 30 pregnant ladies who never give birth no matter how I rig the circumstances and the population plateaus for me at around 80 mellows. I wish I could assign mellows to houses. I don’t super love that 12 year olds get pregnant with older mellows from time to time lol but the -2 stars was for all the glitching..Version: 0.62
