✓ Sometimes it workIt works when it wants to due to connection with Wi-Fi. It will constantly be looking to signal no matter how many devices are connected it still will connect when it wants to. ✓ What’s the point of this app??So I got this app bc my remote isn’t working. I’ve tried new batteries, everything it told me on the screen, even smacking it a few times. Nothing. So I was like “ok I’ll get the app”. Aside from the fact you have to PAY TO EVEN USE THE APP (after the free trial that is only 3 days), you NEED your remote to connect it to your tv! I assume most people downloading this is bc they’re remote doesn’t work (like me) or is lost. Either way, I can’t use my remote to “get an ip” or “debug” or anything like that,so if your phone doesn’t connect immediately and you have no remote then you’re screwed. AND REMEMBER you have to PAY to use this app. Anyways, this is my 13th reason..Willow CBVersion: 1.11

✓ Can’t find my fire stickFirst off it’s a paid app, I was trying to figure it out and apparently I have to pay to use it. Then it said I can use for free if I rate it. I hate apps that want me to rate it before I can even use it. I just gave it a random start rating and then it can’t even find my fire stick. Downloaded a different app and it pops right up. ✓ So SlowThe lag time between pressing the action and it actually populating is absurd. Purchased this app for $40 because my physical remote was draining a set of batteries every one to two days. Although I checked the box to “remember this device” still have to do check the box every time when opening the app…. Here’s the kicker, need to use the physical remote to check the dang box that says remember this device. So I still need the actual remote. It keeps asking you to go to settings etc on your fire stick tv-,the whole point is I’ve lost the remote so I can t navigate through the settings hence why I need the app! Complete waste of time and money, I’m off to try to cancel the free trial, which I expect will be a headache like everything else about this user unfriendly app - including the black text on black background when writing a review. ✓ SO SLOW!!!It took for ever to finally connect app to my fire stick. It lags between when you press the app buttons and the stick performing what you wanted. Each time you press something it takes about a second for the stick to do something. So if you want to move across 10 items on the stick it takes ten seconds to perform all ten items. ✓ What was the thought process?I got a fire tv and remote a while ago. The tv came with a remote. My remote no longer works so I came here in hopes of being able to use it. I find out that before anything I have to pay to use it. I bought the tv and the remote came with it. I WOULD HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO REASON TO BE HERE, IF THE REMOTE DIDN'T BREAK SO WHY NOT JUST BUY A NEW REMOTE!!! Had it been free I would have given it five stars, even if I didn’t need it because it shows that the company respects its users. Instead I’m faced with the decision of getting a subscription so I have to play them all year round or just buy a new remote. If you put more than ten seconds of thought into this then you would see how much of a scam this is.
