Tap & Track Calorie Counter for Positive User Reviews

Great appI’ve been using this app for about 8 years, and I prefer it to many others I’ve tried. However, I really wish it had a setting for net carbs for keto dieters. As it is, I’m never quite sure of my carb count, though protein and fat are always accurate. A net carb function would make it the ideal app for everyone!.Version: 8.2

TapnTrackIt really beats paying a ridiculous ongoing subscription for an app. One time fee. Plus it tracks carbs for those on KETO, however it will not subtract fiber or alcohol sugars. Has a huge data base. Only downsides are that doesn’t have some modern foods like the new “zero” sodas and missing many artificial sweeteners. There are random foods that are way wrong like an herb (i can’t remember which) ..it was 300 calories for a tablespoon. But I knew it was off and omitted the item from daily consumption. It also needs to add walking for an exercise option. Otherwise it’s great..Version: 8.2

Almost excellentBy far the best calorie tracker I've seen, although the supermarkets are more US based, there are some UK ones. I've been using this app since it first came out and (sadly) my girlfriend automatically gives me the labels off any food we eat, which gets inputted into my favourites. After a month or so, you'll find you've got the stuff you eat regularly so inputting becomes easier as time goes on. Customer support is excellent too and almost every suggestion I've made to them has been implemented in an update. Keep up the great work!.Version: 6.6

Terrific app for tracking your mealsHaving been a personal trainer for more than a decade, I KNOW that tracking the food you eat helps lose weight and keep it off. This app makes tracking your food ridiculously easy. Custom foods can be quickly added. Love the fact it includes Canadian brands i.e. Tim Horton's :-).Version: 0

Good AppWould be better with more international food types. Can you set up a whole meal plan in favourites?.Version: 0

Great productThe only thing I would add to this app is the ability to add a new/ favourite food and from its packaging add it's nutritional content. It would be even better if people could then upload these favourite products so everyone had access to them. This would get over the issue of the app being too US centric..Version: 0

Tap and trackLove this app. Adding metrics and NewZealand brands would be cool see also..Version: 0

MrsI like the program very much. I like being able to choose which values shoe on front page eg fat carbs. I find the full nutritional details useful and accessible easily when I need them. I like the way I can create my own recipes and it's all available when I don't have Internet access. I think the food categories are confusing so I use the previous foods list mostly ..Version: 6.6

Love itMy favourite part is the graph - I didn't realize how little protein I was getting - now I am working to get my protein up! Some things are frustrating though - like, I want to add Tim Hortons steeped tea double double - but I can't - I have to add the cream and sugar everytime -i can't make a recipe for it. But overall really great!.Version: 0

Good HealthThis is a fantastic application to aid the ability to eat a healthy choice for your own personal health. A must have if you really want to control your weight. So easy to use and very convenent.Version: 6.6

All I can say is my weight loss says it all!!I have been 'playing' at the idea of loading weight and toning up for over a year and was convincing myself that middle age had set in and it was impossible to change my shape and size. However, I've lost 5 lbs and started running on a regular basis (ev other day). Tap n Track has given me a reference point and a conscience and it has worked. I've only got 3lbs to go now. As everyone who has ev tried to lose wt knows, these last few lbs are the hardest, but I'm feeling confident and know Im not on my own with this app! The only reason I dont give it five is because the database refers to American stodgy meals, but there are products known in uk too. It's best to put your own cooking and ingredients in the app. It's a relatively small problem. The only person you are kidding if you don't loss weight with the app is yourself and it won't be because the app is rubbish. Best of luck!.Version: 7.1

Great appGreat app that has been getting steadily better with more UK foods. Would like to be able to add exercise with a custom amount of calories and time, rather than finesseing the time to get the right cals (taken from heart rate monitor). Would also love if it gave me option to say how many portions in "my recipe". I often make big batches of chili, lasagne, sauce etc. It would be good to add the whole ingredients as i go and then just say how many portions it made at the end instead of writing it all down, dividing by number of portions and then putting the divided numbers in the app. Still very useful app..Version: 0

Essential for weight loss! This app has helped me lose 30 pounds in two separate periods of my life. The database is comprehensive, and it’s so easy to track calories and exercise. I have recommended it to multiple friends who want to lose weight. All it takes is diligence in logging your calories and exercise..Version: 8.2

Nice AppThis app is very nicely done with an easy to use interface and some excellent features. What stopped it getting a 5 from me is I want to record in kj instead of calories.Version: 0

Nice to keep me on track;)I particularly like that it works offline so I can enter in items at any moment. Thanks! Could have improvements like comparing intake nutritional amounts compared to recommended daily requirements. . . But does the calorie counting just fine..Version: 6.6

Tap&Track is a Great ValueI really love this App! It let's you create a custom menu item if it cannot be found in it's database which really helps you to keep track accurately rather than settling for a suggestion that may not be as close as you'd like. The create a meal is a great feature too, so that you can put several items together (like beef+cheese+salsa+taco shells) to make a whole meal once and then recall it when you eat it the next time. I agree with other users than more Canadian content would be nice & an improved custom excersize feature too. I highly recommend this App! Lost 7lbs so far. Livestrong is good too, but doesnt have the custom features of this one..Version: 0

Awesome App.My most used app. Great for tracking calories. So easy to use. Only 2 criticisms: 1. the lack of updates to the food database, and 2. please developers, listen up........the rotate screen to landscape for log charts is absolutely awesome but, for the love of God, separate the food and exercise calorie components, or have 3 lines on the graph: food, exercise and total..Version: 0

Good to support your dietThis is handy and useful as a mobile food journal (although the database is lacking alot of UK foods you can find something similar) the thing I like about this app is how it calculates your calorie intake depending on your weight, exercise and weekly targets, this makes you aware of how much food your body needs so you don't over or under eat. I have been using it 3 weeks and lost half a stone. Some people say the database food isn't accurate so always check calories on what you are eating and adapt your food log accordingly..Version: 7.0

Great!Awesome but would love a NZ version!.Version: 7.2.1

Awesome!Great app works well for me!.Version: 0

MrGreat app, just needs a few more foods out of Asia and Australasia..Version: 7.0

Updates?Excellent app. Easy to use and navigate. Please update for me iOS.Version: 8.0

Great app. Lost 5 kg in 8 weeksI bought this app to help get in shape for my wedding. It is easily the best app I have on my iPhone and would not be without it. It's so simple to use that counting cals is now part of my daily routine and it's enjoyable to use. A great feature is the exercise logging; it provides great inspiration to exercise; if you're close to your daily kcal limit you can jump on the bike for 60 mins and claim back those cals to allow you to have a guilt free treat! Fantastic!.Version: 7.2.1

Great stuffThe only fault I could find with this app was the lack of UK foods in the database but the ability to enter your own nutritional info for your favourite foods completely nulifies this; plus, the new update shows an effort to rectify the minor problem. I got the app to try and remain conscious of what I was eating, in a bid to become healthier, and it's paid off. This is the most used app I have on my IPhone and is well worth the price if you're serious about losing weight, or just not putting more on..Version: 0

Easiest to useThree ways to find foods and stores all previous meals. Let's you set calorie targets and goal weights very quickly and easily. No annoying pop up ads or banners. Tried a few others and have come back to this..Version: 8.0

Good but could be great! This is a good app, I use it daily, but I do have trouble figuring out all the American foods. For example, "chips" are "fries" and a burger is a "sandwich". Coke is not listed under 'C' for "Coke", but under 'T' for "The Coca Cola Company". Takes a bit of getting used to, and definately needs more Australian products and brands. I agree that exercise should not increase the daily intake limit. Also, using 'mls' instead of 'fl. oz' without having to also swap from 'cms' to 'inches' would be great for us Aussies!.Version: 0

Best App for the semi-extremeI am not a competitive body builder but I do have to keep very close attention to my weight and at times have weight cuts. This app has been the best as far as simplicity of counting my calories and weight progression. I love that they have ALOT of brand name foods already on there to save you trouble of entering in whole nutrition stickers. Love that there are no pop-ups and you can have different profiles. Only thing I wish it had was a notes section of some kind to put down things about the workout of the day or food notes..Version: 8.0

Love itLove it! So easy to add your own foods- not sure what the previous reviewers issue was :).Version: 0

WowThe ability to Track protein, carbs and fat - setting targets for each - is awesome. Exercise calories Are deducted from the total net as you go. Searchable food database is great but quick add foods allow you to enter detailed info for your own foods. Does way more than I would have expected..Version: 7.2.1

Tap & TrackFantastic app, easy to use with easy access to logs & all your data. My only problem was the lack of Australian food. I have had to enter in pretty much everything myself. However once your foods are in there, it is brilliant..Version: 0

Long time user!I've been using this App since 2009. Year after year, I have found its the best out there! I still love this App! It's so simple, and really has been a big help to manage my weight. I wish they'd add a water intake counter to the U/I. But, maybe in the future. But, it's still the best!!.Version: 8.0

Previously over weight personOK. Now I'll rate it at a five again. Now that they fixed the "update". I'll be more careful about when I hit update in future. This is the best calorie counter. Only concern is they might be giving too many burned calories for exercices. After all you burn calories doing nothing and you burn more when you exercise but you have to subtract the doing nothing ones from the exercise ones and I don't think they do it in the app, so you end up giving yourself more credit for exercices than you really earned, double dipping so to speak, and if you eat up to calories burned you could hose yourself on weight loss. I count lowest effort and only credit myself half. I asked once but did not get clear answer about it which is why I don't think they subtract resting calories you'd use anyway from exercise calories. Otherwise I love it..Version: 8.0

AwesomeI have downloaded several other apps and was quickly frustrated. I forgot I had loaded this app on my phone a few years ago and I absolutely loved it. I love the way you can choose foods from a database or use your own previous foods that you've already logged in. I love the visual bar for the percentage of your calories you've had for the day. I get easily distracted with these kinds of fitness apps but this one is perfect!.Version: 8.0

Love this app!!!It has an off-line database that does not require registration on the web and the user interface simple and powerful. I demonstrated it to a few friends after I bought it and all downloaded too. Used it on the plane today when none of my other apps worked!.Version: 8.0

Useful - very easy to use!Like this app. But would like to see water intake counted. Also, lowcarb meals at various restaurants like Mimi's Cafe and Ruby Tuesday are not listed in the restaurant search menu. Love this app. It's so easy to use. Exporting the logs is pretty simple too! Just wish there were more items to choose in the restaurant listings!.Version: 8.0

Dieter's little helperThis is a great little program, with the most familiar and useful measurements, calories for measuring energy and metric units for measuring food amounts, or other measurements if you find it more useful. Love the fact that you can program your own food entries, and it calculates your BMI and gives you a daily total of your calories. Also it does not require internet to work, which some programs do, and that gets expensive when you are traveling. This new version has added smaller measurements and more food choices and is better than ever. It has really helped keeping track of food and calories easier. I do recommend checking things against another fat/calorie guide if you suspect something doesn't sound quite right, there are a couple of small descrepancies here and there, calories of cooked egg whites being one. Love it, my over all favorite application!.Version: 0

This app will save my life!I am 41 years old 30 lbs overweight, I have two young children that I would love to see grow up and until now I did not see that happening. I have high blood pressure and high cholesterol. I started using this app to keep track of my calorie intake suggested by my doctor and in the first week alone lost 7 lbs! This app makes it incredibly easy to keep track of what you eat and also your exercise. Now I know that not only will I see my babies grow, I will also meet my grandchildren!.Version: 0

Returning to itAre use this app extensively when training hard a few years ago and now that I'm picking up the training cycle again and return To it. Last time I used it I was in America and it was very useful for the American foods, I did struggle using it in UK but it seems to have updated itself more non-US foods. If this is solved it is a very good app for me..Version: 8.0

Love itEasy to use..Version: 7.2.1

GREAT... But...This is a fantastic application for anyone wanting to keep track of their nutrition goals and exercise activities. However, the food and restaurant lists are HEAVILY American, any Australian user will find themselves having to enter food items manually to get much use out of the app. I strongly recommend the developer team up with an Australian food list provider and reap the benefits from an appreciative Aussie market. My only other request would be to allow customisation of the 'Overview' page. I'd prefer to be able to see Fat, Carbs & Protein rather than Fat, Carbs & Food Score. Definitely worth the price though. I use it every day :-).Version: 0

Love it!Love it. I also have to substitute on several items, but not that big a deal. This has helped me much more than Weight Watchers tracking. I did find Quaker oatmeal on it and most of my favorite restaurant foods. I like being able to add my exercise in as it actually encourages me to exercise more. It is so convenient having it on my IPhone..Version: 8.0

Love itEasy to use. Wish it had more Canadian content. Also wish it had a way to track how much water I drink a day. Love it; use it everyday! Thank you.Version: 0

Simple but comprehensiveI had been using MyNetDiary for ages but had been having issues with it! I changed to Tap & Track & haven't looked back! It's deceptively simple to use and at first I thought it was a pared down version of what i was used to…but it SO isn't. It has all the features I wanted and more and is much easier to use  and if you do have any questions about the app, the developer is incredibly helpful and fast to reply too! All in all it's definitely one of the best apps I've ever used and worth every penny..Version: 0

Tap & TrackI am really happy with this app. It's simple to use and there are a lot of food options in the database, with the option of measuring in grams if you're used to the metric system. Initially I think my calculated daily calorie intake was far too low (780 calories a day if not exercising!), but it is easy to manually set your own calorie allowance..Version: 6.5

Very helpfulThis is a well thought out and executed app. It is easy to use and comprehensive. I highly recommend it!.Version: 7.2.1

Love itI love this app. It has accurate calories, and all other nutrition facts. It also has restaurants to choose from or name brands. It gives you a realistic calorie count depending on how much weight you want to lose after setting up your profile. I prefer this app over all other calorie counting apps..Version: 8.0

Fantastic AppI love this app... almost everything is already loaded (not so much for local only restaurants, but tons of chains). After researching all of the recommended health apps, I still like this one best. I hope the developers will work to link with the health kit for increased insights. It also looks like the health kit can track additional nutrients, vitamins, and minerals. I hope this information tracking can also be incorporated..Version: 8.2

Needs References...This app is really kewl, though extra help making meaningful use of the data would be nice. Also if the designers could reference other peoples/companies dietry plans, this would go along way to developing better eating plans..Version: 0

Love this appI have used many calorie tractors and I like this the most. Recently there was a problem with the search database. It is now solved. When it was down I tried several other calorie tracker's and did not like them as much as this one. My favorite feature is that you can add in your own recipes and portion them out. It saves all your information, favorite foods and recent items. It makes it so easy to track. The suggested calories for set goals is very accurate..Version: 8.0

Great App Easy To UseI love this app because you can put in your measurements/weight, say how much you want to lose, gain or maintain. Then as you plug in your food/drinks/snack and what have you, it keeps track.... so that you will meet your goal. The BEST part is that if you integrate exercise (such as even walking), it gives you the allowable "extra" calories you can intake that day!! So by dinner if I have 250 calories left in my day... I can do a 30 minute exercise so that I can have extra allowable calories, and then enjoy a more fuller meal at dinner! It's truly amazing!!.Version: 8.0

Tap&TrackGreat app can't do without it. But the 'Search as you type' function has stopped working and it just keeps saying loading new database. Also it doesn't have the average GI in the overview Nutritional Info table. It needs it as we should be able to see our daily GI intake..Version: 7.2.1

Love itSo easy!.Version: 7.2.1

Great appEverything to need to track your fitness goals, highly recommended!.Version: 6.6

AN ESSENTIAL APPLICATION FOR SUCCESSFUL DIETINGI follow Rosemary Conley's Gi Hip and Thigh Diet and this EASY application compliments it perfectly. I deleted all the pre-entered data and started from scratch entering the calorie and GI values of the food/meals I eat - this was very straight forward. Then I entered the same information as the diet plan requires to determine my BMR and then all that's needed to do is enter the food I consume and it tells me at a glance how may calories I've consumed and how may are remaining. I now use it to plan my meals a few days ahead, which inturn helps me plan my shopping, which saves me money and food wastage. The biggest help comes though when I'm just too tired to bother to think what I'm going to eat - which is when I'm most likely to pig-out - and I just flick thro MY Easy Meal section and because I know how many calories I have remaining to use up I can easliy find something that fits the bill! THANK YOU!.Version: 0

Tap n TrackThe best of it's type in my opinion.Version: 8.0

Accurate and convenient.Awesome support..Version: 8.2

Excellent tool!Excellent tool!.Version: 8.0

BridgyFantastic! Well worth the money, seeing the exact impact of what you eat is definitely a big help in losing weight. Very impressed with the huge data base of foods and exercise however would appreciate an Australian download with our brands and restaurants!.Version: 7.1

The best diet aid EVER!Tap and track has made losing weight a breeze- I have tried every diet under the sun and to be honest they're all 'faddy' and unhealthy - Tap and Track lets you eat whatever you want and still lose weight! I still have mcdonalds and I don't feel guilty and then starve myself the next day, I know at a glance how many calories/fat I have consumed that day so can make an informed decision as to whether I can have a treat! It's just amazing! I've lost 35 lb already and I'm still going strong! YOU MUST TRY THIS APP! Thank you Tap and Track, you're changing my life!.Version: 6.6

Great App!I tried a few calorie/lifestyle management apps and this is the best. Food Database is limited so better to locate your own foods on web and setup in the App, this way it is relevant and accurate to yourself. The exercise calorie burn estimate is handy. Takes a little time to get your food data compiled but is very useful once you have made the effort. I am not trying to lose weight but using it to monitor my nutrition. A real eye/opener! Thinking I had a good diet but this showed I was low protein and too much Fat and Carbs, so am now changing my diet to adjust. If anything, I think the graph could be more useful if other info was included to give more informative ongoing progress charting. Also, if the exercise section allowed you to log your personal training exercises each day, it could become a truly awesome application covering all aspects of fitness training and nutrition..Version: 7.1

Very usefulLike it immensely - esp the flexibility to count your own recipes. Easy to use. Can be improved by including Oz foods, body measurements (cm), water budget and protein budget. Food score also appears to be counter intuitive - reading on this says higher is better but quick analysis in this app shows this is not the case eg brown vs white rice..Version: 0

Great app, exceptI am with all the other Northerners, add Canada..Version: 7.2.1

Quality. So simple to use. Like others, I do not use the databases', I simply add my own foods by taking the nutritional information off the packet - 1000% more accurate and really helps you to understand further what your eating. I have monitored my new diet with this app and along with a gym routine have found I have lost just under a stone in weight. I put my continued enthusiasm on my diet solely down to this app. Please allow us to choose a meal category when quick-adding calories in next update?? Thanks from happy customer..Version: 0

A must have app! This is a brilliant app, so easy to use, and very quick to add a meal or just a quick one-off item. It keeps track of calories and weight so there is no excuse to not keep a tally. I have tried a few other apps of this kind but found them too difficult to get on with, or you had to sign up online and pay a monthly subscription. This one is well worth the price, and I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone..Version: 0

ThanksThanks for this app- it is well thought out and really useful. I agree with all the comments thus far that would seriously improve ease of use with this app. Please bring out the next version and let us know! X.Version: 0

Great but Needs MoreApp is great in general and the offline database is very impressive though is missing a lot, an option to connect to an online database as well would be fantastic. Also needs more Australian/International specific foods, not just the US fast food and favourites. Aside from that this app is terrific, highly recommended..Version: 0

A great aid in weight watching/lossSince I've bought it, it's been helping me keep focused on what I should and can eat. There are other free apps similar (daily spark for example) and they do the same thing just somewhat less easy, so I don't mind spending the money. My only complaint this far is the food database is quite confusing. You eat chips and there's a million different ones at different portions so it leaves you unsure which to select. The foods tend to be American too ao it's not really catered for the uk marker at all. This is reflected also in the food restaurant menus choices. If there was a database you'd select for where you live in the world, it would be perfect. It doesn't equate for water intake too (daily spark does) as it's a 0 calorie food group, this should be ammended as water intake is very important to weight loss. Apart from that, highly recommended..Version: 0

Great appThis app is easy to get started and once started its easy to keep up with. I like the feature where u are able to easily duplicate a meal that u had before it's worth the money. I just wish you were able to copy the carbs and sugar and protein off a label of something you are going to eat instead of just adding the calories.Version: 8.0

Tapn track reviewThis is a very useful application- not only for calculating calorie consumption so you don't go over but also making sure you get enough calories from the correct sources. I'm on a raw vegan diet and it is important for me to consume enough calories to thrive so this app gas helped me alot.Version: 0

Good appThe app is easy to use and I like the results reporting. I would like to see barcode scanning capability to record data. Also sometimes I get busy and forget to record my information. The option to have pop-up reminders several times a day to enter my information would be helpful.Version: 8.0

TrackerAwesome.Version: 0

Not Bad!This is a pretty good app for the price. It took me a few days to become familiarized with the format of it (slightly awkward - lots of back and forth between sections and pages), but now it's very easy. Even if you are not dieting, this is a really valuable and accurate tool to show your calories in vs calories expended. Something you are just not fully conscious of until you see what your average day is like. Things really add up. I was also surprised at how many brands and restaurants were in there!! I disagree with the above comment about it needing to be more Canadianized. There are veryyyy few chain restaurants we have here that are not in the database. One exception being Harvey's. Other than that - they're pretty well all there. Also surprised by the international brands in the database (lots of British things and a lot of Canadian only brands.) Other than that, what do you want? everything you buy has a label, so just input some of your favourites all at once and save them so you can easily add them..Version: 0

Love the app, but they aren't updatingTo the developer, if you're reading this: I hope you will consider updating the app. According to a system message, it will not be supported in iOS 11 and, per a previous message, isn't fully supported in iOS 10. This is, by far, the best app I've found for tracking calories in, calories out, and weight. I love the clean design where it isn't cluttered by all sorts of things I don't care about. I just installed an app I have heard great things about, MyFitnessPal, to see if it would work for me, and it is super bloated and full of prompts and all sorts of extraneous stuff. I just want a -simple- and -clean- app to log my progress. I don't want community interface, articles, ads, etc. Tap&Track has been perfect for me, even though the food database doesn't always have what I need since I can just plug in custom numbers that are at least in the ballpark, and if it isn't brought current, I'm going to miss it..Version: 8.0

Good, pretty easy to useGood, pretty easy to use.Version: 7.2.1

A great usable appI have used this app for almost 5 years & am still using it. I can still add recipes to it--and for me that is one of the best features. I too would like to see an occasional update to the foods; I eat out occasionally & many chains are finally changing their menus to better, healthier foods..Version: 8.0

Highly recommendedBrilliant app, it really allows you to grasp the balance between healthy eating and exercise. More British brands couldn't hurt, but the addition of large superstore brands e.g sainsbury's means that pretty much all your home cooked meals are covered by the database. Add to this thousands of ready made brands and you can pretty much guarantee you can always have a n idea about how many calories you're eating. The exercise database is also top notch! Get this if you want to lose weight!.Version: 0

GreatVery useful - exactly what I was looking for! It's much easier to hold youself accountable and stop yourself slipping when there's an easy way to keep track of what you're eating. The lack of UK foods isn't too big a problem for me as i'm happy putting the info in manually. The main problem I have is that each item you add to the day's list sends you back to the main page, which means u have to go through the same 4 menus several times each meal to get back to the custom foods section. A minor inconvenience I know, but it would be great if they could change it in an update..Version: 0

Great appYour will power + this app = results.Version: 7.2.1

It helped me drop 30 pounds!Five years ago I dropped 30 pounds with the help of this app. I used it to track my weight, calories and exercise. After 5 years some of it has crept back on, and I am confident it will help me again!.Version: 8.0

Great appGreat app.Version: 6.6

Very good. Minor stability issues. This is really great app. I have been using it standalone mode and have found it great at tracking calories consumed and burned. I also really like the reports that show fat:carb:ratios. Database is quite good, but can be a little time consuming to find the best match. Occasionally the app will exit when I click on a food item to add to my calories. However, it hasn't lost any data when I restart the app. Also I wish you could enter multiple serving sizes for custom foods..Version: 8.0

Excellent app!!Everything you need and want is in this app...Version: 7.2.1

ExcellentI credit this app for my 17kg weight loss. It helped me gain control of my eating habits and stay in control! I made all my friends buy it and if you want to change your lifestyle, you should too!! Dooooooooo it! If you are serious about healthy eating than this is definitely worth the money!.Version: 0

Great AppEasy to use, keeps me on track with my diet to help me reach my target weight..Version: 8.0

Tap & Track 4.3Excellent App. Use it every meal for tracking diet. Lost 5lbs in 6 weeks. After setting up a new item or a new reciepe. I would like to be able to input portions consumed by number of grams in the portion. Hope you will include in the next update..Version: 0

Tap & TrackHave very useful app. I use it everyday!.Version: 0

Good AppIt would be great if I could share food items/recipes I've entered manually..Version: 7.2.1

Works wellThanks for creating this.Version: 7.1

😊Love it !.Version: 7.2.1

Keeping on trackGood application, loving the graphs to see where I am at I use the custom button for foods because I find a lot of the basic food that I eat isn't there. I cross reference with the calorieking website that lists basic foods that you typically be eating while on a low fat diet, that takes time and cn be frustrating Any chance of putting a password protection on it? or at least a password protection on the profile page?.Version: 6.5

Expansive DatabaseReally nice that so many North American restaurants are listed...very good companion.Version: 8.0

Love itHowever, Apple is telling me it needs to be updated because it will slow down my phone. I am reporting this because if it doesn't get updated Apple will remove it from the store. And I don't want to see that happening because I will lose a ap I paid for and I like. Apple has done this to me with the last calorie counting app I had. When I got a new phone the application was gone and I could not get it back because Apple had removed the application..Version: 8.0

Great format, easy to use, does the jobPros: - Easy to use, easy navigation between screens. This is not trivial for a program used multiple times during the day. - Can switch between users within the program, you don't have to sign out and sign in again under a different name. This is an important time saver and a big plus for the program. - Tracks all the usual: nutrients, calories burned, weight Cons: - Needs an option to copy a day's worth of food to another day or to another user. I get tired of entering the same foods all the time. - Needs an iPad version that rotates with screen orientation..Version: 8.0

Awesome appAwesome app easy to use and motivates me to keep on top of the calories and do more exercise!.Version: 7.0

It worksI can only say that when I have used this app consistently and honestly, I have lost weight. Unfortunately, with travel and illness I have not kept all of it off. The 'in device' database is good and I like that I can enter my own recipes for ease of recording..Version: 8.0

Easy to navigate!Best weight loss app I've seen. So many of the weight tracking apps have too many steps and it gets confusing. Not Tap & Track. Very easy to use and you don't spend a lot of time trying to input your daily data. Worth every small dime I paid for it!.Version: 8.0

Brilliant App to Train Exercise/Eating Correlation! For the first time, I have a tool that effectively manages my caloric intake & output. It's great for people like me that don't already know the calorie count of everything, and it's making me much more aware of what it takes to burn off a night of careless eating and drinking. Kudos and thanks to the developers!.Version: 8.0

Great, easy appI have been using this religiously since the day I got it. Interface is clear, it's very easy to navigate & enter your data, and the analysis tools are fantastic. I'd love to be able to view Nutrition Reports for specifc mealtime categories only (eg. choose only "snack" category, choose a timeframe and get a nutrition breakdown & pie chart of just your snacks for the week or month etc.) Fantastic app..Version: 0

I have lost 15 kgs with Tap & Track!I have kept my weight off, which is fantastic, however, since the last update I have to restart my phone every day to get the date to refresh. That's kinda annoying..Version: 0

Effective and addictiveI have lost the 6 kilos that I couldn't lose with Weight Watchers using this app. If it doesn't have the food you eat in the database, add it yourself! After a while you'll find you don't need to cause we tend to eat the same stuff over and over.Version: 7.2.1

Love it!Fantastic! use it every day to track my weight loss and food consumption..Version: 7.2.1

Great appGreat app, very well put together and works well. BUT you can't use decimal points when adding your own foods!!! you need to round up or down, which makes that part of the app a waist of space!!! Apart from that the apps perfect in my opinion!.Version: 0

Good app works wellGood interface does what is says. Just one word of warning it does not have kilojoules only calories so I have also a units converter also on my phone. The other is the database is a USA focused but you can load your own custom food ready for latter use and it works well. I have used it for over a month and I am happy with it..Version: 7.1

Read the labels!I think that this app is very useful, gives you the option to add your own food, so if I don't find an item online I add it myself from reading the label. After all everybody have unique requirements and following different diets. Personally I help myself using this app, an oz calorie/ kilojoule book counter and The Zone Diet book... A perfect combination..Version: 0

Excellent, with one small nitpick...I customise the database a lot - in the the latest update the number pad has lost its decimal point, so you can't write 27.7, only 27 or 28 - why on earth?! Otherwise an excellent app, have kept food diaries in the past, this is much easier and better. You know instantly when you start eating too much (or too little), and you can do something about it, every day. Records exercise too - helps to keep the right balance. For me this app just works - have been using it just under a year, and have lost weight continuously. Highly recommended..Version: 0

Best app. For dietingIf you are looking to lose weight, this app really helps alot. Set the carbs to 60g a day and stick to it. Track everithing you eat and amount of exercise you do. You'll se the result. Personally i went to a dietician and he gave me some values to respect, i than let the app know and since than i always know when is enought. But i think they should add more cooking methods, maybe they should look at Italian kitchen and the plenty of simple ways of cooking food the have. Thanks.Version: 0

BrilliantTHANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU - not only is tap n track the best ever but your back-up and prompt response to my problem is amazing - problem solved so back on track - Helelala.Version: 8.0

Best app in the category by far. WILL THEY UPDATE?Apple says needs updating for iOS 11. Are they going to? Great app (see below), but useless if it will fail in a couple of months! I've tried several apps, and only this one works for me. Right balance between ease of use and detail. It's very easy to input data, and it keeps me motivated. I've lost over 90 lbs in a year using this, and I'm keeping it off. Great job! Keeps getting better!.Version: 8.0

Intelligent Healthy Lifestyle ToolVery impressed with the simplicity of this intelligent tool. Easy to use. It's suitable for beginners and advanced workout enthusiasts. The bottom line is, calories count when your goal is to shed on wanted fat. This tool perfect for bodybuilders and anyone wanting to control their macro nutrient ratios. I would highly recommend this tool. Download the pro version if you are serious about knowing your calorie intake and macro nutrition. Also if you prefer lbs. over kg. you need the pro version. Cheers. Only one compliant. The app has a tendency to crash periodically on initial tap to open app, it opens correctly on 2nd tap..Version: 7.2.1

The best keeps getting betterI have used this app since it's first release (see previous review) and the ongoing support and updates to customer reviews is a credit to the developers. One further suggestion for possible consideration is the ability to copy a previous days meals/food to the next or future days. This is for those who have a strict and set eating plan which doesent change much fro day to day; or set eating an for certain days of each week. Keep up the great work as this truely is the best of it's kind..Version: 0

Tracking calorie intakeOverall good app. It has a good range of food and meals to choose from. It does help to estimate calorie intake. I like best the ability to create my own meals and save favorites. Areas to improve: ability to track fat % and ability to integrate with fitness devices for a better estimate of calorie output.Version: 8.0

Very user friendlyMuch better than other apps of this type that I've used. User friendly and quick. My only complaint is that sometimes an item will come up and the amounts are for "serving size" but it doesn't tell you what the serving size is for that particular food. Great overall, though!.Version: 8.0

If you want to lose weight buy thisThis has revolutionised how, when and what I eat and has helped me stay on track with my diet and motivated to lose my first stone in weight in just 6 weeks alongside my diet class I go to. Yes it's US based but so easy to add your own foods and surprisingly I found many brands that other reviewers said weren't on here, well I found them. The charts make sure I don't weaken asiA only want to see the weight line continue to go down!!! So hope to lose my remaining stone in weight over the next couple of months. Thanks.Version: 0

DaveGood app and getting better with more non USA food options being added ... But still falls a little short on UK food choices.Version: 8.0

Good little app only realy setup for the US thow.A good little app for keeping track of day to day cal usage. The app however is realy setup for the US market if you are from elsewhere you will need to do a lot of data entry. If you don't mind needing to setup from scratch highly recommend good support and regularly updated. If you're after somthing that not so US focused you'll need to keep looking..Version: 0

Great AppI use it everyday. Couple of improvements needed: 1. Custom food menu burried deep down over 3 sub menus. Not convenient to enter your custom foods 2. "Previous items" not sorted - make it difficult to find items.Version: 0

JessicaEasy to use. Great idea. Although needs Aussie foods and when you exercise, you should have another bar that takes away from the calories consumed, just like the bar the shows your calorie intake. I would like to see an exercise bar or someway of knowing what my total exercise stats are for the day..Version: 0

Easy to useIf you stick to it u will loose weight.Version: 7.2.1

Really like it - only one thing , the email database function has never worked properlyIt just keeps getting better - by far the best tracking program I've used..Version: 0

Easy to use, good databaseThis app is simple to learn and has really helped me lose weight. The database of foods includes lots of brands, restaurants, and ethnic items. You can report portions as small as 1/8 of a serving and see calories adjust accordingly, define calories for recipes you make frequently, and categorize a mealtime other than the default label. For example, when I eat at 3 pm some days that is my dinner, not afternoon snack, and I can re-assign the default label to say dinner. The ability to customize a profile for your own changing metabolism and exercise is useful, because losing weight over time makes the body resistant. I wish there was more information available about what the Food Score is measuring and what target numbers to shoot for. Other than that, the developers have an excellent FAQ section and kindly answer users' Qs within a couple days..Version: 8.0

Great app!Cool.Version: 6.6

I love this software!I don't want to spend a lot of time tracking what I eat, and so I find Tap and Track's quick-add food and quick-add exercise features handy. I generally know the caloric contents of the foods I'm eating, so with this feature I'm good to go - no muss no fuss. They also have flexible reporting and the summary screen showing my remaining calories for the day. For those who wish to look up foods by restaurant, the list seems pretty comprehensive - even in Canada. Also you can track food details like fat, carbs and even things like sodium intake, but I generally don't have the time for that. I'm pleased with my weight loss so far. I find that being aware of my food and exercise levels and then making decisions based on that information is key. I give this software two thumbs up!.Version: 0

Tap and Track -Calorie CounterI've used this program with excellent results. There's one bug in the present version though: the database search doesn't work unless text auto completion is disabled in the preferences..Version: 8.0

UsefulI like the app it provides we poor dieters with a bit of dicipline by counting food value of the stuff we eat and drink Like other reviews I would like to see kjoules and more Australian food and the meal development to avoid having to add ingredients every time I know there are work arounds but we can wish.Version: 7.2.1

Great appReally love this app. Don't know why reviewer had problem entering data for previous days as you just tap the arrow on the info page to go to a previous day. Only 4 stars due to lack of UK foods in database & that you can't enter a particular number of grams, only fractions or numbers in the quantities. Also would be useful to use metric for food measurements but imperial in stones and pounds for weight; currently you have to choose metric or imperial throughout the app. Also could do with a few more categories in the favourite foods eg. cheese doesn't fit in meals, fruit &veg, sweets or baked goods! Would be useful perhaps to be able to make your own categories so you can organise as you want. Overall very useful app though..Version: 0

Almost Comprehensive but...This app is a joy to use. So many input methods make it very flexible. The developer is extremely responsive to enquiries. Quite UK and USA centric as would be expected but I'm assured that more Australia specific food brands will be added over time. Even without this it is easy to add foods of your own. I especially love the option to add recipes. This makes it possible to work out the details for a meal/snack using all ingredients and give it a custom label. For instance, a scrambled egg roll would include a roll, an egg, butter and perhaps some ketchup. These ingredients need only be entered once and given a label and can then be reused with a single entry. Genius. I'm sure there is a lot more I have to discover but so far I like what I have seen. ******** I wrote the above some time ago. however, I'm still waiting for the improved Aussie info . The headline for this update is "you've asked for it, we've done it". Disappointed to see we still cannot enter food values in KiloJoules as promised so long ago..Version: 6.5

ChubbyThis program is good although I would like to see more food types for NZ instead of just USA.Version: 0

GreatGreat app.Version: 0

Works for meThis app works very well for me but I struggle to find my sort of food in the database although it is improving - a more international flavour to the food choices would be really appreciated and it would be great to have healthier options come up first in lists eg grilled chicken. A way of searching restaurants by cuisine rather than just alphabetically may help those outside the us to find some standard items. Final point the weight chart does not seem to work any longer and the target dotted line does not respond to changing the target weight. Is it just me?.Version: 7.1

Good weight trackerI just use this app to keep track of my weight. Tried using it to count calories but that took to much time and got no real benefit from it. Daily weighing lets me know if I am eating to much or not. For exercises I didn't find an explanation to what the differences are between similar exercises and I don't think the calories burned are correct. In short it does a nice job of posting and tracking my weight, it even downloads into a spreadsheet. Neat but not necessary.Version: 8.0

Good App. Worth the 100 Nickels. This is a pretty good tool to monitor what I eat. It is much better than the other apps I have tried and is worth $5. I can find the foods I want to add in the data base most of the time, and when I can’t, I can create my own. The previous items list is handy. It is tracking my weight, proteins, sugars, sodium, fat, carbs, food score, food/exercise logs, and calories consumed/calories burned (I’m just now figuring out the syncing process). Suggestion: Phosphorus tracking. Including phosphorous in your data base, or even a calculating program that estimates it, would be huge for me (Important for kidney disease. I’ll give you another $2 for it!). Also, don’t ask for reviews until at least a week. I need time to see how it works and fits into my life. Definitely do not ask me everytime I turn it on. On the fence about buying this? Don’t be. Buy it..Version: 8.0

Love this!!!Love this App...couldn't make a stronger recommendation. So beneficial knowing how many calories go in and how many calories you need to burn in order to reach your goal weight!.Version: 0

Great appI've used others all free. This is the best I've seen. Sure don't mind paying for the best. How about adding Asian fruits. Like dragon fruit from Vietnam..Version: 8.0

Home screen app!I agree with many previous good reviews... Been using for a week now with no problems and it is on my home screen as it's used so regularly - almost adictive!! Only (small) gripe is it could do with being able to change the time of (food/exercise) entry as I am not able to always input the details straight away but would like to see what times I eat what & when I have trained etc. That may be a personal preference and I may have missed it, so if anyone can help I'd be grateful. Well worth the money otherwise..Version: 0

Very motivating!Great app! I recommend it to all my weight loss clients..Version: 0

Tap n trackDoes everyhing I want it to and faster than doing it online. Good range og foods and type of exercise. Even if most of the food is USA. I have downloaded a lot of these type of apps and this and one for photographing your food are the ones I use daily now. I like that I can add in Norwegian foods just by keying in the info from the nutritional information panel then it is there forever. I also like how you can key in your own recipe and it brings in the nutritional information for each ingredient and it saves it for future use..Version: 7.2.1

Love it!I've been trying everything to help me lose weight and this fabulous application can be credited for my first kilo loss! It's fantastic to have a tool to track everything you eat. I'm an Aussie so I have had to enter everything in myself so initially that was a hassle. Other that I love it! Highly recommend..Version: 0

Tap & TrackPretty extensive. It would be a great feature to be able to save my exercises like you can with foods and meals..Version: 7.2.1

Amazing app for the priceI too would like it to list more Australian foods and have a kJ to cal converter calculator built in. But in all other respects I find this to be a fully featured, comprehensive and easy to operate app that makes the difficult task of losing weight easier..Version: 7.2.1

GreatGreat little app - Thanks Would be great if you could have the option to change the 40:30:30 to whatever ratio you want to set..Version: 0

AwesomeUse everyday Its great. Would be cool if New Zealand food brands were in the database..Version: 0

FantasticBe great if you could set yre own % protein, carb, fat everything else grt quick and easy.Version: 0

Good appGood app for calories but points system is a bit off.Version: 8.0

Excellent appImproves every version I've been using it since 2009 and despite (because of?) a long gap between versions it has stayed on my home screen and has regular use My only criticism is the sync feature hasn't worked for a couple of years.Version: 8.0

Tap & trackOk, so some more uk foods in it's database would nice, but I find I eat week on week pretty much the same food. I quickly enter the food details from the packet while I'm cooking and it's then saved in your favourites for easy access next time. Once your food details are entered it's surprisingly easy to enter all of your meals. This handy app then gives you an overview of protein carbs fat etc and will even display it in a graph. You can email the log to yourself so you can analyse it or as I have done, up load it onto my body building blog. A great app for anyone serious about their diet..Version: 0

Best app out there!!Update 2 yrs later: In total I lost 65 lbs while using this app. I've gained 20lbs back so I'm using it again. I love this app. So helpful in keeping track. Update: I have been using the app since January and so far I have lost 34 lbs. This app let's me look at what a restaurant has and the calorie count BEFORE I get there. This allows me make a smart decision about my meal instead of getting carried away with something that looks good on the menu. I truly think this is the best app out there. You can build recipes and add items not listed very easily. I recommend it to all of my friends who are looking to lose weight or just maintain. This app is MUCH better than the free ones you can find!! I wish you could separate the portions differently but so far I've lost 10lbs. It helps keep me from snacking b/c I can see how many cals I have left for the day..Version: 8.0

Great!Love it! As others have said-more NZ food products would be great and the kilojule option..Version: 0

Perfect Calorie Counting ToolI couldn't imagine calorie counting without this app now. I no longer have to carry a food diary and a calorie book around with me everywhere as everything is convienently in my phone. Yes the nutritional info is for the US Market but I can't complain as I have simply added my own food and meals and this has become invaluable. I only occasionally use the stored database as a guide but it's handy for that purpose. I love that it adds your calories showing exactly what you have eaten and what you have remaining with the ability to add exercise to your daily calorie quota. This is my most used app and it has really helped with my calorie control as I hate going over the allowed amount now and if I do it actually encourages me to exercise to balance things out and get my daily total back on track. I have downloaded numerous calorie/diet apps and this is the only one I use and highly recommend, I cannot believe this isn't rated 5 stars by everyone, I love it, download it now!!!.Version: 0

Love, love this app!!The best thing about this app is, no need for wifi! It simple to use! Other apps that are similar have to much going on, and makes things confusing. The only thing I don't like is it does not sync with my iPad. Hope that changes soon. I have to double enter everything ..Version: 8.0

BrilliantHave been using this for the last couple of weeks and it is simply brilliant. Tracks everything and the huge data base means anything you consumer is either there or a clods equivalent. Look at it 3 times a day and have lost 4 kilos in a week.Version: 8.0

Super!I've been using this app since august 2011 and in six months it's helped me to lose 30lbs! It's fab! I can track what I've ate, and use the target daily calories to help me know when I can have a treat or not. I love being able to track my exercise and having a log when I've been the gym and how many calories burnt. Best thing is the weight tracker! Stores my weight each week and when I turn my iPhone to the side it shows it in graph form! Seing the pounds drop off and shows in my profile page my total weight loss is great! It's great motivation! Would defo recommend! R.Version: 7.2.1

My favourite diet app.I've tried several of these apps and this is the one that lets you record the basic data with the fewest taps. It also lets you export the data. It's just what I want. It helped me lose 20kg. Worth every penny!.Version: 8.0

Great AppAfter using this app for a week I am rather impressed. The restaurant database is huge. Suggestions: - More detail on database items: I have yet to find a restaurant item that includes the Sodium content of a item. - The ability to update/edit database items or create custom items. - The ability to overlay weight graph with the Log graph..Version: 0

Tap and trackUpdate: I am upgrading to 5 star because this is after trying many other apps still the very best way to track weight and be able to see how calories, exercise, and your weight interact. Once you figure out what food search term quirks it has it works extremely well and the graphs are very useful. Ignore the Apple update notices; it still works. Works reasonably well. Graph function for weight is helpful. Generally easy to use. Only problem is that when you type in a simple food name like "cream" it tends to list a lot of brand name complex products (like Miggles lowfat orange banana creme joysticks etc) first and foremost. It can be difficult to find simple generic items..Version: 8.2

Tap and trackGreat app. Looking forward to kilojoules option and would love to have some common nz foods in database. More userfriendly than other well known programmes and much quicker..Version: 0

Really useful app. Excellent! This is a really handy app for people on the go who are trying to lose weight. There is a wide selection of foods to choose from, and it includes the option to make your own recipes, with the exact amounts of each ingredient, and store them for later use. If you tend to have the same foods often, (as I do, for example porridge for breakfast on mist days), there is a useful memory for the previous dishes you picked, so no need to go back and search each time! There is also a really useful weight tracker with a graph that helps to show you how your weight is progressing, which is really motivating! All this, and it also calculates all the nutritional information and adds them up for you. So you can say goodbye to calorie counting, because this app does it for you!.Version: 0

The bestGreat app, love it! I have been using it for nearly a year now. It would be great if the weight chart could show further back, so I could view the past year of my weight tracking through the graph..Version: 7.0

Best calorie counting app on app store! This by far the best calorie app I've used on my iPod touch so far. It's simple to use and it's so easy to enter new foods. Ok it does take a while if you want to input lots of custom foods but it only took 2 hours for me to input all my favourite foods and I now have an app that can replace my online diet site that I pay £10 a month for!! Only thing I want to see is an option to back up all the data and I hope updates don't wipe it either.....Version: 0

Excellent and affordableThis is an excellent piece of work. It does everyhing I need and is very easy to use. As a veteran of several calorie tracking apps on different platforms, from Eric Sink's "Fitness Record" for the old Palm in 1998 to Pocket Diet Tracker for PocketPC in more recent years, I have a good idea of what's genuinely useful and what's underpowered... This app has everything except perhaps the Hollywood slickness of the Tapbots' fancy UI -- though not far behind them. Strongly recommended for the serious or casual dieter..Version: 0

Off to a great startIt's only been 8 days but this app has given me the incentive to exercise. Who would have thought that keeping a food diary would give such great results so fast. 2kg and only 8kg to go. Never mind about the Australian content, I look at the nutritional panel on everything anyhow. Great job guys, I look forward to further updates to make this good app even greater..Version: 0

Great start!I've gone through 4 different calorie tracking apps before I finally settled on this one. The design is nice and sleek, with graphing functionalities adding a nice touch. You are able to add your own food items easily, which is a feature I use often because I eat a lot of ethnic food that is hard to database. (LIVESTRONG doesn't have this feature, for example.) The only thing lacking is a large database for easy adds, but I don't really use those databases anyway because they're often wrong. Thanks guys! Please keep this app going!.Version: 0

Tap & TrackThis is a great little application but could be even better if it included a measurements section. Many people want to track inches/centimetres lost as well as weight changes. Also would be good to have more 'whole foods' rather than so many restaurant listings. Example: plain rolled oats, chicken breast. Allowance for before and after photos would also be good. Otherwise a great little app!.Version: 0

7kg in 7 weeksThis app had helped me lose 7kg in only 7 weeks. It's very easy to use and has great reports. The only major thing that I believe that it's missing is a way to record your measurement. The reason I would like to see this is being healthy is not only about the kg but also the cm..Version: 7.2.1

Would be a killer app with UK food searchVery easy to input your food & calories. The search database really needs to be made UK friendly. What is a chicken broiler? How big a portion is a cup? And finding bread is impossible, I have no idea what most of the breads in the database are. I find I spend a lot of time converting measurements and searching online with rival calorie counters from other companies. Shame really, because the app is simple to use. A couple more graphs would be good, maybe a message now and again telling me how well I'm doing might keep me motivated. It's certainly helped me keep track of my calorie intake and Ive slowly but surely lost weight, so it definitely helps. I now won't eat high calorie foods because I don't want to input the value. If I do, Im honest and tap it in, and surprise surprise, my weight will increase slightly. I give it a thumbs up in the hope the US developers will help us Brits out. Otherwise, the minute a UK friendly app comes along, unfortunately I'll be one of the first to sign up..Version: 0

Impressive weight loss toolThis is a really handy little app which works exactly as advertised. The ability to add and 'favourite' particular foods means that this app becomes more useful the more you use it. Would be great to have kilojoules as well as calories, but that's only a minor gripe about an otherwise excellent app..Version: 0

Useful tool and don't have to sign up for anythingI find it useful and reasonably easy to use. One of the best points for me is you can just buy it and use it. It doesn't require you to sign up create an account give email, date of birth....... and you can even use off line. Apple gives a warning that it needs a update to work with upcoming versions of ios so hopefully a update is coming..Version: 8.0

DissapointingAwesome app however the second time I went to opened it wouldn't open so not happy at all..Version: 0

Great app!Great app. Being able to create individual menu items from scratch is one of the best features in this app. This is especially important for folks with vegan diets since there aren't many database items specifically for vegetarians..Version: 8.0

Good appGood app, as previously mentioned, the custom foods ui is a bit lacking, and the menus are a little sparse, but much easier to use than daily burn (which had about 50 choices for each food lol)..Version: 0

Life SaverAfter heart surgery years ago, this app has literally saved my life. I’ve seen nothing that compares. Now whenever I inch up a few pounds I use this app to get back in line. Makes it so easy..Version: 8.2

Great productI like the integration of objective (kg per wee of weight loss), with intake (what I eat) and excercise (increasing intake allowance). I have used it for one month with a goal of 1kg per week loss. I just entered what I ate and what exercise I did and weighed myself only once per week. I lost exactly 1 kg per week! My only comment is that the food database is so heavily "americanised" and has too much junk / packaged stuff that it gets hard to find basic fresh ingredients...Version: 0

Minor issuesGreat app but I am surprised they have not included some basic sports like boxing. I am also confused when I search for an item like banana it brings multiple results with one being of a different size or portion but when I search bananas (with an s) it brings up the one and has in it a way to select size and number. It happens to other search results and may get confusing. It's just a minor organization and consolidation issue. Also not enough using if measurements. Finally, I'm not sure, but I wish there was a units converter in app to help if a product has a different unit than what the app offers like almond breeze milk servings is in cups but in app it is in fluid ounces..Version: 8.0

Few quibbles but overall, nice app! This is a well-produced nice-looking app that is great for iPod touches in particlular, as it doesn't need an internet connection to access its food databaste (a major, major plus!). However, it gave me a few screwy results – initally it recommended that I eat 734 calories a day, which is far too low for an adult. Also, many of the food items are still only listed in US cups with not much fine adjustment of amounts possible, so I often ended up adding my own food items for stuff already in the database. If the author could license a UK/metric food database this would be fantastic. My final quibble is that if you choose metric (SI) units, you have to use them throughout. Like lots of people I think of my weight in pounds and stones and food in a mixture of grams and ounces, so a bit of thought needed there. Overall though it's a nice, professional application that's very convenient..Version: 0

Tap & TrackUseful tool. Works for me. Worth spending some time learning how to use it. When searching for fresh food items 'raw' is a useful word. Writing 'orange' or 'tomato' brings up 19 million different processed foods. Including raw brings up real food. An Australian version would be even better. Didn't back up on iTunes so lost 4 months data and recipes after temporarily removing it from my iPhone. Makes keeping a food and activity diary easy..Version: 0

Good appMost portions are US i.e. 1 cup, it would improve the app to have more UK portion sizes. It also needs more UK foods. Some of the options are a little strange i.e. Chicken, roasting, meat, raw! The database of foods is quite extensive though. It would be good to specify diet type i.e. WeightWatchers etc. Like the graphs, and would like to be able to enter wright in st and lbs rather than lbs or kgs. It's a good app for the price. One thing I'd like to see added is ability to record inches, i.e. Measurement for hips, waist & chest. Sometimes you don't lose as much weight as you tone up and it would be great to see this included. Please Developers, hear my plea!.Version: 0

GreatBut I hope they still support it!.Version: 7.2.1

Very good application. Simple and effectivePerfect to use as a food diary and to find out how many calories there are in things before you decide to indulge. A bit Americanised but you can get around this by quickly putting in your favourites. Covers alcohol as well as food. I think this app will help people lose weight as a food diary is a recognised way of improving your diet. Impressed at the exercise lists and the deduction of how much you have exercised from your total calorie count. All in all a very good application..Version: 0

Nice appEasy to use, decent database, easy to add own favourites and recipes. Good to use!.Version: 8.0

Simple and easyWhen it come to tracking food and calorie intake, you dont really want something too fussy and hard to use! this is simple enough if you only want to keep track of how many calorie in total you've had. And if you want to keep track of more detail, its easy enough to do so too! Weigh watcher diet can be easily combined with this app with "food point". would be better if there's not so many US fastfood and restaurant chains in the data base, not applicable in other countries, AND if you're on a diet eating fastfood is def a no-no I dont think the exercise log truly reflex the calorie burned though, and i dont think you can actually eat more if you've been exercising, not if you're trying to lose weight anyway. however overall this is great app!.Version: 0

Excellent assistant.Just a convenient all round calculator and log app. And not needing to update from internet source is ideal when working in low/no reception areas. Extremely happy with this app..Version: 7.2.1

Tap and TrackExcellent tool for tracking calories and nutrition to meet weight loss and nutrition goals..Version: 8.0

Overall - great application!Have to agree with others lamenting on the lack of aussie foods... But love the ability to add my own foods and combinations. Once you build up your own database of favourites (and we all tend to stick to our favourite brands, dont we?), its a breeze to use. Yes, it has limited use when I go out, but watching one's weight unfortunately means eating out is not always a great idea anyway.. one suggestion - can we PLEASE have Protein intake info on the main screen rather than Food Score?? Whats a Food Score anyway? Also, would love to have an option of adding food from my own database by gramms. not only servings or part of it. Still, for me its a great application - love it and use it every day..Version: 0

Very good, but very AmericanAn excellent app that does the job very well, I'm mostly extremely satisfied. The app now sits on my home screen and I use it after every meal... I think it will genuinely help me lose weight (this coming from an 18st bloke), and I'm finding it mostly easy enough to use that I haven't given up using it after over a week (which, for me, is pretty good going!) However I am finding myself putting in nutritional values for a large number of foodstuffs, or attempting to find a US brand equivalent, or just guessing at various items due to the in-built items having a significant and irritating American bias. A suggestion would be to be able to share custom food items with other users (or pool sets of country-specific custom items as additional in-app downloads or something) so us UK users could more easily find what's relevant to us without each of us having to put lots of stuff in by hand. I'd also like to see the ability to pan & zoom on the weight/calorie charts, and/or set specific start & end dates. I'll admit I've only had the app a little while so it may well have these features, I don't know..Version: 0

How many Carbs?!!!!I'm really enjoying tracking my food each day using this app. It does contain a lot of American info but all our big names in the UK are there, Asda, Tesco, Sainsbury's etc & loads more. I love the daily breakdown of Carbs, Fats & Protein. I have been really surprised at how much Carbs I intake each day & how little protein!!! I've tried other apps but this beats them hands down. It's much cheaper than joining WW & if you are serious about losing weight & increasing exercise, this is for you. You can even enter your housework chores for calories burnt!!.Version: 7.0
