Runna: Running Training Plans for Positive User Reviews

AmazingGreat app. Really helps with a good training planing and coaching on watch during run is wonderful. Great for people who enjoy running solo..Version: 4.2.40

So easy to use!I initially chose to use Runna because of its aesthetic - it looks nice and seemed simple. I’m so glad I did because I’m absolutely loving the program. I’m 5 weeks in and have seen huge improvements. Thanks Runna xx.Version: 3.3.37

Returning to running? You need this app!I’ve run everything up to half marathons previously but stopped running after a tick bite and associated joint swelling. I’ve tried several times to get myself back with Couch25km apps and they’ve been repetitive, jump too much between weeks and all round glitchy and dreadful. I decided to pay for just one month of Runna and well…despite the groans of my bank balance, I’m sticking around! Not only am I building back my running I’m holding paces I haven’t seen in a few years! I don’t use the strength as I have Apple Fitness and prefer the class format of that but the run plan is tailored, the app pairs excellently with my Apple Watch and I’m loving it. Halfway through a “beginner” to 5km plan and loving running again. If you’re struggling to return to running this is absolutely the app you need 😀.Version: 4.2.22

WowI’m a week into using Runna and I’m blown away. Wish I knew about it sooner! Links to my Apple Watch and Strava flawlessly. Thought this app would be at most a suggestion of what workouts to do but also has great watch interface when I run with audio pace prompts etc. Epic!!!.Version: 3.5.3

Fantastic for getting ready for races!I had no idea what volume to do, I was way overdoing it. The programming is awesome and helpful all throughout. Getting ready for my first 50k..Version: 3.5.3

My pocket motivation to just keep goingNot just a really user friendly app for beginners to seasoned veterans of running, but the plans are varied to include more than just race distances. I’ve completed a number of plans now and am currently using the running maintenance plan which is really challenging and tough. It’s incredible. I never thought I’d be able to run longer than a 5km and had never, prior to this app, tan a full 10km without stopping. Currently running regular 10/12kms and last week completed a 14km at a very respectable pace. Their customer service via the support function is second to none (shout out to Lottie who always seems to answer my stupid questions!) The articles and advice are also great and they feel like your personal running coaches from your pocket. I have never liked running. Thanks to this app….I love it. I look forward to every upcoming challenge and trying new things. Cannot recommend highly enough..Version: 5.4.1

Best running app out there!Best value for full marathon hands down. Highly recommended..Version: 4.2.40

Love this app! This app is my favourite running app. It keeps me motivated to run every week. You can tailor your workouts to your goals and I love the way each week builds on your progress from the week before and challenges you to improve. I’m noticing a big improvement in my fitness and stamina..Version: 4.2.18

Exactly what I’ve been looking forI’ve never reviewed an app before but breaking that duck for this. Simply put this is exactly what I needed to get me back into an exercise regime. I only got it for the running programmes but the strength and conditioning as well?! I now have an easy to follow weekly exercise programme that is similar to something I used to pay A LOT of money for with a PT - all for free. The runs link with my Apple Watch, with voice guidance and a small haptic vibration to count down the start/end of laps. The runs are explained in the context of the programme so I always know why I’m doing what I’m doing. The s&c section is incredible! I input the gear I have at home, and the app designs sessions around that equipment. It has small animated graphics for each movement or if needed there are text instructions along with embedded video demonstrations from the Runna coaches. The sets and reps are easy to follow and tap through to mark progress, with rest timers built in. This is what I’ve been looking for in a fitness app ever since I’ve had a smart phone and I’m very glad I’ve found it! Looking forward to making progress in my fitness with the help of Runna!.Version: 4.2.40

Amazing appI never leave reviews or pay for apps but I’ll happily do both for this app! I’m training for my 2nd marathon with runna and I’m achieving PB’s I never thought I could. I’m on target to knock half an hour off my previous marathon time and have never felt better about my fitness. Plans set up and tailored to you perfectly and pings straight over to my garmin so I don’t even have to take my phone on my run! Can’t rate this app more highly, I recommend this app to all my runner friends! 😍 thanks runna x.Version: 5.8.0

Great app but some suggestionsGenuinely probably one the best looking and operating apps for fitness I’ve tried. I haven’t proceeded to purchase because there are a few fundamental things I think are missing or need to be improved which would put me off using this app. These are: on the strength feature there is no where to record your sets, reps and weights, this is such a missing feature. The strength training section does not connect to your watch like the running section does. There is also no way to swap exercises, as someone with knee issues, this is a problem for me. The running section is amazing. I love the way it syncs with your watch and you can track the pace live. The only feature I feel is missing is the ability to set things you do regularly, i.e park run 5k tempo every Saturday. I’d love to see how this app develops in the future and I might sign up to the paid version..Version: 4.2.24

Game changerI’ve been an avid runner for years, with some big events coming up this year I was keen to find a running program which had variety and kept me accountable. Runna has been a game changer for me. Syncing to my Garmin I never have to remember my plan for the run, each run is interesting and I’m doing times I never thought I’d do again. Highly recommend.Version: 3.4.2

Great appWell explained plans that go directly to my Garmin watch..Version: 4.0.0

Would struggle to train without RunnaI’m currently 8 months post partum and just finishing my 12th week using the app. Before using it I just ran when I could and it was very sporadic and often never happened. The best thing about Runna is it gives me accountability and structure in my week to get 3 runs in. I love the Pilates and mobility sessions which I somehow manage to do with a toddler and baby in tow. I can plan when I can get out and rearrange my week to make sure it happens. I haven’t missed a run yet! It’s really helped me get fit again without over training, it’s helped prioritise some “me” time which is so important as a mother and it also seamlessly links with my Garmin so no faffing, I just leave and start the session straight away. I honestly love it so much!.Version: 5.10.1

Pretty good but missing some featuresI really love the app over all, especially that it has the option of adding strength training workouts. My main complaints are that the app doesn’t realise when you’ve stopped at a light so it keeps telling me to speed up (at some point it said my pace was 440 minutes per kilometre 😅). It’s nice to know when you are a bit too fast/slow but every 30 seconds or so, it becomes very grating over a long run. Maybe some runners find this very helpful though - not sure if there’s a way to turn it off. Also the strength workouts are very long even when it says it will take 45 minutes and they are very intense but enjoyable..Version: 3.4.8

Great organized running planner appI love the organization and how the app connects to Strava and Garmin. It feels more personalized once you enter what even you’re training for. For the longer runs or paced runs - the app tells you if you’re hitting the target pace while you’re running so it tells you to go slower or to go faster. I thought this was a pretty cool feature that felt like some personal training to hit your personal goals..Version: 4.2.40

So helpfulHelps me stay on track and accountable with training.Version: 3.4.14

Absolutely brilliant - best fitness app I’ve come across!Runna is so easy to use and the variety of training sessions is just excellent. I know exactly what I have coming up and feel like every one is high quality and productive. Running sessions are easy to follow and I love that they link up to my garmin so I don’t have to try and figure out timings and such. I can’t afford a running coach so have always relied on internet training plans and tried to kind of make it up as I go along - to varying degrees of success! With Runna, the thinking is taken out of it (as is the anxiety!) and I can feel myself getting not just fitter but more confident in my running too. The coaches are knowledgeable and experienced and have made an absolutely brilliant app. Thanks, team Runna!.Version: 4.2.43

Best Running App to DateI came back into running after an almost 5 year hiatus. However, I’d been extremely active in other ways. I began Runna with the get back to running plan, and it. Was. Perfect. Challenging but not over the top. I’d tried a few other very BIG name apps, that did more time based running, and every time I burnt out. I’m now in my second Runna program and cannot say enough amazing things about this app. It syncs with my watch and helps me stay on pace (I struggle to slow down) and has helped me completely fall in love with running again. Very excited to train for a half marathon in April!.Version: 4.2.12

Detailed & easy to understand.I like that this app has more details than a lot of other apps & plans out there. The run plans actually give you specific times/paces to hit unlike other apps that base your running off “effort” or “zones”. As someone who is new to run training I’m not familiar with zones or even my own effort sometimes. (Like running at a 70% effort isn’t as clear to me as running at a 12:30 pace). I also really like that they give you the strength workouts. Other run plans I have tried to use just said “cross train” so I was doing general strength workouts instead of strength training to specifically help improve my running. 10/10 recommend, & you can’t beat the price..Version: 3.5.3

GAINSOver the course of a over a year, my vo2 max was on a constant decline. I wasn’t sure if it was unseen health issues, hormone imbalances, or just simply if my running performance was getting worse for no reason. The marathon plan I signed onto in this app has obliterated that problem. My vo2 max jumped up a point in under three weeks. The plan in this app also pushes me like I’ve never been pushed before. It also feels personal because the instructions given before each run mentions my name, and I like that touch. Great app all around. I can’t recommend this enough!.Version: 4.2.16

Safe FeelingI decided to run my first half marathon pretty much out of the blue autumn last year and I struggled to keep consistent and to stay on track. Through some offer I joined on a week free and just seeing the plan ahead already gave me a positive feeling. Since then it’s been a joy to use the app and I’ve actually way exceeded my target time. The automated advice along the way in plan is super helpful but what really stood out was the outstanding support they offer. Right within the app there is a messaging service to the customer service and I have seen them go above and beyond on multiple occasions. If you wanna build some muscle along your running journey, the app caters perfectly to that. There are only two minor annoyances I’ve found; 1) the length of some plans are restricted, meaning I had to wait two weeks until I could start on my plan. 2) I regularly find myself still going on Strava and other apps for routes, would be so cool to have a little feature that suggests routes based on the length and incline (for hilly runs) of the next session. But overall a more than deserved 5 stars!.Version: 4.2.42

Stop using Strava!By using Runna I get so much more than Strava offers for runners. Overall pace with current pace with lap pace all on my watch (with a nifty little gauge visual), live coach in my ear telling me when to speed up or slow down, AND the coveted cadence. Plus, you can still import the run to Strava and get your kudos (I know you want them). On top of the actual in run features, the coaching has made me a better runner and so much faster. I’m currently working my way through a 12 week half marathon training and I have no doubt I’m going have a new half marathon PR. Thanks Runna!!.Version: 4.0.8

The best user experienceI’m a product designer, so the user experience for me is very important. There are things on this app that just make sense, like when sharing your runs it gives you options, your run plan is clearly displayed and it gives you the perfect amount of verbal cues when running. It’s easy and delightful to use, and it’s so well organized. Well done..Version: 5.0.0

LOVE!I have been running now for about 3 years. I was using another workout program and planned my own runs. Find Runna has really changed my running experience for me and allowed me to really focus on my running goals. This app have worked wonders for me! I am starting my last week of my first 8 week training plan and look forward to continue to use these training plans and reaching my goals!.Version: 3.3.10

Love the plans, accountability and the paving in my ears too!Currently using the app to work towards my trail marathon and I’m using the ‘hilly’ marathon training plan. Love the accountability, flexibility and the way you can plan the weeks and combine the plans with in-house focused strength training too. I’ve had to contact the team only once so far and when I did they got back to me within hours and easily helped me figure out my small error. Looking forward to completing my plan and using it for others in the future too..Version: 4.2.20

Amazing appI was never a runner I’d always dread going out for a run. I’d always go out and run a 5K or “see how far I could go” and always ended up injured or not progressing. So I always assumed that I couldn’t run. Since downloading Runna I’ve ran 3 times a week and have enjoyed every single run. I’m on my final 8 week plan next week. The session plans are fun and they’re progressive so that they’re hard but not too challenging. I know that I can complete the runs, because I trust in the pace progressions that are set! All round great app!.Version: 3.5.3

Pushes me to farther than I thought I couldTitle.Version: 3.5.3

Really Enjoying this AppHave been training with Runna for the past 8 weeks and I love the way they create a manageable plan. Have trained for a half marathon happening in the next week and have managed to get here uninjured which is new for me and I credit Runna with that. I hope they eventually add support for Stryd power for those of us that do a significant amount of our training on treadmillls. Try the trial. Great interface and worth a shot..Version: 5.3.0

Love it!I love this app. I love how it pushes me out of my comfort zone. I’m really getting a lot out of this app and I highly recommend it. I do wish the speeds were more accurate on a treadmill. It seems it has a hard time determining my speed. It could just be the Garmin watch not properly determining my speed but it’s constantly trying to figure out just how fast or slow I’m running. But I absolutely love how the workouts can be downloaded to the Garmin. The runs are very accurate out on the road but not so much on the treadmill. Thanks for such a great app! It will really get you to where you wanna be in your running journey..Version: 3.3.15

AMAZINGThis has taken the guesswork out of my running and it’s so much fun! I’m three weeks into my plan and faster already..Version: 4.2.39

HookedI swear by this app. I’m not a runner- more than that, I thought I hated running. Could barely do a 5k without wanting to be sick and getting shin splints. I’m only 6 weeks into a light training programme and I’m comfortably running 8k in prep for my first 10k. I’m faster, more confident and I actually look forward to my runs. I’ve had no injuries which means more regular runs and actually staying on track. Once I’ve done my 10k programme, I’m going to move into a half marathon programme which is something I always wanted to do and something I now feel is achievable..Version: 3.4.2

FantasticI haven’t run since before covid, whole era ago! When I was running, I was dealing with a slew of health issues that I’m only beginning to understand how to manage now. Thanks to Runna, its training plan and coaches, I just hit a 10K PR yesterday. Something I didn’t think or imagine I could accomplish! Runna does a great job of adding in strength training to running plans. Even if you are a seasoned weight training vet (me), Runna adds in movements that excel past that but also add in strength moves for anyone that either dislikes or isn’t comfortable with strength training (also me haha). Runna does a great job of juggling developing running skills based on where you are to where you want to be at a pace that is doable. They also add in tips, tricks, and access to real people that answer your questions. By far and wide, best app and plan available for anyone who wants to move more, attain personal records, and become empowered when you see just how much you can accomplish when you dedicate yourself to you. Thanks Runna! 🥹.Version: 4.2.8

Incredible running plan!I never review apps but this deserves 5 stars. Excellent running plan tailored to my needs. I went from running a slow 5km to being able to run a half marathon in 12 weeks. I can rearrange my days when I need to. Great tips within the app tailored around my week which I find really helpful around when and how to take gels, tapering, and recovery. If I could ask for one feature it would be to be able to set my own run with pace goals within the app and to be able to break down the kms to pace that I want to run. When I did the 18km long run it was split into 4km at a certain pace and the next 4km at the next pace. It made it mentally easier for me to tackle rather than 21km at one pace..Version: 4.2.3

First Time RunnaExtremely helpful app if you’re a beginner, it is user friendly and has lots of things available for use for free. Highly beneficial for establishing a routine to start running, and works great with Apple Watch. Halfway through my 5km run plan! I’m enjoying it! Would recommend..Version: 5.10.1

Amazing app!I’d seen Runna on social media and decided to download to see what it was all about. After running regularly with no real structure I was hooked on Runna after the first week, it really keeps running interesting and I haven’t skipped a session yet - 7 weeks in! It makes me really look forward to my runs and motivates me to go out running after work as I know the plan is going to tell me all I need to know! The app is great and I’m so impressed and have been recommending to everyone! I never leave reviews but thought Runna deserved the 5 start recognition ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 4.2.16

The best app to improve your running 🏃🏼‍♀️I’ve been running for about 5 years and Runna has been the catalyst in my improvement. I’m currently training for a November marathon and never has a weekend long run been easier. Countless training runs and smaller races have demonstrated a constant improvement and I feel healthier every day. The carefully designed plans ensure that strength is balanced with ‘de-load’ weeks to prevent injury and your body becoming overtired. In addition, as a teacher, private coaches and gym memberships aren’t very accessible due to spiralling costs however the app’s monthly fee is much better value. I would go as far as saying that Runna provides even better training (plans are designed exactly to your needs and experience as a runner). If you want to start, improve or keep your running ticking over, there’s no better app available. Very excited to hopefully achieve a marathon PB in November and get ready for London in April! Thank you for all you do Runna! 🙏.Version: 4.2.36

Superb running appI honestly think this is the best app of any sort I’ve ever used on an iPhone. It is so polished and it seems there is almost nothing the developers haven’t thought about. I’m using the app for a 10km plan and then a half marathon later in the year. I’ve been running regularly for a few years but never have properly “trained” for runs or thought much about my technique, etc. Now having used Runna for a week I can already see a noticeable improvement in my running form and how I feel. The app gives clear guidance on all the runs and workouts, syncs seamlessly with my Garmin watch and most importantly has motivated me to make a proper effort to achieve a new PB! The training tips and videos are excellent and not too long so you can quickly recap before a run. Support is also excellent, I asked a question late on a Friday night and received a response early the next morning. Just simply a brilliant app, well worth the yearly subscription price. Have recommended it several times already in the last week!.Version: 3.4.15

What price is your health?I’m a cheapskate, 47 years old and have never spent over $2.99 for a phone app. But my health is more important than accumulating wealth. These days I spend more on health than ‘stuff’ as I should’ve all along! The app is easy to use, full of info and while I’m running a voice on my watch is telling me what to do, so I can completely just switch off making decisions about what I’m doing and just run. I love Runna.Version: 4.2.20

Fantastic.Have been using the app consistently for 7 weeks now. And improving at a sustainable rate. It’s taking me from beginner to 5km at the moment and it’s just the right level of ‘push’ each time to keep me coming back without frightening me off. Well done. I can’t believe how quickly I’ve improved, but more surprising is how motivated to keep doing it I am. The sessions aren’t easy, but they are achievable. And they end just at the point where you think you’re finished. Really, really very good..Version: 5.5.0

Fantastic training plans, brilliant appCan’t quite believe how much my running has improved since getting this app. I started running in March this year on the couch to 5k app, loved it brilliant intro to running, but I still had not completed a 5km run throughout the program. After finishing couch to 5k, I tried to go out running by myself, but didn’t pace myself, had no structure and it didn’t feel great. That’s when I found Runna, I’m only about 10 runs in, but since mid July when I got the app, I can now not only run 5K, I can tackle up to 10km! Something I never thought I would do. I would recommend this app to anyone who is needs a bit more guidance or structure especially those just finishing couch to 5k or those who are ready to train for their first marathons.. or somewhere in between! Pretty much if you like running, you’ll like this app! Best used with a smart watch!!.Version: 4.2.1

Fantastic appI’ve been using this app since the beginning of 2023. I’ve managed to set PBs (from 2017!!!)in all distances from 1km-half marathon (haven’t run a marathon this year) since using it after plateauing the past few years. It has lots of variety of sessions and included strength programs suited for runners. I have recommended this app to many of my friends who have had great results. Even my husband who was skeptical finished Sydney marathon with a 26min PB!!! Definitely recommend!.Version: 4.2.8

Fantastic!Makes planning and achieving goals easier. Makes me feel more prepared for runs and races. Update: I’ve completed one full plan and am halfway through my second plan. This app is simply wonderful. I’m able to plan out my runs and adjust as needed based on my schedule. I have reached out with questions and concerns and have received a response very quickly for both help with the app and my running. Can’t recommend this highly enough!.Version: 4.2.5

Total game changer for running fitness 👏I was apprehensive about the price and what I’d get out of it - my expectations were totally exceeded. Love the programs and how tailored they are. Syncing with my Garmin is occasionally glitchy but otherwise awesome. Huge fan of Runna!.Version: 4.2.36

ExcellentI lost my mojo for quite some time and saw this app while watching the Running Channel. Gave it a go as there was a free trial and I have been really impressed. I have been a ‘runner’ for 20 years at this point and the plan I am on makes sense and has variety to keep my interested. I am on week 5 and haven’t missed a session, which I don’t think I’ve ever done before. As things were going well I’ve been able to change my target and the training runs changed accordingly to more challenging but achievable targets. As an aside I had a problem where one of my runs didn’t sync with Garmin Connect. It was only a 1 off but when I reported it through the app to the support team they found the run and uploaded it for me in 24 hours. So on the rare occasion something didn’t work it was fixed. They also seemed really open to some feedback I provided. Very impressed. I understand not everyone will want to pay for a this kind of service but for me, an amateur runner who wants to improve, absolutely worth the investment..Version: 4.2.4

Brilliant!I got a 2 week free subscription for premium and I will never go back. I have an Apple Watch and used to track my runs on that but instead I wanted to be able to have someone organise my runs, pace, and week personally for me and that is exactly what Runna does. I can’t tell you how convenient it has been for me and helped me get to my goal in a healthy way..Version: 3.5.1

Phenomenal app!I love every aspect of Runna for running training! It provides all the details I could ask for and then some! The only thing I wish they, and every other running program, would implement better is the strength training. Longer workout sessions shouldn't be the only thing that separates the strength levels. Also, some better strategies for the strength training. It seems a bit all over the place..Version: 3.4.14

Great running trainerI’m over halfway through a 16 week marathon training plan with Runna and loving it. Very customisable, variety of runs, syncs to Garmin and Strava, and also includes strength training, so I use it 6 days a week. Recently got a PB in a half marathon and now looking forward to my first marathon. Highly recommended..Version: 3.4.18

Thank you :)Awesome app! Got me to run and exercise regularly for the first time really. I love seeing the breakdown of my runs and the little cartoon demonstrating the exercises!.Version: 3.5.3

Best training plans!Simply the best training plan app for any distance!.Version: 5.1.0

BrilliantThe Runna app’s structured plans are really easy to follow but push you so you’re constantly improving. The incorporated strength training is great too. Highly recommend for runners of all levels, whether you’re training for a race or just want to improve your fitness in general..Version: 4.2.14

Love it!Having followed online training plans, unstructured running schedules and also having had a coach, I am loving this app because it provides great accountability through structured, tailored plans which are challenging but not overwhelming. In just four weeks I feel so much happier and more confident in my running than I have in a long time (been running 5+ years) and feeling like my fitness is coming on leaps and bounds! Currently on a 5K improvers plan, hoping to use Runna for marathon training for a spring marathon in the new year. ..Version: 3.3.8

Great appIf your training for an event or simply just wanting to improve your running as a whole, this app individually personalises your own plan based on your current 5km pace to help you improve your running. Its sets your realistic targets and tailors to your lifestyle, it’s helped me actually stick to a plan and not want to give up, I now look forward to running 3 days a week and strength training in between to help prevent injuries. My current improvement plan is 5km, once I have completed this I will be training for a half marathon, so I’m looking forward to what it tailors me then..Version: 4.2.16

Exceptional running coaching appI have used Runna for one month and it has been fantastic. The main benefit for me is the strategy they give to reach a half marathon goal - I had not thought of things like building up base mileage. It helps knowing experts have thought out the plan. The app itself is excellent technology- you can change your pace and trajectory at any point, adjust the date of the race, there are helpful visuals and I like having a voice to advise when to speed up and slow down. Finally there are many other great teams on running style, diet and more which I've referenced. Exceptional..Version: 5.10.1

Great for training for a marathonBased on my current fitness level, the app generated a personalized training plan that includes targeted strength training designed to improve performance and minimize the potential for injuries. They recently added support for treadmills which is great as the weather turns cooler and some of my training runs will be indoors. My only wish is that they included options for heart rate-based training since I live in a hilly area and pace-based training doesn’t take hills and the amount of work my body is doing when climbing grades into consideration. I have heard that this feature in the works and I’m looking forward to it!.Version: 4.2.4

AMAZINGBest app to start running, or to keep up on your goals. Would recommand to everyone.Version: 4.2.4

Brilliant!I have been trying to run for some time now but I’ve always found it so so daunting. Using this app has taught me I have more strength in me than I thought. There is someone talking in your headphone e.g.”nearly there” and “you are half way” which really motivates you to know you are not just running with no clue how far. The pacer during longer runs is brilliant as it teaches you to slow down or speed up. Little did I know I was running too fast most the time, making me realise I can do 5k but I need to pace myself.Version: 3.4.12

Run my first 5kAbsolutely love this app, i’ve been telling everyone about it and getting my friends to join. i went from not being able to run 1k at a 6min pace. To completing my training block and running 5k at a 5.20 ave pace. The training built so much confidence! running slow to run fast and trusting the training gave me the best results.Version: 4.2.23

My absolute favourite app ever.If you want to improve your running and do not have the funds for a private coach tris app is for you. I lost a bit of my running mojo after marathon training. I used the return to running program first as I wanted to start over. The structure is great and I really enjoyed doing the different types of runs. I included the strength training program and felt this was hugely beneficial. The exercises are very well structured and really clearly explained. I took 3 minutes off my last best time for a 5k which I was really not expecting. Im now following the 10k plan. It has really helped me rediscover my love of running and see the importance of strength training which a lot of us neglect. I cannot recommend this highly enough. Download it now..Version: 3.5.3

Love it!Love using runna is really easy to use and doesn’t charge you for plans. One thing that would be cool for them to change is to add samsung galaxy watches into the fitness watches that can add data as i used to have a samsung and moved to iphone and don’t really want to get an apple watch.Version: 4.2.1

Everything you need in one spot! With my first marathon ahead of me I’ve been scouring the internet for helpful information but I couldn’t find everything I needed in one place - until I found Runna. The custom running plan is easy to follow/track and the tech integrations allow me to push the workouts to my Garmin + link through to Strava. The support articles are fantastic, covering everything from nutrition, recovery, technique and race day prep. The app is really user friendly - I highly recommend it to anyone looking to improve their running..Version: 3.3.35

I love this app!I’ve tried getting into running a few times over the last few years and have completed couch to 5k 3 times. However, I always struggled to keep going because I didn’t know what to do once the programme was over, and the info online confused me. Runna does all the thinking for me, and, so far, even when the runs in my plan have seemed really difficult I’ve always managed to do them. 10km doesn’t phase me anymore and I’m currently training for a half marathon. I can honestly say I would never ever have thought I could do the runs I’m doing without Runna!!.Version: 4.2.42

I’ve been looking for an app like you.I’ve always said that I don’t run unless I’m being chased…but here I am- running (mostly) without fear for my life. This app has changed my relationship with running, and (to be perfectly honest) my relationship with myself. I’ve carried on when I’ve wanted to stop. I’ve unlocked self discipline, found that I am capable, and I have improved. I’m proud me, and I’m in love with Runna..Version: 4.2.45

Amazing app!I use to run 7km 5x a week but could never do the entire run without stopping at intervals. I use to think I was just naturally not good at long distance and could only handle short periods of running. Since downloading this app I’ve learnt how to properly pace and can run the same distance without stopping in only a week, and at an even faster pace than ever before! I’m training for a 10k so I feel very optimistic that this app will help me achieve my goals, wish I downloaded it sooner, it’s amazing!.Version: 3.3.7

Incredible app, very high priceThis is the best running app I’ve ever used. I’m training for my first half marathon and this app has all of the exact functionality I was looking for. I’m still on the two week free trial and am still debating whether or not I’ll pay for the full version as it comes at a very very steep price. I wish there were at least some tiers of functionality that were less expensive.Version: 4.2.22

Training for first half marathonSo happy with the app and my progress.Version: 4.2.36

Couldn’t recommend this app anymore!I only recently started getting serious about my running this year, but with little knowledge about how to progress, as well as what type of strength training I should be doing to compliment it. With a background in powerlifting, I was sceptical on the approach of the strength training component but I remained open minded, gave it a go, and I’m so glad I did! I’ve seen major improvements in my running & enjoyment in it too since! Absolutely love it and can’t wait to continue to see my improvements!.Version: 4.2.10

Brilliant App which I’ve highly recommended.I’ve only started running in the past year. Before this app I wasn’t following any plan and every run felt the same. Runna has been a game changer. It’s pushing me just the right amount which at times is difficult but at the right paces for me. Having the audio feedback as I run is extremely helpful and also very motivating. Without it I don’t think I would have completed some of the sessions! The varied sessions also make running interesting, enjoyable and most of all it works! My 5k PB has dropped to 18:50 and I feel my running is improving in every aspect. The additional helps and guidance on nutrition and other aspects of training like strength and conditioning/mobility etc are also excellent. I will be continuing to use the app and recommending to friends who want to improve their running at whatever level. Thanks to the team and keep up the good work!.Version: 3.4.12

WowBest app for running ever.Version: 4.0.9

Fantastic for structured runningI used to do half marathons regularly and never really had a plan. I just did training runs with various random distance goals and that was okay, but I love the feeling of confidence I’m getting with runna that I am doing the work on speed or hills or distance simply by following the plans. Makes me excited for my runs because each one is different and the long ones have little segments within them to keep it interesting. After about 2 weeks I paid for a year membership because I knew this was going to stick!.Version: 5.6.0

Amazing Coaching App!It is the easiest and low stress app! Every plan is ready and don’t have to put any thought into planning your runs. The coach in your ear tells you on your pace but not constantly nagging you, more just to keep you updated. Cannot recommend enough!.Version: 5.5.0

It’s not boring!I’m a casual runner who isn’t looking to qualify for a major marathon or win prize money in races. But I need help knowing what to do and don’t know enough to plan my own workouts. I wanted a running coach but couldn’t afford the prices people were charging. I tried a few other apps and printing out programs I found on the internet, but I wanted MORE. I found it with Runna. I’m coming back to running after an injury that required surgery, followed by depression and weight gain. And I’m falling in love with running again. This app is just what I needed, and I’m so glad I gave it a try. It even combines strength workouts, too, which I’ve found are really helping. Thank you, Runna!.Version: 4.2.12

GreatLove the app. I was able to run a marathon, which I never though possible, using this app. It really helped me stay on track and stay motivated for my goal..Version: 4.2.18

Simply the bestThe Runna app is simple to use and is a great training resource. Without it I wouldn’t be where I am today with running! Great work to the Runna team..Version: 4.2.37

Run aOk ish running app but kind of hard to read make it simpler because I am 12 am like things to be simpler to read. Also more option for when you download the app because the first option was a 5 k and I have never done one so I didn’t know. - David.Version: 5.6.1

Great for beginnersAmazing app. Teaches you how to progress, in a comfortable safe pattern. Great for beginners!.Version: 3.5.3

RunnaI am a first time runner - starting at age 71! and I am now halfway (completed week 4) through the beginner runner section. I have tried other apps before, and running on my own but I always lost interest / became discouraged and/or injured myself. Not so with Runna! The workouts are just right - not too easy, not too difficult and my stamina is getting better each time. I have just run 4 x 6 mins, and I can’t believe how good I feel. When I first started 4 x 1 minute was almost more than I could manage. Highly recommended, and I’m looking forward to keeping on using it long into the future. Gordon P.Version: 4.2.1

Best app of all timeIm obsessed with this app. I’ve been searching for a running app that has a training plan that includes strength training. I just finished my first week & I feel like I’ve worked out better than I have even when I had a PT. Worth every cent!!!.Version: 3.3.37

Solid running workoutsThis has been a great solution for me as a busy Mum. I like being able to put my AirPods in and have the Runna lady guide me through these workouts. It’s been great to challenge myself, set goals, take this time for myself, and release some endorphins when the rest of life with a young baby can feel chaotic..Version: 4.2.12

Great appThis app really works for me, I am training for my first half marathon and the plan is a great combination of structure and flexibility. I think they have the balance right. The audio pace cues are really good to keep you focused on that the plan is. Also being able to include weight training and mobility as well feels like a very complete plan. My only suggestion is that free runs have the flexibility to follow the suggested structure or go completely free. Being new to longer distances I would like to follow the plan. But more experienced runners could run completely free. I use Strava and the app syncs well with Strava..Version: 5.6.1

LoveDoing couch to 5k, I love the gym but I absolutely hated running. But I wanted to challenge myself and Runna has truly been amazing for me..Version: 4.2.4

WorkoutsI have just downloaded this app to do small work out to help achieve a goal of my first half marathon I do rowing and keep active everyday this app has thoughts abt all the main things you would need to do work outs with. this app guides you very well and help tracks ur progresss you can also customise ur workouts.Version: 4.2.36

Absolutely loving the appFirst time training with an app. Come across about the runna app on the running channell videos, decided to give it a go. This is my week 7 out of 16 for London Marathon The plan set up based on your ability and availability how many times you can run, and what equipment and training you’re looking to fit in your week. Easy to navigate and change if you want to. I like the coach talking to you during your run, telling you your speed and next lap. Love the music link, latest addition of Apple Music. So far so good I feel my running is improving. I’d definitely recommend this app..Version: 4.2.43

Worth every pennyI’ve not felt compelled to review an app before, but I absolutely love this one! Workouts are personalised to you and your pace, and it makes sure you cover all aspects of training from different types of runs, strength training, mobility, diet, and more. I’m onto my 3rd plan with Runna - it got me through my first ever half marathon from absolute zero running, and I’m now working on improving my 5k time. Plans aren’t just focused on races, you can set yourself any number of mini-targets along the way. The customer support is brilliant too. The team answer any queries quickly, and in a personalised way. I had Covid before Christmas and the team helped me adjust my half marathon plan to reduce any impact on preparing for my race. This is the only app and plan that has actually got me to stay consistent with my running (and believe me, I’ve tried a lot, including paying for a running coach which was a lot more expensive than this!). Thank you to the whole Runna team!.Version: 5.3.0

Wonderful App when it works!I have overall enjoyed the app. I initially used it to train for a half-marathon. Along the way I ran into quite a few technical issues. Most commonly not recording the run and then glitching when recording my pace. I also ran into issues of trying to end a run. I reached out and the staff was very responsive and open about technical issues they were working on. I saw a lot of improvement after that. After completing my half-marathon I decided to keep the app as I wanted to maintain what I built up. Unfortunately I have started running into the same issues of the runs not being recorded. I ran a 10k race this weekend and nothing was recorded. It said it had started the run but nothing did end up recording. I am training for another half in April and on the fence about keeping. The program is great but not sure I want to pay the cost for a program I could find free somewhere. As a casual runner it isn’t as important to me to have something super structured and well thought out. I would recommend but caution about the issues!.Version: 4.2.19

Better than 1 to 1 coachingI joined Runna because I wanted to improve my running but didn’t want to pay for a 1 to 1 coach. I have been blown away with the app and how slick the interface is. I am just about to start my third marathon plan with Runna and I love the variety of sessions, it truly makes running enjoyable. A particular stand out for me is the smartwatch integration alongside the coaching comments from Ben and Steph, it gives me a specific focus for each week and session. The app keeps getting better and better, offering more services and improved sessions without the price increase. The team are always on hand to help with any questions, awesome customer service..Version: 3.0.3

THIS HAS REVOLUTIONISED MY RUNNING!I have been a runner for 13+ years and always used to create my own plans for half marathons and marathons but discovering RUNNA has made my life so much easier and I am sure going to take my running to the next level! I now feel accountable to do a strength session each week too which I never did before because I didn’t know what exercises to do but the app has helped me be really consistent with this! I would 110% recommend this App to any runner and any level - SO worth the money!.Version: 4.2.36

Love RunnaBest running training app I’ve found. It’s excellent value. It’s tailored to my current fitness and goals. The workouts are achievable but challenging enough to make gains. The within-run guidance is a huge selling point. I love that I don’t have to program workouts into my watch, they’re just set and I show up and do them..Version: 4.2.33

Fantastic - would highly recommend to anyone!Just finished my first marathon having used the Runna app for a 12 week training plan. I’d previously ran one or two half marathons and the plan really helped me to move to the next steps of my running ability. There was great variety in the training programme and lots of options to tailor the amount of days you can train around your lifestyle. I could tell week by week my ability improving and confidence growing. I’d previously not paid much attention to a structured plan, but anyone who’s aiming to enter a race or wants to improve their endurance/pace I would highly recommend the Runna app. The audio prompts are useful for pacing, especially if you don’t use a running watch. It also links up easily to Strava if you like to log your activity on there too. Will definitely consider using Runna again for my next goals and having caught the marathon bug, I’m sure that won’t be too long!.Version: 5.9.0

Good but could be even betterI probably should have given this app 4 stars. It’s a bit annoying hope the iPhone screen keeps going to sleep during the weight’s workouts. I do like the Apple Watch Runna app and how it links to Strava..Version: 3.4.18

Takes the planning out of planning training programs. Syncs workouts to smart watchThe plans are great and adjust according to your skill and ongoing performance. Good training tips. Great that it can also do gym workouts too based on what gear you have available. Includes warmups with great visual aides. The workouts when they are on my Garmin give you pace targets and distance targets and everything. So you really don't have to do anything. Also you can sync the workouts with your calendar so you can see what you've got coming up. Really great app. They are constantly improving it. Well worth paying for the programs..Version: 4.2.45

Best Apple Watch running appAmazing that this app allows you to download the running program to view natively from your Apple Watch instead of having to take your phone with you. Really clean interface & great feedback to let you know if you’re on track with split pace etc. during your run. Would love to be able to set cadence targets within workouts otherwise stellar app !.Version: 4.2.28

Taking the guesswork out of creating a running planGreat app, provides a variety of different workouts and makes it easy to track your targets.Version: 5.1.0

Love it!It’s great to help provide the structure of a coach without the price tag. The team are very responsive to messages! It definitely pushed me further than I thought I could go and provided much needed routine and structure. Highly recommend..Version: 4.2.4

Best i’ve used!Super easy to follow and pushes you at a steady pace that doesn’t feel overwhelming. and it’s free!.Version: 4.2.12

Cannot recommend highly enough!I am currently 8 weeks into my marathon plan and I can honestly say I have seen more improvement in my running and PB’s in the last 8 weeks than I have in all my previous years of running. The plans are adjustable and tailored to you and the premium support chat is amazing! Any questions or queries that I would normally spend hours reading through online forums just to be no closer to knowing the answer, I now ask the support team and get a professionals opinion to my exact queries quickly!.Version: 3.1.2

Awesome appRunna app is amazing fitness app that has the best and suitable plans for everyone fit or not and has videos to help you with exercise the rumba team know what they are doing and I’ve been so happy getting fitter with runna Absolutely amazing app thankyou so much.Version: 3.5.3

Fantastic for those new to runningI’m relatively new to running and this app is everything I was looking for. I’ve never run in high school or college so I never had a coach. I didn’t know what any of the terminology meant - tempo runs, fartlek, etc. Even more so, I didn’t know how to gauge my pace. The runna app has audio guidance in your ear that tells you if you need to speed up or slow down to stay on pace. The plan shows you all weeks in advance but also tweaks it if needed as you go. And you can rearrange workouts within the week too. This has been so motivational to use and is like having a coach in your pocket. Highly recommend!.Version: 4.2.16

Actually helpful!Little animated ppl showing the strength exercises and the attached videos for more info are very helpful. Also the articles that are available to get into on my own time are super interesting and informative. And the chime sound when you check something off is 10/10 serotonin. Downloaded from an Insta ad and glad I did !.Version: 3.4.15

Runna App ReviewI love this app! The personalization of my plan is awesome. It really feels like I have a coach in my pocket cheering me on!.Version: 4.0.6

Perfect for semi serious runnerI’ve thought about getting a running coach in the past but never bit the bullet but with Runna I just downloaded it and sent it. It’s been brilliant for not Having to think about what run to do on any given day and all the workouts just load onto my watch and off I go. Perfect for not having to think and plan and still progress with my running..Version: 4.0.9

Great appRunna helped me run my first marathon. I don’t think I would have been able to do it without this app. It has very straight forward plans and being able to just pop your earbuds in and be told how fast to run etc is super handy. It made speed training possible anywhere including the beach. Overall the training plan made my marathon training experience exceptional.Version: 4.2.12

Only app that has kept me runningI’ve been on and off with my running for years. This is the first app that has helped me develop running as a consistent habit. Reduces barriers to getting out, as it’s much easier to run if you don’t have to think about your plan! It’s expensive, but it’s worth it..Version: 4.2.19

Love the program, improve the UII am loving the tips and the content. I feel that I am really improving my running and actually know what I’m doing for once! One tip I would like is how to figure out how to do the temp runs better since they are new to me, math is hard, especially when I’m running. For the app, I enjoy the general layout but would like some UI improvements. Skipping through the week drop down gets confusing sometimes. If they were crossed out, or just disappeared/were not selectable (unless from a separate button labeled “past runs”) it would be helpful for me to know what week I’m on..Version: 4.2.19

Great for beginners and intermediate runnersThe marathon training plan is working out great for me. Love that the plan is so versatile. It takes thinking out of the equation so you just get out the door and run! It syncs very nicely with my Garmin..Version: 4.2.40

The best running app☺️I got this app after I saw a girl using it on tiktok to make a schedule before her half marathon race. I decided to try it out because I am so bad at being accountable for running during the week without a schedule. This app has now changed the game for me. I recommend it to everyone because Runna couldn’t have made it any easier for someone wanting to run outside (or of course inside). One of the best features is that it tells you when you are on pace and off pace for all of your workouts on my Apple Watch while I’m running. My half marathon race is coming up and now I feel extremely prepared..Version: 4.2.39

Helps with pacingApp meets you wherever you are at in your running journey and develops a plan based on your goals. Pacing reminders are very helpful during runs. Love that feature.Version: 5.10.1

The Best Investment in your RunningI brought this app after recommendation from my sister. When I first signed up I only ever ran 5k and the same route over and over and never improved. I have now gone from running 5k in 34min to 25mins !!! I signed up for the great south run & used the 10 mile plan, I love the structure the plan gives you, working as an ICU nurse I often find it hard to keep structure in my workouts but runna allows me to fit it into my schedule, even if it is after a night shift! I had never done any interval or long runs over 10k before and now I can easy run 17km without stopping! I also like how it’ll tell you what your PB time will be etc and how you can see foward to what runs you’ll have in the coming weeks. Runna has changed relationship with running, rather then seeing it as a chore it is something I now enjoy and it’s so rewarding to see the plan pay off with improvements in fitness etc! I have now signed up for a half marathon and look forward to starting my new plan soon couldn’t recommend this app enough!.Version: 4.2.21

A Game ChangerI am not a natural runner I am 56 and last year I struggled to run for 60 seconds without stopping. I challenged myself to improve my long term health and cardio fitness - I discovered runna through an instagram post - tried it for a week and loved how it was so tailored to my ability. I enjoy the different training sessions, I feel challenged in a positive way. I can now run for 6kms and I had a PB in my park run last week if 36 mins - I have bought a 1 year subscription for my daughter who is now doing a half marathon..Version: 4.2.40

Great for motivationRunna plans keep you motivated to get out and do your next session- each session is different enough to keep it interesting. I’ve found having a voice tell me how to pace my run a real game changer, as slowing down to run for longer, and complete each session, has improved my fitness..Version: 5.6.2

Great app for running progressionWould give more stars if I could. Fantastic app to keep you accountable for keeping up with training. Have recommended to everyone..Version: 5.10.1

Great running appIf you like Hal Higdon’s app and you’re looking for the next step without getting a coach, this is it. It’s easy, positive and gives you a dynamic program..Version: 4.2.28

Amazing!Keeps me accountable and helps me set goals. Love it and definitely worth it!.Version: 4.2.7

Great app for getting fitAbout to finish my 8 week get fit plan… everything about my running, fitness and life has transformed in the past couple months. The runna app is so well designed and the plans are great. I think that they could put slightly more emphasis on the fact that users should exercise judgment when following plans — sometimes you may need to take two weeks to do one week of the plan, or skip a session due to strained muscles. Other than that, I can’t recommend it enough. 2$ a week is nothing for a running coach..Version: 4.2.43

BEST choice for the ambitious, consistent, and less-injury-prone runner.I've tried several semi-tailored running plan apps and strategies. My favorite so far has been Runna, with Run with Hal as the runner up. I'm liking Runna better because I can actually use it in between races with its maintenance plans. I've never been able to justify a full-year subscription to RWH because there's not much to do with it between races, but with Runna it's useful every month of the year. Then the icing on the cake (and it's a LOT of icing) is that Runna auto-syncs my workouts to my Garmin. Then the Ice cream on the icing is the personal support from actual coaches. That alone makes the app worth it. Oh, almost forgot. The powdered sugar on the ice cream is that the plans get as ambitious as you want. I have a pipe dream of running a 100miler some day, and it's nice to know this app can take me there. I haven't used that feature yet, but I'm sure it'll be great to have some day. It took me a few minutes to figure out how to move a workout to a different day, but I figured it out. I do wish I could edit the workouts in Garmin, or at least make small tweaks in the Runna app. Finally, and this is not patently a pro or con, Runna has provided the most challenging training plans. Arguably not enough easy runs, but also arguably a great blend for people who are less injury prone..Version: 3.5.3

My favourite app ever!I only started using Runna 2 months ago to train for a 10K at the end of May. I have been running for over 25 years and using this app has transformed my running and given me a varied and effective training programme. I feel fitter and stronger as a result of the speed sessions and I find the commentary so helpful. I love how the app works on my Apple Watch providing me with countdown to the splits. Using this app has been like having my own running coach, helping me to stick to the plan and providing accountability. I love it!.Version: 5.9.0

LOVE the simplicity and motivationI absolutely love the ease of not having to plan each week it’s there for you, there’s warm ups, focused runs, about the run and what to expect am very impressed- on week four of half marathon training I love it’s helped me to be consistent.Version: 5.6.2

Great App! Just one annoying thingI really really like the app. Once you get started on of the plans, the reminders to run aren’t to aggressive and don’t make you feel weird for skipping runs or anything like that. I like running now because the app is helping me stick with it. The one gripe I have is that when doing any of the guided runs that have built in “laps” or intervals (ex. 3 mins running, 2 mins walking), The interval will end and say I did 2:59 running and start the next, when the next ends it’ll say I walked for 1:59. Somehow, each interval is shorted a second. Now, in the grand scheme of things this isn’t effecting how I do things too much, I just add a second on my own. But on a longitudinal level, it’s supremely annoying and bothers me immensely that mathematically I should’ve ran 30 mins, but because I got shorted a second 10 times I only ran 29:50. Maybe I’m not explaining this correctly or in a way that makes sense, but it’s def a pain point for me. Overall tho it’s a small thing and I do really like the app..Version: 4.2.35

Love this appRunna takes the guess work out of planning and structuring your training. The workouts are varied, effective, and help keep running interesting. As you progress and improve, the app programming adjusts accordingly. I love that you can rearrange the workouts on a given week to accommodate your schedule. I’ve found support/customer service to be responsive and helpful anytime I’ve reached out with a question. Love this app!.Version: 4.2.22

The best running app EVER!I couldn’t recommend this app enough. At first I was sceptical as I’d previously just used marathon training plans online, and wasn’t sure how much better this could be, but Runna proved me wrong. Without this plan, I never would have pushed myself to go above and beyond what I thought I was capable of and knock a whole 15 minutes off my marathon PB! The 16 week plan I used was perfect for me, and with personalised messages from coaches each week, combined with the Community section of the app, I felt truly supported all the way and that I could reach out at any time for help or advice. Community is such a big part of running and I feel like Runna has really achieved this with their app! It’s really helped to hold me accountable for doing strength training as well, which I’ve struggled with in the past, but Runna made it a breeze. Their customer support team are also amazing, replying so quickly so any queries I had. Honestly I’ve loved training with Runna so far, and really can’t wait to use it for my next marathon, thank you so much!.Version: 4.2.14

Unparalleled Running CompanionI have experimented with various structured running workout plans over the years, and Runna stands out as a superior choice. The app offers an impressive blend of variety, flexibility, and quality that is unmatched in the market. What makes Runna exceptional is its ability to cater to any running goal, regardless of its nature. Whether you are a novice looking to get started or a seasoned runner aiming for a new personal record, Runna has you covered. Although the price point may seem high initially, it is a worthy investment given the results and experience it offers. Runna's approach towards creating a personalized running regimen, adapting to changes, and maintaining diversity in routines make it a powerful tool for anyone serious about their running journey..Version: 3.4.18

Helps with slowing down and enjoying the run!Great coaching app. Feel more confident in running and finally understand more about pacing myself and using the technology to train smarter, not harder!.Version: 3.3.37

Removes programming guess workSolid app. Saves me a lot of time and effort in getting started and staying on track..Version: 5.10.1

Perfect for all running types! The plans are so customizable. They never feel to hard or easy for my abilities and I actually feel myself making progress. The hard runs feel hard but doable and the easy runs feel easy. The support from coaches is amazing. They respond quickly & are there with any questions I have. Would recommend this app to anyone from beginner to expert..Version: 4.2.19

Affordable running gamechangerBefore using the app my pace had become a bit stagnent. I love the variety of plans and how it’s tailored to your ability. This is such a good tool, the workouts sync to Garmin and it’ll tell you when you need to go faster/rest etc when you’re doing intervals. Compared to the cost of a running coach, it’s really affordable. Since using the app I’ve consistently chipped time off my 5k parkrun time every week and I’m currently working towards another spring half using the training plans on the app..Version: 4.2.18

Good quality app!I use it for guidance in my half marathon training plan. Great variability and customization..Version: 3.5.3

Awesome experienceI’m towards the last week of my 5k training. At the start I was not convinced I would be able to do it but I did trust the process, accepting some unexpected and listening my body. Can’t wait to run my 5k this week and progress to 10k..Version: 4.2.1

Love itI really like this app. I find it motivating when I don’t feel like running. I’m 55 and was starting to feel like I was stuck in only running 5k. But wanted to keep doing longer distances. I wasn’t sure how to increase the distance. And this app has been excellent for that. I love the regular feedback while I’m running on my pace. And I love when it tells me to slow down!! It has really helped me with pace and distance. Would recommend!.Version: 4.2.45

Amazing appAn awesome app that helps me build on my running..Version: 3.5.3

Amazing plans tailored to you!Having only taken up running during lockdown, I used a Runna plan to train for my first marathon last year. It did and I was delighted both with the plan and the marathon itself which I felt totally prepared for by the time it came round. My running improved significantly during the 16 week plan, I gained so much more confidence in my running abilities and learned so much about running, recovery, strength and fuelling. The team are lovely - super supportive and responsive. I entered my first half marathon part way through my training and Ben tweaked my plan for me to ensure I could fit it in and gave me some pace guidance. I’ve since completed a half marathon plan and I’m about to embark on another 16 week marathon plan for London this year. Aside from the fantastic support, one of the best things for me is that all the workouts go straight to my Garmin so I no longer have to head out for my interval and tempo sessions with all my splits written on my hand - it beeps at me to keep me in the pace zone so I’m not having to constantly look at my watch while I run. Simply the best running plans around - it really is like having your own running coach at a fraction of the cost..Version: 2.2.2

Free plans for a new runnerThank you for creating an 8 week plan for free. It’s a great app for someone like me that wants a goal set ahead of time but not to the point where it’s overwhelming. They build on your experience and make you comfortable with running..Version: 4.2.1

It’s a perfect appA month ago I set out without a plan to run “as far as I could”. I did 1km and felt amazing. But never did I think, 5 weeks later, I would be going on an 8km run. I loved running with a structured, accessible plan so much that I decided to sign up to a 10km race and a half marathon race. I was worried running would interfere with my weight training but it has motivated me and improved my mental health. The app is affordable, very easy to use and satisfying. I love ticking off my workouts every week! Thank you runna.Version: 5.6.0

Great for trainingLove the variation in training and the speed workouts are always super enjoyable but challenging, have seen so much improvement in form and pace..Version: 3.4.15

A life changing appFrom pretty much nothing to running half-marathons for fun as part of a plan. The programs guide you to realistic goals, and the holistic approach to training is as close to what a dedicated coach could give you as you will get in an app. The strength training adapt to whatever hardware you own and the exercises are actually fun to do. Recently, they added yoga, which I now do every week, to my own surprise! And the team at Runna has been great, quickly answering any question or fixing the (small) issues I found. What this app provide is amazing, and it constantly improves. If you love running, this is the best service around. And if you just want to run a bit more for fun but do a lot of other activities (strength, pilates, yoga), I actually thing Runna is better than Fitness+, for the same price..Version: 5.4.1

Training to a marathonRunna is a fantastic app for beginners to intermediate runners. Gives you direction, goals, and has a great community. Highly recommend! Easy to use app, and also can include strength training..Version: 4.1.1

Best running appI just love it. Great job with establishing your running plan. They also answer your questions so fast. Thank you Runna and keep doing a great job. Cheers.Version: 4.2.40

Great but can’t justify costPretty much everything you would want in an app, easy to use, engaging program and good integrations. Price point is too high for me to justify when options like training peaks and garmin plans are available and do pretty much the same..Version: 5.8.1

Absolutely stokedAbsolutely stoked with Runna it has helped me stay focused and motivated also the interaction I’ve had with the support crew was quick and my request was sorted straight away couldn’t recommend it more highly.Version: 5.1.0

My most used appThe structure the plan offers is one of the best features. As a new runner having a plan that I can stick to and that is tailored to my needs and pace is really motivating. I love how easy the app is to use and how you can see what you’ve got coming up. I can sit and pour over what I’ve got to achieve that week and plan my routes and work around the plan. The hint and tips are really useful as a new runner to get me thinking about how to improve even further. I also get a real kick out of the little ticks when I’ve completed a workout.Version: 3.5.3

If you love running, you’ll love this AppAfter reading the reviews I decided to try the two week trial and I was not disappointed. I was searching for the right app and programme to train for the London Marathon and I have found the perfect solution. A well structured programme, tailored to your current times/pace which is also flexible and even has built in strength training. I have genuinely enjoyed using the app and you get additional support from the coaches. I have seen an improvement in my performance and really enjoyed the journey. Can’t wait for the next challenge already. Thank you Runna..Version: 5.8.0

RunnaThis plan is working well so far. Very new to me. Not as much running as I’m familiar with but trusting the program. Only caveat is having to run two sessions at once to get the audio - watch and phone..Version: 5.1.0

Easy to set up and keep using!Workouts are clear on a daily/weekly basis and good suggestions on nutrition and strength. Also links to specific races so I didn’t have to input the dates of my upcoming races.Version: 5.4.1

The best running app ever!I tried NHS couch to 5k and hated it, so thought I hated running. Then every video on TikTok was people running so I decided to give Runna a go and went straight for their 5k improvement plan even though I could barely run a 5k without stopping. Within a few weeks this plan had me running 5ks in 35 mins! Obviously it’s not just the app, you need to get up and out there and put the work in but this app supports you more than I’ve seen others do. There’s also a great community section where you can ask questions and share your achievements. They have built a great community! Thank you.Version: 4.2.1

Amazing appI really like how it tells me what my max pace should be. I’m trying to get faster and it’s helping to manage my expectations!.Version: 4.0.9

Totally beginnerLike everyone else, during lockdown (way back when…) I took up running and was proud when I reached 10k… when life went back to normal I went back to work and running took a back sit. Fast forward to now and I started casually running to help recovery from a back injury, I felt super unfit and needed guidance… I’m now signed up for my first marathon in April and without RUNNA I wouldn’t even consider doing it/being able to even run further than 10k but with their structured plans and informative trainers it’s not looking as daunting as it first was! 5/5 🌟.Version: 4.2.1

Just start runningAs someone new to running, Runna has removed a lot of barriers of entry for me to just get started and focus on actually just doing the thing. It has a great user experience that makes it really comprehensible to get started. What's worked really well for me is the ability to track everything directly on my apple watch and then synching data after my workout. The watch app is like having a coach on your wrist, knowing that you're within your threshold of performance is a great way to know if you're doing things correctly, but also a great reminder to slow down or pick up if you're leaning too far down any side of the spectrum. I'm currently training for my first 5k and each week I feel more and more confident that my plan is leading me in the right direction..Version: 4.2.22

300 to goal weightOriginally got runna as a means into getting into running and training for a marathon coming from a bodybuilding and powerlifting background I hated running but I slowly got embraced into the family of running and the hybrid training style (lifting + running) cannot recommend this app enough I’m currently on week 7 of the iron tri plan lost 30 pounds already and lowered my 5k time by 10 minutes give it a try!.Version: 4.2.20

Best app10/10 recommend, it’s very easy to follow, customizable, and if you have issues the support team is easy to reach and awesome!.Version: 5.7.0

Loving itMoved from Garmin coach to Runna and it’s the best move. Love the treadmill speeds for indoor workouts. Easier to see week’s activity and it’s more at my pace where Garmin was too slow and then too long too quick..Version: 5.6.0

Wonderful app!I keep improving every week!.Version: 3.4.18

Best Running AppI have had many workout apps over the years and this is the first one that I actually enjoy having. You can change around your runs to suit your needs and the little comments for each run are really nice to have! I have yet to see another app provide the amount of support than this one! If you are unsure about your plan or have any questions there’s many places to find answers or you can chat with a real person at any point. I think that makes a huge difference these days with bots providing support in many places. It’s nice to actually talk to a human! I’ve recommended this app to so many people as well - best running tool out there!.Version: 4.2.45

Good appDoes pretty much everything you could ask for. Great for providing some structure to training. Lots of variety too, I never feel like I’m just repeating the same stuff over and over..Version: 4.2.33

My journey to LLHMI started using this app today as I previously had a back injury due to running at the speed I did 3 years ago hence how I got the injury, and Runna app has helped me through this with personal messages through the app from stretching, strengthening and gradually working my way back to where I want ti be. I definitely recommend this app as I’m running the LLHM next year and with this app I know I’m going to accomplish it. It’s well worth the subscription per month compared to other apps which I used in the past that don’t really help and support you..Version: 4.2.12

Brill App Making Me Enjoy RunningThe app is easy to use, and I love the design, but most importantly the content is brilliant. I am finally enjoying running and have seen improvements from week 2. I love that you don’t have to think about what you’re going to do that day, and you don’t have to look at your watch 50 times every minute, because the app is synced to your watch and you have the runs in your watch calendar and get audio prompts to change pace and when you’re running too fast..Version: 3.5.3

The bestI never write app reviews but being it has been just about a year with runna i can comfortably say this is the BEST coaching app available. most importantly is that they listen to their feedback, the app has gone through constant updates since i joined, each bringing really great stuff. keep it up team 🙌🏃‍♂️💨.Version: 5.3.0

GreatVery well done.Version: 5.6.2

This is the running app that you’ve been looking forI've tried many different running apps, but most of them have been disappointing. They often require strange workarounds to import activities, provide a subpar experience on the Apple Watch, and create plans that lack a proper balance between rest and hard work. As a result, I ended up getting injured at the beginning of last year. However, everything changed when I discovered Rana. I quickly switched from my existing marathon plan to Rana's, and my only regret is that I didn't find it sooner. It's evident that the developers have put effort into every aspect of the app. Rana is designed by runners, for runners, and it has proven to be incredibly useful in my journey to improve my running times, overall fitness, and strength..Version: 4.2.42

My favourite appI love this app, syncs so well with Garmin, and takes the guess work out of everything. The plans are great and really effective. A must have for any runner. Customer service has been great when I’ve contacted them too.Version: 3.4.15

Amazing, except for treadmill Apple Watch usersHave really enjoyed this app. It’s made me run more, faster, and longer. Improved my cardio fitness over a short few weeks. Overall, it’s great, except for a few things: *Con - Strava integration is extremely loud with super long and obnoxious titles that read like ads. *Con - the app works great with an Apple Watch and if you run outdoors. But if you want to track your heart rate with an Apple Watch on a treadmill, it’s impossible to get it accurate. If you track with your Apple Watch, it will underestimate how much you ran and require that you run an additional 15-20% of your planned run. It’s extremely frustrating..Version: 4.2.22

Amazing training but buggyAbsolutely love this app - did couch to 5k in September and had a 5k time of around 30mins until beginning a running training programme. I'm on week 9 now and also began a Runna strength training programme around a month ago. I was going to the gym 3 times a week previously alongside running but wanted to have something a bit more tailored to running and my 5k time is now 25 mins! HOWEVER the gym workouts i find slightly buggy. It will be very slow and unresponsive and seriously drains my battery - no streaming or music, Runna drains my battery from 100% to 42% in a morning, so have had to start carrying a charger with me. Not the end of the world but would be frustrating to be caught short! i can't say what the running is like because I import them to my Garmin rather than doing it through the app. Overall though I love this app and can't recommend enough - with battery-draining bugs fixed it would be 5 stars 🙌🏼.Version: 5.10.1

I have tried them all. This is the best oneMore than any of the other running apps, Runna feels like it was designed BY RUNNERS. The Apple Watch app gives thoughtful and relevant feedback (without being annoying) and the mobile app provides alot of options for customization. Overall, really solid app and one that I am happy to be paying for to guide me through some big training blocks..Version: 4.2.1

PerformanceI’m currently 4 weeks into my plan towards a half marathon I’m doing in September. The plan is simple to follow. I suggest those who plan on using this app to push harder than what is suggested during speed workouts. I have way more left in the tank, so I tend to push faster than the suggested pace. Other than that the deloads scheduled throughout the plan is refreshing and the runs are challenging but not hard. Currently looking to finish my next half marathon in 1:42. Last marathon was 2hrs..Version: 3.5.3

Training planWhen it came to training for races as a noobie I only focused on getting KMs in my legs. Runna is great it gave me structured plans to hit my targets with different challenges each run. More importantly it has given me strength and conditioning workouts. Which have really up my game and stability. Would 100% recommend to anyone Can’t wait for my first half marathon.Version: 5.1.0

From couch to champI like that it’s motivating me to get out and run. It’s improving my mental health greatly as well!.Version: 4.2.6

Worth itI’ve tried many different running apps. Love the intuitive plan they set up and advice that comes along with each week. Learning why I’m doing what I’m doing. Fairly seamless experience with connecting to Spotify which is important to me. Excited to be running again and the approach the app provides has definitely helped!.Version: 4.2.28

Love this app!I love the flexibility and details provided within the Runna app. I was looking for an app that would include detailed runs, not just distances but actual speed/pace goals for each run. And I also wanted help with fitting in the strength training among the running. This app does all of that and more! The runs are actually quite fun and go quickly as most of them are broken up into warm up and then different paces followed by cool down and it makes the longer runs and the speed workouts go by so quickly! One feature that I think is awesome is that you can manage your plan by selecting number of days per week, what level of experience, time of last race, etc. You can do this during a plan without having to end/start an entirely new plan. It allows so much flexibility and really allows you to customize the plan to fit your goals. Excellent app!!.Version: 4.0.5

Great but $Enjoy this app but find the price steep..Version: 4.2.39

Must Have For Training!!If you are training for you first long distance race and not sure what to do then this app is a must.Version: 5.1.0

Great for BeginnersI started using this app after my half marathon, beginning to train for my first marathon. It’s been so nice to just get on the app and know exactly what I’m doing that day in a simple format. You also can pair strength training with your running plan, which was something I neglected in my half training. This app has made that super easy and they seem to be continuously making updates trying to improve the app for users, which is great!.Version: 4.0.5

Wholeheartedly recommend this app!I just wanted to say a huge huge thank you for this app! Having started running in 2019, I’ve completed 2 marathons but have never seen a real improvement in my pace (other than the first 6 months). I’ve just completed your 12 week half mara plan, and have managed to knock a whopping 5 mins off my previous half mara pb, getting 1h53 (albeit on a hangover)! Just such an amazing app that I recommend to everyone - it has made me really believe in myself, given me something to aim for, and truly made me love running again. Thank you thank you thank you!.Version: 4.2.12

It’s gotten me farther than I ever thought,I was a new runner a few months ago, I was 48, overweight and had no cardio. In five months I have gone from a mile to a five K to a ten K. Today I ran nine miles, the farthest in my life. The most important thing is I haven’t been injured following their plans. Wouldn’t be where I am at without Runna. 40 pounds light and pace now 10 minutes a mile compared to 12:30 minute miles this summer..Version: 4.2.18

Best Running Plan!!I've been on so many plans, and I never went anywhere until I found this app. I'm on week five, and my 5km running times are improving significantly! I can’t recommend this app enough! Thank you RUNNA 🏃.Version: 3.3.20

It works!I’ve completed 2 marathon plans and each time I improved by 10-15 minutes. They really help with structure, which in turn helps with improving your ceiling and ensuring you get proper recovery. The coaches also can answer and questions directly through private messages that I frequently use. If you need a coach and your lifestyle or work schedule isn’t run group/team friendly, I highly suggest runna!.Version: 4.2.22

Great motivationRunna app has been brilliant to keep me on target and hopefully achieve my aim of completing my first half marathon. I have felt the gains I have made over the last 6 weeks when doing the longer runs recently. The app works well with Strava and my Garmin making that part of the training seamless. Now it’s up to me!! 😄.Version: 5.1.0

Great app for all running levels.-thorough programs -easy to adjust and follow -strength programs are great too.Version: 4.2.4

Great app.I tried this app as a free trial just to see. I was fully expecting to delete it after the trial. I love it! Links with my Garmin watch and phone. Plans out all the runs I need without me thinking about it. Then gives audio cues to speed up and slow down to maintain pace. This feature alone is worth it. I’ve pre paid for the next year now. I’ve spent so much money over the years on trainers looking for improvement but investing in Runna gave me multiple PBs at a fraction of the cost of a single pair of trainers. I am a Dr and I have recommended this to many of my patients who are keen to start training too. Great work guys!.Version: 5.4.1

Training for my first marathon was enjoyable with this app!I have LOVED it. It’s been so reliable with no hassle linking to watch. I hadn’t realised it sends through to watch when I purchased - it has been brilliant. I have run my first marathon using the plan in full and I didn’t find the training a chore at all. Before finding the app, I didn’t realise know what I was doing - I had found a couple of plans online but when I started the app, I realised I’d been putting in way too many miles and way too soon. I doubt very much I’d have been able to maintain it or find the training enjoyable. I also love the different workouts.. i wouldn’t have known what/how much hill work/intervals etc to do, never mind have it feature in my training every week (and still now even after the marathon).Version: 4.0.5

Great With Training PlansThis app has made me a better runner in 4 weeks. I put my info in with the goal of doing a half-marathon, and in Week 4 I ran my fastest most efficient 10K! It really helps to have guidance with running as I’m fairly new to it and got lost in my own training. Runna helped bail me out, stick to the plan and it’ll help you achieve your goals! I hope to attempt the half in May..Version: 4.2.45

IncredibleI’ve been using Runna for a long time now and have been using it recently to train for my full Ironman and London marathon. I love that I am able to do back to back plans based on my goals at the time, whether that’s training for a race, resting post race or just keeping fit in between. I used to train so inconsistently and get injured all the time. Now I’m feeling stronger, enjoying my training with all its variety and also smashing some PBs which is always nice to show off all the hard work. I’m so excited to see how Runna keeps progressing. There’s nothing else like it! I used to want to get a running coach and now I don’t need one as I’m coached in such an accessible way..Version: 3.3.4

Best fitness appI don’t usually leave reviews for apps, but runna has had such an impact on my running ability that it would be a disservice not to. I was doing traditional body building for 3 years and switched to a functional HYROX style this yeag and with very little running experience it was a bit daunting, however from the get go the plans that runna makes combining easy long and interval running aswell as recovery days is next to none, I have seen so much progress since starting and recommend to everyone I known.Version: 5.9.0

Love this app!!❤️This app app as structure to plan out your runs week by week, but also has flexibility to change around the days easily if needed. Tracks your runs by time, speed, and distance. The coaching during the runs is awesome and you can listen to your own playlist and or podcasts with the app as well. Definitely happy with this app 😍❤️❤️.Version: 3.5.2

Will help take your running to the next levelTailored plans that suit your ability and adjust as you progress. I found myself surpassing my goals with Runna.Version: 4.2.33

Love this appGreat app that offers a curated workout plan to fit your needs and you schedule! I love the flexibility that it offers (ie You can change your workout plan if your goals change - run more or less, strength training more or less, speed…)..Version: 4.2.12

Incredible, especially for beginnersRunna has been amazing in helping me stay running consistently and train for specific goals. I’ve ran on and off before, but at the beginning of 2023 decided I wanted to really get into running, do it the right way, and eventually run a half marathon. The distances and workout variations have been spot on for my fitness level, and I’ve already seen great progress just in the first few months. I’m confident that if I stick with the plan, I’ll be able to run that half marathon. The specific things I like about the app is that it uses GPS tracking so the distances are accurate, and it gives me specific paces to shoot for during my runs along with voice prompts when I’m either going too fast or too slow. As a beginner runner, it’s been incredibly useful for getting to know what each pace feels like. 10/10 would recommend!.Version: 3.4.0

10km planThis app has been so great so far. I’ve been using for 7weeks now to build up my running ability to 10km. I’m 3 weeks away from hitting that goal and today ran 9km. It’s great the way the app syncs perfectly with my Garmin watch & coaches me along my runs! Love it, so manageable..Version: 4.2.11

Great App!The app is super easy to use. Very happy with it, and find that it’s easier to get back into running with a structured plan!.Version: 4.0.8

Love this appI started runna because I left my CrossFit gym and still wanted to stay active. I loved CrossFit because I didn’t have to think through my workouts every day and the coaching I got. Runna does both! The freebie running plan they gave me got me hooked!! And honestly 9.00 a month is nothing when you literally have a ton of different running plan options and the ability to integrate strength training! I’m really enjoying it and what’s great is you can just give it a try for free first :).Version: 4.2.19

The best running app I’ve used!A very functional app. I have followed generalised running plans before which have resulted in recurrent injuries. Runna has provided me with a tailored running plan including running and strength workout which has kept me injury free whilst still improving my running..Version: 5.8.1
