Lovely Game but IssuesI love this game, so glad to have a reason to dive back in. There does seem to be a bit of a bug that when I select the extra content I don’t get any of it but when I select no extra content I get some of the extra content but not pilot abilities….Version: 1.0

A real gameHaving loved FTL this was on my wishlist and I applaud Netflix for supporting this excellent game. If you’ve had your intelligence and imagination eroded by freemium advert-riddled lazy exploitative apps, do yourself a favour and try this complete, balanced, challenging, satisfying, well-crafted tactical feast.Version: 1.2.85

Let me listen to podcasts, kthxI love this game, but I’m not going to play it if I can’t listen to any music or podcasts while doing so..Version: 1.0.1

I’m happy! Thanks Netflix! Brilliant move, wonderful game. Great job my favourite version of the game.Version: 1.0.2

Finally on mobile!!!It’s one of the best games I’ve played on the switch and it’s finally on mobile! Highly recommend for turn based game lovers!.Version: 1.0

Sooo good!OMG so good been waiting for this one to hit. As good as I hoped for!.Version: 1.0

The Greatest Strategy Game of All TimeCan’t overstate how many hours I’ve put into this one. It’s a testament to how elegantly this game is designed that even on a phone screen, it doesn’t feel compressed at all. Like others, I kinda wish it wasn’t tied up with Netflix, but whatever. Still a miracle to have it on the subway..Version: 1.0.2

Literally perfectI think I’ve played 1500 hours of Into the Breach across multiple platforms and the mobile one is flawless. Play it on Unfair mode for a daunting but rewarding challenge.Version: 1.2.91

Great turn based strategy/puzzle game with roguelike elements! As with FTL, the first game by this developer, this is now the third platform I'll play this on incl Switch and PC. The mobile interface works well as the other platforms already had touch as an option. I love the gameplay even though it can be punishing but there are good difficulty adjustments. Really wish this would save progress between iPhone and iPad or even cross platform saves from the existing Steam version would be the cherry on top!.Version: 1.0

Add a campaign for the bugsIt’s awesome and fun but you really should make it so that we can play both sides. I mean you just drop us in to fighting these bugs I mean, we don’t even know what happen or when they came or why they came. So can we pls have some back story on the bugs. I would really appreciate that, or P.V.P, that’s all..Version: 1.0

Good, but no cloud saveGreat game. Frustrating though that by signing in with Netflix and choosing a profile, I can’t carry my game save from my iPad (when at home) and phone (when places that aren’t home). Can this be added via Netflix account or iCloud please?.Version: 1.0

Strategy MasterpieceBeautifully balanced game by the makers of FTL. Rules are simple to learn but tremendous complexity of outcome emerges from the different combinations of abilities, enemies and environments. Wide variety of weapon types, pilots, squads and achievements make for great replayability. I’m currently replaying with each squad on the highest difficulty level. Most attempts I fail but there’s just enough randomness in the weapon upgrades and pilots that are presented on each attempt to allow me to squeak through but only if I get the strategy just right..Version: 1.2.85

A pure gemFirst: Humm, a netflix app... Second: Looks old school Third: Very very few text and you can skip training Fourth: Ultra radical gameplay and you lose you character when it dies Five: 10,20,30 tires at "unfair" mode and i still want to try and try again. Congratulation on a very impressive game, well done. Dr.J.Version: 1.0.1

Love itOne of the best games to play on ipad.Version: 1.0

I love this game, but not the Netflix chainsI totally get it — Subset probably got a nice chunk of change to keep their business going. As a consumer and someone who wants Subset to keep making games and be successful, I think it was a good business move, but I would much rather buy the game outright (again <3) without Netflix involved (no shade on y’all, I’m glad Subset got a piece of that pie) in order to play it whenever I want on mobile and to help support the devs while not needing to have to another party and account involved..Version: 1.2.85

Perfect port to IPadSimple review.. Chess+mechs with a hint of roguelite. Lots of new squads to unlock which makes play throughs very different to your last one. Works super well on iPad! 5*.Version: 1.2.89

Stunning gameplayPlayed the heck out of this on PC and always wondered why there wasn’t a mobile port . Found out Netflix does games by accident and homed in on this and it’s my new daily game. No micro transactions or stuff to buy. Just a great tactical game with huge replayability.Version: 1.0.2

Fun game but…It’s fun strategy in a sort of Pacific Rim world -better description of units abilities while in the middle of a match -Needs a better tutorial on how upgrades work -stop muting sound from other apps. I like to listen to my own music when playing games and it just muted it every time even with sound turned down in the app.Version: 1.0.1

One of the best strategies finally arrived on iOS!Was waiting for iOS version since the release. Finally its there. Plays great, have additional content. Recommended!.Version: 1.0.1

Great with one issueAnd so is the other game by the Subset Games FTL, Netflix added their account screen whatever idc the original game is still great. My only problem is it pauses my audio every time i play, yeah i get it the game has music, but let me listen to my own if I want, if this gets fixed I’d give it 5 stars easily.Version: 1.0.1

Runs greatEverything works great for me! Been a fan of this game since it first came out on PC. I’m very excited for both the new content and being able to play it on the go..Version: 1.0

One of the best strategy gamesThis is one of the very best strategy games on iOS. A must play for fans of Fire Emblem and XCOM. The sound is fantastic too. Thanks Netflix! One request: please add iCloud sync between phone and iPad (even better if the file is compatible with Steam)..Version: 1.0

One of the best strategy games ever madeThis game is near-perfect in every way. Elegant, concise, and challenging. It loses one star due to it being limited under Netflix, preventing everyone who have been clamouring to play it on iOS and iPadOS, but have decided to stop wasting their money on the subscription service..Version: 1.0

Great port with not so great accountAmazing game made even better with the advanced edition content. Really hate the Netflix games addition, you are unable to start the game if you have no service/wifi since you can’t login to your stupid netflix games account. I would understand the login for the first time you start it, but every single time you start up the app you need to be in wifi which was very annoying for me when I was unable to do so for a week while traveling. Super hope this exclusivity is timed I would much rather pay $20 for a single purchase like FTL.Version: 1.0.1

Kaiju Chess! This is a really good game if you like roguelite tactics games. Unlike other random/luck based games, you can plan your moves out perfectly and not worry about your “95% to hit” moves whiffing more often than you think. Works great on my iPhone XS. I suspect the review saying it has an error on launch is due to it releasing earlier than expected. I had that error before too but it’s working now. You’d have to really like the genre to get a Netflix subscription just for this game, but if you have Netflix already I can recommend it pretty well.Version: 1.0

Almost perfect game!I really love this game. The gameplay, the graphics and the mechs are amazing. The only thing that could be better was if we could see how much coins each quest gives..Version: 1.2.92

Great Tactical GameThe combat is clear and the turn based strategy is really easy to understand but hard to master. There’s just so many units to choose from that the repeatability of the game is stellar. Well done, I’ve been playing it for months and it’s still just as enjoyable..Version: 1.0.2

Great gameGreat gameplay, glad it’s finally mobile. The only thing that would make it better would be if it could be purchased outright without having to go through Netflix..Version: 1.0

Incredible depth, perfect fit for phoneIf someone had told me years ago that Into the Breach was a game where you distill the most interesting, brain teaser strategic turns late into the heart of a chapter in Fire Emblem and ensure all battles are only those epic turns, I would have purchased this game years ago. I missed it then but I’m loving it on my phone now. Controls feel good, the music reminds me of the beautiful tones from playing FTL so many years ago. I can’t believe I slept on this game, I’m going to pay attention to this dev more, big fan..Version: 1.2.88

A superb port of an excellent tactics puzzlerEver since Into the Breach released on PC I wished for an IOS port. It’s small scale campaign and short battles made it a perfect fit for the platform. An excellent port of FTL, Subset’s previous title, only made me more hungry for another excellent game for my tablet. It’s been a long wait but it was worth it. The game itself is a 180 to what FTL was - there is little to no RNG here - all enemy moves are telegraphed, and results of players action are guaranteed. All that is left is to figure out what the player has to do. Unlike most tactics game, ItB revolves around defence, and that opens amount of choices player can make - killing an enemy is desirable, but moving enemy around, delaying spawning of incoming enemy, or tanking a hit with your unit are all valid and necessary solutions. The downside is that I found the game to be less repayable then FTL and while still an excellent title, ItB doesn’t have the “story generator” aspect. Still, lots of fun to be found here. If you have Netflix you owe yourself to give this one a go..Version: 1.0

One of the bestIncredible strategy game with a meaty amount of content, and a perfect mobile experience. I sort of wish I could buy it fully rather than pay a sub for it, but the developers suggest it might never have happened without Netflix (who are putting out some good games!). Recommended!.Version: 1.2.88

Perfect but could use some tweakingThis game is literally EVERYTHING I could’ve wanted in a game don’t get me wrong it’s a long game if you want to get a 100% run but I mean it’s worth it for me but there are some problems for instance there should be way more teams or achievements to get and the coin system I understand but there are some that are almost impossible to complete so you gotta know which ones to pick before you buy them but overall great game.Version: 1.2.91

Brilliant strategy gameWorth having Netflix just got this game. Loved it on the PC and just as good if not better on the iOS version. As it is turn based it works really well playing in short bursts and playing on the go works perfectly too. Compliments to the devs as the balance is spot on. Can’t wait to see what they come up with next!.Version: 1.0.1

Core game is brilliant. Netflix?I'm only the second person to write a review - and the first was a one-star that couldn't get it to run on an iPad. So I wanted to quickly post a good review to avoid bombing (although I haven't been able to get sound working - I expect quick patching). My five-stars is based on the ORIGINAL game, which I've played over 100 hours on Switch. It's already a deep tactical game, with a great atmosphere, compelling game loop, a fun variety of units and enemies, and constantly interesting choices. If they've added more units, enemies, environments - and upgradeable captains - then I can't wait to dig into all the advanced content. If you're looking for thrilling experiences like XCOM, Mario Rabbids, or Fire Emblem... This is a worthy addition to your turn-based strategy collection!.Version: 1.0

Best tactics game everLoved the PC version. The mobile port is excellent. One weird quirk that took me forever to figure out: the game has no sound if your phone is on silent mode. I don’t know of any other app that works this way. Why do I have to turn on my ringtone in order to play with sound?.Version: 1.0.1

Long time fanI unlocked every original squad on PC, and am looking forward to tackling the new content there! I’m also looking forward to rebuilding my save file on mobile… wish me luck with the Secret Squad!.Version: 1.0

MoarJust waiting for FTL now.Version: 1.2.89

Dangerously addictiveEverything in this game just make sense - every game mechanic works to complement each other. I’m playing on an IPhone SE and some times I have a hard time selecting my units but it’s not a big dead. I have 80+ hours on the switch versions.Version: 1.0

Great gameAwesome game and audio issues have been fixed :).Version: 1.2.85

Go figureI wouldn’t have guessed that the true purpose of a multibillion dollar streaming juggernaut was to enable me playing this game on my phone but there you go. The most value added to my subscription since great British bake-off..Version: 1.0.1

One of the greatest strategy games of all timeFrom the makers of FTL, into the breach is one of the best strategy games ever made. It’s a turn based tactics game, with a twist that you know what your enemy is going to do before they do it, and you have to react. And it has controller support! (Although I would appreciate if the controller support badge was added to the App Store so my backbone app would stop complaining).Version: 1.0

Great for strategy fans!I first played and fell in love with this game originally on my Switch. When I saw it was available on my iPad with a Netflix subscription I downloaded it immediately. I was weary about whether or not the controls would translate well and if it was an accurate port. Well to my surprise not only is it nearly identical to the console version but the game actually controls better with touch only controls! So much so that I now prefer to play it here rather than on my console. If you like turn based strategy games like Fire Emblem you will absolutely not be disappointed! The game is jam packed full of unlockable content via an achievements system and it’s incredibly addictive trying to get every single one. If you’re considering it enough to read the reviews then you owe it to yourself to try it out..Version: 1.2.85

Five Star Game with one annoying bugInto The Breach is a top 50 all-time game for me but being unable to play music/podcasts while you play the game is beyond frustrating. Play it on Switch or one of the other platforms..Version: 1.0.2

Shame it’s locked to NetflixBeen waiting forever for this port, and it’s absolutely phenomenal! But I don’t maintain a Netflix sub when I’m out of things to watch and I’d love to not lose access to this absolute gem of a game. Please, let me just buy it..Version: 1.0.2

AmazingNetflix Thank you so much for making this possible. Amazing game with perfectly ported interface. Shout out to subset games for making this tactical masterpiece. What took you guys so long to get to iOS? This is like the perfect mobile touch screen game..Version: 1.0

Surprised it isn’t played moreWas confused when I saw that it wasn’t editors choice or even top ‘x’ for strategy, it’s fantastic and also I think it’s underrated too.Version: 1.2.89

Best roguelike/puzzle gameThank you so much for bringing this to mobile. Now, I can play this on the go! The controls on mobile are very intuitive and reliable, no bugs or crashes yet. I you like the game on PC or planning to try it, no reason to think twice!.Version: 1.0

The wait is overEasy 5 star! This game was great on pc and was just screaming to be played on mobile devices. Now let’s see if Netflix can make some more good choices with what games they bring to the service. My fingers are crossed for frostpunk..Version: 1.0

Running fine on my iPhone 12 MiniThis is one of my favourite games. So glad Netflix threw money at this to make more of it. Would I have preferred a premium purchase? Absolutely. But I’m just glad I can finally play this on mobile. Uninstalling every other mobile game I have..Version: 1.0.1

Great port, but lack of cloud save is disappointingThis is a great port, and it runs perfectly on mobile, but I was disappointed to play a while on my iPhone, switch to iPad, and see that there was no save. Maybe it was a little presumptuous, but I expected cloud sync. I hope they add that eventually..Version: 1.0

Easy 5 starsInto the breach is one of my old favorites so I figured I’d try it out since it was free. Surprisingly, this mobile port is actually excellent. The controls are responsive and well implemented. I havent tried out the new stuff yet since I’m starting over with a new file, but what I’ve seen so far is as good as ever. This may well replace my switch as the way I interact with into tge breach..Version: 1.0

Five star game, four star executionInto the Breach is an amazing game, and the controls of this mobile port are well-realized BUT The lack of any sort of option to load the game in airplane mode or without a network is a glaring omission. I get Netflix only wants current subscribers playing the game, but at least have it be able to handshake once a week or day so that folks can play without a network for a while. Better still would be an option to pay once to get the game, like on Switch or PC, but Netflix gotta Netflix.Version: 1.0.1

Great turn based game, needs some mobile updatesFantastic game, but for a game on iOS it needs some updates like cloud saves and the ability to listen to your own audio while playing (I do think the soundtrack is very good, but for the amount of time I put into the game, I would like to listen to my own music and podcasts)..Version: 1.0.1

A great port of an incredible gameThe PC version of Into The Breach is easy to get the hang of and hard to turn off. FTL is great, and the iOS port is fantastic, so my hopes were high when this was announced and it’s exactly what I wanted. Well done guys, I can’t wait to see what’s next from you!.Version: 1.0

One of my favorite casual games.Love Into the Breach, so happy it's on IOS now. Very replayable game with a lot of different playstyles and strategies possible. Well adapted for mobile, UI functions well and I encountered no bugs in 30+ games. My only note would be that players who haven't played on other platforms might not realise how XP distributes on non-mech kills without the visual cue, or that chooisng a new pilot loses the current ones XP/lvl..Version: 1.0.2

Excellent on iPhoneGreat port of an awesome game. Works well and looks good. Thanks Netflix.Version: 1.0

Solid game with minor technical issuesGame is engaging, haven’t had a chance with the advanced content yet though. Currently the app crashes when i try to resume it after some time, otherwise the port is solid..Version: 1.0.1

Hard but goodThis is an outstanding game made by outstanding developers but i question Netflix’s choice to include it in their platform as it is not friendly to casual players. It may look simple but it’s a very complex game that is not entirely intuitive. If you are a causal player or new to the genre, keep that in mind, be persistent and start on easy mode.Version: 1.2.88

Incredibly refined and challenging strategy puzzlerChess like strategy with Mechs and Kaiju..an absolutely brilliant game and amazing pickup for Netflix to support. Whoever at the big N was behind this decision knows what they are doing. Definitely has me paying attention to their moves in this space now..Version: 1.0.1

Great gameDon’t delete if game isn’t loading before you try connecting to Wi-Fi 🙄 also don’t start playing on toilet, your legs will turn to static and you will get at least one hemorrhoid..Version: 1.2.90
