✓ Slows DownWhat would be a great free Sudoko game is held back by poor coding which sees the game basically grind to a halt after several minutes and lag massively on touchscreen inputs. I wouldn't be surprised if this is also taxing the iPhone 4's battery in doing so. I'd say avoid this app on the iPhone 4. I can't vouch for other systems though..Version: 0
✓ GlitchA brilliant Ap, that I downloaded in June 2010. In the last few weeks, though, it's been freezing up on me, which is pretty frustrating when I'm trying to beat my best times. ✓ Game closes without saving after about 10-20 minsThis app is fine in terms of its layout and features etc. but it closes without saving anywhere from 10-20 mins in (wipes all or most of your moves). ✓ Was better before upgradeSkill levels used to be well-differentiated. Now, an "easy" puzzle is likely to be as difficult as an "expert" puzzle. Even worse: progress arbitrarily resets counts. ✓ Ad banner makes it nonfunctionalThis used to be a decent Sudoku game. Now it’s useless because the greedy developers slapped an ad banner where the game menu used to be, so you can’t switch note mode on or off, quit a game, or restart a game. ✓ Good, but should be able to note more than one number/squareThis is a good application, and once you have disabled it giving the answers as soon as you note down a number as "correct" it is challenging, however you do need to be able to note more than one number in a single square as you otherwise have to just remember what number is supposed to go in each square..Version: 0

✓ V 2.1 Algorithm BugI have been playing and enjoying this Sudoku game far more than any other version I’ve ever tried. It is a great way to kill time in a waiting room, and I always strive to complete a game in the shortest possible time, which up to now is 4:38. However the latest 2.1 version changed the difficulty algorithm and now I am finding that some the “easy” difficulty games impossible to solve without guessing and using the guess if correct. They need to reexamine the new difficulty algorithm and revert back to the previous version since it appears version 2.1 generates some “easy” games that can’t be solved without guessing. (As a rule, even the most difficult game should have a unique solution that is discoverable by the constraints without guessing, where accepting a hint should reveal the overlooked constraint that forced that choice, and the only difference between easy and hard games being how obvious the constraints are.).Version: 2.1
✓ Was ok, but...This is nice app, however, I'm experiencing the issue with the same couple of puzzles being repeated at each difficulty level. This was happening before the latest update and continues to do so. This would be 5 stars without this issue, but now is irritating. ✓ Really sad to see such blatant money grubbingSo now, an update labelled as “bug fixes & performance improvements” has basically introduced ads across the bottom of the screen. Nothing very original, but this developer has now focussed so hard on getting ad revenue that —even though I have a large screened iPhone— that key functional buttons are now completely obscured, significantly hampering play. ✓ Sorry FolksI call them mighty mighty crashy games these days. This app crashes immediately after startup approx. 40% of the times I run it. Plus after the last update in which they appear to have introduced intentional repeating of puzzles it has become far less usable. From 5 stars to 2 overnight. Good job guys..Version: 0

✓ Great but...Nice U.I., however it has some important weaknesses: It lacks an Undo button which is a critical one into a such application and the algorithm needs to be reviewed because it gives you hints when it interacts on notes. E.g.: you put a note into a square then you update a number of this note into a square that interacts with the note and if the note is updated, you know that the number that you added is correct, otherwise, you remove it and you put it on the second possibility that you have. Once you notice this whole in the algorithm you can resolve the whole puzzle that way without thinking much as a Sudoku solver and you will register your best records. This a core issue that needs to be fixed..Version: 1.10

✓ Okay, but touch interface is clunkyDoes exactly what it says on the tin - it's Sudoku for free. But, as you'd expect with a free app, the interface is rather clunky. Squares are difficult to select and numbers are difficult to enter. I didn't even bother entering estimate numbers in the corners. Ideally, I'd want the app to zoom in on the square you've entered, similar to the DS's Sudoku in Brain Training - but, let's face it, this is a free app, don't expect too much and you'll be fine..Version: 0

✓ Stupid version! gives the game away!!!Stupid version of the game! If you put a number 'note' in a cell and then correctly use that number on the same row or in the same square then the game automatically removes that number from the cell that you noted it in earlier. BUT it doesn't do that if you incorrectly apply the number! So it gives it away when you get a number right! you can therefore cheat by applying number notes and testing whether that number is correct when you apply it to another cell..Version: 1.10
