Piano Notes Pro for Positive User Reviews

Fantastic!Great music app for learning! Even if you have zero experience this will get you going in no time! And now with a low price I can only rush you to get it! Don't think twice!.Version: 1.3.0

Excellent appThis is an excellent app for learning how to read notes. I purchased almost every app like this and nothing compares. The other programs have one or two good elements incorporated but they are always lacking something important like for example, they only teach the major scales but not the minor scales and or leave out the flats and sharps. Other apps have the full scale but they don't show you where the notes are and so on and so forth. So after downloading five different apps that teach sight reading, this is the best one so far. Now to improve this app, in the next iteration of this software, we need to include sight reading games similar to the ones found on the "piano notes" app where you play against time. Also include the actual notes scale-wheel visual and make it interactive along with building in a pitch listening module. This is the most comprehensive software so far but I still have to use.Version: 1.3.8

The best its kindSimply the best in its category. Beautiful and intuitive interface with lots of control and customization. Would love to have both treble and bass staffs be visible at the same time so I can be tested on both simultaneously. Also would be great if it kept track of my errors so I can see which notes I have trouble with and then go back and work on those notes in particular. But in a category that has a slew of mediocre apps, this one stands out as the best. Thanks for the great work..Version: 1.3.0

Thea bestThe best app EVER!!!.Version: 1.3.8

Very Helpful, and fun, too!I'm a fifty-something newbie to reading music, and this app is the best of the 4 or 5 I've tried. With all of the different settings, you can start at the absolute beginning--but then, as you progress, you'll be able to tweak various settings and keep challenging yourself. WELL worth the money!.Version: 1.4.1

The bestLove this. At 63, I’m finally learning how to read music. I had a problem with sound and wrote to them and they got back to me straightaway telling me how to fix the problem. Great App and great service..Version: 1.5.4

HappyI have started teaching my 6 and 5 year old, they can't get enough of it. One of the best apps I've ever purchased! This app is great for all ages..Version: 1.3.8

Great and easy to learnI've tried a LOT of apps to help me learn while on the go. This one is by far the best, elegant and very practical. I and my kids can all improve our piano sight reading skills when we are at home too!.Version: 1.6.5

Great applicationVery professional piano software. Sound quality is very great. Touching the iPad play wonderful music melody. For piano beginners.Version: 1.5.3

Piano game proEver since I started playing this game i've been the best at playing piano in your whole class. If u want to be the most populists person in your class just download piano game pro in your iPad iPod touch and in this game you'll learn how to play piano in ten minute ( I got an A+ in my music test just for playing this game so download this game and I gatentee u, u will get an A+ in your music test).Version: 1.3.8

Fun way to learn scales, note recognition and sight readingThis is the perfect answer to the problem of boring drills on the scales and repetitious sight reading exercises. I'm learning on my own and this has filled a critical gap in my skill development. Excellent and many times worth it. A big thanks to the developers!.Version: 1.3.9

BrilliantThis is a brilliant app for learning the notes. I have it connected to my keyboard via Midi for ease of use..Version: 1.6.5

GreatExcellent aid to improving sight reading. Especially helpful when I connect the iPad to my MIDI digital piano with the camera connection kit and MIDI to USB cable. Would like it to have some of the features in the previous program I used (PrestoKeys) but I'm sure it will get better with each update..Version: 1.3.8

ExcellentThis is such a great app for learning how to play the piano. Beautifully designed and very intuitive to use. I love the color-coded feature that shows you which key to press corresponding to the correct note..Version: 1.5.3

BY FAR the best app for learning to sight readI've acquired more sight reading ability, and done so faster, with this app than with any other I've tried (and I've tried a lot). I use it with my Yamaha MIDI keyboard. I can set the range of notes I want to learn in the treble clef and/or in the bass clef. I began by selecting ABCDE in the treble clef with the middle finger on C. Then I did the same range and hand position in the bass clef. After becoming proficient at that, I broadened the range of notes to GABCDEF so that I only had to reach up or down one note from those home hand positions. This app made it SO easy to select the range of notes I needed to learn. If you have a MIDI capable keyboard call you music store, get the MIDI to USB cable you need and the USB adapter for your iPad and you're good to go. Everybody should learn piano this way..Version: 1.4.1

Great appThis has really helped me learn the notes...having trouble getting my sons to play it though. Perhaps a player1/player2 competition would work. It would also be nice to be able to toggle to type in note names -- so you can practice both. Thanks!.Version: 1.2.8

Worth every penny! What really makes this app great is the midi support through the usb camera connection kit. Using this, I am able to connect my iPad 1 to a digital piano so that my 9 year old daughter can practise her sight reading. I really appreciate the addition of chords to the practice options. Please keep the new features coming. Now what would be really great would be to develop this app or a new app to allow you to practise real songs, not just random notes. There are a few apps that do this, but none that provided midi support as well. Thanks!.Version: 1.3.2

Great trainer!!!I stopped playing years ago,but using this app I'm able to learn the keyboard using the training mode, to learn the notes again , more you practice everything will come back to you it's a brill app highly recommended !!!!.Version: 1.3.8

Brilliant app.I reviewed the treble free version and referred to this full version, which I have found fantastic. The only midi compatible sight reading tutor that works . Thanks..Version: 1.6.6

I've tried them allThis was the best. Most options. Most common sense layout. Most like reading a real score. Thanks. I've learned the hard bit of reading music using this..Version: 1.5.4

Quite good but...I actually like this app very much; good layout and quite useful. But... Do you know what would make this app REALLY GREAT ? If it could HEAR the notes being played on a real piano !!! I am sure a gifted programmer such as yourself would have no problem implementing this for the ipad 2 using the internal mic. Pretty please. I really need to improve my sightreading. Thanks. Ddh.Version: 1.2.7

Helped me a lotThis app has helped me so much. I use it every day as I am a beginner. I just learned how to display 4 notes at a time in the tutorial which speeded up my learning tremendously. Less frustrating and more reinforcement to learn small bites at a time.I have shown this app to my music teacher and she was amazed at what it does..Version: 1.6.5

AMAZING!!!15 minutes a day has turned my daughters piano lessons from a struggle to a delight. Her teacher can't believe the progress she has made with her sight reading. I credit this application with that progress--completely. Flash cards never worked well for her, nor did the numerous other methods we tried. But ever since I hooked my ipad to our full sized 88 key digital piano, she has begun excelling. My sincere thanks to developer of this app!.Version: 1.4.2

I can finally read music! As an adult learning to play piano, this app has accelerated my note reading skills. Everything else I get from my teacher and practice. This is the perfect app for me..Version: 1.3.8

Superb!Version 1.3.8 I bought this app 2 days ago and am already totally hooked! After many unsuccessful years attempting to learn to sight read, this app is really helping me to make progress. An excellent app for anyone wishing to improve their sight reading skills. It also works well with my Yamaha DGX630 using the iPad camera connector..Version: 1.3.8

Amazing App!An amazing application that really simplifies the process of reading and understanding the rich language of musical notes. It's a steal for only $1.99, and it is more reliable than $50+ piano lessons. As a plus, it's a beautifully designed app with a great user interface, why wouldn't you download the app?.Version: 1.3.0

Great Application.I purchased the app as a relative beginner and have gone on to purchase a number of other apps that combined improve my sight reading skills and knowledge of notes, chords, keys and so forth. I use the application every day and it does everything it promises and is really fun to use and I never get tired of trying to improve my scores and playing. There are apps that look into music theory more and thus would help with the use of this app, but this app is not a music theory app in the sense it doesn't explain why but rather facilitates one practising the note positions on the keyboard with the notation. It is a great starting point for a beginner and as I have improved I like it even more and use it more. I used it initially and it became the catalyst for wanting to learn more music theory. I have continued to use it and as I understand more it becomes more useful. Thoroughly recommended if you want to learn piano and improve your ability and it is really great value too plus a great design and overall user interface..Version: 1.3.2

Excellent learning appAfter almost 30 years without reading music, I got back on the horse thanks to this, thank you so much..Version: 1.3.8

Great app!Use this in teaching daily. Would love for it to display its notes but have the student play it on their piano and for the app to hear the note rather than playing it on the iPad but a guy can dream! Good job!.Version: 1.3.8

Superb fantastic appFantastic App.. This was exactly what all i was looking for.. I have tried several apps and found this to be one of the best notes trainer in the market.... Very nice and simple design.. Very happy with your work.Version: 1.6.5

My perfect friendAmazingly superb I love everything about it. Makes the tutorials very easy to learn. I love to play piano when I become emotional and nostalgic....It's like my best friend who accompanies me all the time in all situations....Keep it up.Version: 1.6.5

The bestWorks wonders for my daughters.Version: 1.4.9

Superb!Really useful app for learning note recognition with both hands and chord familiarisation. Especially good when you hook up to a midi keyboard via the Apple camera connector..Version: 1.3.4

Excellent. A real pleasure to use.I am topping my best score each time I use this wonderful app. Will be reading music like words in no time..Version: 1.3.8

Perfect app for meThis app is exactly what I want to be able to connect my keyboard to my iPad and practice note reading, scales, chords, and so on..Version: 1.6.0

Amazing appSo easy to use and will make you a skillful piano master . Must try it.Version: 1.6.5

ExcellentI think it is the best music note trainer . It is easy to use. And the interface it is simple. Recommend..Version: 1.5.1

Piano teacher loves it!I have all the latest and greatest apps for my students. This one is really terrific. My students used it with my midi function on a clavinova and it works really well. I especially like that a note turns red if played wrong and the student cannot go ahead unless they play it correctly..Version: 1.6.5

Superb! Note training done the right wayAs a long time keyboard player and wanting to teach my kids to play and read music I wanted an app they could have fun with and learn sheet music the right way and this app does that in spades. So many tutorials and learning tools focus on the note names when teaching sheet music which is fine but the single most important thing to learn is not the note name but which actual key it represents on the piano. That's what this app focuses on. The fact that it's a game with high scores makes it fun even for an old player like me. It improves all aspects of sight reading even for experienced players including key signatures. The kids love playing it and have improved tremendously in just a couple days. The only changes I would suggest is some way to track progress over time and the option to play chords although I can see the issue with chords on a virtual keyboard. Bottom line - if you want to improve your sight reading skills get this app. Wish I could give it ten stars..Version: 1.2.4

Very goodIt's awesome, and I like how it guides you on how to use it when you've installed it for the first time, and how it shows how long, and what notes to press, nice and really easy to use . It helps me to know how to play many poplular song. Just download and enjoy!.Version: 1.6.5

Does what is says it doesApp works as adverticed, i just wished it would remember the notes i am not particularly good at and a) focuses the test more on the weak notes as well as b) shows me at the end of a test which are my weak notes. Certainly not bad for the money..Version: 1.3.8

WowThis is better than ALL the other "piano training" apps. You'll learn how to read the scales in no time, and if you try hard enough, you can pretty much know all the flats and sharps in any key. I think you guys also should more chords. Like 7, min7, maj 7s in the chord training..Version: 1.3.8

Love this pianoI have no piano skills what so ever and I have played all the free piano apps and this one is by far the best and I almost sound like I'm playing something . I give it 5 stars.Version: 1.3.8

Great, but needs real musical scoresPlaying random notes is fine, and this is a great app, but I for one would learn more if I was playing a real tune. I would know I played a right or wrong note by hearing it (I don't have perfect pitch, but I do know when I play a note that isn't part of a familiar tune). Take this app to the next level for a fifth star. But thanks for a great app!!.Version: 1.3.2

So great!Nice little app! Really shows your progress! Love this app. Really like how the star chart can help you set goals. You can also have fun with this too!.Version: 1.6.7

Wonderful Piano notes learning app!I really enjoy Piano Note Pro for learning musical notes. I use to play violin for years. After not touching a music a musical instrument for over a decade, I can't read anymore. Piano Note helps me read notes faster. It's certainly a lot faster than trial and error sitting in front of my piano. What I like to see in an update would be games to see how many keys I pressed correctly within a time internal. Allow players to set time limit to 1 minute, 5 minute or whatever they choose. Also to keep records for most keys pressed in 1 minute as well as daily records & weekly records. That way it motivates players to keep playing. If it's not too much trouble, add an option to add notes so I can practice my current musical pieces :-).Version: 1.6.0

Excellent appI am not a piano player per say but I have found this app absolutely indispensable. It works by reinforcing everything you are learning and playing. Great stuff.....keep it up..Version: 1.3.9

Excellent appFantastic way to learn to sightread sheet music in the piano! I love that it keeps track of which notes you know well and which you don't. As a trumpet player I've found it particularly useful in demystifying the base clef. Great work and highly recommend!.Version: 1.6.5

Perfect!I've been looking for an app that teaches while using an actual, physical keyboard piano. Plugged my iPad into my keyboard, and the app immediately recognized every key I pressed. I wish the app also tutored on proper finger movement and placement when moving up and down the keyboard..Version: 1.4.9

EXCELLENTHAve always wanted to learn piano but reading the notes just doesn't come naturally. This app is really excellent.....it's fun and before you know it...you are reading the notes and hitting the right keys with great accuracy. THANK YOU!!! Just wish there was another one by the same people that was actually playing real songs. Very realistic graphics and incredible sound!!!.Version: 1.3.8

Best Piano App Ever!Because of this app, I am beginning to learn piano again. I'm memorizing the notes and the place of them, and my mom says if I do well, she will sign me up for piano lessons! This app is a big help to me! Keep going with the apps!.Version: 1.3.8

Terry DThis is a very good app! I am learning to recognize the notes on the scale quite quickly! I've had very little practice reading musical notation. This makes it very easy to understand the relationship of notes to keys on the piano. I've always been able to find middle c on a keyboard, but never knew where it lay on the staff? Now I know! Thanks! Great app! Got to go, and practice some more!.Version: 1.3.8

Put the time in you will get the rewardAmazing. One of the best self learning apps I've used..Version: 1.3.8

Well what can I say about this brilliant appWell what can I say about this brilliant app, I am learning (very slowly) the piano at the moment and found this app by chance it is helping me understand notes and where they are on the piano Well done guys I would love to be able to record the notes as the are pressed and be able to play along with them as well (one day).Version: 1.3.8

Bass with treble optionIt's a great tool, but why isn't there an option to have bass and treble clef reading at the same time? Chords and melody...Version: 1.4.9

AwesomeI can read music pretty well, but I'd be nothing without practice. This piano note help me a lot in learning how to play piano.it's a best teacher for beginners..Version: 1.5.1

Best in classThis is by far and away the best sheet music trainer on the app store. I wish it would incorporate some rhythm/melody training, but those are in point of fact the only features I currently want that the app doesn't have. A must-buy if you want a fully functioning sheet music trainer..Version: 1.3.8

I can now sight read!!!I really put the time in on this app. I can now sight read really well considering I have had no lessons at all. It won't do the work for you - but this app is perfect if you plan on practising. I have just discovered the different test modes. Was previously using just the random test mode. But the ascending and chord modes are really useful. Thanks so much. Planning on buying a midi adaptor and seeing if it works with my keyboard. Thanks for this app.Version: 1.5.4

Fabulous for Adult Learners TooI love this app! I could never master ledger reading as a kid. This app has changed all that. This is easy, fun, and yep, even an adult can do it. Better than any note speller I've tried and so much cheaper than even one workbook. You can play over and over and over until you can do it in your sleep. What a difference this has made in my return to the piano. Now I can concentrate on all the nuances of playing music, the technique. I really enjoy the time I spend working on a piece now. Have kids? They will be much better musicians after spending some of their practice time with this app. I can only imagine how much more I would have gotten out of lessons if I'd had this..Version: 1.3.8

Terrific app!!! I want to give it 6 Stars!!!I really like the way its laid out, works great. I've only used it a short while but feel it really works. ——- Review update: This app deserves more than 5 stars. Its completely bug free in my experience. It even forgives accidental quick doube taps on the same note! The program is so well designed with its layout and features. The stars awards and scoring really pushes you. There is no lag or waiting for the next note, everything is instant response. Love this app, note reading has improved because of it. I agree with your slogan, it’s “The Best Music Note Trainer on iPad”. Thanks a million..Version: 1.6.6

Great applicationWould be nice if we could play both keys (hands) in the same exercice. Great application in general. MIDI input connectivity works perfectly with usb camera adaptor and midi cable..Version: 1.3.8

Great AppThis has to be one of the best note trainers out there,if not the best.Version: 1.5.4

Great little app!I've always wanted something like this. Another reviewer pointed out there is little guidance. This is true and could be improved (for 5*), but I found it only takes a moment or two to work out what to do. Great fun! It would be even better, perhaps, if it could be enhanced to be polyphonic and test on more than one note simultaneously - although I am personally far from being able to cope with that yet. Another nice-to-have would be to have a mode where you could play the notes and have it recorded on the score. To be fair, neither of the these are really what the app is about..Version: 1.2.7

Great for beginners! It's been many years since I have read music, so I'm in need of a quick refresher. This app is exactly what I needed. Being able to plug it directly into my piano via USB makes it that much better. If it could import sheet music and display bass and treble at the same time I would give it 5 stars..Version: 1.3.0

Great note trainerEasy to use, quick results..Version: 1.3.8

One of the two very best apps availablePianoNotes Pro made me the piano player I am; it is just excellent. I've also just discovered Note Trainer (the one by thoor) and I highly recommend both apps in combination. Both work superbly with my MIDI keyboard (requires $30 Lightning/USB camera adapter from Apple); my piano sight reading has gone from agonizingly slow to fluent in months. Both come with free iPhone versions. Differences: NT runs no timer, but only gives you one shot at hitting the right note(s); PNP does the opposite. NT is more structured and explanatory — it feels like more of a course; PNP keeps your high score like a video game, which I find wonderfully addictive (and has a guest setting too). NT teaches you the more complex chords when you're ready; PNP offers more personalization and now tests you on your scales. NT offers multiple-choice buttons too, for non-pianists; on the other hand PNP lets you slap the name of the notes on the onscreen keyboard if you choose. Between them these two apps have more than justified the price of my iPad and given me a full and effective education in piano-playing and sight reading. Thank you ShiningCode!.Version: 1.5.2

Good appThis is a very useful piano practice tool app.We can play the piano via this app.Really very amazing..Version: 1.5.2

Good app! This app, which I am using on my iPad, has dramatically increased the speed at which I am learning to sight read notes and hit the right notes on the piano. It allows one also to practice in different keys; bass and treble separately and to choose the range of notes to be studied. Excellent both for beginners and also for the experienced..Version: 1.3.8

Love the appOne of the best music apps.Version: 1.6.7

UsefulIt's a self learning app for piano beginner like me ,it contains humane teaching notes , you can learn piano easily and happily ..Version: 1.5.1

It's AmazingThis application has taught me more in three days than I've learned in three months reading teach yourself books. Thoroughly recommended !!.Version: 1.3.8

Such a great app!I'm looking forward to wowing my piano teacher and having him tell me to throw away my sight reading book! Well maybe thats a going too far but still! Fun fun app and learning something at the same time!.Version: 1.2.7

Being my ageI'm on my grade 2 and I'm not the best music reader. This has helped me miles! By lizzybusy.Version: 1.3.8

AwesomePerfect Piano Instrument software, wonderful sound quality. I like to play music on the iPad devices. Simulate realistic piano instrument. I can practice piano courses themselves.Version: 1.5.3

Option for Line/Space Notes Only?I've played around with the app and it's great. However, when I teach reading, it's much easier to start off with line/space notes only for practice. It would be great if you could include a "line/space" note only option..Version: 1.4.9

PianoNotes ProAmazing, will recommend to people who play piano, it’s too awesome.Version: 1.6.6

Impressed! It is really good and easy to play with. I am a piano and guitar instructor and I am going to use this apps for their piano notes reading test to all my students..Version: 1.3.8

AmazingIt’s so much fun and helpful as well as handy for new learners like me, i will never uninstall it, great work, interactive tutorial with suitable modes for you to train and other useful features, has a loads of free song notes. Must have for piano lessons.Version: 1.6.5

Recommended for Beginners!I'm not a beginner but I got this app for a friend and she just loves it! The user interface isn't complicated at all and it's just a breeze to use...it'd be greater with more features like both bass and treble clefs at the same time....Version: 1.3.0

Excellent tutorVery very pleased with the free version which was so much better then the paid ones. Color coded, names of notes piano keyboard. Everthing. Now I am getting their pro version only 2.99 will see how it is. Love the ease of use. Get it and learn. So many visual cues also.Version: 0

Perfect learning toolI've been playing piano off and on for years and never got good at reading music and thought is was about time to do so. Luckily I found this app and it's been great... exactly what I needed. Basically, it shows you notes and you play them on the keyboard. But there are many things that make it special... Getting a score turns it into a game which keeps you coming back for more. Unlike other apps that show one note at a time, this will show multiple notes at a time, which helps you look ahead and build up some speed. You have fine control over the range of notes to be tested and how long each game/session lasts. 3 different piano zoom levels is great. And finally, it just looks pretty well polished. My only request might be... when I get a note wrong, I sometimes don't notice that I got it wrong until 2 notes later, as I'm reading ahead and don't notice the text that pops up. A sound signaling a wrong note might be nice. ? Anyway, thanks Patrick for this great app. It's been really helpful and I'm excited that I can finally start reading simple sheet music much quicker now..Version: 0

Great app!!Very usefull.Version: 1.3.8

Excellent!Très bon son! super app!.Version: 1.3.8

Best App for brainwashing sight reading music . AWESOMEI've been struggling to read music especially the bass clef and have been putting it for a while but I can honestly say that this app has made it fun and so much easier to learn to read music . I kind of unconsciously brain washes you read music and before you know it you can read any note on the score without hesitation I've tried many other notation apps but this one by far is the best !!!!! Well done and I can believe it Free and I would gladly pay for this apps Thank You So Much.Version: 1.3.8

Great but room for some improvementVery nice app that would benefit from a few additional features such as: - ability to select a scrolling score - scales - simultaneous left and right hand practice - timed (with metronome) including rests quavers, beamed notes, articulation marks, tempo indication, etc. - scores for musical pieces of varying complexity (could be in app purchase) - the ability to add ones own music. (I would happily pay more money for an app with all these features).Version: 1.3.8

Very awesome!I picked it up when it was free, and I'm tellin ya I'd pay for this. I've gone from knowing nothing to knowing how to read 8 keys off the music sheet and almost properly hit them without assistance in only 3 hours of using the app. Really good training utility. If I could ask for a feature maybe some sheet music or actual music for people to try playing against as random kind of turns into annoying noise after a while (there is a mute)..Version: 1.3.8

ExcellentI got my wife an iRig Keys keyboard for Christmas, and she really wanted something to use with it to learn to sight read. I tried a number of other apps before finding this one, and it's by far the best. Works perfectly with the keyboard too..Version: 1.4.1

Good programI am a beginner. I bought this and mozart. I like note goal better. It has more learning tools like telling you the names of the notes on the keyboard and options to limit highest and lowest note and number of notes to learn during the lesson and extensive help levels including a tutor mode. Much more features than mozart. Get note goal..Version: 0

Simple, yet effectiveWhen it comes to learning how to play notes, my first go-to option is this app. Since I don't own a piano yet, and I have classes on them, I can practice my knowledge of the notes while I'm on the run and at home. Pick this great app up.Version: 1.6.5

Very nice butCan you please disable both the splash screen and the selection of user before the piano appears. This is annoying and doesnt serve any purpose. Also I dont think you should have 2different version for iPad, and iPhone. Customers hate that..Version: 1.4.2

Piano Notes ProI saw it , I bought it, I tried it, I found it amazing, what a sensable way to learn about music and beng able to read printed sheet music and learn the piano keys associated with the music. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about music and piano's..Version: 1.3.8

Great Program for Learning! This program has really improved my sight reading skills. If you are a little rusty and would like to get better, this program is the solution..Version: 1.5.1

A cut above the rest, I highly recommend. This is the one! I have tried multiple note reading apps, and, compared to those other ones, this one seems to be the only one which was created by an individual who actually understands how to read music and has thought how to best create an app to teach others. I think that if they put some work in, there are even more possibilities which this particular app could offer. I would give it more stars if I could. Thanks for the program!.Version: 0

Incredible funMakes sight reading fun for children. Very configurable as well, allowing min and max note ranges to be set on a per user basis This app allows you to customise how easy or hard to to begin learning with and you just tune the aspects of reading that you want to practice with.Version: 1.4.6

Beats all piano apps, hands down!Without a doubt, the best piano app on the iPad. I look forward to practicing with this app. I have improved tenfold. If this only existed 20 years ago. The only thing I would do differently is to add the choice to play ONLY certain key's chords. So for example, if a student wanted to practice "c" chords only, they could. If that were possible, this app would be unstoppable!!!!!.Version: 1.5.4

Excellent App!The free version is great! I was so happy with the free version I bought the app just to support them. I only tried one of their apps I can’t speak for their other apps..Version: 1.6.7

Simple and very useful. This app has the basic features and should help people to recognize notesnon the stave. Nothing fancy, I could go on and sugest a bunch of new features but for the price you can't go wrong..Version: 1.3.8

Suggestion HereThis is a helpful and well done app for practice. I have had it for a long time. However - I WOULD LOVE it even more if there were some actual songs added inside the app in addition to playing random notes. I feel that it would add a little something and encourage practicing more often. How about some songs that help with interval recognition? Thanks for your attention. And thank you for a wonderful app. Five Stars here..Version: 1.5.4

Great for learnersThe update fixed the often complained about sound problems. For me at least, and for now, so I'll give back the stars I stole. ;-) A great app that really does help you learn notes. Now if I could only sit down more frequently to practice ....Version: 1.3.5

Fun to useI’ve had this app for a few years now and I love it because of how easy it is to use. This might not be the usual intended usage, but I use the app as part of my musical workflow when I wake up from a dream with a tune in my head - I use it to figure out the notes, then I get onto my computer to put the notes into my DAW. It’s also fun to use as a way to play “piano” for others! The learning functionality of the app is also pretty useful if you’re a piano novice..Version: 1.5.4

This a brilliant appI have never been able to grasp sight reading but this app makes it so much more fun and interesting than books or videos. I have only been using it 5 days and have already noticed vast improvements and can now actually imagine Learning to read notation. Thanks so much for a great app :-).Version: 1.3.8

Not a bad appLittle clunky on the interface, but it does what it says on the tin....Version: 1.3.8

Midi option?I like this program a lot. Simple, effective, and fun!!! Why isn't there an option for midi setup? It wold be great to have the ability to connect to a digital keyboard. Maybe, even have an audio ability where the program can recognize notes being played from another audio source..Version: 1.3.8

ExcellentThis is a great supplemental theory program for my young piano students. Easy to choose what areas need worked on and I can keep track of their progress. The kids live that they are using the iPad for theory instead of using boring old books! I recommend this for private teachers of young students just learning to read music..Version: 1.4.3

Music teacher/musicianI just love your software. I use it everyday and encourage my students to use it also. It's a must ahave application to see real progress in your sight reading and the real bonus is that it's fun to use and can be customized depending on your level. Thanks so much, Scincerely, Luc.Version: 1.3.8

Useful, but uglyI purchased several of these apps. This was by far the best in terms of functionality. It allows custom ranges which has helped me immensely in my progress by slowly increasing the number of notes being tested. My only complaint is that I find it aesthetically very ugly. Overall, I love this app and it was worth every penny..Version: 1.4.2

Very helpfulBeginner and need to improve sight reading. It might be boring for others, but to me, I love it. It's very helpful to get familiar with notes. Sure we need to spend time on it. I hope it will provide chords reading soon. Thanks!.Version: 1.4.0

Simple and elegant.Couldn't find a lot of research out there indicating which app would be suitable for a beginning piano student, age 6. After a few hours of use I can report that the student and her grown-up are much further ahead on their sight reading. It's helpful to toggle the options (color-coding, hints, letters on the keys etc) on and off until you find the right level of challenge for your learner..Version: 1.2.4

Finally!!!It took me days of searching to finally find an iPad app that does exactly what I need. All I want is for an app to display the corresponding piano note when I play a key. Not that difficult of a concept, right?!? I've looked through countless apps (and even wasted money on a few) but surprisingly 99% of the available piano learning apps out there does not have this capability! Maybe I am just not using the right search terms but whatever the case, I am glad I finally found Note Goal Pro. $3 very well spent!!!.Version: 1.2.9

Exactly what I neededThis app is perfect! You will be able to site read in not much time, and the sound is very good. Simple and to the point, this is app so good I use it everyday!.Version: 1.3.8

Great app!I really like this app. I tried out the free version then paid for both clefs and the additional quizzes. It’s easy to configure and when used with a midi keyboard is really effective. Quite addictive too! Thanks!.Version: 1.6.7
