✓ Urgent Request: Improve Energy System!Magicabin is addictive, but the energy system is pushing me towards financial instability. Without more ways to earn energy, I may have to delete the game. ✓ So much potentialThis game would be good if you could actually play it for more than 5 seconds. Literally. You only get so much energy and clearing one obstruction in your path zaps most or all of it immediately. It makes it so you can’t get into the game long enough without paying a ton of money so you ultimately lose interest. If they can fix that, the game would be good..Version: 2.27.4

✓ Expensive To Complete Challenges and WorldsI love the graphics and game but hate the cost to continue. In order to explore the different worlds on the map, you easily blow through all your energy without completing anything. For example, because of my level I have a level of 77 for my energy. I’m currently in “Emerald Garden” with a challenge of exploring. To cut down a tree, I lose 58 of my energy and after that am stuck. You can’t buy energy with coins, also when you’re required to build a shop, it costs thousands of coins and multiple levels of combined resources or items you create with resources. My favorite place in this game is the Witch Shop and wish it was a permanent location in the game since it is Ruby’s elderly relative that she’s helping..Version: 2.30.2
✓ Change your advertisementsI’ve been seeing ads for Magicabin everywhere, which is fine, that’s how games get found. What isn’t fine is the content of some of your ads. Most of them are harmless, but I just witnessed one where the main character had a sugar daddy, got pregnant, and was kicked so hard in the stomach she had a miscarriage? This game on the App Store says it’s for people age 4+. That kind of ad is not acceptable in any way for children and to someone like me (ALONG WITH 1/4 PREGNANT WOMEN) who has suffered multiple miscarriages, it can be extremely hard to watch that (especially during an ad you can’t skip). Who in their right mind would make an ad like that and think it’s even slightly remotely okay? I know it’s not much compared to how many people download this game.. but I will not be downloading it nor will I be recommending it..Version: 2.27.2
✓ Fun GameThe game is fun. However when I’ve been saving up energy or buying energy and I complete missions I’m waiting on certain items to finish up from the workshop and they go missing. ✓ BoringIf I could just play, that would be nice. But you are constantly forced to watch story line and click where it tells you. There is zero challenge or effort needed. A 2 year old could play it. ✓ If you like playing less than a minuteEvery few hours and making NO progress past the third day, this is the game for you! Litterly remove 2 bushes and a rock, take 2 steps and remove 2 rocks and a bush and that’s 3 hours of energy, litterly. I bough a doller starter package yesterday and it lasted less than 2 minutes. This isn’t the game for me. I liked the look of it but I expect more digital entertainment for my dollars. It would take thousands of dollars or years of life to get anything they show in the ad. ✓ Misleading adsThe ads for the game are entirely misleading. No grandma mystery hiding, no puzzles, no cheating partner leaving you in the cold with the kids, and the ads are using characters from other games. There are in fact ads, they just aren’t “mandatory” however if you don’t watch them it takes an hour at a time to refill your energy bar if you don’t want to pay to do so. And clearing items with energy takes so many energy points that even if you buy energy it’s gone in three minutes, especially during big events. There’s a LOT of little side quests to do which is great for those with ADHD that need something that doesn’t get boring and repetitive. And there’s literally always a special event running. Overall the game is fun but not worth it, especially with such false advertising regarding gameplay and a lack of ads..Version: 2.31.0
✓ A Bittersweet FarewellRating this game is such a challenge because in essence it is a five star game: fun, creative, lighthearted. I have poured hours of time, money (much to my husband’s chagrin), and energy (in game and out) into designing my estate and decorating my house into the perfect little magic escape that I love with my entire gamer heart. Unfortunately, I just can’t invest any more into a game design company that so obviously doesn’t reciprocate my respect and appreciation. With every event it becomes clearer that they are significantly more interested in making money from their consumers than providing them with a rewarding gaming experience. Despite numerous reviews and criticisms that highlight the disparity between energy cost and energy provided, each event continues to increase the first and decrease the latter, making any progress or reward out of tangible reach without spending ridiculous amounts of money. For this reason I will be saying a fond yet bittersweet farewell to this game and advise anyone thinking of downloading it not to become too attached; it’s a dead end relationship that will end with you heartbroken and destitute. Instead I recommend similar games like Sarah’s Adventures, California Escapades, and Tuscany Adventure where the affection between game and game is mutual..Version: 2.30.2

✓ Fun, but so costly!This game is beautifully designed and the missions are fun. BUT, the amount of money one needs to advance is ridiculous. You get 50-ish units of energy each day, but you need 32 to eliminate one bush on your path. Plus another 12 for the little weed, 24 for the small stone, and 54 for the tiny stump. You haven’t even advanced and you are out of moves. There are a few opportunities to get “free” energy with video watching, but watching an ad for 15 units of energy, when that won’t even eliminate the pebble in your path? And getting one axe per dragon order? When the dragon is asking for things that take hours to fill. And then it’s gone for hours. In the current challenge, there are plenty of “free” energy, but it’s behind these statues that require 5 axes, 5 hammers, and 5 wands? When am I going to gather all that? The challenge lasts about 4 days. There isn’t enough time to get all the energy needed to get to the end. Tl;dr. Super cute and fun, but it will cost you a lot of money to move ahead..Version: 2.27.2

✓ Bad energy systemThe premise of this game is actually really fun but only be able to do 2 actions at a time per play session once you are through the tutorial makes this untenable for being a long term player. End of tutorial: level 5, 2 actions every 22 minutes. 44 energy regeneration rate 1 per 30 seconds. Leveling up basically grounds to a halt. Please make this game a little easier and not have everything need so much energy. Also maybe instead of gaining 1 measly energy every minute you could make it every 30 or even 15 seconds. ✓ Fun but geared toward people who have time on their handsIt has been a pleasant surprise. I downloaded this because I was bored and happened to come across it. That said, I think it’s pretty good and I feel the pace of racking up energy isn’t bad (especially if you’re using this to fill time between tasks during the day) but I’m also spending all that energy in the events not the actual gameplay piece. The gameplay piece I’m more creating things and selling them to the merchant or order board. The events like starry realm however, are just too short of a time frame especially if you work. I was able to complete the market one at the cost of about a day on the weekend. Starry realm I managed to log on a couple times and go till I ran out of energy (about an hour) which is all I have time for in a weekday for things like this. I was really disappointed when they notified me it was over because I didn’t feel like I had a good chance at it since it was only a couple days. Your resources get depleted and you have to buy the rock, tree or plant with the money you earn from selling goods and it takes way too much time for that purchased resource to grow in order to harvest it. Resources that were available in other areas get locked after you complete the area. You can only get flooring & wallpaper from the fun house, but I keep receiving the same items over & over instead. ✓ None of the ads work no energyThis game could be fun, but you get almost no energy unless you watch ads. But there’s no way to turn the ads on. They told me to delete and reload the game but that didn’t work then they said oh we’re working on it like three weeks ago or a month ago, but they still didn’t fix it. ✓ DO NOT PLAYThis game is impossible to play. The first 5 levels are good and you think finally a game which gives you energy regularly so you can play and enjoy. BUT once you hit level 5 you only get 44 energy every time it regenerates and to get rid of one bush is 42 energy so you can only ever do 1 at a time, and if you have 3 bushes blocking your way that’s 3 times you have to wait for your energy to regenerate just to get through those then to be blocked with 3 more bushes..Version: 2.30.2
✓ Too expensiveAs soon as you begin to progress the amount of energy you need to do anything is too high to make it fun. Plus too many of the resources require the same material (maple syrup) so you’re just endlessly making that as you try and build your factories and make other resources. Challenges can’t come close to completing without buying energy packs. It’s just an endless money grab and I’m sorry I fell into the trap of wasting money on it..Version: 2.29.0

✓ This is a fun gameI do enjoy this game however they make it really hard to complete quests. I currently have at least 10 quests I’m trying to complete. The reason is the further you get in the game the more time it takes to make or buy your required items to move forward in the game. ✓ I like itThe only downside to this game is, it takes sooooo much energy to clear a path. It’s similar to island hopper but island hopper doesn’t make you use up all your energy just to open a path. ✓ Fun but too expensiveReally fun game with a great concept that kept me playing for hours at first. Then the energy requirements became ridiculous so that only one or two objects could be removed with full energy with boosts. I even payed to extend my play but there are now 3 or 4 objects to remove to advance a minuscule amount. I may try and limp it along some more but wish the developers would quit ruining games with tactics like this. I will pay some to extend my play with reasonable costs but when it’s over 100 energy just to open a tiny section, it would cost too much to continue playing. I would have played this for a long time if the money/energy grab wasn’t so pronounced. ✓ Paid but not given rewardsI paid for the gold stamp today ($6.99 sale) and tried to claim the rewards but nothing actually came through even this it said it was claimed. After checking the inventory, I decided to get out of the game and log back in and then the game started to freeze so I restarted the game again and even restarted my phone. But when it came back on I pulled it back up and it said I needed to pay for the gold stamp! so, confused, I checked my bank account and the money had already been taken out of my account (pending) so I did indeed pay for it but I’m not getting my gold stamp items! I’m not sure what to do and the game says that I’d have to show proof of payment (the game should have that information ) and I didn’t realize I couldn’t trust the game and had to screenshot when I pay for something. I just want to know how to get my Gold stamp items that I paid for..Version: 2.26.1
✓ INAPPROPRIATE ADSDisclaimer - I haven’t played this game nor do I intend to Please review your ads because I have seen many inappropriate ones that I felt I had no choice but to leave this 1 star review as there was no option to report it via the developer’s website. Even as an adult I find them repulsive and triggering specifically the ones that show: - Pregnant woman gets pushed off a cliff and gives birth as she passes away (quite graphic) - Woman and dragon are hanging from a tree and the woman cuts the rope holding the dragon letting it fall to its presumed death and then falls as well - Multiple instances of violence against women I felt disgusted so I can’t imagine how kids would feel seeing these kinds of ads. ✓ Hate how expensive it is to play!I would rate this game much higher because I really love it. But it takes so much energy to play. You remove 2 items and your energy is gone. You will never get a quest done if you don’t buy the energy! Even when you buy several thousand energy you blow it like it is nothing! This is really frustrating because you can’t enjoy the quests. You can’t explore and enjoy the wonderful details that the game designers/developers have programmed into the each quest. The ratio of base line energy level to output is very proportionally off set to the games detriment!
