✓ There must be thousands of five-letter words …… and this app chooses the most obscure ones. Quite a compelling (almost addictive) game but some answers are very obscure to the point you just guess an answer. The scoring is rather haphazard too. For example, once you get a word just delete a letter, type it again and your score goes up. Overall, a good start. Needs refining and get rid of some of the more obscure words..Version: 1.1

✓ Good app in generalI have tiktok and alot of people go live playing this game and to be honest it looked like a really good game but I didn’t know what it was called until I came across a guy who had it in his bio so I got it and diced to try it for myself and I was very impressed with this game! However, the only thing I think that could make this game better is if we didn’t have to pay for a lot of stuff because I don’t really like spending money on a game no offence, and some people might not have that money or they might not even have enough money but overall this game is a great and amazing game that I hope I will be playing often! 😁.Version: 2.3

✓ Almost perfectGreat version of the Wordle style puzzle. Unfussy, no ads, no unnecessary features - just does the job. The common words option is a must, as otherwise the term can be too obscure - and even then there’s occasionally a weird mix of US and UK spelling, but it’s not a big deal. Only thing stopping this from being 5 stars is that sometimes - when you win a game - there’s a pause of 20-30 seconds before it realises and lets you move on to the next puzzle. Its harder to see, can’t change a letter in the middle or beginning of the word. I play the normal wordle uk game once a day, and then I am always so happy to come back and play the game on your app! ✓ Dev attention:Good game, one error I encountered, I guessed the word in 5 tries, next word option didnt appear for a few seconds I clicked a letter and clicked enter, and every time I clicked enter the streak counter went up until finally the next word window came up and the game crashed. Upon reloading the streak was increased from my actual streak. Had streak of two after this error streak of 8. Also got a hint there may be more then one E in the word and the word had only one E, seems like an error..Version: 1.1

✓ Ruined an Enjoyable GameEnjoyed playing the game until the “downgrade.” The user interface is awful now, that black background is awful; the circles instead of the squares make no sense; the keyboard is awful; and you can no longer rotate the screen. I’ve emailed my complaints; received a response that these things would be fixed. Why is it that developers always ‘fix’ things that are not broken. I’m using another game now! ✓ Best Choice from All the AppsThis game is great. I’ve tried several app versions that are just like the original non-app Wordle. I deleted all but this one. This is the only game that lets you place correct letters where they belong and then go back to other spots and test out letters. All other versions make you repeatedly start spelling from the beginning over and over. And you can erase individual letter that you want to replace without having to clear the whole line. These features are even better than the original web browser game. Plus you can play more than one word a day if you want. (But I still play the online Wordle once a day!).Version: 1.1

It can get a little frustrating when you guess a word with two of the same letters (I.e. “piece”) and one of the duplicates is green which causes the other to be blue even though the letter is only in the actual word once (I.e. “flake”). ✓ Wonderful, if a bit glitchyLoving the game so far, but in the 30 minutes I have been playing I have had the same glitch 3 times: after correctly guessing the word, the game will sometimes refuse to move on to the next puzzle. The only button that works is the “enter” button, and repeatedly clicking this button will make the screen progress to the next puzzle, but it will also raise my win streak counter every time I click it. ✓ Good basic gameThis game is simple, easy to learn and overall checks all of the boxes. The reason that I deducted one star is because I think they use the breadth of the dictionary for possible words, so some of the selected words are very difficult to figure out. For instance, I got the word “KIBES”. After figuring out after three turns that it ended in “-IBES” I tried “VIBES”, ”JIBES”, and ”GIBES” in the losing effort. I would suggest there should be version that only uses less difficult words for people who want to casually play games like this. EDIT: shortly after this review, a feature was added that restricted the words to more common ones. Great job! Not to be a narc, but if you spam the enter button when entering the correct word, it will count each hit of the bottom towards your win streak. Calls into question the validity of some streaks. Exacerbated by the victory screen taking a long time to show up sometimes..Version: 1.1

The game play is good fun, sometimes words are repeated in the crossword mode especially if you are playing long words, maybe they only have so many 8-letter-words in the app’s generator. For example, formations such as * A * E S come up a lot, and at that point it’s guesswork. ✓ Good GameThe game is good and fun to play when I’m bored. When I have nothing to do I think of my list of, “Things to do When Bored,” and I see PuzzWord as my number one option. I always play it and it never gets old. All my friends also play the game and we enjoy sending ourselves our ratings and playing with each other. Their’s only a few things I don’t like about it though. The first thing is that all the modes that are fun, and I like to play are $30 a month! My parents would never let me but that and it’s so annoying when I see it. I also don’t like the part where you can’t at least do easy mode or hard mode. One of my friends has the subscription, so I also enjoy playing on his phone. That is why J gave this wonderful game a 4 ⭐️ rating. 😁.Version: 2.3
✓ Sometimes fun, sometimes frustratingI don’t understand why this game sometimes resets/refreshes and clears the board when you’re in the middle of trying to solve the puzzle. There is no countdown timer, and at times it will stay up without changing for quite a while. I have never timed it, per se but there is quite a bit of inconsistency in how long you might have to solve the each puzzle. I have enjoyed it for a couple of months, but I am looking for a similar but different game, because it’s really annoying to spend time solving a puzzle and then have the whole thing reset, without seeing any kind of countdown timer or anything. Also, FYI, if you are working on a puzzle and close the window, it does not save your progress-It just resets the puzzle..Version: 2.9

✓ Definitions?I love playing this game and I could literally play for hours. I only gave 4 stars though because one of my favorite parts of this game was removed in one of the recent updates. I really enjoyed reading the definition of words after each game. I feel like that was a great way to broaden my vocabulary or even enlighten me about words I have been using incorrectly. ✓ One issueGame is great but if I understand correctly if a letter has already been guessed (right letter and place), and the player in the following attempt repeats the same letter also in another position, the system makes it blue to indicate that it is present but in the wrong position ALSO IF IT REFERS TO THE ONE ALREADY FOUND, and no other such letter is included in the word. This makes things harder (good), but is slightly confusing and unfair. I would find preferable that in this case the letter would be black, indicating that - with the exclusion of the one already found - that letter is no more present among the ones still to guess. ✓ Fantastic Word PuzzleDon’t know what all the moaners are whinging about. Yes the updated version had a few things that needed sorting - my iPhone SE couldn’t cope with the seven-letter words, and I only had around 7/8ths of the keyboard! - but that said, it was soon sorted and the game now works perfectly both on iPhone and iPad. I’m having great fun mastering the challenging 7 letter words, and have solved a few in just a couple of moves, but I’d like to know what ‘game of the day’ means when it occasionally appears at the side of your game in the game history.
