✓ Grass Stains on my knees and dirt on my hands!And…I’m still on the couch! This app has become my only addiction since the long-ago beginnings of FarmVille. Garden Joy truly is a joy and is a way for this disabled lady to create beauty once again. If you enjoy gardening, colors, and making something lovely from almost nothing pre-set…this is a must have! ✓ I really like this gameMy only issue is the game resets before you reach your maximum gifting bonus at the end of seven days. I have been on the game for weeks and every seventh day players are supposed to receive the larger bonus, which is cumulative for daily play. On the fifth day the bonus is reset, and will not allow to go beyond day five bonuses that is very disheartening and to be honest, I may stop playing simply, for that reason I love the fact, there is an option to join a real world treeplanting initiative through this game. However, if it’s going to not follow, it’s bonus policies I get a real disingenuous feeling and don’t want to be a part of playing..Version: 1.18.20

✓ Fun but…I really enjoy this app. The only issue I have is that the rating of designs is confusing to me. There are designs that are rated 5 stars but are hideous and don’t seem to fit what descriptions say for the landscape. I don’t know if there is a starting number that is given based on the choices that is assigned by the app and then our voting is added or subtracted to that number or if the star rating is based solely on voting. I have seen designs use huge trees with large root systems as trees on rooftop designs and get high ratings. This is not possible. I know it’s a game but I thought the point was to use plantings that are able to thrive in whatever place they are being used. I have seen accents that are used that do not go with the decor at all and they get really high ratings. I feel like sometimes the high ratings are just because all of the extras are being used even if they do not go along with the design. If this is the case then it’s just so the developers can make more money. I have bought a couple of extras but I’m not going to do it just do I can add extras to get higher star ratings when I don’t think the extras are adding anything to the design. I wish I could be told exactly how the star ratings are calculated. If it is solely by voting, I would like to see the actual accounts that are giving high and/or low ratings to my designs..Version: 1.23.21

✓ Wonderful but super super glitchy gameI can’t tell you how much I love this spectacular game, but it is beyond glitchy. I will click an item to place it and the game can take several minutes to load the item. Support places the burden on the user with suggestions that do not help, even when you spend real money in the game, and don’t even offer free gems to compensate for your trouble. I absolutely adore this game but it takes every ounce of my patience to actually play it..Version: 1.18.20
✓ Diamonds for everythingI actually do like this game. It’s fun designing different gardens for different climates. There’s a couple things I would change. Too many items are diamonds only. I understand some, but not all. I can never get a carpet, because they are diamonds only. Ridiculous! Fountains - diamonds only. The other is the clubs. Why can’t we start clubs? Also, their app is messing with my screen’s brightness. My screen will spontaneously get darker for a while and then brighten up again. I hope it is not causing damage to my iPad! ✓ Love this game so muchOf all the crap out there, with numerous ads and scams, this is a refreshing find. Love playing this game and seeing what I can create. I wish there were easier ways to win diamonds though. Diamond—other than the gifting tree—are only gotten thru purchases or taking surveys…either way is not my favorite. ✓ The best design game availableI played most design games and it’s always the same: you have to play little games within the app to get enough diamonds or special money. It’s always filled with ads and the graphics are clunky or lacking variety. This game is SO much fun and easy to use. They give you diamonds and enough money to buy nice items. There are no ads, no in-game puzzles and the graphics are top notch. I do wish there was a subscription to give you access to all items in the catalog because I pay money here and there to have diamonds and they go by fast. I would love to have the option to have music available in the game. Something ambient and relaxing or spa inspired. Otherwise, it’s a great game and so relaxing ✨.Version: 1.18.20
✓ Loving almost allI have never written a review about a game before but here goes. I am obsessed with this game, and I am having the best time doing it, but I have to agree with Survivor Maggie. Every time I’m given a location I google what grows there. Doing the research is fun for me and I’ll keep doing it but it doesn’t seem to have any bearing on the scores. It feels like I could stick a palm tree in Alaska and it wouldn’t matter. BUT other than that, I’m loving this game!.Version: 1.26.22
✓ Beautiful, I just wish there was moreI LOVE this game. It is sooo beautiful and relaxing. I love all the pretty plants and making things pretty. Everything about it is perfect, except one thing: there’s only one level (one garden) every four hours or so. Sometimes more! I wish there was a key system like in “design home” ( which is essentially the same but for indoors and much less pretty) where you earn keys as you vote on other’s creations and once you get so many you can pick and choose from a seemingly endless list of options. It keeps me more engaged, like I can really sit and play for a while while watching shows. It’s so much more fun that way. This feels like I’m constantly chasing the game which ends up giving me more anxiety than relaxation and it’s really truly taking away from the beauty that is this game. Please please please release more designs more often. I would even be buying more if I had more to play because I would be running out of resources! I want to play so much that I have no resources left . I want to binge 😆 I want to spend my evenings making beautiful gardens and watching comfort tv shows. But you’re really holding me back here. ✓ I’m in love!I had never played a game quite like this one before. Yes, of course, I’ve played the multiple choice decorating games but I’ve never had to choose each item on my own. Select the colors, styles, materials, etc. and I’m so pleasantly surprised because I’ve found that I’m not half bad with my choices. I’ve received a few scores that were lower than I expected but I’ve received many PERFECT scores too! I find myself looking forward to opening my game everyday! ✓ Fun, creative!This is fun and creative! I love nature, and enjoy looking at the many plants (as well as the other elements) in this game. Designing the yards is a relaxing creative outlet. Also the developers are responsive to questions, which is nice. I’m not at all sure about the scoring - it seems kind of arbitrary. I do like comparing different designs, but am not sure if they’re randomly paired, or if there’s an algorithm. Often I look at highly rated designs and think, why?!? I do wish there was more effort to make the designs match the topic. That said, the only real concern I have with the scoring is that it determines how many more design elements you can acquire for free. This is not a competitive game, which is fine. And I enjoy seeing what others come up with; also seeing the wide range of people who play..Version: 1.26.22
✓ Best game I’ve foundThis game is so great. Challenging yet relaxing. A really great outlet for creativity. Rewards are easy to achieve and you can progress without spending real money. Graphics are excellent smooth play with zero glitches and bugs (for me anyway). Best thing is that you aren’t force fed ads. I had been searching for a gardening game and every one turned out to be something else ( like matching or merging). An ad for this game popped up on another game and I downloaded thinking that I was going to just immediately delete it because it wouldn’t be as it appeared in the ad but it is actually more than what I had expected. My only complaints are that I wish they had more challenges because I always complete them and then have to wait all day for any new ones. I also love the voting aspect, not so much a competition, and you get to see other people’s creativity and style- so cool. I also didn’t mind paying a little for some of the special decorations, I mean the artists do need to make a living ! But I’ve never felt squeezed or like I had to pay to play. ✓ Better than Covet Fashion and Design HomeThis game is fun, but also relaxing. I’m not even a big plant person, but I’ve been really enjoying the creative aspect! I really appreciate that there isn’t a “ticket” system like there is for similar games like Cover Fashion and Design Home, so you can enter events right away without having to vote in a bunch of rounds each time, and you’re able to get enough coins to buy the necessary items for each event pretty easily even without spending real money, which is never the case with other games. ✓ I don’t write a lot of reviewsBut I’m here to say that I really enjoy this game. It’s all about design rather than playing side games to receive coins and diamonds. You get the coins by voting (which getting a good rating is the whole point of designing) and designing, and the diamonds you receive through leveling up, getting a rating of 4.0 or higher, and simply signing in once a day. I appreciate that you don’t have to watch ads and play a ton of mini games. Oh, and every level is super customizable, unlike a lot of other design games that only give you a few options. Lots of new options come with level unlocks with the ability to purchase using fore-mentioned coins and diamonds..Version: 1.21.39

I enjoy every part of it especially learning about what plants grow in what climate conditions and just paying attention to what they pair nicely with is fun too. It actually has proven to me that I should consider taking this more into my real life. This game is lots of fun and I personally enjoy learning a little about the plants too. All that the plants they include are all real species. I like also that you don’t have to buy anything for this game to play. I don’t mind purchasing a game I like, but in some other games it’s almost as if you get to a point where you can’t play anymore unless you buy something. This one’s a keeper for me. ✓ I love this gameI’ve been playing for about seven months now, and founded a small Facebook fan club for the game called Another Garden Joy Fan Club. We admire one another’s designs and talk about what we like. There’s some talk about real gardens now and then, too. We players asked for more round rugs and got them, so I know the devs listen. And remember that one time (I’ve only seen it once so far) when we could choose a pot and then a plant to put in it? I liked that. There are a lot of cool pots in the category. They’d also be fun to use empty as ground decor. I also want the rectangular rugs to go a logical direction consistently..Version: 1.25.19
✓ Fun & easy way to learn about landscape plants & designsThis game is all about landscape designs. The daily challenges have no design requirements but the others do, which focuses the design colors or theme. You get feedback on submitted designs because the way to earn coins is to vote on a series of designs. All the plants have an info button & The Spruce provides the info. You don’t have to use it but this was my biggest draw as I wanted a fun way to identify landscape plants that I liked IRL. It is free & there is a way to earn both coins & gems but it’s hard to get perfect 5.0 score without spending a little money. They do put the designs of people with a similar experience level together and there is a way to vote for both designs if one isn’t significantly better, so that is totally fair. I would rate this game 5 stars if club members could talk to each other & if I could see what club mates used of my inventory like I can see who used my whatever. Just curious, using inventory in this way doesn’t actually use up anything and this is in fact a wonderful feature..Version: 1.25.19
