✓ Does not work!SpeechMaker will not load .txt nor .HTML files thru iTunes! Seems there is no way to get help from developer -- his tech support section does not even list SpeechMaker!! Cheap, but not even worth the two bucks!!.Version: 1.2
✓ Beware - Dropbox doesn’t workI bought this app because it claims to be Dropbox compatible. BUT...When trying to import a speech from Dropbox you’ll receive the error “This app is in development mode and can’t accept more users. Contact the app developer and ask them to use the Dropbox API App Console to apply for production status.”.Version: 2.5
✓ Very very basicNo spell checker. No IOS auto correct - yes you have to remember to capitalize your "i's". Old school! It has such potential, but needs a lot more development time spent on it. It isn't worth the 99cents..Version: 1.2
✓ CrashesCrashes regularly ! Not great when making speeches! Unless the rtf file and PDF file are in the apps native font the files will display as gibberish when downloaded from Dropbox. When I eventually managed to download the PDF I created it was completely unformatted making it useless! Dev - please test properly before submission! ✓ Promising, but needs workThe menu interface is weak. The app is stuffed full of demo speeches which I find useless, but there seems to be no way to delete them except one by one, which would take hours! Please provide a way to delete the sample speeches, so I can conveniently find my own files. The timer functions in LIVE mode would be useful during a speech to stay on schedule. Unfortunately, they only seem to work with Siri. More troubling, I tried using Siri as a speech aid. I had used the highlight function to highlight verbs. As Siri read the speech, most highlighted verbs were deleted! I had to edit the document to replace the deleted verbs. How about some Customer Support, or at least a User Forum? Perhaps someone should test the software before offering it for sale! In the meantime, I will be eagerly awaiting fixes and improvements..Version: 3.8

I could't get a squeak out of it let alone a speech. ✓ Left BehindUsed to be an innovative app. Hasn't been updated since 2010. The whole point is to be able to track time as you speak. But that feature doesn't work because you can't adjust the time that you want to speech to take. Therefore time passed and time remaining are irrelevant. The app crashes anytime you try to change the default time, which is always 240. If they would fix this would still be a good app. Get Teleprompt+ instead.Version: 1.2

✓ Simply doesn’t work and tech support not answeringI love supporting app developers in the app store, but I expect to get what you say I am getting. And if I screw up, then tell me so, but that would mean you have to answer the tech/support email that I wrote. But wait, was going to ask you yet one more time before leaving this review, but your webpage says not to leave more than one email about a problem. Its doesn’t work as advertised, period. Can’t import from Dropbox because “error authorizing app: Only a limited set of users can receive access tokens while this app is in development mode.” and pdf imports from google just simply fail to render on the screen properly if at all. Fail. Sorry guys, but the only thing plumamazing about this app is that you got it reviewed in blogs that I regularly read, and NOW those bloggers are ALSO on notice. ✓ Access of PDF’sConcept of the app is good. File import needs a lot of work. Dropbox .....don’t use ......it’s full and Google docs which does not work for some reason. ✓ Needs workI can't log into DropBox, have no TTS and docs lose their highlight settings (does not get saved?) I cannot export audio recordings. Looks like a promising App but I need to be able to do the above things or it is a non starter. Would like to see more comprehensive play and pause settings. I want to be able to breathe, then start my speech again from where I left off not go back to the top. Numerical values next to sliders would be useful. ✓ DisappointedI think this has the makings of a good app for speakers wanting to digitise their speeches, however the app is very limited, cannot import word files which I think would be a big plus. ✓ Off to a disappointing startWas really excited about using this app. However, my first task was to import my speech through Dropbox and the app is consistently freezing on me and not allow me to import anything. It gave me the error "failed user name and password", which is fine, perhaps I mistyped it, but at this point the app is frozen and will no longer function. So I force quit the app and started it up again. When I go to import from Dropbox, it won't even allow me to re-enter my info because it's saved it in the system, so immediately that app says "failed user name and password" and is frozen again. Very disappointing. Would love to use the app if it actually worked..Version: 1.2

✓ Never got to the point where I could actually use this appFirst problem, it comes pre-loaded with what looks like at least 100 speeches from famous people that can only be deleted one at a time. I supposed if your goal is to just give other people’s speeches that might be fine, but doesn’t really seem practical. It would take forever to get these deleted and there’s really no point for someone who’s delivering their own speech to have all this cluttering up the app. Second there are only 3 ways I could find to get your own content into the app. Write it directly in the app, or import it from Dropbox or google docs. When I tried to import from google docs, it just plain threw and error and failed. When I tried to import from Dropbox, it gave an unsorted list of every possible file that could be imported from everything in my Dropbox (which is large) so I had to scroll through hundred of docs to try and find the pdf file I wanted. There was no directory structure imported nor a search feature to use to locate the file you want, just an unsorted list and after scrolling through the entire list, I’m pretty sure the one file I needed wasn’t there. Summary, with lots of useless data cluttering up the app and no good way to get your own stuff in it, major fail..Version: 3.8
