✓ GoodGood little app i like how you can customise the bored and pieces with a fairly wide range of different colours and figures, the coach is my only problem with his constant guidance, his not as smart as you think so i don't trust his opinion on what you should and shouldn't do but I'm glad theres an on/off feature. Recommend if you haven't got social chess, one thing thats needs looking into fixing is when there a few pieces left for example ill have 5 the com will have 3.. It keeps saying stale mate!! ✓ Chess reviewIt seems that the game is great! But the downsides are that there are simply too many levels. Wouldn't it be better to go from levels 1-10 rather than 1-100. This makes it faster and much easier to pick a level to play against. The other downside is that when you are playing against e.g a friend all of their pieces are the wrong way round so it is much harder to play and to make it easier you have to keep on flipping the screen. ✓ First impressionsWell, I’m happy because I’ve been looking for a decent chess teaching game for so long and it seems like I’ve found the solution! I haven’t played much yet but I have high hopes! Now down to the main reason I’m writing this. I want to reach out to the devs saying that the menu, is not very attractive at all. It really needs a decent amount of work done on it. If you could take a pause, make a more esthetic menu and make the buttons larger that would be great. Also, from a users point of view, a modern and simple style interface would be brilliant! Don’t keep all the options on one screen, have a button that leads you to them. And the board customization option is great. Only it takes ages to circle round everything. Maybe have a menu where you scroll down and can see each style in a little image. It would be a lot quicker and nicer looking. If the devs do end up reading all of this, thanks! Good luck and please, make this a priority, it needs to be done and is really it’s only major downfall...Version: 2.91

After posting the above review, a Mastersoft developer took the time to respond to me by calling me a liar, claiming that only one add pops up. He didn't explain how he would know what my experience of his app is. He didn't suggest a reason why I would waste my time to lie about his app. After my original review, I had deleted the app. After the developers response accusing me of lying, I was determined to reload it, film myself playing it, including having to skip through all the ads, and send him the video. However, since reloading it, the ad spam I experienced before has not been repeated. So it seems maybe I had an adware issue. Or maybe Mastersoft have changed something. Since I can no longer replicate the ad Spam I experienced the first time I played Mastersoft chess, I have to accept that the problem might have been due to a third party. I am happy to revise my review score in light of the fact that since reloading it, there has been no ad spam. However, being called a liar is a new experience for me, and I am very unlikely to buy the full version. Chess Pro is in that category that has throughout the years been expertly upgraded into what it is today. Unlike so many other chess apps that use the same Stockfish chess engine, Chess Pro uses a different but still powerful engine that plays a more human type of game compared to Stockfish. The endless options of this app is really mind blowing especially the Pro version that has now introduced 3D boards to compliment the amazing high res pieces that are available. I cannot think of any chess app that has so many pieces and boards to choose from.
