✓ Expected betterThis game is stupid if u don't buy more players because when u want to play u get to choose a player which there are only two: and beat both 6 to 0. But if u buy more players that costs money then u get players that they hit really hard and u I could barely see the ball and that when u hit it right for example the ball goes left and when opponent hits the ball hard then u go back to hit it then the opponent hits it softly and u can't move ur players moves by it self and u don't get there in time which makes u really angry so u buy energy drinks in the game which makes u hit and run faster for only like 5 seconds per drink and 3 drink cost 1 dollar see what I am saying? They mess ur controls up so u buy drinks and they get money. Don't get this game because u will really want to buy more players which will get u really mad after u always lose to them and waste all ur money I already broke my screen cuz of this game DON'T GET IT.Version: 2.11

✓ Terrible...how is this stupid game getting so many good reviews?It's great that this game is free and all, but with all the inventive and intuitive things being done with the accelerometer these days, this was the best they could come up with?! First off, you get these great looking cartoon characters which looks to be promising...but wait, all you end up with is these big crappy rackets that don't even respond half the time. Would be a little more forgivable if you could actually see some of these great cartoon characters running around the court, but there are just pictures of them that pop up with the constant annoying in-app ads pestering you to 'upgrade' to better players. I might not mind so much if they weren't every other GAME several times during one set. Why would I upgrade to more difficult players when I can't even get the stupid rackets to do what I want them to do with the three players I have? It's amazing to me that nobody can figure out how to develop a half decent tennis game for the iPad. This one certainly doesn't solve this issue. Deleted....Version: 2.9

✓ Tennistastic?Hit tennis is a difficult game to get to grips with, but once you get going it becomes quite fun. Each character presents a different type of challenge and strangely we found that the harder players are easier to deal with than the slower ones to begin with. Adverts are irritating in the light version but I suppose that's what you get for being tight and not spending hard earned cash. The game is not perfect by any means and it would be nice to see players rather than disembodied rackets flying around. Also, every now and again the player makes random "air shots" with the ball looping high above the court. How and why this happens is a mystery. Overall, worth a shot but not sure I'll buy the full version!.Version: 2.9

✓ Well I like it..Graphics can be improved, the sound should be left alone which is very good. Controls could be better. I don't like playing it landscape, portrait would be good too.. When you turn the phone it tries to do it putting a black frame round the screen like it wants to go to portrait version... Also an idea to have online multiplayer modes to play with people all over the world. Solid 3 star effort for a free app!.Version: 0
✓ Detailed ReviewI liked this game, but it did have it's glitches. First, the players were either very easy or very hard, then again, I actually play tennis, and this is much much easier. Next, the game got boring- the same thing going every time: serve, return, point. Serve, return, point. This game was fun, but it wasn't very "real." I thought that it would be even a bit more realistic, but I wasn't satisfied. It would have been better if they showed your head on the body of a girl/boy playing tennis. Maybe a video camera would be nice on this iPad. Well, I have shared my feelings on this game, and wouldn't urge people to get this, but if you do, it wasn't a complete waste of time and/or money. ✓ A decent game but needs some things fixedI really like playing this game, but it's really annoying when your racket freezes up n there's nothing you can do but lose points!! Also, the serving can be a big issue as you can't aim your racquet n in practice mode you just consistently serve from just one side, making it a bit hard to adjust how to serve from the opposite side without playing a match to practice from that side..tho I have been able to get this down..My racquet freezing is a BIG Annoyance, let alone frustrating. - due to these two major issues, I have to deduct 2 stars..else I would considerate it a very fun game, ESP if you are or have played trennis in real as I have..Version: 2.13

✓ Simply terrible.This game is awful. It's a great idea, just very badly implemented. The action of hitting the ball is incredibly difficult, often it interprets a swing in the wrong direction so you end up hitting yhe ball towards yourself rather than your opponent. Add into that the fact that the 'automatic' movement of your player basically just moves you closer and closer to the net with no way toovw back again... and you end up with something unplayable. I downloaded this because I thought 'all those bad reviews must just be people unwilling to give the game a chance'. I was wrong. Bottom line: Don't waste your time on this!.Version: 0
✓ Avrage gameHit Tennis 2 is a good game. The layout is good and so are the controls. They are very simple and you can remember them easily. However, the fact that you have to buy players is not good, you cant compleat a tournament without the player packs. Also multiplayer is bad. The way it is set out is good but I doesn't work. ✓ Good but not greatThis game is very good once you get adjusted to the controls. However there is an issue with the scoring and the opponents. The scoring does not follow tennis convention, you basically play only one set before the game is won or lost. Also the AI makes lots of unforced mistakes. This is a boon when your starting out, but very iritating once you have the hang of the controls as it makes the games very easy. (even against the harder AI) The control issues that are mentioned in the other reviews are simply a technique problem. You do have to aim and time your shots to get them in. The strength of your shots depends on your follow through which can be controled, it simply takes a little practice. Also ghe two player mode restricts the screen to such a small size that playing the game becomes difficult. Please add bluetooth support so two player becomes better.Version: 0
✓ Makes you realise just how good Wii Sports isIt's a tennis game very much along the lines of the one that comes with the Wii. Your player automatically runs around and you play the shots. There are a few differences. Instead of doubles, you play singles. Instead of seeing an entire person you just see a racket. And instead of swinging a Wii controller you use a gesture on the screen. This last bit is where the game falls down. The controls felt haphazard and awkward and I found myself fighting the control mechanism more than my opponent. The game looks good and the graphics are't bad (even if I would rather see a little person running around). The game is ad supported and unobtrusively so. Adverts appear between games where there is a natural break and can be cleared after a few seconds. Sort the controls and the game could be a winner..Version: 2.9

✓ It's okThis game has it's gains, but it's weaknesses, it's not purely realistic as you are playing with your fingers on a flat surface to swing a racquet, not ideal. But it does impress with the real action swing mechanism although it is restricted to the flat one dimensional action. Having to buy energy is a waste of money in the end, it's only to beat the more impressive players, it's a hike in money that way, should have introduced a bonus energy system as well so we can earn energy as well as buy . . ✓ Poor game......why? You play a 70 year old man in the first round and you can win with your eyes closed, sliding your finger up and down the screen, making nice shots. You then play 'Michelle' in round 2 and all of a sudden, the sliding finger ball control is non existent!! The ball shoots off at right angles etc, nothing at all like the shots made in the first round. I'm all for the opponent getting better and faster but the shots that I make should be consistent....I haven't got a clue what the ball will do in round 2!!!!.Version: 2.11

✓ Run...Away"Hit Tennis" is a miserable game, a lazily designed and created as a way of becoming a cash cow for virtual energy drinks. The game on the ground does not replicate the excitement and pace of real tennis. Instead it is an awkward, clumsy "b" or "c" list game that makes it impossible for the player to hit with a pace that can compete with the higher-level players. However if you are willing to fork over 20 and $30 at a time you can drug yourself into competitiveness with energy drinks that allow you to hit the ball hard enough to compete with the best players. The game never ever upgrades or updates probably because the designers are off to their next single hit wonder. Do not buy this game. I've tried playing it twice and have deleted it from my iPad both times. Instead try "Stick" tennis A game with a lot of humor that actually allows you to advance and progress. Run away from these "Hit" tennis courts and never turn back. This game is ANYTHING but a "hit"..Version: 2.18

✓ Terrible game mechanics, impossible to get into rythymI don't see how anyone can say this is a great game. It all feels very sluggish and unresponsive. It is impossible to get into any kind of rythum and it feels like I am playing tennis underwater. My opponent hits the ball with pace but I seem to have a hard time generating any pace. When I swing fast, I miss, when I swing slow I seem to hit the ball well, but it's difficult and unenjoyable. I can eek out a win but it is not fun. Maybe I am missing something. I hope so. I removed this app after 10 minutes. For my money, chop chop tennis is 10 times better. I tried it again and reiterate that this is a terrible tennis game..Version: 2.14
✓ Basic game is great but the add ons are a bit dubiousStraight out let me say that it really is a great game & it does have that addictive quality. I loved the basic game with the standard players but when they were too easy to beat I decided to buy the player pack 1 for new challenges. This is where it all changes... The top player in this pack, Kenny is the problem. You might beat him for the occasional game but the AI is basically unbeatable for the match unless you use the energy drinks ( a LOT of them ) & the real $$$ cost in doing this is what ruins the game for me... ✓ Meh.Thought this might be a fun game with Wimbledon and everything at the moment, and it was free. At first the controls seem a bit odd and it's hard to hit the ball properly. After a while I got used to it though and I can play it well. It does not take long to complete the various modes and it soon becomes boring and same-y. I'm too tight to buy the add-on packs and I'm not sure how much of a difference they make. Anyway, a fairly good game once you get used to it (can't complain about the price). ✓ Stop rigging players!!Hey just want to say I really like the game but I do have 1 gripe. I have never beaten Kenny - EVER! I can beat the rest in the player pack 1 sometimes 6-0 but the closest i have come with Kenny is a loss of 6-3. My gripe is that when Kenny looks like he is losing, a lot of my shots all of a sudden are called out, when clearly they are in. And my player doesn't seem to be in the right position of the court to return some of Kenny's vital points. I have also had 3 other friends of mine play to see if I was just imagining it. They also said it was definitely noticeable. I have been up 2-0 and even 3-0 only to lose 6-2 and 6-3. What's the GO? Seriously..Version: 2.14
✓ Read instructions peopleMost of the 1-star reviews are from people who didn't read the instructions, and therefore can't understand the rather unique controls. The game is very simple, and for what it does it isn't great. The physics are somewhat awkward and the gameplay unrealistic. It takes a little while to get used to the timing an the contols, but after that it can be fun. It's free, so if you think it seems interesting just make the quick download, read the instructions, and give it a couple games. That only takes 5 minutes so why not?.Version: 0
✓ MrI want to really like this game but the constant moving of the screen is both distracting and nauseating. The higher the level, the less the screen should move. Or there should be some way to adjust that feature in hit tennis 3. I find myself wanting to play this game less and less now because of it. Also, if you have played tennis in person, you know that you are able to execute way more shots and spins than this game allies. While your opponent can hit anything. The only shot you can hit are top spins. As a tennis player I find this very annoying. I recommend this game if you plan on using the free version only.
