✓ No longer fit for purposeI used to be perfectly happy with this app which I had purchased for my Mac and iOS devices. However, I cannot recommend it at all now. I have had problems adding new accounts and have also found that syncing is unreliable. A quick search on google shows that this app is unlikely to be updated. As a result I have been forced to purchase alternative Mac and iOS apps. It's poor that the developers keep this on the App Store as in my opinion it is no longer fit for purpose..Version: 3.1

✓ I Had To Give Up On Ya Wallet,BUT Today is a New DaySpent a long time (six months) going back and forth with your very patient customer support staff trying so hard to figure out why the heck new enteries wouldn't sync. After trying endless possibilities that hadn't worked, it was suggested that I contact DropBox which I did. Again, with their customer service folks only to be told to go back to Acrylic and have them fix it. Well, believe it or not I have a life and I finally threw up my hands and said "I give up, I'm done." I'm going to find something else to lock up my passwords with. End of this story. Wasn't I very surprised to see a new and improved version out today with bug fixes for my very exact problem. What the heck took ya so long? Ya got too big now that Facebook owns you. ✓ IOS8 & wallet have been arguing again!Been a big fan of Wallets simplicity & ease of customisation over the years compared to eg 1Password which seems over-engineered to my simple brain. Reluctant to admit that since the app is no longer being developed / supported & the developer's total lack of regard for customer care it's probably time to look elsewhere. ✓ Crashes after syncHaving set up our WebDAV server and got this syncing over iPhone, iPad and desktop I now find that this latest release crashes after syncing. It's so bad it then crashes on any subsequent attempts to relaunch. In its current form clearly not worth the money. ✓ New Wallet UpdateI am following up to my recent review. Within four hours of writing to Acrylic Software, I received the following reply: Sorry about that, this is a known bug that somehow slipped into v2.0.2 of Wallet. We're submitting a fix tonight to Apple, and hopefully it will be available shortly. Sorry for any inconvenience. Strangely enough, Wallet disappeared entirely from the iTunes Store with no mention of the problem. However, I am pleased to say that when the problem was fixed, Wallet reappeared. You will see a brief "IMPORTANT" message in the Wallet App description. And so the problem was fixed. However, I still have a problem. When I sync Wallet through Mobile Me the sync seems to hang as the candy stripe never stops twirling. I have to use force quite to close Wallet. I previously wrote to Acrylic Software about this but did not receive any reply. Maybe Wallet still has bugs in it..Version: 0
✓ It used to be so good!I previously reviewed this app for iPhone and Mac and really enjoyed the simplicity, flexibility and ease with which it keeps syncing. At some point, it stopped syncing properly. I keep getting a flash that the file in Dropbox has updated to the most recent version. Unfortunately, when I compare my iPhone database to the Mac database, they are NOT synced. Cannot figure out how to do it either. Contacted Acrylic for advice - 8 days later nothing. ✓ UnlikeIs/was a good app. However, it hasn't been developed for a while. Today's announcement that the Acrylic Software team are packing up and moving to Facebook shows why. From Acrylic's own blog: "Our products and services have not been acquired by Facebook, and while there are no plans for further development on them, Wallet and Pulp will continue to remain available for download and purchase in their current form." ✓ Decent design, lots of crashingDecent enough design, very functional and works well. But It does crash a LOT, Acrylic really needs to fix this. ✓ Problems, so supportAs others have mentioned, this company does NOT support their product. If you need help and attempt to contact them, you will be met only with silence. They are obviously actively developing it, so the only explanation seems to be that they just don't care. They don't feel that paying customers deserve any help if the product they bought does not perform properly. If you have any issues at all with this product, you are just out of luck. For this reason alone, I have to recommend that you stay away. Keep an eye on 1Password. Their iPhone app is due for a big update in the not-so-distant future to coincide with version 3 of their desktop app. Unlike these developers, the 1Password people having always been extremely responsive to any queries I have sent them. See response from DropBox support (16 May 2013): -------------------------------------------------- 'Thanks for writing in. It sounds like the third party app you're using hasn't yet been updated to use the new version of the Dropbox API, which was introduced in Oct 2011. The old version of the API was recently disabled. If you need to use this app, the developer of the app will need to update it to use the new version of the API. You should check to see if an update for the app is already available. Otherwise, you may wish to contact the developer of the app to let them know that you aren't able to use the Dropbox integration. ✓ I am sick about it….My wife and I share Wallet on two iPhones, an iPad, and a MacBook Air. We are often on opposites of the planet so keeping synched is key. Wallet synced flawlessly with MobileMe. Since the move to DropBox we have found that Wallet does not sync properly. We have used the app for a long time. Whenever family or friend bought an iPhone, I would insist that they install and start using Wallet for their own peace of mind. I, too, have contacted Acrylic support and was told the only possible fix is to uninstall and reinstall the program. That was a useless exercise and only resulted in losing recent changes. We see once again that our devices are no longer in sync. With hundreds of account id's and passwords and credit cards and PIN codes and passports and SSN's, I am sick about the prospect of entering everything into another app. But what else can we do???.Version: 3.1

After the iOS 4 update, the MobileMe sync stopped working. I have been trying to get information and status updates from the Acrylic website but there was no response by email. The website has not been updated since fall. The support is no where to be found. Because of this and the importance of a product like this, I might have to move to another product for my important passwords. I need to know that the product will work and continue to be secure. I also need to know if the company is still around. I'll give 2 stars just for the great product but no more because there is no support and has left me with the problem of having to transfer to another program. ✓ Wallet - Syncing Not ReliableMobileMe Syncing will only work reliably if you are accessing/using only 1 MobileMe account. If your Mac Keychain has any iDisk or MobileMe login information saved in it for more than 1 account, then neither the Mac or iPhone Apps can tell the difference. So, the tools repeatedly fail to authenicate properly and thus, no syncing between the iPpone or Mac is possible until this situation. I ended up getting stuck in several error loops before having to disable syncing services within boththe Apps. I was in touch with the developer fir 4 days back and forth via email trying to resolve the problem but he doesn't know what's causing the problem and currently, does not have a fix for it. He was apologetic but did not offer to return my $9 ($5 for Mac; $3.99 for iPhone versions)..Version: 0

✓ Nice GUI but lacking key features and no supportI've used Wallet for several versions now and quite liked the interface. It is the first of its type I have used, on iPhone, iPad and Mac. Unfortunately it is let down by two major issues. The first is that it is missing crucial features such as Undo Delete or a Restore function in case you accidentally delete an entry. That is a major drawback when storing such sensitive information. Also copying entries between categories is not consistent or intuitive. Sometimes it copies the entry title but not the passwords; major fail. The second major issue is the lack of support. There is very little documentation with the app and absolutely nothing on the vendor website. I had plenty of questions during one of the major upgrades but there were no FAQs, forums, guides, etc. For a crucial program that you want to trust your confidential information to, this is not up to scratch. If the vendor decided to support it properly then maybe it would be worth hanging around for. I'm done waiting..Version: 2.2
✓ Ok-but some glitchesI have been using this app for over a year now, but lately it is getting a bit 'buggy'. Quite often, the first time i log in to check a password on an entry I get kicked out and have to log in again-is ok the 2nd time. Also don't like that to view a password I have to click 'edit' - as worried might change or delete details by mistake - used to be able to see password without having to do this before. I realise some people might like this feature so would be nice if it was optional. ✓ A great start, but lacking needed features for an iPhone appI looked at wallet to see if I wanted to switch from my current wallet application. I was attracted to Wallet's clean UI and the matching Mac application is also very nice. There are a few features missing before I could consider making the switch: 1. None of the fields are "live". Tapping on web addresses will not launch Safari. With no copy and paste, we need as many live links as possible. I want phone numbers to dial the phone, email addresses to launch mail, and web links to launch Safari. As part of this, I would want the right iPhone keyboard showing for each field (email, web address, numeric, etc). 2. Layout of longer field entries wraps in odd places because most values don't have spaces so you can't break on words. Because the name/value of each field is shown on the same line, there is little space for field values over a few characters. I would prefer to either modify the layout so the field name is above the value, or dynamically scale the font size (within reason) to try to make the value fit. 3. I find the default keyboard too small to enter my password when I'm in a hurry. I'd love the option of displaying the iPhone numeric keypad on the login screen. SplashID does this really well and really simply with a simple toggle on the login screen. 4. I'd love to be able to sync to other WebDAV servers besides Mobile Me..Version: 0
✓ Don't Buy This App! IT IS HORRIBLE!I have been a user of this app for many years, but it has turned out to be one of the most horrible apps I have experienced. The owner has gone out of business and the app has virtually lost all of its significant features and functionality. For example, you are not able to sync data from your computer to your iPhone; you are not able to sync data from Dropbox to either your iPhone or computer; The Safari and Chrome plugins are not recognized and do not work and the customer service is the absolute pitts because even though the owner has left the website up it serves no purpose because no one is responding to the emails, including the owner. Many of his loyal customers, like myself, have been trying to reach someone in technical support for over a year and there is not at least the courtesy of saying there will be no customer support. Don't believe the false truth that is posted about providing technical support because it is very misleading and unethical in my judgment. So please don't waste your money because this product is horrible and I am shocked Apple continues to carry this product given all of the negative reviews of late. ✓ Good start...not quite there yetThere's something to be said for Wallet's simplicity and flexibility. But, there's also something to be said for functionality that still needs to be added before it is a competitive app. The AES encryption is a nice feature. I created a field for an email address, and my email address wrapped around the display (even though it wasn't that long). One feature that would be a nice addition is a Window client. I appreciate the fact that supposedly they have a nice Mac desktop app, but the fact still remains that there are many Windows users to support. Currently, MobileMe synching is not a good option. MobileMe is a great service, but it's a bit overpriced, so it's not too useful for synching. Overall, a very nice product, but some additional functionality needs to be added to be competitive with others such as eWallet and SplashID..Version: 0
✓ Giving upI have used this program for years but have noticed that the sync using Dropbox is just not working. New entries are synced but changes to existing ones are not. I used to use MobileMe sync which worked fine, but now using Dropbox none of my changes to existing entries are synced. I have tried deleting the app off my phone and re-installing, I have manually deleted and recreated the Dropbox sync file, but I just cannot get it to work. ✓ Good effort but no cigar!The idea of having a secure database on your i-Phone is a great idea. The database works well, easy to use and find your way round. One big problem though - the application does not close down automatically after a period of time - even after the phone enters sleep mode. You have to close it yourself. This means there is the potential if distracted at a critical time, that you leave the application open, lose or have the phone stolen, and the person swithching the phone on finds himsef in a database containing all your passwords for websites. If Acrylic Software don't put this flaw right I would say you are putting yourself uneccessarily at risk by using this software..Version: 0

✓ Will not Sync with Dropbox and NO Support from AcrylicI used this program virtually since it came on the market and found it very easy to use and keep in sync with my Mac and my wife's iPhone. Once we upgraded to iPhone 4's we could not use MobileMe to sync, so we moved synchronising to DropBox. Neither phones will now sync with the Mac nor the other iPhones. Dropbox works fine with everything else. I emailed Acrylic from their website over a month ago with our problem, but they have not acknowledged the email nor have they bothered to answer the issues contained. I have again emailed them today hoping that they may reply. If I get a reply with a satisfactory solution, I will post again to update. Be warned ………………….!.Version: 3.0

✓ A little too spartanI like the clean look of the app, and appreciate the effort to keep it simple. I don't appreciate the lack of detail about the product on the web site, though. I had to buy the app to find out what it could (or not) do - most products I can figure that out from the description. The help in the product is simply a link to the web site, which is no help at all. I bought Wallet because it can use WebDAV for syncing - a major point in it's favor because I have no desire to sync my password data to the cloud - even if it is encrypted. A password generator is sorely missed, a feature I expect to find in a password manager. A good one has options for lower case letters, upper case, digits, non-alphanumeric, with a configurable length. Disambiguation of confusing characters is helpful, such as O and 0, as is generating pronounceable passwords. One product alternatively specifies the format with placeholders, such as AAAaa000@@@, which made for easier to use passwords with the trade-off of reduced randomness. There needs to be a configurable time out to lock the app, rather than either always locking or only manually. My search for a replacement for SplashID is sadly not complete..Version: 3.0.1
✓ WebDAV sync not consistentI liked the simplicity of the interface for this app (and the Mac app). But while the Mac app can sync successfully to a secure WebDAV server, the iPhone app just would not. Since I don't want to use Dropbox, and the wireless synching also didn't work, I gave up.
