✓ Fast ModeFirst off, the game is amazing. But for those that complain about the game being to slow, once you die the first time (this can done quickly in the beginning of the story(hint: sleep on the ship)) you will be presented with an option to switch to fast mode. The reason for 4 stars is that I think Fast mode is a bit to fast. I tried it, and the text scrolls way to quickly. I think it would be great to just skip over the long periods of “Taylor is Busy” but keep the same texting pace as normal..Version: 1.0

✓ Best sci-fi game ever!I just got this game a few hours ago and it’s so good like Taylor’s point of of view is very interesting but one thing,when it says that “Taylor is busy” maybe you can include what he’s (or she’s!) busy with. Like “Taylor is building his/her tent for the night” or “Taylor is sleeping”. Not saying that this is a bad game it’s really really good! Just giving my thoughts and opinions. ✓ Almost 5 ⭐️This game is amazing so far the only thing I don’t like about it is that you have to wait during that “Taylor is busy” part, but I have also heard that if you get to the part where he sleeps in the pod but you can turn on fast mode (makes time go by faster than in real life) the bad thing about it is that until you get to that part, you cannot get to the fast mode. ✓ One of the best games I’ve playedThis game kept me engaged and on the edge. Like I cared for these characters. Looked forward to getting notifications and these no penalty for making them wait you’ll just get reminders you to let you know they are still waiting. I have adhd so this made the game easier to remember to go back and further the story. The short bursts meant I didn’t get bored and the messages weren’t to long. ✓ Really Well Made!I’m not willing to talk about what things i didn’t like about this game (mainly cause i didn’t find anything) so i will be talking about the games ups! As a starter, Taylor is a very interesting character. They don’t seem open to do much but will already give it a try. Sure, they jokes get old fast but they are trying. Second, the format of this game is really cool! When i downloaded it for the first time, I thought it was gonna be a open world game. I actually like this better! The one thing i like the most is how there are time stamps between when Taylor does something ( such as traveling somewhere or looking for something) and when going to sleep, depending when you started the game, will go to sleep around the time you do! There really is only one single arc and no matter how many ways you try, you are always steered back to the same point. It needs a less linear more tangential series of plots. Given the simplicity of the game, the additional functionality is more creativity than resource, so I hope they build it out. ✓ Enjoyable, but frustratingI loved this, even though I am not in the target demographic I’d imagine. (I’m female, retired, this is the first choose your own adventure I’ve ever played). Taylor is needy, and wastes time typing nonsense instead of acting, but I guess that’s the game. I kept him/her alive to the end, and I might even try another adventure. But it must be quite easy if I’ve managed it. So maybe not one for hardcore gamers, but not one for kids either, there are some very scary elements..Version: 1.0
✓ Absolutely amazingThis game is one of the most unique concepts and greatest games I’ve played, and I don’t mean to do nothing but hype the game because like any game it had its issues, the only one I would be able to see however was certain discrepancies between it is obvious that “Taylor” the main character is speaking to you but at times when you reply to him it seems as you are genuinely typing in response to his spoken communication. (For example when giving an answer he might say “sarcasm is difficult to understand from print” or something along the lines) but other than that which obviously is a very minute issue. It was great, it allowed me to get through work and school and reply periodically so I got to maintain gameplay and understanding of the story without committing hours on end of my free time. We’ve all seen movies like respawning over and over, but this movie will show a random normal person in some corner of the world playing, what seems to them, a game. ✓ Wonderful!Before you purchase, read at-least part of the description… This is a gave played via “text messages”. This mean you need to do quite a bit of reading. The game does have a fast mode, but it is discouraged due to the fact that this game is not meant to be done quickly! Now that all of that is out of the way… It is well written and you WILL build an emotional bond (of sorts) with Taylor. I do wish that there were more opportunities to interact and a bit more variety of what to say. There also needs to be a fix for the amount of notifications that come through. I personally feel that 1 notification, when it is time to interact, would be best, rather than for every single phrase that Taylor says. There also needs to be some type of heads-up, when it comes to “Mel”. Knowing that the outcome is the end of that chapter, would be quite important knowledge to have! I can just imagine Taylor running down a dark hallway or maneuvering around a crater. I love how they implemented the feature where everything takes real world time. ✓ Loved itAt first I didn’t like how we had to wait for taylor to respond for awhile because I was very eager to continue the game but once I died the first time, (Spoiler alert: I froze to death on the first night.) The way Taylor is either explaining the situation before you, or alluding to her past life, all of that is awesome. However, when it comes to getting notifications about a choice needed to be made, I’ve experienced a bug during this, where I would lock in my choice via Notification Center, but the app doesn’t register the choice, resulting in wasted time waiting for dialogue and having to get into the app and lock it in there. ✓ Interesting and funI have been playing this game for just a few hours, and it is very interesting and unique. It is a text based game where you interact with a character called Taylor. You help guide Taylor after his ship crashes on a nearby planet. Taylor interacts as a real person would when sending and receiving your messages. At certain points you will see the message that Taylor is busy and there is no communication with him until he returns. At which point I closed the app. A little later I received what looked like a real text message from Taylor reporting on ther events that happened when he was away. That really made me feel that Taylor was a real person. I am really intrigued by this game and cannot wait to see what other surprises are in store for Taylor. ✓ Favorite scifi game!I just started playing Lifeline+ yesterday, but I’m really enjoying it! Yes, there are times when Taylor is busy, but overall it can be really flexible to your schedule. Including parts whenever he goes to sleep, I assume it’s real time-either the next day or in 8hours or something, but still, it’s an amazing game! I like how it’s actually interactive then rather just Taylor sending messages and “talking to himself(or herself?).” If this was any type of game—preferably something like a Nintendo, Xbox, PlayStation, etc.—I would for sure play it. And even more so, I can install these games on my Apple Watch! Even if I don’t have my phone on me, I can still play Lifeline on my phone. Since this was a free Apple Arcade game, of course I installed it. However, I would plan on purchasing the other games! Definitely recommend to people who enjoy sci-fi. And props to the developers who made this game for us to enjoy. ✓ Alright, first time rating an App.As a book writer and daydreamer who loves stories, and spends ALL my spare time dreaming up fantasy scenarios, this. Was. Amazing. I instantly loved Taylor. His humor, yet openness had me connect with him so fast. He feels like a real person and has a strongly built personality! I loved that this game was all in real time, so when the sun goes down, Taylor goes to bed and won’t contact you again until the morning. If he says the walk will be about an hour long….he’s not contacting back until an hour later. It was so much fun and had me checking my phone for his texts constantly! I really hope that they come out with more stories. But until then…I think I’m gonna pay the extra 3 bucks and buy Lifeline: Silent Night for more Taylor. But I realize that’s a core mechanic to the game and it’s what I signed up for so I can’t fault it for that. Edit: I just beat the game. Definitely worth picking up, but took away a star for two problems that I experienced the whole way. First off, when a lot of chats come in, each new chat scrolls down so it’s hard to read if you’re distracted or just slow. You’re better off waiting for all the chats, try not to read anything too important at the end and read it all after they all come in. Secondly and most annoying, if you don’t have the app open then each chat is a new notification. ✓ Save Taylor!First time through the story progresses in real time so there’s going to be long gaps between conversations. It says before you start that the story will take several days and it means it. Once you’ve completed it there’s the option to skip the waiting so you can go back and explore the different choices and outcomes. I played the whole series a few years ago and really enjoyed it. I got attached to Taylor as a character and in a way the wait for a reply got me more invested in the story because it gave me time to ‘worry’ about them. ✓ Fresh take on a classic genreGot this game because the whole premise intrigued me. It’s not exactly a “choose your own adventure” style game. Like the classic games of old. But it isn’t too far from it either. Almost seems, in todays tech, like you may be speaking to an AI, though your responses are not really your own and limited to two per question. But you don’t just rampage through the game either. Like the “guy you’re talking to” takes breaks and sleeps. So hours can go between when you can actually play it. Except the cool part about this is the main character interacts with you (and if you enable notifications like you are supposed to, it’s like getting a text from them). I really like this game a lot. For people considering this game: 1. Do not play this if you are an impatient person that doesn’t like games with downtime. This game has downtime. You will absolutely not like it. 2. Do not play this game if you are the kind of person that needs to play a game full speed and finish the whole thing in a day. This moves in real time, *so there is waiting*. ✓ So good!There's so much about this game that I loved. The fact that it was so heavily story-driven is easily the best feature of the game. You don't get to make a lot of choices that really make a difference but at least you feel like you're making a connection with Taylor as you work through his problems together. One thing I really liked was the ability to rewind to a decision and replay from there. I feel like this was a smart feature to include because you can take make a riskier choice but still have a sort of safety net if things go wrong. The epilogue is a little strange to be honest, since it feels like it's only really going to go one way, but I do feel like a sequel could be great so long as the same sort of "story unfolds before you" approach is taken, which is often quite difficult to pull off in a sequel..Version: 1.0

✓ Definitely a cool way to pass timeI enjoyed the game and the option to speed things along once you get to the end. When I went back I found that some options will lead to the same outcome no matter which you choose. That kind of makes me feel like a toddler holding a controller that’s not even plugged up to the game. ✓ AMAZING but…It is an amazing game it is beyond what I thought it uses real time like it is a real out of this universe conversation it’s got some good story but…You need to make more story lines like it’s not always Taylor say if you die you restart and it’s a person named John and they are trapped on a dark planet where you can barely see or Kim who is just lost in the middle of space and can’t track a planet for light years (distance term) or if Taylor dies but sometimes another person or thing picks up the phone and if thing it talks in a unknown language or if someone have them say something like “We’re alive!” And the three dots pop up indicating they are typing but the message doesn't get through until like 3 hours later where they get back in signal and say something like I’ve been trapped here on *blank* and have them explain showing that they know more like we crashed because we didn’t know that this planet had a stretched gravitational pull and pull the story further but of course it has to end eventually but do you see what I mean when there could be more to this..Version: 1.0
✓ Mind, BLOWN!I decided I needed a new game and that I should get it from the “arcade” section to get use out of it…to my surprise, the very first game that showed up was THIS GAME! I remember when Lifeline first came out some years ago, and maaaaaan I fell in love with it. Text based, yah, but it hit all the nostalgic points and actually kept you interested and “worried” on how Taylor was doing and when he’d check back in. But when i unlocked the bonus story i got confused because i thought that the reason they chose the name “Taylor” was because it was a pretty gender neutral name so that the player can decide what gender they want taylor to be. But when you unlock the bonus story once you finish the game, the new character you meet, mel, calls taylor “he” and in my opinion that defeats the purpose of having the name taylor. ✓ Why remove the Apple Watch app?The game itself is fantastic. I’ve played through most of the Lifeline series a few years back, and it still holds a dear spot in my heart. What I don’t understand, however, is why the Apple Arcade version doesn’t have the Apple Watch companion app that the regular version has. The Watch app was a really clever addition that played to the advantages of the portable nature of the Apple Watch and was considered the best game available on that platform. I assume it’s because Apple Arcade wasn’t made with the Watch in mind. Unfortunately, this reads as a missed opportunity to highlight the best of Apple’s platforms..Version: 1.0
✓ Great but could improveI really liked it, and was super invested in the plot. Of course the waiting was dry but whatever, they included a fast mode so there are ways around it. But the biggest issue for me is that you get forced along a path. With no context, I was sitting there thinking why in the hell taylor would want to go to a mountain instead of stay with both ships which have power food and meds. Like there was no reason to leave. My second big gripe is with the bonus. Such an unlikable person, and your choices don’t matter at all. I told her to leave, I told her to stay on the ship, I told her that there were evil aliens, but she didn’t listen to anything. Choices meant nothing.Version: 1.0
