MILKRUN for Negative User Reviews

Don’t even deliverJust downloaded the app and you don’t even deliver in my area kinda disappointing i’ll keep an eye out for when you do. but I’ll live in Western Sydney area. you would think it would be out here by now. I’m sick of using Uber and DoorDash to deliver stuff from Coles as it’s always expensive on the app currently a 30 pack of Coke is $26 at Coles right now but on the Uber app they’re charging me $50 and because a lot of the Uber drivers do not give you receipts you cannot fight it to get the extra money back they just take it so please find a way to get it out here quicker.Version: 2.1.4

Buggy, but convenient.I found it difficult to place an order in the app as there was a continuous 403 error that would pop up after a couple minutes every time I restarted the app. Still, I eventually checked out and the rest of the process was pretty smooth, even though my 3rd party Uber delivery driver was about 20 minutes late. Hopefully the app issues are resolved soon. I gave up a few times. Also, I wish the app accepted everyday rewards..Version: 1.0.3

DeliverySays it delivers to Eden Terrace, yet put my address in and it says you don’t. False advertising team..Version: 2.0.8

Limited choices, also no filter on search resultsDownloaded it for the promotion… but I’m not sure what this app’s target market segment is… for really busy people that already know what they want, this app does not offer “in stock” filter on search results; for someone who likes browsing, there are very limited options+small fonts+ no real “specials” filters. In conclusion, not so user friendly as the original Woolworths app which I use every week..Version: 1.1.2

WW’s have ruined MilkrunThe app itself works perfectly. My issue is with the fact that since WW bought Milkrun they’ve literally ruined it. Such a flop. No more friendly person on an eBike, no more cool, interesting products unavailable elsewhere, no more speedy delivery. Think of all of the most generic, boring items and then imagine them getting delivered at a huge markup, by an unhappy (probably Uber) driver, in an highly unpredictable time frame. Pointless, boring, ruined. The marketing team have done a truly awful job trying to replicate the tone of the marketing, which is none of my business but just adds insult to injury. Milkrun used to always give you a treat like a mars bar with delivery, last week with a WW Milkrun we got a free pack of wheat crackers with a ‘this ones on us!’ sticker on it - like, what do you mean? That’s not a treat, it’s a burden. A waste..Version: 2.0.8

The prices are more inflated than the other appIf you compare the Woolworths app to the Milkrun app you can see that this apps prices are inflated a lot. I saw the advertisement for this app on the Woolworths website and thought I would download it to see for myself. I was shocked that the prices were at least fifty cents more than on the previous Woolworths app that I always use. It’s strange because they are both from the same company but have vastly different prices on the same products..Version: 2.1.2

Good when it works, but often does notI have tried the app many times for the convenience but the experience is anything but when issues are encountered, which is ALL OF THE TIME. My local store in Woolloomooloo is clearly useless and accurately and timely filling orders. If a product is unavailable they just don’t deliver it, even for a loaf of bread (my experience today) when there are literally hundreds of other substitutions. The drivers often say that they have arrived at the store and the delivery was not ready, which is why the estimated delivery time gets pushed back, and back, and back each time I have ordered..Version: 2.1.4

Limited range, high product unavailability, room for improvementGood premise for this app, my items were delivered speedily, in good condition to my door. 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾Prices are not marked up excessively and I appreciated the free delivery. One item I ordered was not actually available, so the refund for that came back to my account automatically and smoothly within 24hrs- I appreciated that. However, at least half of the items I wanted to order (in the *already* limited app range) were greyed out as 'back soon'. I was going to order some more things today, but only 1of the 4 things I need was available, so I didn't bother. Also the app says that all ingredients are listed for products, but this is only true for some so far, and nutrition information panels also need to be added. Thank you..Version: 1.0.9

Disastrous experienceFirst order. It took a while for our delivery guy to locate us as the app was sending him to different addresses while delivering. He was on the other street for 20mins so I have to message the guy and show him the proper location from Google maps. My order today, the driver was handing us a different order for a different customer and he told us that he was given the wrong bag by Woolworths. We refused the order and tried to call or chat the MILKRUN support via the app but couldn’t get to any one. Support should be available readily for delivery apps. I have to wait for an email response now and we didn’t have our groceries too. I probably will not use this service ever again..Version: 2.0.8

Typical failure to meet delivery timesAs with all of these delivery apps, they give you a time and then constantly change to delivery time as they never ever meet it. They add 10% to all the grocery items, and then add delivery charges. If you see a coupon being displayed to you as an offer, take note as they never show it again after you add items to your cart. It’s a typical computer optimised marketing machine, where it’s trying to maximise profits as much as possible. A vastly more expensive way to shop, and honestly it’s just as fast to go to your local countdown and buy it in person as you will end up wasting time waiting for a delivery driver to eventually deliver some of the groceries you ordered..Version: 2.1.1

Broken.Doesn't let me put in my card details and items I've placed in the car don't appear when I go to pay. Frustrating..Version: 2.1.1

Delivery location error.I checked the delivery locations before inputting my actual address. it showed that it delivered in a large vicinity of where i live, which was right in the city. but once i input my actual address it told me that they don’t yet deliver there… it didn’t make sense..Version: 2.1.3

Bad countdown.Things are priced higher than in the shop and it’s there own app. I understand Uber needing to increase prices to make a cut but cuntdown clearly just being greedy..Version: 2.1.4

Disappointed this is moving to MilkrunI used Metro60 yesterday for the first time - great experience, free delivery as I ordered $40 worth of groceries, and delivered in 15mins. 5 stars for yesterday's experience. Today the app is changing to Milkrun with a $5 delivery fee (yes I understand the first 3 deliveries are free). This is disappointing, the groceries are already overpriced, it was nice to know that the delivery fee was previously (only yesterday!!) absorbed in the cost of the groceries. I was planning on using Metro60 regularly. Not anymore..Version: 2.0.1

Delivery drivers changed 4 times and nothing confirmedI was drawn to the app by promotion by Woolworths. Put an order at close to 12 with estimate delivery 12:54. Order filled 12:30 and 1st driver accepted the delivery. At 1pm another driver *seemed* to pick up and estimate change to 1:12. Then that driver just stayed still for 30 mins. Estimate changed to 1:22 and at 1:30 the estimate was still 1:22. Then a 3rd driver accepted and after 1-2 mins, they dropped and another one picked up the order. That’s already the 4th driver. Frustrating enough another driver picked up and he’s actually the 1st driver!!! I’m not a racist but all of them are Indian and looks like my first order was free delivery that’s why they kept dropping it. You need better delivery incentives and penalties so they should stop doing this. Writing this at 1:50 and nothing is updated. This is worst then regular delivery and they brand themselves “milkrun”. Unacceptable. Will never use again..Version: 2.1.3

Limited Stock SelectionI love the concept, but my location the app only uses the smallest ‘corner’ store sized Woolworths for its product selection - despite the fact there is a very large Woolworths closer to my home. I am a celiac and as such the smaller Woolworths has next to nothing gluten free that I need for either convenience food or to cook larger meals. Why not get the drivers to go to the larger stores with a fuller range. It’s very frustrating. I now use DoorDash instead as it goes to the large Coles near my home..Version: 2.1.4

Not worth the hassleHonestly not a great app. First I had to contact them as 3 of my Apple Pay cards wouldn’t work. That was resolved and then when I was looking through, almost everything is priced up way more than it is in the physical shop(expected but wow the price was crazy) Then after placing my order at 4.08, the ETA jumped up by 53 minutes! My original ETA was 4.42 but in the end I didn’t received my groceries until 5.38 which was almost an hour later. Honestly don’t waste your time with this app if you have kids you need to feed quickly!.Version: 2.0.5

App is so buggy I couldn’t even place order.Terrible app. Clearly not ready for wide use. I kept receiving an error message when trying to add items to cart. I gave up and tried to check out with what was in cart and after entering all my details the ‘confirm’ button would not work. I closed the app and re-opened, only to make it worse. It told me my cart was empty but the icon down the bottom still had my items. When I went to add those items again, they were already on ‘1’, despite my cart being empty, so I couldn’t even re-add. I deleted the app and re-downloaded only to have the same issues. Could never place my order..Version: 1.1.2

Don’t believe the fake reviewsI’ve never reviewed an app before but hoo boy. Every single item listed has hidden marked up price s on it from the same products listed in the sand online stores. You’d save so much more money just doing a click and collect or regular delivery order. Why not just be transparent and include it in your delivery and service cost? Also, all the 5 star reviews here are clearly fake and written by the app developer company, which is such a shonky practice to try and appease the client instead of just focusing on boosting the ratings by improving the functionality and bug fixes. Was hoping this would solve my shopping problems as a new mum, but it’s not a very well thought out solution to release during a time of inflation and rising costs of living..Version: 1.0.5

Terrible ServiceEstimated delivery time on my order changed 5 times and after an hour my order still hadn’t been picked up. Enquired on their online chat as to what was taking so long. First got a bot then got a customer service rep who referred to me as a ‘dear friend’ which I found quite weird. Then instead of letting me know when my order would eventually arrive I just got sent a vague message saying I’d been refunded and would get a voucher but no mention my order had actually been cancelled. They then stopped replying to my messages. I tried calling them and no answer both times after waiting over 5 and 10 mins respectively. Totally misleading delivery times and terrible service and still no promised voucher or refund. Avoid like the plague..Version: 2.1.4

Convenient but stock and substitutions frustratingConvenient when they have what you want but the ‘allow substitutions’ option is on by default and you usually get something that’s not what you wanted. I often simply forget to turn this off. Plus if you do turn it off you need to wait and see what gets delivered as it might be out of stock. So, while convenient at its best it’s also unreliable and frustrating at times.Version: 2.1.4

Not available in my areaWhy advertise if it’s not available in your area for delivery. How long is the wait? Still have to use Uber eats as this app and door dash don’t have exist in my area in Auckland. Ad misleading not informing some customers it’s not available at all areas within the country..Version: 2.1.3

Quick but different pricesQuicker to revieve your grocercies , pretty easy to use. I noticed some prices are more expensive then the actual store prices on their app but makes up for it with the deals they have on there too..Version: 2.1.4

HmmHaven’t placed any order but I can’t use the new customer promo code.Version: 2.1.2
