✓ Well....After playing it for a while, I have knocked it down to 2 stars. There is no control for spin or slice, only power. It is probably the best golf game I have played on a phone, but I was hoping for more..Version: 0
✓ Needs Work...But could be good......This game has nice graphics but needs some functional upgrades. The distances to the hole it gives are way off. You can't stick any greens with back spin or loft with your short irons, and using a rolling approach to the greens is often impossible. The game does not allow for fades or draws, which takes some strategy out of the game and does not allow for more creative and aggressive shots, for the virtual golfer who is feeling "lucky" that day. Also, the game needs MANY more courses, three just doesn't cut it. GL Golf is more expensive and doesn't look quite as slick, but it plays MUCH better (closer to EA Sports Tiger Woods game). GL is the golf game I replay over and over. When I return to this game once in a while. It is cute for a round or so, and I'm back on the GL courses. Still, with its setbacks, this game has some fun elements, a nice look, and overall potential. But it is in dire need of the aforementioned fixes to be anything golfers can appreciate and replay a lot..Version: 0
✓ Simple, no thrills golfThis is just ok. It's very simple and has nice graphics but absolutely no depth. If you want more than this with some mechanics & simulation, I'd be definitely looking elsewhere. At the moment this is one of the cheapest golf games available at $2.49. It is very easy to play, perhaps a bit too easy as I scored a 6 under par round the first time I played it. Putting is rediculously easy too. Some difficulty levels could be a welcome addition? Taking a swing is even worse, they could have employed the 3 click system to add an element of skill. Instead you're left with a clumsy powerbar. It has so much potential, yet it's wasted. ✓ Not a bad game at all, just needs a little workI was very wary because of all the bad reviews, but went ahead and bought it anyway. This isn't a bad game, the graphics need some work, most definitely, but the controls aren't bad, it's not terribly hard and it really helps you kill time. It's not as fun as golf on the Wii (which I love), but it's good. I wish you could flick your finger or in some way use the accelerometer, it would be a lot more fun. Bottom line, it's good, but 8 bucks? maybe a little expensive. I'd definitely buy it again if they dropped the price. I hope that there's an update soon..Version: 0

✓ Used to itGranted its not as good as GL Golf which is a lot like EA Tiger Woods Golf, but I liked playing this on my deceased palm pilot, and they did a great job re-creating it. That is the ONLY reason I paid the 7 bucks or whatever for it. It may be worth taking a flyer at 2 dollars if you like golf games, but when it goes back up in price, don't bother, just get GL Golf instead. I think this is one of those developers that is used to charging a premium for palm device games, and have priced themselves right out of the market here at the apple store..Version: 0
✓ Terrible(dont waste a dollar)I normaly dont write a review for apps. But this app is so terrible i had to write it. Needs to be redone and move the mountains out of the fairway. ✓ Could be so much better!I love golf games, and know this could be so much better, it is so close but not quite there. Things I like: the character graphics are pretty good. The courses are interesting enough! I like the way you can switch from playing in landscape to portrait by turning your device. Things that need improving: The rough should have some effect on the ball, all it seems to be is uneven fairway. It is difficult to know exactly where you are aiming, this could be fixed by having your aim show up when you switch to overhead. Sometimes you get a fairly random bad result from a shot that on paper should have worked out ok, not sure if there is a glitch or what. There should be an opportunity to control draw and fade on the ball, a simple fix would be making it a tripple tap shot bar, 1 tap to start, 1 tap to choose power and a final tap to control draw and fade (accuracy). More shots in your arsenal is a must, I want to be able to choose a chip or punch shot when neccessary. The putting is far too hard, need a grid on the green and the power bar needs to move much slower when putting. I was expecting a lot since the game cost over a fiver, i have had much better golf games on much less capable phones, dissappointed! hope they keep developing it and offering free updates, otherwise I will delete it as soon as something better comes along..Version: 0

✓ Unfortunately, not a good golf game.I really wanted to like Par 72 as I have been clamoring for a good golf game for my iPhone and this seemed to be it. That was not the case. My review will echo many of the others on here. This game is, simply put, terrible. There is no evidence of any type of physics in this game. I can cite example after example, but will only point out wind. Wind has either has no bearing or the exact opposite bearing, sending the ball the complete opposite direction of where you are told the wind is blowing. Stay away from Par 72, it is not ready for prime time. It is very evident that the developer was much more concerned with arbitrarily filling a whole in the iPhone/iPod Touch game market and making a quick profit than it was in developing a quality, strong game..Version: 0
✓ Very disappointingHaving played golf games on various systems for years, I can say with some level of experties that this is one of the worst! Let me explain: * There is no way to tell how far a hazard from your shot. * The greens slope, but it is almost impossible to tell how much break is in a putt. * The putting is very difficult to control from 10-25 feet. * The game doesn't always track the shot well.
