✓ It’s alrightI’m going to be honest it’s not worth $10. Some maps won’t lose and controls are so hard to use. Perhaps a tutorial would fix that. And whenever you fall off a wave u have to wait like 10 seconds to see your results. Makes it hard to stay engaged. Me as a beginner I fall off a lot and don’t get much time playing more siting for the game to load. The game has great potential although just isn’t that good yet. Could pick what ever wave you wanted to ride around the globe and didn’t spend half your time waiting for the game to reload. It was also FREE. Definitely not worth the 10dollars. ✓ It needs workI love the concept and the sort-of realistic-ish graphics but it feels so underdeveloped. The controls to surf is by directional arrows and makes for a very unresponsive feeling. ✓ Crashes constantlyI gave the game a chance and really tried to like it. But it constantly crashes. It’s fine for a few waves and then the game just crashes. ✓ Is it worth paying?My short answer: no. longer answer: the older version of this game used to amazing. i absolutely loved playing for the barrel views. that was so awesome. i just redownloaded this app now, and payed 5.99 just to give it a shot. after just a few mins i know i want a refund and won’t open the app again. the physics simply aren’t good, the pov is alright, but the whole playability of the game isn’t fluent. it’s not smooth. it takes unnecessary time after each wave to load your score and such, and you have to slowly switch to a better pov to have the view you want. i hope my paying for this app doesn’t go to waste. i hope the money can go towards some better development. is it really so hard to get an app with beautiful wave physics? go check out robbie crawford’s animated work, he’d be a great person to hire for surf / wave app development. a refund would be awesome, because genuinely after just 3 mins i can for sure say i won’t use this app again unless there’s big changes. please rate this review if you see it, it might help the app developers see it. us ocean enthusiasts, those of us who love and appreciate the natural beauty of a simple clean barrel and nice lighting, would so so so much appreciate getting to have an app where that’s accessible and enjoyable..NcjdhdhVersion: 0.2.0

✓ So much potentialWithout drawing any comparisons with the only other decent surfing game out there, this is disappointing at best! The sign up process was a long drawn out affair, the UI is buggy, it crashes when loading waves, takes forever to reload after one wave. I’m not deleting as I hope the developers will listen. ✓ Don’t buyFrom some one who used to play the og computer game and the og version of the journey don’t buy it. The keys are extremely sticky and aren’t sensitive enough.
