✓ Hard to faultI've been using this app for over 12 months now with various loads for 22-250, .204 and .22LR. It's proven to be very accurate and if not it's generally because I've provided incorrect data. The only update id like to see (and it's only nit picking) is to have images of my own targets (in the target tool) available like for reticles in rangefinder tool. Loading and scaling them from camera roll each time gets old pretty quick if you're doing it a lot. All in all its a fantastic app that does what you expect it too. ✓ Amazing!!Incredible app! Takes all the guess work out of shooting. Being able to compensate for windage and spin drift as well as bullet drop is made so easy with this system. It even compensates for how far in front of you your chronograph was positioned when you got the 'muzzle' velocity of your hand loads. Combining this app with something like a Kestrel portable weather station will give you a system very similar to that incorporated in the CheyTac intervention kit. If you can provide this app with all the information it needs (bullet type, muzzle velocity, wind speed and direction as well as other environmental factors) you will be given an extremely precise ballistic chart for the distances you have specified. I have the Barrett Optical Ranging System (BORS) fitted to my competition gun but still use this app for calculating things that the BORS can't, ie; spin drift and windage. I strongly recommend this app to anyone who is into precision shooting over any distance..Version: 0
✓ Best Ballistic App available!This is by far the best ballistic app I have used, after having spent time with more than a half dozen of other highly rated apps. In addition to shooting many different caliber a for hunting, I compete in long range F-Class competition out to 900m. The ease of use, ability to customize if needed, an extensive ballistic database including Litz BC values, and the number of other environmental variables that can be entered ensure that my first shots are exceptionally accurate, while others are still just a bit off the mark. This has helped give an edge to being a couple of points ahead in the scoring, and I've won several local and Provincial matches in part due to the aid of being in the bullseye right from my first sighters. ✓ Love the app but having one problem...This is a very useful app although I am having a problem with the wind settings. When I’m on the trajectory page I am only able to mess with the “advanced” wind settings and am unable to select a simple 90 degree wind the entire distance. Instead I have resorted to selecting wind at a desired speed every few hundred yards on the pop up they give you for inputting wind that may be going in different directions. ✓ BallisticI've been using Ballistic for five years. It's very good with some bullets and fair with others. If you don't keep detailed accurate records of every shot and it's specific conditions this is a great next best thing. It has helped me tremendously wile working up loads and testing bullets get on target quick and then I fine tune with real world conditions. It should have a correction mode for data to be fed back to the engineers for examination and possible improved data. Use the users for the improvement of the programs. ✓ Ballistic FTE reviewI bought this app since I wanted something faster than going to JBM online. I like the app overall, a lot. But, it has a few glaring omissions, notably that its missing the Litz and rimfire projectile models, in addition to target lead for moving targets. I dislike that you can't choose the units in both columns of the output like you can online. I like the output to be both mils and MOA, as I rarely communicate trajectories in inches. I also dislike that you can't set it to round off mils to one decimal, which thankfully IS done in the HUD. ✓ A must for shooting beyond 500 yards!You still have to compensate for crosswind jump (Magnus effect), but the ballistic engine is solid. Always use field impact data to true your dope before taking anything to the bank, but BAE will get you in the ballpark right away. BC changes with velocity so the mfg. uses an average that may be different than yours. A box test on the optic is also a good idea to rule out variables. I've been very pleased with this app. Comes with electronic version of a mil-dot master for ranging and more. Great bang for the buck..Version: 6.2.4

However, after doing some reading on long range shooting, I realized that the app was probably limited on its calculations. After comparing the free app made by my scope manufacturer with ballistic AE, unnoticed a 1" discrepancy at 250 yards in their calculations. But of all the Apps I have used I always revert back to this App first. It is always there when you need it since we all have our phones in our pockets etc. I don’t always remember to drag along the Kestrel. It’s fast. It is easy to input and store input. ✓ Great Ballistics ProgramI don't usually write reviews and I am fairly new to precision shooting. But this program allowed me to go out and make accurate shots at 500 yards with hand loads. And by accurate I mean within a 6x6 inch plate (second shot after adjusting for wind). This app has a lot of features, which might be a little overwhelming for the first time user. But as soon as I got everything calibrated for my rifle, the ballistic charts are fantastic for my .308 ... Great app and in my opinion worth every dollar. The app is regularly updated and as I'm writing this review a new version is currently in beta. Very excited to see what results I get at further ranges. Edit: used again for 1100 yards with my 6.5 creedmoor and shooting 12 inch steel plate. Got multiple hits, and initially really got me close to target. Have to do some adjustment, and verify hits at prior ranges. But great app! Highly recommended.Version: 6.2.4

✓ Great app, need some updates.I am really impressed overall. There does however seem to be some things missing. The biggest for me being the MOA calculator, it would be really nice to have the option for "True MOA" (1.0476" @ 100 yds) or "Shooters MOA" (1" @ 100 yds). This makes a huge difference. Also if in settings for HUD, you select 1/4 clicks, instead of haveing to figure out in your head what 27 click will show on you turret as (6.75 or 6 whole clicks and three, 1/4 clicks). ✓ Best there is. A few suggestions though.I’ve been using this app since it was first released years ago. If you’re looking for the best ballistics solver for iOS, look no further. I’ve used this app to successfully hit targets out to 1KM. It’s become an invaluable part of my shooting gear. Got me 1st round hits with a 50 BMG and .308 at that distance. The features are top notch. There’s even a group size calculator built in, which is handy. I also have iStrelok, Applied Ballistics, and a Kestrel 4500 w Applied Ballistics. So far, this app is my favourite due to the features. I would like to suggest a few things: 1. Apple Watch support. It would be nice to be able to have the HUD on the Apple Watch so that I don’t have to have the phone at all times. I would gladly pay for this feature. 2. I mentioned this before, but a data book option would be fantastic. I know there’s a way to record range reports, but it would be nice to be able to draw notes and write down how wind behaves in certain areas. It would also be nice if the info entered would become searchable. For example, after recording all of my log book data, I could search for a specific range for alt, temp, rifle, DA, etc. and the app returns all of the logs that meet that criteria. It’s a pain to look these up in a manual data book. I think this feature would really enjoy huge. 3. Built in reticles. It is a pain to import reticles and it would be nice if there was a data base of reticles that we could select from. 4. Support for screen sizes for iPhone X and above..Version: 6.3.3

With a little range time and practicing with the program variables all three of my hunting rifles (300 Ultra Mag, .257 Weatherby Magnum and a 30-06) are on the money out to 700 yards. If your after an easy to understand program that's self contained on your smart phone look no further. Hunting in the mountains or hitting gongs at 700 yards this program lets you input real time wind, altitude and elevation data and generates a trustworthy shooting solution. The data base of bullet BC's and drag coefficients is very user friendly. You can easily input live wind direction, speed and temperature. Push the calculate button, dial your turrets and shoot. I was amazed that the developer responded so quickly especially over the weekend. I switched the weather service provider from NMI to NOAA and it works perfectly. I’ve had hours of fun just playing ballistics “what if.” I only have access to rimfire rifles and a 100 yard range, but even at those distances the program is useful. It correctly predicts (close as I can eyeball it anyway) the difference in impact points when I switch from supersonic to subsonic ammo. I don’t have access to what I’d need to “really” test it, and even if I did, my so-so shooting isn’t good enough for it to matter much. Bite the bullet, pull the trigger!.Version: 6.5.1

I bought a 6.5 Creed and decided to try out long range shooting but didn’t have a clue how. I bought this app and watched a couple videos on how to use it. ✓ AmazingI've been using this app for MANY years now. Its given me solutions to shots from Maryland to Oregon and all along the way. But I finally found is first issue.... it's phone/ pad only. Sometimes you just want to sit on the couch and play with load recipes and see what you can get. I have had this program for about a year or so and it has performed well. ✓ Best Ballistic App, PeriodFirst, Ballistic AE was the first iPhone Ballistic app I ever used; spring 2014. Second, I now have ten including multiple versions and free proprietary apps on my phone. However, all my loads, reloads and factory, .22 LR to .308, are in this one. Why? It is easy to use, but as comprehensive as you need it to be. ✓ Update a disappointment.A great app and very accurate provided given correct information. Only problem is the update on the HUD calculator it now ranges in 25 yard increments instead of the previous 10 yards. I am a long range enthusiast and have used this to help me predict very long range trajectories (out to 1,050 yards so far). I've used it to help predict spin drift, to estimate range based on mil readings, estimate point of impact shifts with different bullet and velocity combinations on the same Gun/scope combo, and even to lob sub sonic .308 rounds out to 600 yards. It allows you to look up your ammo from a database or input your own if you Hand-Load. I like that you can save your favorites loads for all your rifles.
