✓ Really fun😃😃😃It is a really fun chess game with a lot of different elements to the game. The game is really good but there are a few elements that are a bit confusing. Nonetheless it is a great chess game, especially for beginners. The game has multiple ways to feel like you are progressing and unlocking new stuff. ✓ It’s okay, but not a big two competitor for chess appsAs an app where you can play chess and get some neat rewards it is fine. The learning part is where it just fails. It’s not that it’s bad. It’s just not guided at all. If you’re a strong player you might get some benefit from drilling them but you’re not going to learn anything. It’s gamified repetition with little to zero actual instruction. Because of that it kind of fails in what it promises. For an arcade included app it’s fine, if you’re an absolute beginner it won’t help you at all. If learning is your goal it’s 100% the wrong app. I would give it three stars but it actually functions very well, very smooth and I didn’t encounter any bugs. Lichess study and chessdotcoms overpriced premium plans are both miles beyond the learning capabilities of this app. Even with it being free I couldn’t recommend it to learners..Version: 1.17.2

This rewards the player with chests, gems and other ways to chart progression, allows you to play online with similar rated players, has solid training levels, and sounds and looks great. Yes there are more po-faced, you tube star saturated, commodified platforms out there, but this is currently my favourite way to play the game..Version: 1.17.2

✓ Looks goodThe design is great and you’re able to personalise it though would be nice if we had a free female avatar unlocked. I downloaded it because I wanted to learn how to play it says it teaches you and it kinda does but not very well. The practice are scenarios where you need to move one or two pieces however it’s not explained as to which or why specifically those ones so while I eventually got all the solutions I still don’t understand why those where the correct ones. I think if you’ve genuinely never played chess like me then it’s not too good for teaching but if you already understand but just new to the game then it’s perfect..Version: 1.18.3

✓ Fun chessThis is a less serious chess app than chess.com I think it’s made more for kids. You can play online or against the computer. There is also a training element with lessons. However it would be perfect if there were some puzzles. Seems to have more about it than the Apple Arcade chess.com app . It also needs to be easier to see where your opponent has moved from.
