✓ Great app for the priceUpdate: I have used this app for some time and generally works well. However this bug is quite annoying as it hasn't been fixed yet. If you set startup password, and you try and type in a connected computer it will not let you. If you disable startup password it will work. I would rather have password set for security reasons as remembering passwords to all of my computers is a real pain. If the developer fixes this bug I will give it 5 stars. This app was one of the best value in the VNC range. It works well when connecting internally on my wifi network and remotely over 3G. There were a few faults like quitting the connection sometimes would not work. The app is continuing to improve and well worth the price..Version: 1.3.5

✓ Hate the "update". I want to downgrade.I don't usually bother to rate apps, but since the pop-up prompted me, I'm going to tell you exactly what I think of your "update." Before the update I used this app every couple of days to arrange upcoming tunes on an old Mac I use as a 24-hour iTunes jukebox. I blindly upgraded when the latest version came out. Now I can barely use the app. I get constant pop up ads for a game I don't want to play, and they completely removed the option to use a mouse. Of course I could pay their $4.99 ransom money to get my features back, but I will NEVER EVER do that because I don't want to support this practice. Fortunately my wife never updates the apps on her iPad, so I can use that whenever I have to. Bad form..Version: 1.3.9
✓ Curser issuesConnected easily to my Mac but what’s going on with the cursor, no mouse emulation at all, why would you connect to your Mac but not have any mouse functions, when you try to scroll the curser it drags the screen around so you have to stab at the screen to get the cursor to go where you want it then you have no left or right button emulation, adverts are just pathetic there’s advertising and then just plain annoying, no information as to what you will get with “pro" version, very amateurish..Version: 1.4.0

However this is a sting to get your mobile number and then charge you a lot of money (search for plasticsheds99x to read more). It does lack a few features and it is a bit on the slow side but for three quid it does what I expected. I have a Macbook Pro that runs on OS X Lion and I followed all the steps for setup on the developers forum but whenever I typed in the password on my iPad to go onto and see the Mac screen, I always get this message "Authentication Failed" and below it it says that my password is incorrect. Can anyone clarify to me what password we are supposed to use or do we use the one that we log into the computer with. Is there anything else that I could possibly be doing wrong. ✓ I get both sidesLIsten here's the thing.... This following review is neither a good or bad one for this app. I COMPLETELY!!! Understand how some users out there can easily be frustrated with this app. It comes with extremely poor instructions, it's soooo not user friendly, and yes the support site does come off as insulting to the clients. However I happen to be one of the lucky ones who did get this app to work for free. It was not easy and certainly not headache free. Once I did get it working I must say it did do the trick. I haven't had much experience with other similar apps but for an app that promises to remotely control my desktop it did just that. Yes the whole point of an apple product is to make life easy and yes it should be effortless and user friendly but every once in a while you come a cross certain apps that require mind splitting effort or zen like patience to get started. That being said I paid nothing,,, I spent 5min intervals working on setting it up so not to completely waste my time and now it works. Do I recommend this app???? Maybe to those who understand that not everything can be easy or perfect all the time every first shot. Does it need improvement????? HELL YESS!!!!! Is the price worth it????? Listen free is free is free is free ... If you don't get it going after an hour max of trying just delete it and move on don't go spending money to fix a free problem. ✓ First update in two years "bugfix" still not iPhone 6 optimized!After the first update released for this app in more than 2 years, that I had assumed was abandoned, with release notes simply saying "bugfix" I was hopeful that the app was now up to date and iOS 9 optimized. No such luck. It is still not even iPhone 6 screen size optimized, probably my only app that is still distorted from iPhone 5 proportions to fit an iPhone 6. The app looks the same, except I think the banner ad might be new. There is still the constant spammy pop up selling "Pharoh's Treasure" or whatever, despite the fact that I (and probably the vast majority of users of this app) have absolutely no interest in Pharo's treasure slot games. I'm guessing screen sharing users aren't exactly that ad's target audience 🙄. This app is so badly optimized that I haven't even tried using its screen sharing recently, I am waiting for a hopeful update that actually changes something for the better..Version: 1.3.9

It didn't work though at work where the admin. seems to be paranoid about this kind of inter-connectivity. So, it is great at home. Period. I don't try to push it further; especially to the extent of paying money for more frustration. I do have one suggestion though. I'd like to see click-and-drag or double-click-and-drag ability. ✓ Impressive!!I've never really got into the apple products or software before, but now I have a family of products I've decided to see what they can all do, this product is a fantastic free app that let's you do the basics from your other iOS devices in my case the nu ipad mini,(I can't see the point having it on the iPhone) I was amazed it does what it says on the tin FOR FREE!!!! I'm only giving it 3 stars however for the terrible lag it has, as a basis to keep an eye on stuff whilst you are away it's great, for working with seamlessly for long periods of time forget it... Apps on the mac [i played angry birds from space] can be used on the ipad through this app however NO SOUND is transmitted and the screen doesn't fit properly. All though it looks nice it's a little impractical. I'd suggest to get splash top 2 if you plan to actually use this with out wanting to throw your ipad through your mac or tv, as splash top 2 plays sound and is full screen and full accessibility and looks EXACTLY as it appears on the mac. ✓ Not quite there....Installed after a couple or three tries. You must have a password to be authenticated, blank will not do. Once connected, I was impressed with the clarity and crispness of the screen. I could move the mouse pointer but I could never get a tap on the screen to work like a click of the mouse. The keyboard worked, but not the mouse. I tried setting it up with my dyndns address to see if I could access my Mac from outside my home network. No such luck. ✓ What?You have got to be kidding me!! Anyone that gives this app a favorable review must be paid by the developers or one of them. I have had this app for months and it's useless. It never worked and never will. If you're saying it's great and it is the best you must be following a different set of instructions than I have for the Last 6 months. Don't get me wrong, I really wanted it to work but no app is worth this headache. Most of these apps promise the world and deliver a grain of sand IF you upgrade to the "full version". One I bought almost worked but the refresh was soooo slow it was pretty much useless too.... I'm starting to think that they're all "proof of concept" but that it really can't be done. ✓ "Upgraded for the retina display"?I'm streaming my mac mini running a 1080p tv display to my iPad 3 over n wifi. I get 0.5-1fps if I'm lucky (and usually I'm not). Unusable for controlling apps. Waste of money if you have a reasonable screen res. I can transfer files to my mac very fast so it's not the connection. They have said they would compress the data to improve speeds but no update has been forwarded and I'm not holding my breath. Support forums are full of spam and no help is offered even after a week of waiting and messaging. If your comfortable setting u a VNC connection, pay your money take your chance. ✓ Very cool but it keeps quittingIt's very cool to be able to open programs like InDesign from your iPhone. The pro version is a must if you want to do anything other than look through your folders. ✓ App crashes a lot!Don't bother with this crappy app. If and when you figure out how to sync up and connect to your Mac, which was very frustrating and time consuming, you will only be disappointed upon connecting because this app crashes frequently. And don't even get me started on the dozen or so times it crashed while configuring it - warning, make sure you enter the password correctly because it doesn't like to let you change it later. It crashed every time I went back into the password setting area to try and change the login password. The only work around I found was to Delete the current configuration and start all over. ✓ Not easyI'm not sure quite what I hoped to do with this App. It was so difficult to set it up and get it going that my hopes are rather dashed. I found the whole business quite difficult but now having sorted it out it all seems rather simple. My advice would be to read the instructions very carefully and consider EXACTLY what they mean. Be sure that you understand what passwords the instructions talk about. I fear that I may have upset my iMac's workings with all the changes I made trying to get it all going.
