✓ Look No FurtherI tried half a dozen or more apps to stream music from my ReadyNas Duo, and this is by far the best and most versatile. Many apps will stutter or bork when they're not in focus, but this is a winner. If you're already familiar with the SqueezePlay products, the interface is intuitive, fully functional, and stays out of the way. I can play to my iPad, (upgrade required), which sealed the deal, but it can also control other SqueezePlay end points, like the app on my computer, and the hardware device attached to our hi-fi. Expensive, but this is not an average app, and not a functionality on which I want to compromise. You won't be disappointed unless you're looking for some fairly unusual features..Version: 1.10.5

✓ FantasticI was just about to switch to sonos due to inconsistent connection problem from my duet. I saw this app and wanted to give it a try before retiring the logitech system. I'm glad I did. I've had zero issues with my squeezebox since ive used this. Aside from my duet, I'm also using it to control squeezebox2 player. Both work like a charm. I have three small gripes (didn't affect my overall satisfaction) 1) volume slider bar needs to also have a numerical value. 2) some album arts are too grainy. I understand that it could be the file, but in those cases, have it default to native resolution rather than blowing the image up 3) support for portrait mode..Version: 0

✓ SQUEEZEPAD - fabulousI have a particularly demanding (at least for me) where I want to listen to my music in my vacation home - complicated by the fact that all my music is stored in my regular home - and further complicated by the fact that I'm a Mac / iPad newbie. I had lots of problems, but Stefan (the creator of Squeezepad) apparently does not sleep, and has stuck with me as I have intermittently worked on this problem only when on vacation. i.e., he has got me up and running multiple times. Seems he has a much better grasp of my environment than I. And bottom line, it is fabulous. Does exactly what I want, whether it's playing Pandora, listening to the radio over the internet (there's no broadcast here), or accessing my music library. This is one terrific app..Version: 1.7.5

✓ Works beautifullyI haven't tried the Logitech version, but the reviews pointing out that app's slow response to large collections were helpful and led me to choose this one. This one works beautifully. Once installed it immediately and automatically connected to my Squeeze network with zero user configuration. The user interface is slick and responsive and also includes album covers, etc--in fact, I wish the standard computer-based interface looked this good. It lets me operate both Squeezeboxes on my network (one upstairs and one downstairs). The searching works well. I couldn't be more pleased with it. My only very minor quibble is that it only works in landscape orientation, so I sometimes have to rotate my iPad..Version: 1.9.5

We use them to listen to radio stations around the world, podcasts, pandora stations and most importantly have a great alarm clock to wake us up in the morning. ✓ Needs Portrait ModeGreat app and performance seems snappier than the alternative, but to be honest if I'd known it didn't work in portrait mode I would have held off purchase until a later version that will. (I have 1.9.3) I gather most users of this typically have their iPad in Landscape mode, but for most of what I do I have it in Portrait and actually find it kind of awkward to hold landscape with my left hand while selecting songs with right. So it ends up I just use the alternative app (which does have Portrait mode) for controlling my Squeezeboxes. Not really useful to me now, but I'm ok with supporting this developer with my purchase in the hopes that version 2 and Portrait mode option is soon..Version: 1.9.3
✓ Works beautifullyI was a bit dubious about buying this app at first as it seemed quite expensive - although to be fair no more expensive than other similar apps. My fears were completely unfounded as it connected automatically to my squeezebox server and just works beautifully. A much quicker and more intuitive interface than the default squeezebox server web site and so much nicer than scrolling through pages of songs with the remote control. First impressions were great, encouraging me to access my music collection with more ease than ever before. I then tried to stream to iPad upgrade, which worked a treat. I had a minor stumble when the iPad stopped streaming after plugging it into my Zeppelin dock, but on reporting to Stefan, he went as far as pointing me to the specific page in the B&Wmanual (with links) to enable streaming support - nothing to do with SqueezePad. I can't remember the last e-book I bought that didn't have typos or really bad formatting. The new Apple Wireless Keyboard doesn't work with the iPad's function buttons. Hours on the phone with tech support. One headache after another. But Squeezepad is almost too good to be true. I am still shaking my head in disbelief, not because of the mind-bending feats of technological magic it performs (it doesn't really perform any, and doesn't claim to), but because it simply works. ✓ Simply the best for controlling music filesA great reliable app which I’ve used since the original a Squeezebox touch came out and both are still delivering trouble free use every day. The interface is very intuitive and user friendly but you can get into the guts of the program as well if you have that knowledge. I have 800 plus cds saved in lossless WAV format stored in my pc HDD and also backed up on external WD drives as well. I noticed consistent sync issues when playing multiple players. The app has crashed a few times when trying to re-sync multiple players. I'm using Vortexbox as my squeeze player. ✓ A must have for Squeezebox users...who also have an iPad. I have experience with iPeng, Squeezebox Commander and usual Squeezeserver interfaces. This is better than all of them for operating my network of 4 Squeezeboxes. It connected and set up very easily and makes a perfect remote. Album art is displayed beautifully and browsing is simple and speedy. Toggling between zones is a cinch as is synchronising multiple players. The additional function of using iPad as an additional player should be of interest to anyone who likes to listen to hi quality FLAC lossless files. With the addition of an iPad dock, this is the only way that I am aware of to listen to FLAC files across the network wireless to the iPad and then utilising the dock USB out for direct digital output. If you are fortunate enough to have the superb B&W MM1 speakers you can stream to the iPad, then use USB into the B&W internal DAC. It sounds stunning. Great app. Great value. I've been using SlimDevices music server, now SqueezeBox, for a decade now and for me this app has closed the missing link in usability and enjoyment. So far SqueezePad has been very stable, no issues, and has actually been able to get the quirky connection between Slacker and SqueezeBox to work very well, even at an office setup I have where Slacker Radio wouldn't work, this app corrected the connection. ✓ Brilliant!!!This is such a great tool for managing squeezebox kit - both playing music on the devices and for managing music. The initial setup was so easy, I thought I missed some bits only to find SqueezePad was ready to operate both my SB Touch and my SB Classic. Menus, selections, access to play lists, one-touch access to web info on the artist - all put together that it is all kinda obvious; no need for help or manuals. SqueezePad beats Squeezebox web based interface for music and settings management. The end result is tha I control both players from central station and I now have an iPad sized graphic interface for my Squeezebox Classic - a great coffee-table addition that is so much better than universal remote. After about six months of use I still can't find anything to complain about. Love it..Version: 1.11.6
✓ Excellent use of the iPad screenPurchased this yesterday and am loving the simplicity and speed of the app. I already have another app for my iPhone and while it works extremely well also I thought I would take advantage of the sale. Extremely glad I did. Within 5 minutes I felt I had owned the app for months. Even my 10 year old son pretty much mastered it's use very quickly. And as I said everything seems extremely quick. ✓ Squeezepad - nice appI have used the Squeezepad app for the Logitech squeezebox touch, on my iPad for a year now. A great way to control your SB Touch remotely. ✓ Probably the best App I have.For anyone that has the Logitech Squeezebox system, this app is a must. The design looks fantastic on the iPad. I can sit with my iPad and select my songs for my playlists and re-arrange songs by simply dragging and dropping. When I am away from home I can now stream my music over the Internet and listen to it through my iPad. This last feature does require you to be running your own squeezebox server though. ✓ Excellent appWorks very well and the support was first-class. It has rejuvenated my Squeezebox boom - previously I hated having to turn the knob and naviagate through the menus manually. Now I can see it all with a swipe. There is an amazing selection of internet radios from around the world at my fingertips. I am thrilled with this app. I was planning to upgrade to Sonos but no need now, besides which Sonos is twice as expensive. Will be trying with a second squeezebox (radio) shortly. I am now wholly exploiting the Squeezebox server on my PC and not using the Web site where originally I had my favorite radio stations. ✓ This Is My Favorite AppIf I could give this more than 5 stars I would. This app controls all my radios and can sync all of them if I wish. It can control every last aspect of your radio(s) and do it well, and without fail. The UI is easy to follow as its laid out just as the radio is. One caveat: it doesn't seem to allow the most obvious use of the screen space: current playlist on one side and current track information (artwork, title, album, artist etc.) on the other. Like most people, I rarely interact with the menus, but often want to see what's playing and what's coming up next. Instead you get menus on the left, track info on the right, and the playlist slides out up over the top of the track info. (So needs a way of sliding the menus off the left of the screen, just like you can slide the playlist off the right.).Version: 0

✓ Very niceI have a second gen. squeezebox and was struggling to use the web interface to control it. It worked, at BEST, ok. I thought $10 was a lot for this app. (2nd most I've ever paid), but even after just one day I'm very happy with the purchase. It turns the iPad into a fantastic controller. The Wikipedia feature is a gimmick, but actually very nice. ✓ Totally worth it!Great interface, far superior to the official Logitech app. Makes it incredibly easy to navigate a large library (mine's 80K tracks, for example). The app is fast, responsive, intuitive, well-designed, and it just works. No complaints. The ability to stream my squeezebox to a remote device is something I've been looking for for years. And Squeezepad delivers! The "stream to iPad" feature works beautifully. I use it around the house all the time, and it's a bargain for what it delivers. It would be nice to have portrait mode added and maybe be able to customize the menus a bit, but overall this is a vast improvement over the stock Logitech software and I am really happy with it..Version: 1.9.5
✓ Squeezepad - superb app, fantastic valueBought this app to control my squeezebox network from the ipad, with 5 receivers and radios spread across various rooms at home. Also bought the in-app option to turn ipad into an extra receiver. The interface looks very stylish, and the album artwork looks simply stunning on Squeezepad. All the controls are precisely as laid out on my hand held controller, so no new menus to learn. I also love the direct link to Wikipedia to discover more about any artist. Best compliment was that we enjoyed a superb New Years Eve using music selected and played by my daughter and her friends using the Squeezepad app, and everyone got their requests played within seconds. At some point I searched around the AppStore for ways to control my Squeezeboxes and get a software player on my iPad, but somehow never stumbled on SqueezePad. Thankfully that drought ended last week :-) . I was a bit leery about shelling out $10 - and then again $5 in-app, but HOLY MOLY this thing rocks!
