✓ Pretty Aight but...I really like to go and animate on here but, not sure if this is intentional but when you put in color there are weird dots of other colors in there, maybe solid colors would be cool too! Or maybe an option for that and blending :D I’ve been having the most trouble with reading comments on my animations, which I have been dying to read! ✓ Almost perfect!I think this is the easiest animation app on the app store! Although what I do not like is that there is no way to have a different background on each slide. This means you cannot make an animation where you move pieces as you take photos and put them together on the app. If this was to change I would rate 5 stars! I recommend this..Version: 1.8.5
✓ Smooth, Intuitive, fast & functionalI use this app all the time. Can turn ideas into visions in minutes. Limitless potential. It would be cool to import sound files from itunes, and edit in the music portion; perhaps with a track of overdub. Also the ability to copy/paste other animations into one file...or choose iterations...or import produced vids back into working project files. many are small loops. ✓ Windows Gif maker on your iPod.I make animations on the computer for fun and have created many of them, but then I put in 'animation' on the app store and it comes up with this. ✓ It's missing one thingI love this app, but it's extremely hard to use, as a matter of fact, I create my frames on another app, and then import them to this app. The rotation is an issue, I think that if it had an interference like that of ibis paint x, it would be a lot easier to use on an iPhone. ✓ Creativity is all you need BUT 3 issues I'd like to see fixedThere are a couple issues I've run into so far. 1st thing is when u receive an alert or message/call, the last thing you had edited on, in your work, is unable to be undone. 2nd thing is if you want to go into your photos or even google photos, the whole app crashes and launches you from the main menu. This can get frustrating if you are looking for examples. 3rd and last of all, i have not yet found a way to take a part of an image and rotate it. Only the whole image will rotate. Hard to get smooth flowing animation when you want to cut and paste. Other than that, this app is a cartoonists dream!.Version: 1.17.3

✓ Outstanding!I had a few problems with earlier versions of this app, but this latest version is simply amazing. The redesigned interface is lovely. It is a fully functioning animation suite. So impressive. Just please, please get a new logo. The former king of animation on iphone 'flipbook' has a much better icon. This 'AC' looks cheap and although this sounds trivial, as this acts as your package display and draw to the product, it can make a big difference in terms of attracting customers. ✓ CoolGreat the best animation creator app presently on the iPhone. I have made about 10 animations I have flash cs4 on my computer and this basically flash without the ability to make games and that flash is 100's of pounds yet this app is 59p tips for the dev's - perhaps neon tools - new menu skins (different colours ect) - stamps - paint bucket Also you need to fix the unexpected quit most of the animation apps I have do this anyway but luckily this app auto saves unlike the others where you lose it all but still fixe the bug pls :).Version: 0
✓ Pretty goodOk, so this is a pretty good app. I like making animations and this app is a lot better than some of the other ones. Just two things. One, it would be great if you could blur or smudge. The other one is that I wish you could save colors! Like when you use a color, I wish you could drag it onto your color pallet. This issue has been really frustrating for me, and I’ve messed up so many times because you have to match the color exactly so it blends in. If this actually is a feature on this app, please make it easier to access. I’m begging you to make an update in which you fix this. ✓ Crash Updates, Extras and Bug Fixes pleaseThis app is pretty amazing and simple though i would suggest that more brush styles and better quality is needed. the app is a bit outdated but i love the full version. with bug fixes i would like to make it easier to paste images without having the whole screen turn around weirdly and have my picture end up being cropped badly. also, whenever i use the move tool or the box drag/distort thing it always makes the drawing super pixalated and blurry so please fix that and try to fix crash updates too, it crashes and it doesnt save thanks.Version: 1.18.0

✓ AnimationsI downloaded this app because I thought it would save the time of drawing out tons of pictures or spending hundreds of pounds on a real animation maker, although in the end I didn't make any animations for months because I simply couldn't work out how to do it, maybe they should think about creating some simple instructions! ✓ Wonderful but tediousGreat program with almost all the needed functions. Best animation program I have found (both mobile and computer) besides Adobe Flash. Easy to edit/add+delete/move frames. Good pen options with easy erase/draw swapping. All tools and settings are extremely clear and easy to figure out. Ability to save as frames or video is very useful. Strange community layout/browsing, but it is available. Pen draws smoothly. However has no canvas rotation meaning you have to turn your entire machine to change the angle, and a dodgy zoom function. If you're viewing the grey space around your canvas and zoom (in or out), it automatically centres your drawing and zooms out to the default zoom. Extremely tedious to have to constantly re-zoom and turn entire machine. Layer editing (merge/delete/etc) is also a little strange when compared to other digital art programs. This isn't a fault, but may be confusing to people who have become used to certain layer functions. Example; you can only merge visible layers (no "merge down" function). No clipping or transparency lock. Buttons to move layers up and down rather than dragging (difficult if you want to make the top layer the bottom layer). In my opinion layers are too basic considering how necessary they are for animating. Five stars, even with its faults, because it is as good as most $200 drawing programs..Version: 1.16.6

Works really well in my iPhone 4 and the adaptive timeline is really good but the standout is the drawing tools as they are rock solid. The only bug I've experienced on iOS5 is when I import a background image. Once done the menu bars get offset south by about half their height.(notification bar?) I'd like to see; The ability to make a layer go the full timeline. This would improve backgrounds no end. If a layer is added, it should exist the full timeline and not have to add it on every frame? Maybe some gestures to navigate frames, add them eyc would improve small screen mode? Landscape? Overall well worth the pennies I spent on it. Buy it.Version: 1.10.2

✓ Very niceI love the paid version, was definitely worth it. I’ve created some very cool short animations. It’s easy to use and overall just fun to play around with. Two things I would improve is the undo button, easy to miss, you end up animating dots on the screen by accident, and color palette. Maybe this is just me, but i have no idea how to save colors, so if i want to animate a colored animation i have to wait until I’ve animated everything before coloring it in because my colors don’t save. ✓ DecentThis is the only software ive found (for a reasonable price) for stitching photos together. I found the painting part crap so i make cartoons by taking photos of drawings nd using photo tool to apply them to each frame. My problem with this app is the paint bucket tool, which isnt anywhere near tolerant enough, it should have the tolerance of the one on photoshop. The reason this is important to me is because i wud like to have the checkered around my drawings so that i can then hav a background. Also i buy this full version yet i can only have 3 audio clips on the one frame.Version: 1.11

It provides the fundamental tools needed to do 2D animation without any fancy ones that would clutter up the small screen on a smart phone. I highly recommend this app for any animator that wants a way to animate on-the-fly as one might sketch in a portable sketchbook. With those features it would be a 5 star app. Also a suggestion to make this the ultimate app, and I would also pay extra for this feature is; the option to record movements for the animation, for example if you wanted to move a object it would give you the option to select it, there would be a record button, and it would record you moving it around. ✓ Great appFirstly, I'd like to mention that when I first installed this app something went wrong which forced me to reset my iPod. Luckily I had it backed up so I didn't lose anything. Anyway, that probably isn't the apps fault. Now to tha actual review; it's a great app but it does take a lot of patience if you want your animation to look good. A few improvements; instead of having to make your own pictures there could be stickers(or something of the like) with predrawn objects. It would save time and look more professional. Sound effects would also greatly improve the fun you can have with this app..Version: 0

Easier copying and scaling of frames should be available; the current one is a bit difficult and time consuming to use, a simple pinch to scale a frame would be much easier. This could be done with a background layer that doesn't crop outside the canvas, making a moving background far easier to achieve. Also the ability to choose the exact resolution size would be great. So say I was drawing a circle over and over again with one stroke and I accidentally tapped the screen, everything that I drew on my previous stroke will disappear like it never happened! If you still don't understand, get the app Spray Can and doodle and zoom in and out! In just a few hours I was able to figure out layers, backdrop, and adding audio. In a month of usage, I’ve had no crashes or other issues. It would be nice if the app would allow background changes and allow import of audio files (I’m a musician with synth pop band Dyed Emotions, and I’ve been trying to create animations to go with some of my original music). ✓ A few suggestionsOk, I like the app, it's pretty good, but I do have some suggestions.. 1. Canvas Rotation When drawing the frames, I think it would be easier to do if we could rotate the canvas. When I use drawing apps, I always rotate the canvas a little bit from time to time to make it easier to make the drawing. 2. Symmetry Ruler I use a symmetry ruler almost all the time when I draw, it would be easier to make some drawings if I could use a symmetry ruler. 3. More Brushes There's a very limited amount of brushes to work with, and we could make higher quality animations with better brushes lol I'll probably give it a 5 star if at least one of these things is added, cus I can make better animations/drawings with them, but of course, you don't have to add them, they're just some suggestions. ✓ Excellence. Perfection. Creativity.I’ve used this app since 2012, and I must say, it’s the best freestyle original draw-to-animate application that exists today. It’s all up to YOU how well you utilize it. The use of copy and paste is astounding. It has helped me repeat drawings that only happened once in perfect quality. I could just paste that perfectly drawn hand, or face, that couldn’t be recreated as well as the first time. What I realize will make this app perfect in its entirety is the ability to “mirror cropped sections.” I realize I’m the kind of person who, because I’m left handed, can’t seem to draw characters facing left, only facing right. The ability to “select and mirror” revolutionize Animation Creator. I’m in the process of creating my first Sonic the Hedgehog animation. I do hope you’ll put in a mirror tool for cropped selections soon, so that drawing hands, eyes, eyebrows, ears, feet, anything in pairs, is symmetrical and much easier to recreate!!! ✓ Please fix this?^^ + old suggestionEditing my review p2 to say there’s a new glitch that’s quit annoying. basically after I draw a layer, I go to merge them but then some of the layers disappear. Right now I only had to merge 2 layers, and it only just made the second layer disappear leaving me only the second layer. Luckily this particular drawing the layer was just lines I can redo easily. But if it were some detailed layer for something, this can obviously be a bad thing since those layers (cause like I said sometimes I think it’s multiple layer disappearing) could’ve taken a long time for a person to draw, then they have to redo it all over again and then worry about ‘what if attempting to merge it again does the same thing’, then they’ll have to duplicate the page, and it’s just a whole hassle, Ya’know? I’m just afraid I’d possibly forget to duplicate and then hard work of mine gets poofed, so I was wondering if you could fix it just so the hassle is avoided. edit:still would like the trash idea so you can undelete animations if it was an accident..Version: 1.19.4
