✓ AwfulI’ve downloaded this twice and the first time I was able to at least hatch the dragon and do some things with it, but not a lot. The second time I downloaded it, it wouldn’t even go to the “hatchery”, just showed Sparks and smoke and an obscured dragon face on the screen. There was nothing I could click on, etc. very disappointed….Version: 1.9.0
✓ So many quality issues & glitches!My husband and I both downloaded this app when House of the Dragon came out. It was good to start, but now that our dragons have “grown” to fitting outside of household spaces, this app is really messing up for both of us. When it’s not glitching, the dragon will not come out of the sky due to spatial recognition issues. It seems like the app is having a hard time recognizing certain planes (fence, house) & the dragon won’t ever land & just goes back into the sky. Whenever it does manage to “land”, the app glitches so much the commands no longer work, or the app freezes my entire phone up. Pretty tired of it at this point..Version: 1.9.0

✓ Doesn’t ever work? FrustratingI like the idea of this app but it’s too fickle to use. My dragon gets caught on every single thing and has horrible glitches all the time (shaking, legs/wings not positioning or moving right, walking in circles) and it has no battery saving mode. I also can’t stand that it automatically turns up my volume? Rude! I can see the potential for this to be entertaining but for now I think I’m done trying to figure out how to get it to function properly..Version: 1.9.0

The other problem is the audio commands for the dragons never register correctly and it won’t let you just touch what you want. ✓ Meh…. 🐉I was very excited about this app when I saw the add for it after last weeks episode. I downloaded the app but unfortunately I’m not impressed. My dragon has grown and learned new commands, however when my dragon flies he’s not flying around the sky he just “floats” it sounds like he is flapping his wings and gliding through the sky but in reality he is just in the same spot on my phone. That’s boring. In addition there are no instructions, no goals to achieve, no interactions with other dragons. I’ve only seen one dragon since I started taking my dragon outside and that dragon seemed to fly and move around like what expected but my little boy just stayed in the same spot on my screen. There is nothing to strive for here or do and when I walk around my dragon is on the same spot as well I couldn’t go for a walk because my dragon needs to be in the screen for me to give him a command. The idea is great but doesn’t seem like there was really a test done on the app, it’s as if they were just banking on the name to get as many downloads as possible to receive more funding. Gonna delete. Not worth the space on my phone or battery life..Version: 1.6.0

✓ Not Much To DoWhile I understand this app is fairly fresh and new features could be added along the way; outside of feeding your dragon, and walking it around a little bit, there isn’t much here to keep you playing for more than a few minutes a day. This game burns through your battery like wildfire and I wish there was a way to turn the AR off, similar to Pokémon Go. Though I love the idea of raising my very own GoT dragon, maybe my expectations were a little too high coming into this. Hopefully there is some QoL improvements and additions down the line!.Version: 1.3.0
✓ Not enough there yetI love dragons and the a song of ice and fire world. It would be really nice if this game added anything more than the initial egg choosing and training process. I like the giving commands in Valyrian but it’s frustrating that I have to wait for the game to “teach” me them instead of being able to use whichever Valyrian words from the get go. The AR is really wonky and has my dragon clipping out constantly. It either needs some big improvement or the option to turn AR off and have a background generate. Also when I first loaded the game and chose my egg it bugged out to the point I had to close the app. When I reopened the app it had me choose eggs again, not having the colour egg I’d chosen before. Then when I named it the game chose a completely different and random name for my dragon. Would love for this to be a good fleshed out app with some ASOIAF worldbuilding and dragons in it..Version: 1.9.0

I love GOT like everyone else and I was super psyched for this game— but there is A LOT of both technical and graphical issues here that really need to be addressed and fixed. It’s a very high power running app, more so than Pokémon. Your phone will overheat quickly and drain fast. Dragons are EXTREMELY glitchy. And by glitchy I mean GLITCHY. Sometimes they stretch into very weird shapes, glitch through the floors or into cabinets for example. You can see them a lot of the time. There’s not much to do either than pet it once and feed it a raw piece of meat for it to cook. Very boring and not very interactive. Mediocre 3 score from me. It was a nice concept. ✓ Nope. Pass.This app is glitchy and super invasive! It immediately asks you for access to your camera and photos, to your mic, and your location, and you don’t even get to see if it’s something you want to spend time on, let alone provide that much access to your privacy. I deleted the app, and had to restart the phone because it started to glitch and shut down every time I tried to use the camera. Stay away!!!.Version: 1.9.0
✓ Needs work!The app is glitchy. But it’s new, so I’m willing to overlook that and hope it gets better. But I named my dragon Stargazyr and it changed it to Starhanyra, which is really stupid. ✓ More dragonsI wish that we could get more than one dragon or the dragons can have genders and you can breed them if you have a male and female to get more and other people who have the app you can see their dragons in the world and maybe be able to battle them or something like that because you can’t really do that much beside feed and teach them new trick which is cool but still and also maybe once they get old enough you can make it to where you can like get in the dragon and fly in the air and see different places.Version: 1.10.0

✓ Seems unfinishedThis game does not seem to function at all. I managed to hatch a dragon. It sat in the same spot and did not move or do anything. The AR suffers from severe clipping and minutes after the egg hatched, the game’s data said the dragon was hatched 53 days ago. This product is clearly rushed, non-functioning, and requires way too many permissions to be worth it. Definitely a skip..Version: 1.6.0
✓ Only Made For The Hardcore GOT Fans…Warning just because I don’t have much Good to say about this App doesn’t mean that I think this App is Complete Trash. The Good= The Hand Holding was helpful to a Certain Extent. Next is that Just loved how my entire surrounding was transformed in to a cave for me to pick my starting Dragon. And that’s about all the Good that think of to say for the time being sadly wished there was more I could say about. The Bad= To Start off the Biggest in my opinion, is that I had to Download this App Twice. Because the First time that I Downloaded I had to Wait 9 Plus Hours to use it. And when I could finally use it the next day all I got was an Endless Screen of Burning Ember and nothing else, Pretty but it’s not what I want. And so I had to Delete it and Download it again before I was finally about to use the App. Then next was I think it was just me and it was for just that one time only I’m not sure to be honest, but my Dragon Started Flickering and Phasing in and out as it was near this one table that I happened to be pointing my phone at. Then there is the fact that you can’t use English to give your Dragon Commands you are forced to use the DracARys Language to give your commands. And with the first one I felt I either was trying say the name of that kid in The Fifth Element Film or more than likely Trying to Swear in another Language. Yes the Handholding was helpful to a certain extent but I wish they Held my hand through other parts of the App as well ie the Menu and the like. And finally I feel there should have been a little more interactivity between you and your Dragon. And that’s about all that I could think of to say about the App. Final Thoughts= This App is really not made for me as I’m not one of those Fans that Have GOT everything as in any GOT thing that comes out I’ll either be getting it or I already have. And I certainly don’t know every single detail of GOT much less Win a single GOT Trivia Game. In other words I’m personally not a GOT Ultra Fan. Which is too that I can’t be keeping this App. As ever since I was a kid I always imagine wouldn’t it be really cool to have a Dragon as a Pet and maybe even as a Friend. I even Fantasized about it of course that goes with out saying. But anyways I think this App would be really fun for those for mentioned GOT Ultra Fans. ✓ Love the App but my dragon keeps getting stuck at 27%I’ve had the app for over a month now and my dragon will not go past 27% to the adult stage. Idk if I should try and start over with a new dragon, or hope that it eventually just grows. I’m getting annoyed because I wanna see him full size. ✓ A lot to be desiredAR burns through my battery like dragon fire, causing me to only be able to keep my app open for five minutes at most before overheating my phone and crashing. There’s no actual tutorial either, it’s like “tap, talk, and feed” till your dragon learns one new trick for the day, come back tomorrow. Not to mention, to my fellow ASOIAF readers: the dragons do not breathe same color fire as their scales :( the dragons do look good though their limbs are super flimsy when “walking around” their surroundings. Dear Developers, Please give a toggle to turn AR off into a Westeros-like background setting would be extremely helpful, and a low graphics/power toggle too. Downloaded and hatched my egg yesterday but somehow my dragon is 44 days hatched. He only does one command Mazis. Husband downloaded 5 days ago- his egg hatched 5 days ago and his dragon can do multiple commands. And yes, dragon was brought outside. ✓ Cute but BoringI got this after seeing the commercial following episode 3. I saw articles describing it as very similar to a tomagochi but really there’s not much to do with DracARys. You can pet and feed the dragon but the rest of the app is driven off you doing things, similar to Pokémon go but less involved, just kind of looking around. ✓ Has potential, needs updatesThis app definitely could be fantastic! It’s great to pick your dragon egg and see your little guy grow up. But it needs a few things. For one, we should be able to use a name of our own choosing. Also, it would be cool to turn of AR sometimes and have a Planetos world to explore. Also, some kind of skills tests or missions would be great. It DEFINITELY needs a tutorial! ✓ App Reset After Dragon was 80% to AdultIm am so disappointed👎🏾. Ive been playing this app everyday for the last 2 months trying to grow my dragon to an adult and beyond. Got my dragon to 80% to adult, and today the app reset, a complete waste of my time and effort. Developers is there a way for you to restore my data so I can get my dragon back? This is why there needs to be accounts so that folks dont have to start over if they have a new device or if something’s goes wrong, users should be able to restore their dragon since its takes so long to grow them. ✓ When it doesn’t glitch it’s goodThere’s still quite a few bugs with the AR and the app itself that need to be hammered out before you could call this playable. I can’t even open the “milestones” page in the bottom left hand corner without my app freezing and crashing every single time. The game keeps telling me I’ll find something new for my dragon to eat while outside but no matter how far I walk around, nothing pops up.
