✓ Artstudio goodThis app is quite easy to learn and use, and produces a better send result than I expected in terms of palette, brush and effect options. The main drawback is the inaccuracy of drawing with a blunt finger. This is somewhat compensated for with the offset and delay functions and also by the zoom function which something you can only do in virtual art! As far as the convenience of having a comprehensive quiver of art tools I can use anywhere, it rocks!.Version: 0
✓ Good at first.....When I first got this app I thought it was amazing, it has a wide variety of features, many layers, great import system, the works. But after recent updates it’s unusable! It crashes constantly without saving and when it crashes it erases your cashe so you can’t undo anything you had previously done. But by far the worst offense is that as of late when you merge a layer and you undo it, it dosent actually undo, the layers stay merged and a new blank layer is created, what good is that? It dosent seem worth it to buy the pro version considering I paid $5 for this and it’s buggered beyond belief..Version: 5.105

✓ Once great, but now junkI used this app for years to draw, but recently, I have had issues where it would crash every minute while I’m drawing. I try to save often while drawing, but as the app kept crashing, the files would become corrupted, and I can no longer access it. It is infuriating when hours of work is suddenly wasted because of a now dysfunctional app. Unless the developers have abandoned this app and are focusing on the Pro version, a fix for this serious issue is needed immediately. Until then, I strongly suggest that everyone avoid this app. I myself refuse to use it any longer. Trying to draw with it is not worth the frustration..Version: 5.104
✓ Crashing a lot latelyThis is REALLY a great art program — versatile and sophisticated — but for two things. Lately it has been crashing on a daily basis. I checked my usage, and I have plenty of available space, so that is not the reason for the crashes. The other problem is the frequency of accidental marks I make when an edge of my hand touches the screen, while I am zooming in/out, or panning around. A third (minor) quibble is that when I type in the emoticon /icon images in my iPad keyboard appear in one color, monochrome, and somewhat translucent..Version: 5.98
✓ Could be Perfect!I really love the app but I CAN NOT STAND THE FACT THAT YOU ARE STUCK WITH THE SLIDERS FOR ‘SIZE’ (That’s Fine.) BUT THEN THE OTHER SLIDER WITH THE PAINT BRUSH IS “FLOW” And it won’t let you change it that I could find!!! If there is a way Please let me know, And the other pain in the... Seat. Is it won’t let you shut off the eye dropper long press, At first i set it at 2.0 witch I think is 2 Min. ✓ Used to be betterA couple years ago I bought this for about $10….it had the big window and was perfect little app. At some point, maybe a version upgrade and it was all gone. Now tiny useless window. Now they want you to subscribe at $12+ a year. For screwing my original good version and then wanting to charge me yearly I have to give it 2 stars. ✓ Frequent crashingI want to like this app, its interface makes sense to me (although it requires several steps to copy/paste a simple layer - using the edit menu for each step instead of having a tool to do it) But I could get over that, if it wasn't for the fact that the app crashes VERY frequently. anytime I have more than 2 layers there is a 100% chance of it crashing. I have an iPad Pro (9.7inch) there's absolutely no excuse for an app of this type to crash on my device, which was specifically designed for this type of use - My feeling is, the app itself has a serious bug. ✓ I feel slightly cheated (please read, Luckyclan)I have used this app for all my digital work. I loved the feature where you could share your work to an online gallery. I am an aspiring artist and using this app has been so far a great experience. I bought this for five dollars. Around the summer, the app started crashing. And I don't JUST mean occasionally. It has become more and more frequent, and I'm not the only one with this problem. Whenever I go to save my work, the Autosave takes 3 minutes (should be instantaneous or a few seconds) and if I log out of the app to reload, it will crash and DESTROY my art! The line art will turn into smudged bars or disappear altogether, and the colors will smudge terribly. It happens whenever I have more than 2 layers. And instead of fixing these bugs, Luckyclan INSTEAD creates a new version, this time SEVEN DOLLARS! No way am I paying 7 dollars for another art program when the one I have now should work fine. Fix this, please. I've lost hours and hours of hard work, and I've been devastated about it. I just lost a piece I was working on for someone that had requested it, and I took a screenshot of the gallery and cropped it. It is extremely blurry now. NO ARTIST should have to fear the destruction of their work, especially on such a promising app. Other than the not so recent crashes, I love this app. It has plenty of customizable tools and options. ✓ Sad but true...Nice apps... A lot of featuring. My only BIG bug is that I pay for it to understand that with the ios9, no more wacom stylus work... No more palm rejection. Please ! ✓ UnusableThis app used to be great. It was by far the best drawing app for iPads that I had ever tried, and for two years it was my main drawing medium. Now it's unusable. I open up the app and it crashes. I open the layers bar and it crashes. I change the opacity of something and it crashes. I loved Art Studio, and I even paid for it, but now I think it's time to find a new app. I don't recommend buying it to anyone who wants to be able to draw for more than two minutes without the app crashing and losing all your progress. ✓ Art Studio for iPad.To someone who has no previous experience in computerized artwork but was very interested in this considering ones own photographs could also be used, I must say I am extremely disappointed in the fact that there appears to be no tuition available apart from sketch tuition. It has been worked with and it is found fascinating but now it is frustrating because of no overall instructions. It certainly does not keep up with the simplicity of other apple items..Version: 3.4
✓ Major bug problemI really do enjoy using this app I really really do! It's where my main art style was born! But there has been a major problem that I've been dealing with and it's destroying my hours of hard work. It's been crashing quite a lot and every time it does when I open up back to the app on a picture the lines are all stretched and even if I've saved it before the crash its still very distorted and I'd have to start over. ✓ App keeps crashingThis app crashed all the time on my 32GB iPad so I upgraded to a 64GB iPad last year and it started crashing again not too long after so I recently bought a 1TB iPad and now it’s crashing again after only a few months of owning the iPad and I’ve only used like 65GB. I still have 911GB left in storage and the app still crashes when I try deleting a layer or adding a new one making me lose my progress that wasn’t saved. Restarting the iPad and updating it doesn’t help and it makes me wanna use a new app but I’ve been using art studio since I was 13 and can’t figure out how other apps I’ve tried work so it leaves me with no choice but to torture myself whenever I want to draw on my iPad..Version: 5.105
✓ Not that good..There’s not a lot of brushes, I think that the options are kinda bad, the zoom isn’t really good.. I don’t really recommend this app.. If you’re a beginner in digital art, I’ll suggest you to use IbisPaint X, it’s free and it’s really awesome! Or if you’re already experienced, use Procreate instead. Don’t really install this app, I’m sorry if I’m being a bit mean, but I’m not satisfied with this..Version: 5.105
✓ Really great app, but there's one thing that it needsThis app is really top notch. I think it is one of the most useful app for artists on the App Store. Really robust and feature packed. Reminds me of what I feel that PS touch should have been. But the only real gripe that I have with this app is palm rejection. I would absolutely love to see a setting to turn off finger input on the canvas aside from gestures for panning/zooming/rotating. That would alleviate frustrations will discovering all the strokes my palm as been creating and having to punch holes in my work to remove specks my palm create, the re-color the places back in. ✓ Very good but....Okay, this app is extremely good BUT I have just upgraded to the iPad pro and I find that if you use your iPad pro pencil too slowly, there are jumps or skips in the lines, even after I change the iPad pen mode there are still these very annoying skips, please remedy this.. I really do love this app but I have already begun to search for other apps that will give me the smoothness that I am looking for. ✓ Getting better, but still not there yet.I have had the app for a while and regularly have to switch between procreate and artstudio as neither are quite there yet. Now I have the iPad pro, and pencil, and artstudio looks good, but is still underpowered. It needs to support much bigger images, improved selection, more layers, layer editing, better blending and specifying opacity of layers, free rotation of the page, image, canvas or selections, resizing of selection, or changing dimensions of selections, masking, a bigger and comprehensive set of tools including 3 colour gradients, shadowing, tracing, edge detection, outlining of selections, curves, twirls, polygons, filters and effects, ability to import images from anywhere or other apps, export images to other apps. With the right improvements it could get close enough to be like Painter or photoshop. I have to produce illustrations for a book, and will have to use something else unless artstudio can get it right...Version: 5.97
✓ Useless and hard to use, waste of moneyI thought that this would be a competent photoshop replacement but on my iPad. I was wrong. It Is slow, keeps crashing, and there is no normal brush tool. All I want to do it erase the background off photos,,, the brushes on here are all fancy and frizzy and stupid, there is no decent, normal brush with a clear edge, only soft edges. The tools are not labelled... So you don't know what the he'll they are, and getting pictures on and off this stupid app is the slowest process ever. This app claims to have many or all of the photoshops features such as magic wand and lasso, but it's so hard to find them, and even harder to execute them that I will not bother. I want my £1.79 back now. I wish app store had an option for 0 stars... That would express my anger more clearly. If this was a free app I may not have wrote so much about it but I am angry at how misleading the description is and how it is just a waste of money. ✓ Zero stars if I could.This app is a very good app. A great app, a fantastic app! But unfortunately it did something that made me extremely mad. Maybe it was my fault, but the effort I put into my drawings being thrown out the window into a garbage bin on fire is too much for me. There was this drawing I was working on, it was by far the longest drawing I worked on, having at least 5 hours on it. When I went to add another layer, it said I already had enough layers. That's fine! So I went and tweaked some things so I could add another layer. I did that, and then my app crashed. When I went and opened it again, it would not let me on the app. I tried everything I could, but they all lead to dead ends. So I did the thing I dreaded the most. Deleting and re downloading the app. It's works again, but all of my works that I had yet to complete are all gone. Forever lost. So, if you're a simple artist, go for this app! ✓ Get this!This app is exactly what I was looking for, and I've only used it for 10 minutes! The only downside to this app is getting used to how it interprets your finger movements, but still, it does a great job. It would be nice if the autosave happened in the background instead of popping up while you're trying to work. Edit: As darkfire-shadows stated, there is a delay now in the latest version. In the last version, you were able to see immediate results. Now, you have to tap your screen after each stroke in order to see the results. Update! Fixed this issue for me. Way to go! Edit 2: Here I am again, app is unusable for me now, half of the art board background is missing, leaving only half a screen to view my artwork..Version: 5.98
