✓ Why is the editor not an editor.I was really excited to download this app, and it's a nice basic compiler. Very well done in this regard. My only question, why do you need to press the "+" key for each line you want to add? Why isn't it just a free form text editor. That would make this app truly AWESOME!!! I cringe at having to click a button and fill in a popup to enter each line of code. The other problem with the editor is if you ever want to add a line, the only way to do it is to edit all the previous lines, you can't just shift lines around. This product really needs a free from txt editor. Without a free form text editor, which again I can't explain why not I give it a 2-3 stars, with a solid 5 stars!!! PLEASE ADD A FREE FORM TEXT EDITOR...Version: 1.4

✓ Buggy string inputIt no longer crashes upon startup on iOS 8 (thanks), but has some show-stopping bugs, e.g. INPUT a$ returns an empty string if a word longer than 3 characters is entered, although LEN(a$) inexplicably shows the length as being 14 characters regardless of whether the entered string is 4,5,6 etc in length..Version: 3.5.7

✓ Updated bricked the appBefore the update, there were a few issues. I wrote a program that ran perfectly, I even handed it in as a bonus assignment in a computer class, got everything right. But the second last update made the program not work. Now with this update, I can't even use the app at all. The entire right ¼ of the screen doesn't show up. ✓ Good, but buggyThis is an amazing programming app. I love it so much. But the text editor is so horrible. It jumps back and forth and randomly moves to a different position on the screen. It makes it unbearable sometimes. I hope miSoft can fix this..Version: 3.5.9
✓ Jaaa, Basic!This is basic and it does excatly what it promises. Felt a lot like AMOS reading the command summary ... but thats pretty much where the AMOS refrence stops. My Problem with Basic is the very unhandy editor. Instead of being a regular editor that we've all come to know, it's some sort of requester editor. Here every line you want to write has to be done in an requester that has to be OK'ed or cancelled. If your lines become long they are difficult to manage. This is not very handy alt all. Especially if one from time to time uses a bluetooth keyboard. A current bug is when iPad is horizental the New, Run, Load and Save buttons disappear. My sum of Basic! It's ok, frustrating and fun..Version: 0

✓ NOT what I had hopedBy invoking Apple, I had expected it to be an identical representation of AppleBASIC from my HS years, expanded to represent higher resolution, BT and touch technologies. Not so. The language and syntax are sufficiently different that I cannot get more than the most rudimentary programs to work (think dumb loops). I never had access to GW-BASIC functions like WHILE-WEND and ENDIF in the BASIC I used. "?" stood in for PRINT... but not here. Very disappointing....Version: 3.5.9

✓ Crashes too regularlyIt's a nice idea, but the app continually crashes just while I'm reading the help file. The help file itself also isn't that great. While it lists all the commands, it doesn't really explain the structure of the language implementation such as how to setup a graphics program vs a text only program etc. I might come back to it if it stabilizes, but for now it was a waste of money..Version: 3.4.2
✓ Needs update to iOS 8.1Very easy to use. I was able to write a program that uses advanced features like graphics, touch, etc. within minutes after downloading it. However, after I upgraded to iOS 8, it stopped working. It loads the initial splash screen then exits after a couple of seconds. I tried it on iPad 2 and iPad Air 2 but it failed to run on both. ✓ BuggyNice idea for an app but it's buggy. The facial recognition sample doesn't work; it just displays a blank screen. My phone gets hot as soon as I start the app; it must be chewing up CPU (and presumably battery power). I mailed the developer's support address but haven't received a response. ✓ Having. Issues on iPad2So I've been using this app for awhile on my original iPad1. I've recently downloaded onto my iPad2 but am having trouble running my saved programs, in that the enter/return button doesn't do anything half the time. If I keep typing in the input and hitting enter maybe it eventually works, or if I hit the minimize keyboard button sometimes that works. I even tried using my Bluetooth keyboard and that didn't solve the problem. It's also not just on my old saved programs also on new ones that I've tried to mess with just to see if it was because they were old programs from my iPad1. If this sounds familiar to anyone or the Devs can help I'd appreciate it because all in all it was my favorite BASIC program..Version: 3.5.9
