One of the first couple levels, there is a young couple with baby pictures on the walls. The two of them are trying for a baby. It’s options are: 1) Don’t give them a baby 2) Give them a baby. The second one is wrong, but only because when you click on the guy he says “I hate babies.” That’s just one egregious example I saw there. I just downloaded this app for a good time, not to have this shallow opinion of the world shoved at my throat. ✓ DisgustingThis game is disgusting and full of racism and misogyny. I immediately deleted the app after seeing how they portrayed a black man. They literally designed him to look like a Minstrel character. Every white character had a small line for lips, but the black man had over exaggerated giant lips. I’m not sure how anyone could justify such clear racism in an app. The women are always portrayed as straight, baby crazy, and/or cheaters. Got to level four where I could no longer progress because it would just open ad after ad. Edit after developers response: I know most free games have ads, but most free games are enjoyable despite the ads and they don’t actively force their own apps to close. What I don’t understand is why you would program your own app to force close itself and force open another app (search engine) to show those ads. You’ve made your app literally unplayable in your pursuit to make people to give you money through your ad free option. ✓ OddThe gameplay is alright and the idea is good, but I’ve noticed a few racist depictions of black people, East Asian people, and Native American folk. It also has a lot of misogynistic jokes/levels that hinge on stereotypes for substance, as well as portraying men as lazy and unfaithful (but the women always react hysterically when they find out). Also, the angel girl who is supposed to be some sort of guide in this game has quite a few problematic lines. Basically, the entire game is based off of boomer humor and outdated views, and as a member of the younger generation, I find it to be pretty problematic that a free game like this subtly props up views that are better if just not shared to the masses. Oh, also, don’t get this app if you are sensitive towards depictions of child abuse/references to domestic abuse, or murder/general depictions of blood and death, since, despite the cute art style, this game contains a lot of that. Btw, I played until the 205th level before deciding that yeah, this isn’t okay..Version: 1.0.3
✓ Like it but don’t love it…In the beginning I loved this game! It was fun, easy, and addicting. In just 2 days I got to level 100 but that’s not what I’m here to talk about, I’m here to talk about the repeating levels. After you reach level 100 it just starts giving you levels you have already done. At first I didn’t mind it, but then it really got on my nerves. It would be great if the developers could fix this. They portray “natives” as basically white people with feathers on their heads and constantly having their weapons drawn at cowboys. Asian people are made fun of for the shape of their eyes, that’s even the point of one specific level. Among other things, women aren’t exactly portrayed in the kindest way. Often they are seen as baby factories or worthless cheaters. ✓ A Bit BrokenLevel 63 is straight up broken and many of the levels have this issue where the second line of text just isn’t there. That makes it super difficult to figure out what the puzzle wants because the missing line is often the most important one. There’s no customer support in game and when you tap app support on the App Store it just takes you the the website for the makers of the game, which also doesn’t have a customer support option. ✓ What the heck is up with this game?!?!One of the first levels it has you justify a pregnancy, you take a magnifying to her stomach and it shows a baby with a knife!!! What the fudge?!?! You can’t move on unless you say it’s not justified. Like two more levels after you need to help a young girl calm her baby down so she isn’t fired…. You shake your phone, the baby goes to sleep, and the girl says “I knew I shouldn’t have had a baby!” Like what the fudge?!?! Horrible game and that was after four levels!!.Version: 1.0.1
✓ Rip OffI paid to not have ads & there are still a ton. Plus a lot of the puzzles have no solution. It’s easy enough to figure out what needs to be done but there’s a flaw in the program preventing you from performing the action. If you try to skip the puzzle you have to use a hint to tell you what you already know & then another to actually skip the puzzle. ✓ Not very challengingThe puzzles aren’t tricky at all. The levels that do have the potential to be trickier are always super obvious. For example one level had the woman needing a new skirt and the entire level was a flat picture minus the solution (which was a flag to make her a skirt). ✓ InappropriateI downloaded this game on a whim after getting an add for it. I like puzzle-solving games and was hoping this would scratch that itch. The game rating is 12+ so most of the puzzles were pretty easy for me. But then I reached puzzle 37. This puzzle’s premise is two couples fighting over who gets the last airplane ticket. Both claim to need it to visit a sick family member. But upon x-raying the bags, you find one full of kid’s toys and the other full of toys of the…adult variety. They are not censored at all and for some reason they felt the need to include many different types.
