✓ LudoLots of fun to play, simple, clean and colorful layouts with multiple options for playing against the computer and players. Love the appropriate sound FX for the Cars theme which makes you chuckle though you have to pay $.99 for it but I found it worth the money. I also paid $.99 for the 3D dice which wasn't worth it. ✓ Amazing game and surprised by free stuffI have been looking for the classic Ludo which can be played free with my son, as I wasn't sure if he will like the game or not, even though I grew up playing this. ✓ Utterly Amazing!!Very fun game, i went with a group of 8 guys on holiday, and every night before we went out, and whenever we were bored traveling we played ludo, it's a very social game, and can change really quickly. The 3d dice actually annoyed everyone because it made it slower, and we think we could have found a cheat, but I thin it was just coincidence, but it was great entertainment on holiday! ✓ Really fun game...but some bad bugs.This is a really fun game. It starts right up and runs really well. I've had a lot of fun playing it by myself against bots and against others. The problems crop up in regards to the AI rolling dice. Often the AI rolls twice and takes the second roll as the real roll. Sometimes this benefits them other times it really hurts them so I know it isn't a 'cheat' mechanic simply a bug. The problem is this bug can break some of the rules and does odd things such as letting them stack pieces and the like. All in all though it's a very fun game but the bugs make me lower my rating. Still if it's updated and maintained it'll be a great app. As it is right now it's a lot of fun though so don't hesitate to download it..Version: 0

✓ Well executed, Nice designOne of the better designed free versions of this game. Clean interface, pleasant colors. I keep wanting to touch my destination to move though, instead of the piece. Can you update the game so touching the destination also moves the piece. Note to new comers: this is ancient game in in it's more original form. It's supposed to be simple. ✓ Amazing for the priceI love this game. It's simple. Fun and addicting. Best of all it's free. Each player begins by truing to roll a six. Whoever gets a six get to release one of the four pieces that are trapped. Then then you get to roll as many times in. Row as a long as u get a six. You can choose to release your remaining game pieces or advance your player around the board to your home base. Simple but exciting. Especially when u have your opponents pieces trying to land on you to send your piece back to jail.Version: 0

✓ Memories of Sorry with issuesI found that I really liked this game once it got going. I sat there and was amazed that I wasn't rolling a 6. It got to the point that I kept going just to see how long it would take to get a 6. Once I started counting, I counted 23 rolls before a 6 was rolled. I just wonder what random generator they used for the dice. In the real world it is always a 1 in 6 chance that the dice will roll 6, no matter how many times you roll it. But, still, odds are that in the 23+ rolls, I should have rolled a 6 at least 4 times. And I didn't get one... That being said, once that hiccup was over, the game was a lot of fun, thanks for getting a free version out. I will have to check out the paid version..Version: 0

If you're a fan of the classic games, "Sorry" or "Trouble" then you'll remember many nights racing to get your pieces home and knocking opponents back to their starting base. The graphics on Ludo are clean, simple, but stylish (don't go by the one star knuckle draggers - they're suffering from Xboxstupidia), and when you're not playing other humans, the AI opponents will show no mercy! Definitely one of the best board games on iPad so far! Someone gave this 4 out of 5 stars for not having computer opponents? ✓ Pluses and some minuses (now)First of all, this is a nice implementation of Ludo. Version 1.0 was rather frustrating, because it seemed so difficult to throw a 6 and get out of the base. However, the 1.1 update adds a couple of new features to address this, and they're very useful. The computer AI seems OK; it could make better decisions at times, but overall it's neither too wimpy nor too vindictive, so the overall balance seems good, and games seem basically fair. The rules aren't quite what I'm used to with Ludo. In this version, the home squares are the coloured columns pointing towards the die in the centre of the board, and you have to land on them exactly - which can be enormously frustrating if you're within one throw of winning and an opponent clobbers your piece. In the version of Ludo I'm used to, the central arms of the board are safe squares, and you can park your pieces there without worrying about this final frustration (like in Sorry!); you win by getting all four pieces into the central area at the very centre of the board. It would be nice to see this implemented as an alternative rule, perhaps. So, overall, this is a good implementation of Ludo, it has some nice features, and the graphics are attractive and the sounds unobtrusive. It did crash on me once (current version), but luckily, on reloading, the game in progress can be restored, so my position wasn't lost. That's all the positive stuff. The negative stuff is the recent addition of in-app purchases. I notice that the game has now become free to download, and presumably that will continue while in-app purchases are in place. I certainly hope the developers don't charge for the game AS WELL as having in-app purchases. However, that's effectively what they're doing for all the people who've supported them early on by buying version 1.0. Having paid as much as $3.99 (or equivalent) for this game in the past, owners upgrading to version 1.1 are now faced with three optional further purchases, each of $.99/£.59: classic board, cars board and 3D dice. (And, to add insult to injury, the new 'increase probability of throwing a 6' feature apparently doesn't work with the paid 3D dice add-on.) This is just not funny in my opinion. I admit that I have a bit of a problem with in-app purchases, and generally steer clear of apps that include them. I'd personally MUCH rather pay for an app and then own it all; I usually avoid apps that are free but have lots of in-app purchases. There are cases where I make an exception, because the in-app purchase gives you something worthwhile. A good example is The Creeps! (excellent tower defence game, and not free): it provides a lot of content as standard (so you get plenty for your money to start with), and has a few add-on level packs (with multiple levels in each) for optional purchase as well. That's OK, because you're genuinely getting something of lasting value for your money. But for a game that cost as much as $3.99 to start with, asking users to stump up further money for a couple of alternative bits of artwork, or a fancy 3D die (the use of which removes one of the game's advantageous new features) frankly seems money-grabbing. I'm not prepared to pay 59p for a 3D graphical effect in any case, even if it doesn't disable one of the preferences; this sort of thing should be built into the game without any thought for extra charges. As for the alternative board artwork, perhaps there's a little more justification for charging 59p, but I would personally say that (a) the classic board artwork should definitely be included for free, and (b) the 59p should be a one-off purchase that buys access to all further board art. (And I'd hope to see more than just the few alternatives in place at present.) I know the above will make me sound like a skinflint, and I'm not one really. I'll certainly pay happily for things that seem worth paying for. But that's the key point: I like to feel as though I'm getting some kind of value for my money (even if it's only 59p), and an alternative board theme for Ludo, or a graphical effect, doesn't feel like that..Version: 0
