✓ Great apps if you travel a lotIf you are a frequent flier like me this is a must. Since you can use one subscription for 2 devices you can have you iPad and phone connected at the same time. The wifi works at lots of airports. Given the cost of monthly subscription it's really a bargain..Version: 5.0.0072
✓ Good, but one silly flawUsually it works fine, but the option to find hotspots only works if you are already online, which sort of defeats its purpose! ✓ Getting BetterThis app used to be awful. It took ages and several attempts to connect. Recently things are getting much better: It usually connects on the 1st try and sometimes even stays connected as you walk around different parts of the airport. ✓ It’s okayTrying it now for the first time from an international airport. Not very intuitive to set up and establish the connection. However, it seems to work well once a wifi connection is established. Fast and reliable, with no drop outs, but that depends on their partner I guess..Version: 6.16.0007
✓ Login issuesHave had this for a few years seems to work ok UK and France sometimes takes many login attempts before logging in. Got this mainly for travel which was an issue when I got to New York as it only seemed to work at JFK and not in the Novotel times square which it was supposed to please sort Boingo.Version: 5.1.0040

✓ Good App but in the help section please list major partners - you know it makes senseEasy to use App but nowhere lists major partners by country. This is a problem as where there is no branded wifi you have to try in hope and work through the available ones in an airport, try to connect and hope to get lucky. ✓ Works well enough for me in the US, London and FranceCurrently logged on via an Orange wifi hotspot in an obscure Novotel in northern France. Works well at Heathrow and NY area airports, the airport in Austin, TX and via BT Openzone in the West End in London. Auto-reconnect would be useful as mentioned by another reviewer. NB I don't use the app to find hotshots, I see what hotspot providers are active in the area I'm trying, (they come up when you look at the settings on an ipod touch,) navigate to the providers homepage, check if Boingo is a partner and then use Boingo to connect. I haven't had to re-enter my log on details more than once either..Version: 4.1.1
✓ If you travel - it's definitely worth it!!Great for passing the time at the airport when you're delayed and it has saved me more than a few times when I had to re-book flights online at the airport! ✓ Very useful appIt takes a bit of fiddling to log onto a hotspot the first time (try turning wifi off then on again), but after that it is seamless. It is great to have a map at your disposal. Some people complained about needing to be close to the hotspot, but that is location dependant and probably set by the retailer so you have to be in their (e.g. coffee shop) location to use it. I especially like that I can turn it off and on in my iTunes subscriptions, and can use it with all my devices..Version: 5.5.0005.0
✓ Great plan!I really like the monthly plan to use with my iPad. I travel a lot and just have the wifi iPad, so the bingo subscription gives good coverage at great value. ✓ Works Great!!!Once you do the initial setup of your account ID & password on this app, that's the only time you have to enter it. After that, every time your in a Boingo Hotspot, click the Login button & it logs you in instantly. It's that easy. I have an iPod Touch & tested it out at an airport, it logged me in right away & the Wi-Fi speed was fast. What else can you ask for..Version: 0

I use it every day and glad I got it, when works properly loads pages, files etc. very fast and easy browsing which I do a lot. Now and than irritating because drops connection for no reason when I will change locations just only few meters from office to office. ✓ Much improved - I think...When I first boingoed it was great: wifi everywhere. The past several incarnations of the app have left me with the dreaded "Oops!" message, and forced onto 3G. ✓ UsefulPlain and simple. Seems to work well across many European airports, stations and hotels. Not fancy and you need to get used to the fact that sometime you need t hook up to WiFi 1st via settings and sometimes you don't. The only weakness I find is that in a large space e.g. an airport it won't roam between WiFi hotspots as you move around. On iPad 3 now. No issues..Version: 4.2.0061

✓ Not that badI'm not sure why Boingo is getting such bad reviews. I was able to use it frequently without issues and if no Boingo hotspot existed it was usually coupled with another supplier, still allowing me to connect using my Boingo account. I had to unfortunately terminate my account (this had nothing to do with Boingo service) and this was done painlessly via email. I received an immediate response from their support team and had no issues with terminating my agreement. If I was in need of a mobile wireless service I would certainly reconsider Boingo..Version: 0
