✓ Bullying on server ruined it for meSadly not as good as Rise of Kingdom. Reason being servers will become quickly dead. I was doing ok until the kill event. It became quickly clear that I will not have enough shields to protect myself and got zeroed. Players from the big alliances systematically went around in groups cleaning out accounts that just started. In main chat people were boasting about how the p2w players from the top alliances can just zero anyone they like and they can just cry about it. Looked like the main three alliances were allies and had to resort to predating on the smaller ones without any consequences. Wow big deal. Game deleted. I have no time or money for competing with narcissistic sociopaths who pay to be able to ruin the game for others. In Rise of Kingdom there was a kill event etiquette because people were smart enough to realise it is in the best interest of every player to have a kingdom, if a kingdom got destabilised by bullies the kingdom quickly died. Shame as this game had a lot of promise. Liked the graphics much better, the events were great and you could advance without having to spend. Oh well..AgibeeVersion: 0.2.178

✓ Customer service 👎The game is great, addictive, and really enjoyable with the right people It definitely feels like they favour or respond to the big spenders in this game, ones that dump over 100k usd, and the rest are treated like cannon fodder and ignored about issues. Trying to get responses from the vip assistants is so slow, and the overall help you receive from issues is non existent, just ‘we’ve had a look and there’s nothing we can do’. But they are more then happy to push packs to be bought and will take your money without question. All the art, story, graphics, and even gameplay, etc. are only there to trick you into spending real money on pretend stuff that can all be stolen by other players. And here’s the kicker…they pit server against server so if you don’t spend more money than the rich bullies you WILL get beat on, and you will never build an army that can compete. 85-90% of players scramble to get on a huge money alliance JUST TO SURVIVE and have an opportunity to play. What’s more is now they have events where these big money players can jump servers. So even if you’re lucky enough to get on a big alliance for YOUR server, all your REAL money, effort, supplies is all a huge waste of time and energy just so some rich bully can get their jollies. ✓ This game was fun until….S1 Server v Server has ruined this game. One group that’s as losing managed to get two others to join an area of the map they should not have had access to. Leaving one alliance and joining so they could build another stronghold in a region reserved for other groups to fight over. Taking 3v1 in this was exploits the time locked gates, and makes it unfair for progression in the way the map intended. This game was great, but with the devs telling my alliance leaders they won’t do anything about it, I won’t be playing anymore. ✓ One Big Massive Cash GrabSo I’ve played Nexus for approximately 6 months or so and it is exactly what you would expect: a cash cow for the developers. It’s a sci-fi version of FarmVille. You will spend days developing different buildings and elements in the game but that’s it. There are players with millions in power that you have zero chance of defeating but do not fear. Any troops that die in battle go to the “Particle Reassembler” where they are revived slowly over time. So that solves the issue of smaller players whining about being decimated. Of course, all of this can be accelerated by spending real money. There is simply no point to playing. These are the same issues with every MMO game on iOS. ✓ Good game but...Trying to start now is very tricky. Impossible if you dont buy some bundles which is really annoying. And even when you do and get loads of troops, 1 attack on your city can set you back days. I like the game and will keep on going for a while. But seriously developers can you tweak some settings: When attacked by someone with 3 times your power or more can you cut down on the deaths a bit. Lost 70k troops over night during the kill event. I cant be online constantly and thats take out a titan completely for at least 2 days. Secondary accounts that do nothing but fill up space in your alliance. They do nothing to contribute. They simply fill a space in your alliance that an actual player could potentially use. The game play is amazingly similar to every other pay-to-play game out there. There was a lot of hype for this game, but the game doesn’t even come close to living up to that hype. ✓ The Usual ProblemHere’s the context. I played this game logging on multiple times a day for 3 weeks becoming the third biggest player in a small alliance before I quit. I previously played a similar strategy game for 15 months. First the pros. The premise of the game is interesting and the in game dialogue from the devs is pretty witty. There are lots of quests and different events that mix things up. It’s possible to get strong without paying the Earth. And the interface was pretty stable for me. Next what might be a pro or a con. The players server seemed mainly to be in their 20s and 30s. For me that was a con because I struggled with the maturity of the chat and the behaviour, but it could be a pro for some. Finally the cons. The mechanics of the staged battle events are a bit simple and passive, basically just telling you whether you won or lost with no chance to take actions in the battle. Second, and this is the big con of so many of these games, you can log on to see that some random has levelled all your troops and taken all your resources. Then it happens the next day. Then the next until you quit. I’d hoped that people had played these games enough to know that this kind of thing empties servers. But I guess people are people. I’ll try to find a game where the devs have a business model that gets away from this problem, or maybe a server where people are a bit more grown up.Steve W HVersion: 0.2.346

✓ Is your flying boat big enough?Nexus War contains gameplay similar to the average strategy game. The defining factor is your flying boat used to represent squads. Fighting enemies on the map is pretty standard. The most jarring gameplay shows when farming other players. While defending, troops will only fight for their home if they get a ticket to the flying boat. If they do not get a seat on the boat, they take the day off and watch the city burn. It is amusing to attack a player with twice as many troops as you but they did not upgrade a hero, stationed on the boat, enough to strengthen the size of their squad. This allows you to keep funneling attacks because the number of troops on the defending flying boat do not increase and your victory is guaranteed every attack. As long as your flying boat is bigger than the defenders, you can farm the defender all day. Have not seen a reliable way around this and it becomes pretty telling when you get big enough to wipe out entire clans whose flying boats are not big enough combined to meet the size of your cooler, larger flying boat. Very strange defense mechanic but I just throw up a shield 3 minutes after farming and no one can touch me anyway..Tat2232Version: 0.2.49

✓ Bad game experienceThere are several issues with this app. Storyline The storyline starts well albeit somewhat immaturely. I think there are Grade 9 English students who could write a better story arc. They give you just enough to catch a modicum of interest and then abruptly terminate it. The mechanism they were using (a quest based reward system) just stops all of a sudden. You then get some sort of side story subplot thing in the Metropolis tasks which takes absolutely forever to move through feeding you crumbs for your efforts. Game Play Not bad. Rewards though are clearly slanted towards paying players with lots of disposable income. The rest can only struggle along exchanging endless hours of time for what rewards they can achieve. Several times I did the math, realized that, even if I did everything I could without spending money I’d still not achieve the objective, and then quit the event halfway through because it was useless to pursue. Do the math or chase ghost rewards. You can spend a lot of time for very little gain. Community I think here is where I think the game falls down. In every game I’ve ever played, there has been some sort of “fair play” standard to help curb some people’s more aggressive tendencies. Prohibiting Kill Stealing, for example. It doesn’t seem like there is any kind of anti bullying mechanism. They apparently will respond to chat threats and bullying, but, in a game where there is PVE and PVP, there are lots of ways to bully others. Case in point, an alliance attacks a target, gets it down to almost no health and suddenly another alliance swoops in and claims the prize by scoring the killing blow. Now that might be considered good strategy to some but when you’re the number 1 alliance and you do that to put down the number 2 that is half your strength, some sort of “fair play” standard should be implemented. It is a game where the strong prey on the weak and that can, and often does, lend itself to bullying. Summary If you’ve got cash to burn and don’t mind getting beat down by people stronger than you, go for it. Otherwise, find something more balanced..Raven762Version: 0.2.319

✓ It’s what you may expectFirstly I must say, didn’t play a lot of it, even if you would call it playing. The games premise is similar to other real time base builders like Clash of Clans or Call of Dragons, where your given a base with the ability to build defenses and armies to challenge other players. But it’s missing a couple of important components. 1. You don’t have control of the battle. You pick units pre-battle and pray to god it works, or at least my limited time in the game portrayed it so. I believe some synergy and importance is available late game, but you are more likely to have a more fulfilling combat experience with a game with actual gameplay rather than what seems like betting your team will win. 2. The story is not it. The introduction is overwhelming in general, and the story doesn’t really help with that. Your introduced as a guy whose’s asleep and is woken up by some people, and addressed as commander. Then your team beats up a random demon, and you are given a choice of kill or save. Finally when at the base you are in fact a smuggler/criminal instead and save a squirrel guy from more insect tyrannid lookalikes. 3. It’s overwhelming I came in expecting a sketchy, advert spammed mess of a product, when now looking back is slightly better than expected. There are no ads… for other games at least. But there are tons on notifications for mail, discounts, missions, battle pass levels, timers. The screen is filled with numbers that are generally useless. It’s like you are expected to know what it does when you just began. I know it attempts a tutorial, but the tutorial is very (click here, do this, get stuff). The tutorial would be better if there were less currencies, but that’s not the case. 4. It… looks very sketchy I don’t know bout you but getting a ton of adds on YouTube bout this kind of thing just paints a big bias on this product. Just my opinion. Additionally there was no standard agree to ToS and Private Policy other games have, so if you just found this randomly while scrolling here, be careful. ✓ Stuck at claim rewards screenRight after playing for a few mins, I've been taken to a claim rewards screen with one objective reward claimed already which is Recruit Hero 1 time (1/1). The chapter 1: Retrun to Origin tasks are laid out but I cannot click anywhere to exit the screen or claim the rewards, I've tried deleting and reinstalling the app several times, but doesn't work.
