TeachMe: 1st Grade for Positive User Reviews

Great appThis is a great app. I already had teach me toddler and all 3 kids loved it. Two of my kiddos have autism and are really just beginning to vocalize. I thought this app might be a little too advanced but decided to give it a try. They love it. They are already doing the math and spelling. I am amazed at how much they love this app and how much they use it. I plan to recommend it to everyone!.Version: 3.0.1

A GREAT APP! with 1 Glitch, please fix.....My son, age 6, has LOVED this App. He has the kindergarten and 1st grade versions. He loves to earn coins and "buy" rewards. If he spends all the coins, he says "Well I have to go back to school!" Such a great lesson the learn. I have only found 1 glitch on the 1st Grade level. When he needs to write the "arm", it never accepts the letter "m". I've tried to write for him and it doesn't accept any attempt, Capitol letter, lower case, different kinds of strokes. He gets REALLY frustrated and just turns it off to play something else. Please fix this glitch and the App be PERFECT!!.Version: 3.2

Improve on perfection?I love this app!! It is fabulous for my special needs son. There is one thing that could make it even better… allowing the option to take out the "handwriting component". My son is struggling to learn. When handwriting is combined with the skill of spelling or math it overwhelms him. Often he gets the answer correct but can't get the program to 'recognize' his answer due to handwriting quirks. I would love to see handwriting as a separate category with the option to have the student answer questions either in handwriting or by selecting the answer on a keyboard. Otherwise, I think the app is wonderful and would highly recommend it! Thank you..Version: 3.0.1

Well worth the money!I never write reviews, but this one deserves 5 stars. I have the 1st grade for my 6 year old and the toddler version for my 4 year old. Challenging enough for them to learn. Easy enough for them to operate by themselves. Fun enough for them to ask "can I do school on your phone?". The rewards r age appropriate and motivating. Well done! I can't think of anything I would change..Version: 3.0.1

ExcellentMy son is working on his spelling and word recognition over the summer and I am happy to say, he's loving earning rewards through this app. He also recently broke his arm and is learning to write left handed for a few weeks. The writing recognition part is no problem for him. He knows when it doesn't look right and very easily hits the eraser button and tries again!.Version: 3.3

A household favorite.I am very impressed with the quality of this app. Yes, the handwriting recognition is not perfect, but it is far superior to requiring me daughter to type in her answers. Overall, it is actually pretty forgiving of little hands' imperfect letters. Some things we like: This app let's you control how many times a student must answer each question before it is marked as "learned." The rewards system is simple, but effective. There are no timers. A real voice asks the questions. As opposed to those horrible computer voices that are very difficult for young child's to understand. My daughter wakes me up in the morning asking to play it. This is the ONLY educational app where this has been the case..Version: 3.2

GreatHave used this on a friends iPad so know it's good! Well worth the cost!.Version: 3.0.1

Terrific!I am so impressed with the quality apps from 24x7digital. TeachMe: 1st Grade continues the terrific learning, entertainment and engaging elements of TeachMe: Kindergarten and TeachMe: Toddler. The new character recognition tool added to this app is instruction and fun. It is a terrific instructional scaffolding tool perfect for children. The feedback is intuitive and helpful. As a mom and preschool/early childhood educational consultant I have high standards for technology that promises learning and entertainment with a seamless delivery. TeachMe: 1st grade delivers on all levels. This is another great product from skilled developers. Kids and parents will love this app! Highly recommended..Version: 1.1

Super amazingThis app has been a favorite of my daughters. It uses creative and fun ways to teach skills to children. This was worth every penny spent! I was so happy to find a first grade app also. Our daughter plays both. Not only does this app teach skills but also how to save money. Our daughter loves to save her coin rewards for bigger reward stickers! GREAT JOB A++++++ Will you create a second grade app?.Version: 3.0.1

Great app, with lots of kid-pleasing featuresI bought this app for my first grader, who is good with arithmetic but needed practice on spelling. She likes it a lot---she's obsessed with getting coins to buy fish food to feed her fish. The app has four categories it tests: addition, subtraction, spelling and recognizing sight words. The fact that it lets kids use their own handwriting turns out to be a really nice feature. The math is a little on the easy side at the beginning, but apparently it is possible to increase the difficulty. We haven't tried that yet. The only complaint I had was that finding the settings were not intuitive, but an email to the developer was answered within about an hour --- on a Sunday! (To access the settings for each player, click on the list of players and then drill down to a list of settings. ) in particular, it is possible to have this only test spelling, or only arithmetic, or a mixture of both. Overall, I think it's a great app. Absolutely worth the money. One of the best educational apps I've bought, especially for this age group..Version: 3.0.1

So Good, would be Super if it included time & currency.I was amazed when I found this application at the end of our first grade year. My favorite part was that the kids actually got to enter the answer using their finger or stylus instead of selecting from a list of prepared answers - such good feedback on neatness and actually knowing the answer. If it included time & currency then it would be an excellent all around tool for learning & reviewing. It could also move along a little faster, my kids have short attention spans for anything truly educational and the time it takes to deposit the coins has them ready to move onto something else. But an excellent product for the price..Version: 3.2

This App is 10 Star!!!My first grade 6 year old child has learnt the most with this App! No other app matches to this one. Lots of reward system. Very educational! My son is addicted to this & doesn't even realize that he has learnt so much! Levels go up at the right pace. Hope they come out with 2nd grade. I hope they incorporate more subjects like time, money, science & social studies. At least time & money. Thanks for such a wonderful App!.Version: 3.0.1

Teach me 1st GradeAgain I love this program... The visuals are amazing for children including those with special needs. Being a parent of a special needs child it's very hard to find programs. This one is also on the top of my Favourites.... Any chance you will make another math app counting up to 100 with adding and subtracting using visuals???? Also love how you did the Dolch words, and spelling.... Amazing program in my books!!! Well Done!!!.Version: 1.1

British English? My little sister really loves the British Voice on the preschool one if it was possible to get that on the other ones that would just make her day great app otherwise ❤️👌🏻.Version: 4.0.4

TeachMe 1st Grade Rocks!I originally got the iPad for grown up business stuff but quickly saw how great a touch screen is in empowering little kids to learn. The iPad UI is fantastic - thank and God Bless you Apple & Steve. Now onto the TeachMe apps. I love these apps and so do my kids. We have them all; Toddler, Kindergarten, 1st Grade and they all rock. Math, spelling, sight words, listening and handwriting all rolled into 1 fun and educational package. A really nice feature is the ability to set how many answers they need to get right before earning a virtual coin and going off to the virtual store to buy virtual prizes - no need to worry about any in app purchase rip off. The app motivates, educates, teaches some very fundamental financial literacy and tracks progress! At last count I had over 560 apps - the majority for my kids - so much for all that grown up stuff - maybe Santa will bring me my very one iPad 3:). In any event these apps are worth every penny. My kids love these apps as much as Where's My Water and other pure gaming apps. That says it all. Thank you 24x7 digital, you guys rock!.Version: 3.0.1

Great gameI've downloaded dozens of learning games for my kids and the Teach Me group outshines all of them. My kids started playing them before they could even speak, and now at 4 and 5 years old they are miles ahead of any of their classmates. They can both read, spell and do math that other kids years ahead of them can't do. The careful, and gradual steps it takes to teach difficult concepts are genius and they have tons of fun doing it. Even the coin reward system helps to teach them the value of saving money. Fantastic learning tool. If I had one criticism though, I would suggest altering the way the programs let the kids know they've given a wrong answer. The negative sound effect and red X have become something they both dread, to the point that it turns them off the game if they get one. My eldest refuses to even be in the room when my youngest plays for fear he'll hear the sound. I think a better way would be a voice that just says "try again" or an option to turn the sound off, or provide your own sounds, or something along those lines..Version: 3.2

Highly Engaging, Fun App for Kids to Learn Basic Math/SpellingWe started out on the Kindergarten version which we loved, and moved on to the First Grade app. Well, this app definitely lives up to the kindergarten version. My kid will happily "play" this app. It can be a little frustrating for her with the letter recognition not recognizing her letters--but it certainly has made her a more careful writer! And again, like the kindergarten app, this is a nice mix of reinforced learning, play and rewards. Well worth the price!.Version: 3.0.1

ExcellentMy girlfriend is an elementary school teacher and they use this at her school for the grade ones. I downloaded this for my 6 year old daughter and it is excellent. She loves it so much that she has created four accounts, one for each of he favorite stuffed animals and she switches between them trying to outdo the skill level of the last round she played. The incentives are well implemented. The print recognition is excellent, works very well..Version: 3.0.1

Fantastic!I love this app! We have many apps for our kids .. And have "folders" of educational ones and this is by far the best. My girls are 4 1/2 and 7 and I found this level works well for both (albeit a tad challenging for the younger one). My younger one can already sound out simple words - if ur child is not quite at that stage, I would suggest the Kinder level instead. The girls are very motivated by the coin system and they are captivated by the game for ages!.Version: 3.2

FantasticMy six year old daughter loves it! Great content, she loves earning coins to buy rewards. Best 99cents spent..Version: 3.0.1

MrsMy 2 yr old boy loves this game and my 5 year old girl and my 8 year old girl I wish you had a another game for school age from grade 2 and up they would learn so much and school would be easier for them. Thank you my kids love it:).Version: 2.0

WONDERFUL!!I don't usually review in all caps, but felt it was appropriate for Teach Me. I have a 4 year-old boy who, like many boys his age, is struggling a bit with language. (this is compounded by the fact that we have him in a Mandarin immersion program, but that's another story). Since I handed him my iPhone with Teach Me, he's been engrossed with learning. Unlike many other game-based learning apps, this one doesn't result in burn-out after 5 minutes. He can easily go for 30 minutes if I let him. It's a vivid example of the love of learning in action. The app is robust and deep. He's been using this game now for about 15 minutes a day (during our drive to school) for the last two weeks. And he still has a ways to go. It's clear that there has been significant attention to detail when designing the app. Someone on the team at this company "gets it" when it comes to early childhood learning. The star leveling system, the piggy bank and aquarium pet store rewards are brilliant. 99 cents was a bargain. I hope you guys are working on Teach Me 2nd Grade!! Thank You!!.Version: 1.1

It Really Works! We started with the Kindergarten app and my daughter loved it. Now that she's in first grade and we've graduated to the next level, she loves it even more. It's easily one of her favorite apps on the iPad. She's shown a remarkable improvement in math and writing. I can basically leave her alone with it and she'll play for an hour straight just to get enough coins to fill up her fish tank. I hope they release a 2nd grade version for next year..Version: 3.0.1

Quite a nice app for priceBoth my sons like this app. My younger son while very bright has poor handwriting so there is a feature where you can enable a keyboard so he can select the correct number or letter. I totally relate to feedback that handwriting can be frustrating. My 7 yo has trouble on second grade app with his handwriting being recognized but again for them to both be practicing math, reading, etc on an inexpensive app - especially one that does NOT require additional in app purchase makes this an awesome app. SO many of these educational games require An in app purchase that when your kid reaches a certain level you have to pay another $5-10..Version: 3.2

The best game yet!!This series of Apps are my daughters favourites, loves the rewards system. Will play for hours if we let her. She describes it as the best game yet!.Version: 3.0.1

Awesome learning app!!I am SO impressed with this educational app, and the amount of details and work they clearly put into it. My daughter loves it and is actually upstairs right now continuing to play it so she can win more points. There are four sections in this app: Math - addition and subtraction; Dolce words - both sight words and getting the child to spell. When she does it correctly, she wins a point. After three points, she wins a coin and she can 'spend' her coins in the Shape Store, the Fish Store or the Art Store where she can 'buy' stickers, fish or shapes - and the fish actually swim around, you can buy food for them and feed them, etc. I was so impressed with this app that I bought the JK one for my son. The kids love it so much that they fight over who gets to play with it next - little do they know how much they're learning while they use it. My daughter, who usually hates homework, has been now playing it for over an hour. She's seven. Thank you and I hope you do more apps for older grades too!!.Version: 3.0.1

Daughter loves it and so do I!I have tried many learning apps with my now six year old. This one wins hands down. TeachMe is easy for her to use and provides the right amount of challenge to ensure she learns the concepts, but is exciting enough for her to enjoy the process. I have always had a difficult time convincing her to sit down and learn because she would become very frustrated. Now, she is growing in confidence and loves earning rewards!.Version: 3.2

Great app!Really good app, hope there is a second grade coming aswell!.Version: 3.0.1

Love it!!Brilliant app. We love the incentive to collect rewards. Would be better if voiceover was able to be altered for different languages. But thats the only issue.Version: 3.2

Very Helpful - Runs at Child's PaceMy son is 4.5 and he just loves this application. He was doing very well in Math and finished the kindergarten set a month back. I was worried about letting him try this first grade app, but things have been going very well so far. He has learnt to write numbers better and mentally solve simple figures. I'm amazed by the depth of conceptual understanding reinforced by this app which we witness in our day to day life and play. One last thing, my son is just so-so with reading and phonics, so we've just tip-toed around letters for the longest time. This app lets him learn at his own pace, which is currently just getting familiar with first, middle, and last sounds and very basic sight words. In fact he would have avoided any reading altogether if it were not for the cool silly band awards! Well done!!!.Version: 3.0.1

FantasticMy 6 year old loves this app. It has a great ratio of reinforcement and a variety of ways to spend the coins to maintain interest. She is practicing skills that she needs for school success and enjoying it. I especially love the feature where you can write the answer. My child struggles with letter reversals and I think this is really helping. Sometimes, the writing portion is a bit finicky, but I am very pleased with this app..Version: 3.0.1

WONDERFUL learning AND fun appI don't review apps often and feel moved to let creators and potential buyers know how great this app is. It is rich in so many aspects. Word recognition, basic math skills, writing letters and numbers all linked to a nice incentive "store" where kids can buy an aquarium, as one choice, and keep adding to it. My 6 year old uses it daily on his own. Very encouraging, clear voices. Easy app to operate and really does help kids master some important skills in a kind, fun environment. Wish more kid learning apps were half this good. Thank you for creating it..Version: 1.1

Highly recommendFantastic app! Very well designed and sensibly thought out, with options to practice writing skills or keyboard recognition, and the rewards are engaging enough that my son loves to play it. Highly recommend all of the TeachMe apps, they are favourites in this house..Version: 3.3

Great appThis application is great . my daughter spends several hours to learn math and writing. I have bought three version of this app{Toddler, kindergarten, and 1st Grade}The last one is the best because kids can spend points to purchase their favourite items. Please add DIVISION and MULTIPLY to math section..Version: 2.0

Great app!We love all the Teach Me apps. My 6 year old daughter just finished Teach Me 1st Grade and it was a great way for her to review math, spelling, and sight words. We've just downloaded 2nd Grade and I'm sure my daughter is going to be so excited to use it. My 3 year old son worked through Teach Me Toddler and also loves Teach Me Kindergarten even though he can't do the sight words section on that one yet. Can't say enough good about this app..Version: 4.0.1

Great little appThis app has lots of great stuff for your kids. Great learning across early math and English topics. One suggestion would be to optionally disable some of the audio prompts as they can get annoying and time consuming for the child. The sound you get a coin would be an example of this..Version: 4.0.1

A nice educational app at a nice priceI purchased this for my seven-year-old to use on my iPod Touch from time to time. I wanted something to give a little boost to her math and reading comprehension. Initially, there was some frustration - the character recognition isn't very good, but I realized that my daughter was not writing her letters in the standard way. It actually helped her improve her letter-creating, both upper and lower case. The math is also good, and has improved her grasp at subtraction. Motiviation comes from winning coins that you can then use to fill an aquarium with fish is great incentive for small children The things I didn't like so much: 1) I see a lot of repetition - the player is asked to spell the same words over and over. Maybe not a bad thing, but a bit more diversity would be good. I am not sure if things get more difficult as they progress to higher levels. 2) I wish there was a grade-2 version of the game.Version: 1.1

Loving itBought this app for my 6 year oldstand he loves it! First thing in the morning he wants to play it and first thing after school he is begging for the phone. A great learning tool and very addicting! This is one great app!! Way to go! Hope you can make a grade 2 version soon! Highly recommended..Version: 3.0.1

Awesome AppThis is a very comprehensive educational app. Children learn math skills (add/subtract), spelling, recognizing sight words and proper writing. The child has to spell the words or answer the math equation correctly by writing their answer. The coins earned as a reward can be spent on stickers for a scene. So this actually gives them some skills with earning and spending. I havent taken the time to rate other apps but this one is so good I had to. Worth every cent and more. I wish there was a 2nd grade level!!!.Version: 1.1

Great practice/review toolMy kindergartner LOVES this. Once she started playing, she played for 30 minutes ( I make her get off after that long). She did great wth the concepts in all areas. The only trouble we had is her formation of letters was read incorrectly. I had to teach her to look at what THEY think she is writing before she gets it checked. That seemed to help. I was confused by the "learned" and "unlearned" until I found out that she has to show some kind of "mastery" before it says she has officially learned the concept. That makes sense. I think she will enjoy playing for hours to come (well, maybe half hours!)..Version: 1.1

Really goodMy only criticism is the level is quite inconstant with too easy questions mixed with too hard. It would be nice if it was a bit more adaptive. Overall though the app is fun and encouraging.Version: 3.0.1

Fantastic educational apI am a 2nd grade teacher and my daughter is just finishing kindergarten. She loves playing this ap. She has been playing the kindergarten one for about 6 months and we just bought her first grade. She has been playing at least an hour a week. She is begging for us to buy her 2nd grade. Ha!! Needless to say she loves it. Great practice, especially for sight words and basic addition and subtraction facts..Version: 3.1

Best best learning app for pre-schoolers & 1st gradersI don't write reviews. But for this one I had to. It has been amazing to see the amount of interest and dedication my young children have started to show towards learning with this app. Math, spelling, writing ... Gradually, but very slowlythe difficulty increases, they LOVE earning coins, learning to save and appreciate hard work. The kids learn so much using this app and have more fun doing math than ever. Thank you! This is almost like khan academy... Hopefully we see more educational reward games like this...also for higher grades?.Version: 3.0.1

Great product! My son adores this! His progress is astounding!.Version: 3.0.1

Awesome fun while still learning !I bought this app for my 6yr old daughter, who will be starting grade one soon. It is awesome!! It teaches the basics in spelling, and maths and with the added bonus for them to earn coins and spend them in the shop. We use it with the iPad2 and it's great. definatley recommend to any child thats starting Prep or grade 1..Version: 3.0.1

Teach me: 1st Grade5 Star App! I even use it with my kindergarten class. They love it & parents have asked for the name of the App we play in class..Version: 2.0

Awesome App! Autism Prove Educational KnowledgeMy son who is 8 years old, and has Autism. He is verbal however tests poorly and due to school issues we are unable to access special education services, however this app is wonderful in that it allows you to really "see" what your child knows and is learning. I love that it records a snapshot of my sons writing, and is helping him to learn that we write for others to read. He is more willing to try to make each letter correctly. He likes the friendly mouse who gives instant praise for correct answers and encouragement to try again when it can not read an answer. Love the being able to trace the correct spelling words. Would like to be able to turn off that feature so that he cant give up easily. I have shared this app with our tutor, occupational therapist, speech and lanuguage therapist, and soon the classroom teacher. I have recommended it to other families wtih children with a Autism Spectrium Disorder. Thanks for a great app. Looking forward to then next one!.Version: 1.1

PerfectAmazing game, definitely recommended..Version: 4.0.4

Excellent Learning ToolI love this program as a whole, personally I think the rewards could be a little cooler but when you get down to it this app is about learning not the rewards. One critique I do have is that when you have to spell a word, I think it should have underlines or something to signify how many letters are in that word (2, 3, or 4). This is especially annoying to me when a word like 'ball' comes up to spell. My daughter sounds out the word and puts b, a, and l, but she doesn't realize the word contains 2 L's and it's unfortunate to see her get an answer like that wrong when she did so well to sound out the word and get the correct letters. Other than those minor details, this is a great app. Well worth the small price, and overall excellent for learning and/or review..Version: 4.0.1

Great appBuy it. Well worth the price..Version: 3.0.1

Excellent learning App - Best I have found!I cannot recommend the "Teach Me" series more. Both of our kids enjoy playing the games and collecting virtual prizes. I put all 4 apps on the phone and they can keep them occupied on the move (eg in car!). Our eldest is 5 and has worked all way through the 4 Stages from Toddler and is now on Grade 2. It is great way of helping their language and arithmetic in a fun way. I searched many educational apps and these are by far the best..Version: 3.3

Engaging App!!!Great for the kids!!! There are apps that are fun, there are apps that are educational and then there is this app... Both fun and educational!!! You would do well to continue the series through all grades. Parents like me would buy the entire series... The kids love it!!! I am waiting for grades 2 and 3....Version: 3.0.1

Worth every pennyThis is a very good program. It tracks progress and has helped my two 6 year old girls. They made it to level 5 on all the areas but spelling. They are stuck on level 4 and are loosing steam. But this after weeks of daily progress and fun. They enjoyed the program and this helped them learn and write a little better..Version: 3.2

Great educational tool! This is, by far, our family's favorite and longest used educational ap. The reward system is very helpful in keeping my kids interested as they learn. The settings allow you to customize learning. I would give this ap 5 stars if the keyboard was a normal QWERTY keyboard. An alphabetized keyboard may make things easier in the short run, but kids these days need to get used to QWERTY boards. I do prefer the keyboard option over the handwriting option which is difficult to use..Version: 4.0.1

Great app!Fantastic educational app for the bright kindergartner or average first grader. The app is well designed and keeps the children engaged. Any educational game that is fun for kids and gets them learning without their being aware of that fact is a good game indeed. We enjoyed the kindergarten version, love this version, and are looking forward to a "TeachMe: 2nd Grade" edition! This was .99 well spent and I recommend this app to anyone with kindergartners or beginning first-graders..Version: 3.0

GreatA really good app for the kids. The only thing I don't like is the annoying voice.Version: 3.0.1

Wish it had a "lock" feature! My son, who has Downs' Syndrome, LOVES Teach Me Kindergarten and Teach Me 1st Grade. He is so smart but needs a lot of repetition to make the learning stick in his mind. I love how this game uses repetition and rewards. He responds so well to the soft-spoken mouse teacher. Her words of encouragement sound very genuine. And he loves earning coins so he can buy stickers and fish food. The only feature I wish this app had is a lock feature to keep the child "in" the game and not allow them to wander into other functions on my iphone. My son has deleted pages from my notepad, emails, contact info, photos and has rearranged my settings. Sometimes I let him play the games in the car while I'm driving or doing chores around the house. I can't possibly watch everything he is doing. I know he is just exploring and doesn't do anything with malintent. I want him to learn and enjoy the games but can't afford to lose any important info off my phone..Version: 3.0.1

IlI love this app!! Great for my 5 yrs old son!.Version: 1.1

Fantastic App!Great to see you were listening to reviews and gave us the next grade up! Love the introduction of writing the answers perfect for my daughter! I hope you have the next grade in the works! And may I suggest a combined grade iPad app! My son (with autism). Loves the aquarium but can't do the kinder questions. I'd buy a combined app or if you could do an aquarium upgrade to the toddler app???.Version: 0

Great app with reading, writing, and math practice.I really like this app for my son in Grade 1. It is a complete package with practice in reading, spelling and math. They give you the option of using either a keyboard (abc order not QWERTY) or your finger to write the answer. This is great, although your child has to have fairly good printing in order for them not to get frustrated. The rewards are also fun and the fish tank is always a hit..Version: 3.2

MumIt is quite good but it has great difficulty recognising the letter t. It always mistakes it for L. Can you fix this please?.Version: 3.0.1

Pleasantly SurprisedMy first grader really enjoys this app, it’s well worth the price. The rewards are a nice touch to keep the kids interested. Occasionally the character recognition has a hard time deciding what is being written. The repetitiveness is bit too repetitive for my liking; I would rather see a wider variation of challenges. Overall I give this a 5 Start Rating, and like an earlier post, when can we expect 2nd grade?.Version: 3.0.1

K's GramK started with kindergarten and moved up to 2nd grade. She is 6yrs old and well above avg in 1 st grade. She begs to play the games, even quickly finishing chores to use. It not only teaches the three R's but how to save coins earned and plan ahead to spend. Also using imagination to design her scene scapes. Thank you for this family of apps. It keeps kids guiet in car and while running errands. We all love it for its simplicity of use and worth as an education tool. Keep up the good work 24x7 digital you are doing a good thing. Thanks again..Version: 3.2

Awesome app!My 6 yr old daughter is in french school and this app is great for her English reading. We've used the preschool, kindergarten and grade 1 apps and they are all amazing apps. My daughter trades tv time to play this app! Great idea to reward them with silly bands! Lots of educational content and well put together! I hope a grade 2 app is in the future!.Version: 3.0.1

Fantastic appVery good upgrade from the kidney version. Would have been five stars if they had added new rewards (e.g. New fish etc) as it's the same as the rewards..Version: 1.1

Wonderful!!!I have never cared enough to review an app before although I make it a point to read others' reviews before any purchase. This app was well worth the tiny cost and I would have happily paid more for it! Watching my 6 yr old daughter practice these skills with such excitement and enthusiasm was a joy! As I have 4 kids (ages 6, 4, 3 & 2), I went back and purchased the toddler, kindergarten and 2nd grade versions as well. The automatic rotation of subjects including math, writing and reading is wonderful and keeps kids who prefer to stick to the one subject they feel most comfortable with on a very well rounded track. Well done!!!.Version: 3.0.1

Amazing learning app!I love this app! My 4 going on 5 year old daughter is currently using it. I have worked a lot with her on reading and sounding out words but not so much with adding, subtracting and writing. We started with teach me toddler and teach me kindergarten. She has gone through those and mastered the info and now is at the 1st grade level. When we first started using it the writing portion was a little difficult for her but with time and practice she has gotten the hang of it and enjoys writing outside of the app with great improvement!.Version: 4.0.1

Like it, but letter recognition is tough for someAfter going through TeachMe Toddler and TeachMe kindergarden, this app is really great … my just-turned-5 year old is cruising with it. Recognition of the handwritten letter "m" is really off it seems. Even I have a hard time getting Ms mouse to recognize that one when he complains she's not see it. The reward system in the app is great and very encouraging. He loves his goldfish and works hard to buy food and things for their tank. More things would be great, always. ;-).Version: 3.3

This app is the best!I really like it you get to go shopping and learn and it’s just the best you should get it it’s really good the money is worth it.Version: 4.0.4

WonderfulAll 3-apps, Toddler, kindergarten, and grade-1 Have been Absolutely wonderful for both my 3 & 5 year olds. It's a truly excellent blend of all the basics and for the price it should be showcased for all parents to see. Simply the best learning app I have found in the past couple years..Version: 3.2

We LOVE this APPHave to give a HUGE shout out to the iPad App "Teach Me" series. We have Teach me Toddler, Teach me Kindergarten and Teach me Grade 1. My kids LOVE them. My daughter likes to earn stickers for correct answers, whereas my son likes to earn coins to buy fish for his aquarium. LOVE THIS APP!.Version: 3.1.1

AWESOME!I purchased TeachMe: Kindergarten and TeachMe: 1st Grade, my grade one twins use this app everyday to further their knowledge. I love it! PLEASE, PLEASE, MAKE A TeachMe: 2nd Grade!.Version: 3.0.1

Awesome app! Please make one for second grade.Version: 3.0.1

Oustanding App!!I got the Kindergarden version for my daughter and LOVED it!! It reinforces things already being taught at school... Great time spending learning and having FUN all at the same time. I decided to get the 1st Grade app, and my daughter enjoys this even the more. It is an advanced version, but it only builds and challenge from the previous one... I just hope they can keep the app growing from here, next I want Teach Me: 2nd Grade :-).Version: 0

Love itAs a teacher, this is will be a great skill building tool in my classroom. I LOVE how I can assign different things per student, the ability to track 40 kids, and the handwriting recognition. Very nice app! The only drawback is that only 4 students are available at one time. I'd love to have this at a learning station as an activity that the students use by clicking their pic/name. Even in small groups I usually have more than 4 students. If you can add the ability to choose any student from the home screen I'd give 5 stars!.Version: 3.2

Love this App!!I teach first grade and use iPod Touches as learning tools in my classroom. I had used the Kindergarten app before the first grade app was created. I would use it for review or with my lower functioning students. However, this app for First Grade is now used by all of my students!!! The love it! They call it the Mouse Game!! They learn so much! App is fantastic for all learners! I just wish you didn't have to pay for additional student users, but I understand why it's necessary. I will happily buy any app this company creates! P.S. Someone in development at this company should get in touch with the mathematics company that makes Investigations & Envisions and turn their learning games like Roll & Record or 5 in a Row into apps! The kids (and teachers) would love it!!!!!.Version: 3.0.1

Hands down the best!I've been buying apps for my kids like crazy. I look for apps that are educational but fun. The kids lose interest in most apps in a day or two but this app is so varied that my 6 year old rushes through her homework to learn more math and reading with this app. It really works too! It's not just a game with a light learning it's full on education..Version: 3.2

My son's favourite appIf you we're going to get 1 app get this one. My son enjoys it a lot. As a parent you can control the pace of rewards (coins) for which he can purchase stickers, shapes or fish. You can also adjust the questions for the level of knowledge of your child. Buy the game you won't regret it!.Version: 3.2

Brilliant 1st Grade appThis is a really lovely app for First Graders. The 'teacher' mouse is pleasant, the content is appropriate for the school level and it's fun. My kids love earning coins so they can buy things in the store. My only suggestion is it would be nice to have the option of an Australian accent for us Aussies..Version: 3.2
