✓ Great game with huge issuesThis game introduces a lot of story that ties in with the anime. The characters are beautiful and the customization is great. HOWEVER the loading times are terrible even on a new phone with many pointless delays or transitions. The biggest issue is the cost to summon a character is absurd. For $100 you can attempt the 10x Gacha (the one with the best odds) 3 times. You are guaranteed the character on the 200’th pull (20 10x Gacha’s). That means to get a character for sure you have to spend nearly $700. I would say about 1/3 of my characters required all 200 pulls to get. It gets worse, they release characters 2 or 3 at a time. So if you want all characters you are spending up to $1800 every 2-4 weeks. That does not include other store purchases like more energy or items to level up all these characters. The greed of these developers is absolutely insane. Play this game only if you are well off and love The Eminence in Shadow and want more content or if you are one of the rare few who can enjoy these games for free without collecting most characters..Version: 2.3.0

✓ Love the characters and story hate the upgrade systemI’m probably gonna end up dropping this game because the character upgrade system is a 1 to 1 copy of the Princess Connect Re:Dive system which is hot garbage. I’m super disappointed in Crunchyroll for reusing the worst upgrade system I’ve ever seen in a video game they could have gone with so many other systems that are in other Crunchyroll games but nah man go with the absolute worst one. I really wanted to like this game because I absolutely love the character design but the last thing I need right now is never ending grind burnout. I said it for Princess Connect and I’ll say it here too when I’m done with a character I want to move on to upgrade another character. ✓ Fun gameplay and great graphics but slow AI loadingThis game is fun in it's own way but the AI loading screen is very slow (takes around 15 seconds to transition from finishing a stage to the next stage). There is also no skip functionality regarding the skill animation so you have to sit there and watch the whole skill animation and at two times speed it's still around five seconds per skill. nonetheless the graphics are very well designed and the gameplay is fun where you can auto most of the stages where in some niche situations, you can manual to surpass more difficult stages. My recommendation to the developers is to first add a skip button for the skill animations and then to speed up the AI loading screens, whether it's for leveling up characters or loading between stages; there are so many different loading screens that it really makes the gameplay slow down way too much. For example, from the moment I press start on a stage, it takes 11 seconds until my characters start attacking, and from the moment I kill the last monster, it takes 16 seconds until I can click onto the next stage. That's close to half a minute that I simply just wait to progress per stage (not including however long it takes me to clear that stage). Quality of life is important for players who like their games fun and fast-paced (:.Version: 1.0.4
✓ Drop Rate and CrashingI sincerely can’t express enough how poor the drop rate is in this game. I understand there aren’t many characters yet but a 0.67% drop rate for an Event banner character is absurd. Plus only you’re only given 3 x10 summons for $100? Please fix the money to summon ratio and all the random crashing bugs. They happen to me most often in a summon or during the PvP matches which counts as an auto loss. I mean if someone spent $1000 they’d only get 30 summons. If you spend that on something like Genshin? Each $100 gives you 5 x10 rolls and at 90 you have a guaranteed 5* if you haven’t gotten one yet. In an event banner if you fail to get that character the next round guarantees it. Please be less greedy, this game has potential to be so much fun..Version: 1.1.1
✓ Random GlitchSo there are a few things I wanna address about the game. It’s a generic RPG that takes things from other games. I don’t hate the game in doing so I just wanted the bring it up. The real problem is the glitching that happened with one of the new units: Beatrix. She is unpolished and very glitchy. Her preview for the ultimate freezes at the start, using her ultimate skill in any circumstance crashes the game and don’t even try to set her as your partner. If you do, oh man, you better switch off or else. First red flag is the lack of a Voice Actor, there’s literally no voice to accompany the subtitles. However, if you close the game and attempt to log back in, you’re permanently locked out because the game just CRASHES. And there’s no way to stop it, it’s gonna keep crashing no matter what you do. So me and maybe several others are now locked out of their account just because of a single, buggy, unpolished unit. Great..Version: 1.2.1

✓ It’s a fun game but…. Pay to winThe game overall is fun and the concept is really good. The combo feature added with roles for different characters really adds to the element of the game. That being said, the fact that you have gems (in game currency) and paid gems options really made me hate this game. If you want to have great discount summons and guaranteed SS characters you need to have paid gems, and not the free gems given to you by playing the game. There is a clear and difference and the game gives more to players that pay than those who enjoy free to play. I have played other games where the banner to summon for characters is the same if you pay to play or your free to play. But as good as the gameplay, characters, story etc might be, the game still has issues that have not properly been dealt with since day one, the games continuously crashes out of nowhere, I’ve crashed when loading the game, doing a battle or just when claim a daily reward it’s completely Random. ✓ Great game but…WTF with the update!?As the title says, tbh is is a great game…IF you like the anime and don’t want to read the light novels. But with the update that released as of me typing this, when I go to the Characters screen to upgrade my characters, none of them are there. The only way for me to see them, is in my “team select screen” but even then, if I want to personally edit my teams, my characters still don’t show up. So I’d like to see this fixed, and hopefully soon. Mostly because I got lucky and got one of the Valentine’s Day characters and I do not want to have them disappear. ✓ Too many performance issues.Hello, I am a fan of the series and wanted to get into this game but I have found that there are many issues with the games performance. I currently run iOS 15 but it seems that the game barely can function. I encounter freezing on the loading screens and in game I am unable to select the tabs or any modes as it would just be frozen. I also encounter issues that lead to my game being completely locked on the gacha page with a black screen and cannot exit it even resetting the game. ✓ Fun Game, but rampant CheatingHey there, Love the game so far, p2w aspect could be better overall with either more gem income or less cost to pull on banners. My biggest issue with game is the rampant cheating that has been taking place for the last 2 months. A couple of guilds have been doing max damage on their alt accounts and winning 2 of the 3 top 3 spots. They’re the same accounts doing this, since they have the titles from previous events on the 10k power accounts and the main account. Emailed support and nothing has been done still to resolve this. After deleting and restarting I was able to get back in. Unfortunately it makes me start from the beginning to do the tutorial. Upon completion of the initial tutorial battle it takes me to boost a character. The characters I have acquired earlier through purchase are still there, but it is trying to go through the tutorial process of boosting a character and freezes up on the main character as I have already done it once before. The game has become unplayable and I have wasted money on on a potentially great game that I definitely still want to play. I’m hoping I can get my money back or maybe be offered some sort of fix. ✓ Bad gameplay, crazy banner rate, cheap making money methodAdvantage: - stick very well to the anime then have some good stories for event or quest. - art is ok Disadvantage: - gameplay bad dont allow you to change the team order and not even give a description to let you know which character will go stand where in the team. - some characters will attach your backline even in the skills description doesn’t say anything. - main quest, side quest have the ridiculous number of attack power even if your character higher lv, full equipped, all team power higher than 50k attack power of your enemies. All of that they can still kill you in one shot even your tank have full buff. - gacha rate just show for fun. 150% increase rate character banner and you know what after 200 pulls you still got nothing from the banner. Then you can buy in the exchange shop for 200 pulls for 1 copy of the character. -PVP unbalance the skills say can stun then during the game not even 1 stun show up and ur enemy still stun you couple times. Even your team higher lv ur element stronger against them. They can still stun and wash you like a bug. - pay to win you can pay to use the premium shop and you know what u can buy copy of the character in the banner from farming coin event. Extreme lack in tuna burger opportunities and the pull rates are extremely low for the amount of characters currently in the game. Also the app size says 238mb but with in game data it’s around 22gb and every other week feels like I’m being asked to download an update larger than a gig there has to be a more efficient way of packing this games data. P.S. it feels like I’ve been black listed from pulling gamma I would chalk this up to bad rng if it wasn’t for the fact that when the bunshin festival lists reset it completely reset my banner counter on the blue support Gamma in which I had 6 of the 20 needed whiffed 10 pulls to just outright buy the character. ✓ Please make the gotcha odds more reasonableThe odds of pulling an SSR unit is 3% per pull. There are no guarantees of for the event banners. And at 300 gems a pull, it’s about $3 per pull to get a 1.3% chance of getting the unit you’re actually pulling for. And forget about maxing them out, which you’ll need to pull them several times to do. If you just want to have that unit in your collection, look forward to spending about $200-$300 a month during the events. Maybe you can cut that in half if you’re spending your free gems along with them. The game is fun and the units look great, but the draw rates are completely unreasonable..Version: 1.5.1

They’ve updated the app a few times but failed to fix this problem a lot of people are having. ✓ It’s a good game but needs improvementAs stated before the game is like Konosuba but the difference are wide. Combat, storytelling and the Gacha is balanced and fair. But the constant downloading per epidosde having sub or nonsub seems time consuming and tedious when it should have been done when the players installed the game. ✓ Unbalance and BuggyFirst of the anime is awesome with that out of the way. The game is buggy and unbalanced with some of the main content required for more power then it actually said. This game is not for F2P player as the developer are extremely stingy with gem and stamina as 1 stamina take 10min to recharge and food stamina can not be earn unless you pass a specific part of a story in the game but once you got it and use it it gone forcing you to use gem. The pity system is also very bad with 300gem for 1 pull and 2800 gem per 10 pull with 200 pull as the pity for a SS character. There also multiple banner cross the board and the pity do not carry over and once a new update come you will lost all the pity point you made unless you use the regular banner so be careful if you want to risk it. As for the gem how much you earn in a whole week? If you are playing hardcore as a F2P player you can earn at less just under 1000 gems. And if you are buying gem it about 37USD for 10pulls super expensive but sometime they are some deals and also there are multiple event shop only for P2W player and it also pretty expensive. As for the bug and stuff there too much to list at the moment but once you log into the game the should be a newsletter of bugs they put up that getting fix slowly. Is the game fun? Well yes it is but don’t expect much as a F2P player as this game is clearly for whale who have very deep pockets. Once the anime stop airing I don’t see this game lasting too long. ✓ Please fix your gameSo let me start by saying that this game is fantastic, the combat, the characters, etc, but the game simply has to many issues for starters I quite literally can’t progress the main story as the I believe 2-5 story book area won’t work, I tap on it choose to download voices, game completely crashes closing the app and leaving me on my Home Screen just bewildered, so I load it back up and try no voices same thing, this really needs to be sorted out as throwing myself against a brick wall over and over in hopes that something changes isn’t exactly a ‘fun’ experience, and this game has the potential to be really outstanding so its even more upsetting that silly issues like this persist, many thanks if you read this and I hope these issues can be rectified so I can hop back in. ✓ Ok. Could be betterFun game. Love the anime so this is a nice companion. This game suffers from a huge problem with balance though. You have to be overwhelmingly stronger than your opponent to actually win since the battles are limited to 1 minute. so skill takes a back seat to raw power. The PvP stuff is all automatic but would be nice if you had option to just autocalc since it spends so much time just spamming the attack CGI that after the first few days you’re sick of seeing them. Back to balance, it’s pretty obvious that most people left playing after only the first few weeks have dumped a ton of money into the game. Most people in the matchmaking have three full sets of maxed out characters while I have been playing since day 1 F2P and don’t even have half of one. There are also a lot of bugs in the app that are annoying. It’s too easy to brush the edge of the screen while activating an attack, which pauses the game and causes the battle to hang. That’s been acknowledged for over a month now with no fix, but there have been a lot of content drops so it becomes abundantly clear where the priorities lie. Overall, I’d recommend this game to kill some time in a waiting room or on the john for a few weeks, but I wouldn’t expect to leave this installed for the longer term from what I’ve seen..Version: 1.1.1

Gameplay and cutscenes can be super laggy at times. Besides performance issues, there are a lot of errors in text and missing assets and portraits, found only an hour into playing. Can’t imagine how many more I didn’t find. The side stories are good and if you play the game they do give go some decent stuff. However the rates are still a major problem and it’s not enough to get by. It just will take a while to progress. They are giving out some good stuff during these Christmas and new years events such as some SS units and materials. If they can do more then there might by hope. Also they do sell packs the guarantee a SS hero if you spend 20$ USD or something like that. It’s not great but it’s something for those who aren’t F2P. Some other issues are when you summon it sometimes crashes and you miss out on the summoning and have to check what you got. A fear I have is what’s going to happen after all the holidays and events? Are we just going to be waiting for something? That’s going to cause huge inactivity everything events go away. If they actually read reviews and keep trying to make it better then there is hope. They sell you gem packs that are just short of what you need to summon or purchase an event package. They add a paid shop for events. ✓ Great game if not brokenThe game reaches the point where you’re past 1-5 and it frees you up a bit instead of the forced tutorial. You click to go to the next objective. The gang forcibly redirects you, saying character boosting has been unlocked and opening the character menu with an arrow pointing to the main character. At that point you can click nothing except for the main character; thoroughly tested. When you click the main character, the arrow disappears and the only things you can click are the locked tabs top-left and top-right, both of which say to complete 1-6 to unlock. You can click nothing else, can’t return to the main screen, and can only get out of this by closing and reopening the game. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled twice. I submitted an inquiry about it, to which I’ve received no reply. They had a long maintenance today to add more gacha content, and this game is still UNPLAYABLE and BROKEN. When it’s impossible to play the game without encountering an error that is also insurmountable, it’s considered game breaking. I had high hopes for this game and high hopes for the fact that they had a very long maintenance. Given that I’m stuck, can’t play and therefore can’t earn gems for the TIME LIMITED gacha characters, I kinda don’t even want to play now. Thanks for reading! ✓ Ignore the paid positive reviewsThis game is essentially on giant never ending tutorial with no way to skip cutscenes or story sections that can last up to 25-30 minutes. The little bit of “gameplay” you did get after almost trying to play for over 2 hours is all tutorial with prompts you have to follow and that lasts for about another hour and a half because apparently the game devs think we are stupid and can’t figure out the game without them repeating their explanations and tips 30-40 times every 10 minutes. ✓ Fun but not f2p friendlyAside from crashing issues, summoning is unfair. 2800 gems for a multi but only getting max 50 per lvl. And the game just released so there isn’t that much that you can farm up. I’m already more than half way done with the main and side story but have only summoned 5-6 times excluding the free summons. And since character lvl is based on your lvl you get to a point where your stuck and just have to wait until the next day to get exp from the daily missions to continue through the story. Not only that the game has only been out for less than 2 weeks and there’s already 3 banners that people want to summon on but there’s just barely enough story’s and events to even get to try on all three. What’s the point of playing a gacha game if you can rarely do the main thing that gacha games are for. And I get that there’s not that many characters but it’s still absurd how much you need to summon compared to how much you get. ✓ Misleading Sales PageIf you play the game and intent to spend money on paid gems reconsider it. The sales page in the game is purposefully misleading. The sales page for their in game paid currency is like some other games in that they have one time offers of X paid gems and states you get a bonus of x extra gems. It clearly implies the bonus gems are paid gems and makes no indication otherwise. However the bonus gems are part of the regular currency. ✓ Not ready for globalThe main draw of the game was supposed to be the storytelling, and the English translated text is cut off most of the time, leaving out critical information. The gacha is ridiculously overpriced and extremely not f2p or even dolphin friendly. Unless you have more than $300 dollars to spend on dupes which give an extreme amount of power and cannot be farmed, it is fairly unplayable. What you get for about $99 is an extremely buggy game with forced login mechanics that make you log in at certain times in the day to receive stamina. Crunchyroll does not respect your time or your wallet. Its a shame to all fans of the franchise to be honest. The in game scenes are a direct rip off of the anime. ✓ Great combo of anime and game but BUGGY!!Game has great graphics and all but more importantly it FREEZES too often during initial tutorial and during the main story. Some of the combo finishes don’t completely show the final hit. It will show the action of the characters and the hit graphics but no opponent. The game will literally stop all action for no reason when it is on auto the entire time. Doing one special after another will cause the game to cease all response. I’ve sat for 3-5 minutes just looking at my characters flashing and doing NOTHING. If this was the case then I would prefer tapping and pressing for attacks. I like the game but I hate having to wait and see if the lag will stop and closing the game just to open it and reattempt the fights. Has happened to me 5x since downloading. ✓ Beautiful game but unfair gachaFinally after a few days of patches the game started working. I love the game play and story most of the game modes are fun. The game play heavily leans into the elemental weakness system. One team won’t do it you need to level 5 teams of each element if you want to compete in the events and progress the story. Sadly level resources are limited too 2 attempts daily. I upped the star count from 1 to 2 because even though the game lets you eventually rank anyone from a a grade to an ss grade the game has a serious flaw with the gacha system. As a f2p player I’ve participated in each banner event as much as I’m able but have never seen any of the banner characters aside from buying your way to SS tier the game seems to lock all f2p players out of banner characters. Maybe it’s bad luck but in 8 pulls from a single banner and every attempt is a strike out? If I have no chance to progress then why continue playing. No free banner chances either so either you saved your gems or no banners at all. Definitely a cash grab game..Version: 1.0.7

✓ It is fun, but remember, it is a Gacha gameOk so I’ve been playing Fate grand order for over 2 years and not only is it my first gacha game but also the only one I’ve stuck with. I’ve tried many others and none of them have stuck with me. I like this game because it is fairly simple to understand and kinda easy to play. There is a Way to “ guarantee” at least one SSR by re-rolling the account to try and get the character you want simply by deleting the account skipping the tutorial and doing the free summon till one is happy. And that can take…Time. I wanted Delta and it took me like an hour for her to show up.
