✓ Good but strange updateI liked how the app was with the lessons and such, I was paying for a cooking course. But it seems with the most updated version they removed that in favour of more recipes. I’m not sure if I’m missing something but without the personal touch of someone talking you through the concepts of cooking I’m not sure what I’m paying for. Also the Cod with sweet peppers and lemon recipe has gone even after I favourited it? That was one of my favourites.Angry Person25Version: 3.6.2

✓ Not affordable for low/middle income college studentsI really enjoyed this app when it first blew up on Tiktok and was recommending it to all my friends… but having a $10 per month “subscription” is a little ridiculous. It’d make more sense to have to watch ads to build up credits or even a pay-per-lesson instead. ✓ Too little for too muchAt first I was on board. A Duolingo style app for cooking sounded great. However, this excitement was quickly crushed after realizing that every lesson after the first 2 were behind a subscription paywall. $9 a month is way too high of an asking price for content that can be found free online for the most part, especially considering there are only a few lessons even after subscribing. Each lesson is only a few min long and feels somewhat unprofessional. They use comedy as an attempt to keep people engaged, however it just drags on and appears to be there only to fill time. This along with the editing makes the lessons seem unfinished and lackluster. Not to mention the UI is somewhat choppy and unorganized. A great idea squandered by an unreasonable price tag yet again. ✓ Great idea- unfortunate executionI LOVED this app when it first came out- literally recommended it to all my friends, but now I’m embarrassed to have done so. Within a week of downloading, almost every recipe has been put under “pro” with no way of unlocking it without paying an unreasonable amount. I would prefer ads to unlock recipes instead of having to pay a subscription for them. Without paying the app has very little to offer. ✓ A lot of paid recipesI downloaded this so I can get better at cooking and learn new techniques, recipes and stop relying on takeout. However, you need to pay for a subscription to unlock meal recipes. I searched for breakfasts I can make, and the only one which was available to me was “baked potato”.
