Extraordinarily simplistic controls, no ability to create presets, no ability to tweak the tone controls other than an incredibly crude treble – bass slider. Just a substandard experience all around. ✓ Exceedingly rough code for connecting toiPhoneOther reviewers are right—the set-up code is garbage. Even getting a password is hard on the Sony site (deactivate your VPN). Expect to turn off your iPhone two to four times and expect to reinstall app three times—my experience before getting pairing to work and getting app to check my hearing and update hearing aid settings. Sound quality of the buds is much better and louder than my Eargo HiFis. Actual app main software is fine. The charging station is now giving me problems on day 1 with a solid red light not describe in print or on-line. Charger on-off button not working for me—even with 5+ sec push. When I place the buds in they charger and close the lid they still produce sounds in the case. Maddening system with potential. At TOS agreement error generated where app cannot authenticate to utilize tools to operate hearing aids efficiently. Tried on multiple devices and supposed work around offered via help link on app for this exact issue after multiple try's and email addresses used I am returning the devices. ✓ Unpair-able !!!!!!!!!!Just spent 3 1/2 hours of my valuable life trying to pair these hearing aids to the app. I followed the “help” directions to the tee, watched every video made my Sony and the rest of the world available out there and at the end this was one of the most frustrating experiences. For $1300 I don’t think I’ll be keeping this things. Very upset because I won’t even get to experience the hype I felt when I order them I purchased because the brand Sony meant something. The app seems crude for Sony, not enough features particularly not having an equalizer. I own Sony’s WH-1000XM4 Headphones which have great sound, and maybe unfair to compare? ✓ Impossible to pair for hearing controlI purchased these because my hearing is diminished and I believe in Sony products. Unfortunately these are impossible to set up for automatic hearing adjustment. Followed the directions to perfection but each time once I hear the initial beep, the sound disappears and cannot hear any beeps in either the left ear or the right ear during setup.
