Like another review said, you used to get much more progress for your winnings, but now it takes much longer to complete a star! With the recent update changing it from 15 to 60 energy for each play is just ridiculous! Totally taking all the fun out the game and starting to put me off planning! You need to wait so much longer for energy to be restored to play that it gets boring. Also the videos remain at 15 energy which used to be great before as you could get a game out it, especially if you were so close to completing a star, now 15 energy is only a 1/4 of what you need to play one game....it’s going downhill and putting people off. ✓ Overall good game need more ways to get energyOverall I enjoy the game, I personally think we need more energy, if it takes 15 energy every game. Also when you have completed a day and it gives you maximum energy it should add what ever you have left to the energy, overall making the player want to play more to unlock more findings within the hotel. Maybe mini games in side the game (silhouettes or cleaning)!that can earn energy or money. Engaging the player to want to play more. ✓ Great gameI love this game, I play it as much as I can! A few things get me though, such as not having enough time when the words are backward, my partner is getting annoyed at me cause I have a little reading problem so I have to get his help to read this backwards so I would appreciate a little extra time for that, also I didn’t get my gift for completing day 16 which is a bit sad cause I wasted all my lives on trying to pass a triple level, also another thing is because I believe we are in different countries somethings you call are different in mine, so it’s a bit hard to find things, it would be cool that for the first level or two when given new things to find there were pictures before the game started of what they could possibly look like. ✓ Soooo addictiveWhen I first played this game it was great. I was looking for an addictive game to play and I found it with this game. Also this game isn’t hard like the others witch is very good. The other games are so hard that you are stuck on a level for days even weeks which is very frustrating. But this game isn’t like that and I love that. All I’m saying is that when you are playing the game you don’t have to be stuck on one level for the rest of your life, you can get on with renovating the house which is so amazing. ✓ Homescapes but betterIs it kind of a rip off of Homescapes? It is. But it’s so much better. It makes playing it actually enjoyable and it allows me to get my interior design fix. I dislike the randomisation of match 3 while this is so much better and easier especially for a trained eye. I almost didn’t use any of my boosters and hints unless I was very lazy and just wanted the star. It’s a bit of waiting for the energy but I don’t mind it, I switch in between a couple of games and when I come back I can just play. Honestly, it needs some extra polishing as some icons are low quality on bigger screens but the assets and floor layout is pretty good. Overall the gameplay is enjoyable so far and I hope they will keep it this way. It would be a shame if this turns into another micro transactions filled game..Version: 1.1.9

✓ Interesting game, very slow to progress throughThis is a great game, but I would love to know what the items look like that you have to look for and also what opens or moves in the scenes to reveal needed items. It is very slow progressing through the level, you get 110 energy when you start and using 30 energy every attempt in a room, it doesn’t take long before you have no way to continue and you have nothing left to do but leave the game while you energy refills, unless you are prepared to pay your way through.Version: 1.1.26

✓ AmazingI have been playing this game for about two years now and it is fantastic. I love it BUT the only annoying this is that I keep on getting notifications that ruin what is going to happen later in the game. I hope you can fix this because I really wanted to give a five star rating but that is the only this which is sad. However I love all of the hidden scenes and how each one is completely different from every other ones. I have got about five other people into this game and they all absolutely love it as well. ✓ Tried...Can’t even write a review... third attempt.... Graphics good. Keeps freezing when you get going though and forces you to start again. Click on items sometimes doesn’t register even when you have the correct item, you may have to click 3 or 4 times. This game has huge potential. But it needs to be fixed! ✓ My Favorite Mobile Game!!I love this game better than any other game on the app store! There aren't any annoying ads interrupting gameplay, which is shocking for a free app. The only time you can select to watch ads is to earn more energy. They give you an adequate amount of energy to start and you can easily earn more by using free in-game coins instead of having to spend real money (but it's an option too). Another great thing about this game is that it's not one of the typical "match three" games. Instead, you find hidden items in different scenes which is more fun for me and less difficult than the matching games that get more and more difficult to the point where it's so frustrating you want to quit. Over time, the developers have improved the graphics and animations, updated renovation choices, and fixed bugs. ✓ Great but for the upsellingI have been playing for 24 hours and I am really enjoying the game. I love the story and whilst you do use energy quickly, I tend to spend time over a couple of different games and the energy soon builds back up. My only gripe is the constant push to buy starter packs and special offers. So far this is coming up every time I play a room which means in the space of one energy bar I can see the same pop up 11 times! I will occasionally partake of in-app purchases for games I enjoy but I would rather these came up once per game boot. ✓ Great gameFirst of all, I want to say...I love this game! It’s challenging, fun, definitely one of my favorites and I really look forward to playing every day. BUT the most recent update makes it virtually impossible to play and actually make any progress. I was excited to see my energy increased to 480, until I saw that the energy used per round also increased to 60??? What was the point of changing it? At least I could build up enough to play a round after 30 minutes previously , but now it takes 2 hours to get enough energy to play 1 round. And the coins earned each round doesn’t help either. I don’t really see a difference for finding items faster, and the level 9 of each scene is almost impossible without a hint or power up, especially if it’s a silhouette round. Maybe make the energy start off lower in the beginning levels and increase as you level up or something. Unfortunately I can see my play time will be decreasing due to the recent changes 😏.Version: 1.1.28

✓ Not enough energyI enjoy this game thoroughly and have also spent actual money on it which I have with no other game. The only issue I see with this game is you don’t get enough energy, and you don’t get enough coins to purchase the extra energy. I know this encourages people that are hooked to spend money but even with spending money the value of energy is ridiculous; especially when a whole bar of energy gets you like one star. And you need so many stars to complete a day in the game it would take ages to complete . ✓ I love it!!!I could play for hours it’s so good not too many ads aswell!! Some pop up hear and there but overall a brilliant game and great storyline. I’m a relatively new player and I love it so much I have played it everyday since I downloaded it. ✓ My way hotelThis game is addictive, but it isn’t great when you only get one chance to watch a video for some energy bars, if you can watch multiple videos for energy then ok you design the hotel your way, just like with any other game you use a star to open things and if a guest wants a coffee or something, but if you still want to keep playing this game you will enjoy it. Now the energy bar has increased to 480 that is great but some rooms are now 60 bars, the super hard mode is impossible to complete as I cannot progress on with the game as I cannot get the stars, so now I feel like deleting the game, I’ve just opened a new room I got two stars then went on to get another and it became the super hard mode, this is frustrating so the ones I want to play I cannot as they are the super hard mode if the designer lowers the amount of coins you need for a coffee or sandwich then ok yes but to earn 1500 coins just for a coffee that only gives you 30 energy then it is daunting, if it were 1000 for 50 energy for a coffee that is ok, the cobwebs round I love and collect the coins in the round is another one I love they need to be played more often. Some days it just continuously throws me out after about 30 seconds. None of my other games do this. They also keep changing how quickly (or not) you can fill up your energy. ✓ Great game!I love this game. Even though you’re up against timer to find items, I find it strangely relaxing. I’ve read a lot of negative reviews here, but that’s not my experience. I’ve only had one time when game reset and I lost some ‘free’ time. Messaged whaleapp from link in settings part of app, and they were helpful in restoring me. I buy extra game time occasionally, but I like that you can play fine without having to. The group tournaments are good, but although the faq says they’ll remove people from groups who aren’t playing, they don’t seem to do that. So for the devs - if you want 5 star rating, please prune deadwood players from groups. Our supposed group leader in UK GROUP, is on very early progress & has not been seen for months and months, so clearly not playing now. ✓ Don’t ruin itI love this game, I really do. I often end up spending money on it because I really enjoy finding the objects and really really enjoy doing the house up. My only issue is that I fear it’s going down the same route as other games. You’re starting to get less and less for your energy, before you could complete a star with one full energy, you would get about 10/12 per star. Now you only get about 5/6 sometimes even 3/4 so it can often take two full energies to complete one star which is ridiculous. I fear sometimes when a game gets popular the developers get greedy when in fact more people end up spending more money when the game is actually fair and you get somewhere. Value for money. Also I don’t get what the combo points are for? Nothing ever changes. You only ever get 20 or 25 monies and the amount of star completion is always the same whether you get plus 1 or plus 10 on the combo chart thing. I always get plus 10 and still get the exact same as if I don’t get any combo. So what’s the point in it? ✓ Great game but...So I love the game and it’s very addictive! I love the finding items aspect of it rather than it being just another match 3 game. But The energy goes down too quick! You can only get a max of 2 stars (if your lucky) out of 110 energy bars. It makes the same slow. Also it’s a rip off to but more energy/coins the cheapest being £2.99 for 3000 coins. You can’t get any energy for 3000 coins. You need 3900 coins and that only gets you 30 energy bars. With each game using 15 energy and only filling you star up a little you can’t get anything out of this. ✓ It is a fun game, but...It is a fun game- I want to start with that. I have enjoyed having a find the object game instead of a match three game, and this one is challenging but not impossible. Mostly. It takes two minutes to gain back one unit of energy, which doesn’t sound too bad until you realize that you need 30 minutes of real time to replenish one attempt to complete a level. Well, until today when I logged in and it told me that my energy had been increased from 110 to 480, but I soon discovered that levels now cost what appears to be 60 units of energy, so playing through my energy will take the same amount of time but filling up will take much longer. (Is it really going to take 16 hours to fill up energy now? I really will only play once a day, or less, if that’s the case!) I am not paying real money to fill up energy, so I may just play this less. As others have mentioned too, you don’t earn many coins in each level, and you need coins or real money to buy hints. The number of coins you earn doesn’t seem to change if you do better or worse... or at least not enough that I’ve noticed. I do enjoy the gameplay and the story. ✓ Good game, but some issues.I love playing this game. I have played it for a while and have made several purchases to keep me playing when out of energy. I only have two issues with the game First. The amount is cost to get keys or clues cost so much but we earn very little for each scene played. I used to spend money buying those upgrades but stopped after I saw how much was being spent and how little was given normally. The second issue is a current thing Ive just noticed. When the cook or the little girl present the room your about to play and your winnings are doubled or tripled depending on who is presenting the room. I love a challenge but the problem with this is this is started very soon after you open a room. So I haven’t gotten very familiar with a room and then I’m on a super timer to find stuff (three rooms this started on level 3 of each room). The one where the chef presents the room with triple earnings is almost impossible. Seems like more things are added to the list of items to find with very little time. I used to compete in the challenges against other players and would win or come in close to the top all the time. Now I have been stuck on these super speed rooms for over a week and honestly am to the point of deleting the app since I can’t get anywhere. I enjoy the super rooms just wish we had more time to learn the room before they were presented..Version: 1.1.32
✓ AmazingThis game is so much fun to play. i used to play homescapes but the levels got too hard & they make you complete superfluous tasks like opening the front door & talking to someone. thats frustrating to me when i only want to renovate. this game however only gives you renovating tasks like replacing the tables & redoing the floor. anyways i think this game is so much fun & i highly recommend it. update: after playing for about 15 in-game days, most of the tasks that are given to me are about the storyline within the game & have extremely little to do with actually renovating which is EXTREMELY annoying. i may have to delete this game soon if it turns into those other games like homescapes. anyways, i’m very frustrated with the game right now as not much has been renovated within the past few in-game days. i would like to only renovate the hotel, i do not care about the storyline whatsoever. NOTE TO THE GAME MAKERS: please make less tasks about the storyline & more about actually renovating the hotel since that’s what this game is SUPPOSED to be about.Version: 1.1.23
✓ Addictive but let me downThis game is addictive and a lot of fun BUT.. I purchased the starter pack, just to get a bit of a head start.. and it ripped me off my last 8 or so minutes of free energy.. I know that doesn’t seem like a lot of time, but that would’ve been a few more games to be able to gain more stars to continue the story! ✓ Brilliant but......Been playing this daily everyday and really enjoy it but for some reason for the past 2 days it won’t load. Any one else struggling? Please sort it out soon!!! Still struggling even though I have updated it can’t get beyond the first page before it crashes soooooo disappointing as it’s my fav game at the moment😢. Well after reading lots of other reviews it appears there is no support to be seen by the team. Come on play fair people!!!! I recently downloaded some other games and the ad just started playing as soon as I finished a level and I thought what? No way...back to hidden hotel it is! I have deleted every other game app on my phone except this one and one other that is not a hidden object game. Thank you for the changes you’ve made in regards to getting energy more easily. I would like to see the top seeker competition back as well like one other reviewer said. I really like how challenging this game is and although the characters can be kinda lame, there are lots of different types of features that keep it more interesting than the average hidden object game. The only negative is the ads. All free game have ads, but this game is obnoxious with them. Every time you change a screen or finish a game, it pops up with an offer to buy some pack in the game. However, I do appreciate that it doesn’t go straight to ads after finishing a game like some apps do. You actually have to go choose to watch an ad in this game. ✓ Fantastic game!I love this game! It’s everything I like put into a game. When I was younger I loved playing hidden object games. I never really got into it on my phone though cause I felt it wasn’t the same as on the computer. Until this game! It’s like those connecting puzzle games when it comes to upgrading, customizing the layout, and when you wanna change up the theme of a furniture item, it’s pretty cheap. It only costs like 10 coins and you earn 20 each game you play. Which I enjoy even more cause it’s finding hidden objects instead of the puzzles which gets repetitive. When progressing, I don’t see any problems. I’ve gotten pretty far in 2 days compared to Gardenscapes. I’ve played gardenscapes for like a year? I’ve barley progressed to the 4th section!! It makes you use stars on useless things that aren’t related to customizing the layout. Hidden hotel isn’t like that. Yes it does take longer to get a star and the energy gets drained fast. But unlike other games you can use the coins you earn to buy more energy and power ups! Earning coins is easy and the challenges you get can give you up 10k coins! Another thing I like about the game is the storyline. I’m actually interested because it’s mysterious and humorous. The only thing I don’t understand is the percentage for stars. ✓ Really good but...I really like the game and it’s filling the hours that uni is no longer able to, however it refuses to work ‘correctly’. It’s only in the past few days that this has been the case but notification/news boards that flash up on the screen although I can guess they’re supposed to be there and the rest of the screen pauses, the boards themselves don’t actually appear. In addition to this, I can complete a level but instead of the screen where the score adds itself up, the scene I’ve been searching freezes. It’s a shame, because I enjoy playing the app but due to the bugs, it’s becoming a little difficult..Version: 1.1.45
