✓ Tips & Tricks - worth gettingI've had this little app for a while now, and it updates itself regularly, so it's always relevant. When I first got an iPad, it was a bit confusing. There was so much I didn't know, and I'd no way of finding out. (Apart from Apple's Tips, but even that was limited to one a week, and not everything was relevant to my life.) Somehow, I found out about Tips & Tricks, and I'm so glad I did. Now everything made sense, and it was the next best thing to having a manual with the product. (Never makes sense to me, that - if you haven't bought an Apple product before you're going to know zilch.) Once it was an easy to use, elegant experience with a beautiful page-turning feature that was a joy to use. Now it is just an ugly and fragmented load of rubbish. ✓ Great tips I know, great tips I didn't know until I got this appI acquired an iPad Mini earlier this month and this app was well worth the 69p because it has lots of useful tips to get the most out of my iPad whether I knew them or not. The newest tips for me were the split keyboard and the apostrophe when holding down the exclamation mark, same applies to holding down the question mark for speech/quotation marks. ✓ Apple TrickeryI thought Apple was supposed to be more ethical than the team at Microsoft. It appears not. At least with Microsoft they will give this info for free. This is a great app, but you shouldn't have to pay for instructions for an appliance you have purchased. When you buy a car you don't get charged extra for the manual. ✓ Pleasantly surprisedI was a bit sceptical about this - I've had an iPhone for 3 years and an iPad for 6 months, and thought I'd figured out all the undocumented tricks. 69p was a small price to pay for the 'test' to see whether this was true. There's 105 tips at the moment, and yes, I knew the majority already. However, there were about 40 or so that I didn't know, and of those 20 will be very useful. Yet to be seen whether the app will be updated to take account of the upcoming iOS 6. Hopefully it will, and it will also be released as the new iOS comes out or as soon as possible thereafter - that'll be when it would be invaluable. As far as the reviews criticising the lack of an Apple manual with all of these tips in, that's hardly the developers fault.
