✓ Very high quality RDP clientFeature packed, pretty much everything worked out of the box. Unfortunately for 2X I am not using their server-side solution so I don't know anything about that side. It seems that turning off sound in local resources confuses the host into thinking it should disable sound altogether rather than leaving it on the server; that was the only thing I could think of that I didn't like compared to other RDP clients. "Far too smaller screen for rdp to prove useful"....You'd think that it was not worth bothering with as a result. However, this little app is quite simply brilliant. The mouse feature is fab! ✓ Works wellI am just starting the tests of function for what I want it to be able to do. Currently over the wireless the wireless network in office it works great. I couldn't expect more function out of an app made for a portable system. Test 2 will occur when I get my security VPN system running in the iPad2 through cisco any connect. ✓ Update NOT broken, just select "settings > keyboard > use IOS native keyboard" and it worksUpdate: the update is not broken, just select "use IOS native Keyboard" in settings and poof the controls come back. Major goof for this not to be default. This app is the fastest-to-connect of any I have tried AND the mouse emulation is the most usable interface I've seen. Many RDP clients seem to work the same, but right-click seems like some sort of insurmountable programming challenge. This apps touch-mouse implementation is highly responsive, deadly accurate, and best of all it's plainly visible--for several remote clients it's easy to lose the cursor, but not this one. For now the only downside of this app it's that it doesn't support the new iPad retina display resolution. The max resolution is 1280x1024. Better than a few of the other paid remote apps I have tried. The precise mouse feature in particular is so helpful and well-designed. A couple ideas for further enhancements: - Ability to connect to enhanced-security Win7 stations (if possible) - Ability to set a master passcode to open the app - Ability to create subdirectories to store connections in (this last one is really just a personal preference, as I store several connections to a few different physical locations, each with many PC's in them, and would be nice to be able to group them from each other separately) Anyways, this is truly a great app. I am recommending it to everyone I know who needs a solid RDP app for their iPad. ✓ Superb!!!We have been waiting for this app since we signed up with 2x. We have been using VDS for a while now and this is just perfect since everybody wants an iPad. The mouse concept, while strange at first is perfect, is a great idea. It works! So far (2 days) it has been working wonderfully. 2x states that some options with this clients will not be available until version 9 of their software comes out (very soon). I would like to know what they are. I am able to run Windows only applications on our Mac computers and now on the iPhone & iPad, this is great. Now, I just need to start deploying Virtual Desktops. Update: Still really like the app, but as an improvement, consider changing the mouse function. When you move the mouse thing to the far right of the page, the page shifts to the left. I especially like the mouse pointer feature which was lacking on other RDP apps, alleviating the need to zoom and pan to click onscreen buttons, etc. The ability to right-mouse click makes using GUI only apps a breeze. The onscreen keyboard is easy to use including functions. It does have one (minor) shortcoming such as an inability to copy and paste between iPad and RDP session. ✓ Working great UPDATEI couldn't get the sound to redirect but after playing with the setting and reinstalling the app, I got it working. Not sure what the problem was but it's working perfectly now, the RDP part anyway. This is a great app and it does everything so I can control my home computer from my iPad 2, while in another room or from a wifi hotspot such as Starbucks. I just had to set up a 2nd connection with my routers ip address just like with the Windows Remote Desktop program that I use to connect my home pc to my office pc in another state. With this app, I can connect to both my home pc and office pc while on the road, all from my iPad 2. Thanks for an app that finally does almost everything I need. Well I spoke too soon, still a great app but sound redirection does not work from outside network. If I'm at home connected to my desktop pc, all is perfect. But if I go to Starbucks or any other wifi hotspot, sound redirection does not work. Now I'm really disappointed. When I had it working at home I assumed it would work from an outside network too. ✓ Ok just Wowed by this free app!I was trying out a bunch of free rdp apps that didn't require anything installed on the remote computer to no avail, when I saw 2x client and didn't think anything of it. The app info page on iTunes didn't say much, but I saw the reviews and I thought I'd give it a try. I was very pleasantly surprised! It has mouse functionality and most short cuts. Strangely can't do shift home or end to select all, but that's minor. Can add multiple connections (unlike the free version of PocketCloud). Full screen mode a blessing for older eyes. Free. ✓ My favourite RDP clientHaving tried numerous iOS RDP clients, 2x is the one I keep coming back to for sheer performance, ease of use and reliability. Whilst others have reported issues, it's never let me down and has always been rock solid on my iPad2 controlling a number of Windows machines running everything from XP Pro to Win8 to Windows Svr2008r2 and even a bit of WHS, both versions. ✓ Fab and fast RDP clientI've tried a number of different RDP clients and the 2X Client is by far the best I've come across to date. I use it to connect to my Windows box at work. It's really easy to setup and use, and quick to connect. I haven't experienced any of the issues that some other reviewers have reported after the last update, so I can't comment on those - it's been 100% reliable for me. There has been the occasional lag every now and then but I think that's down to my connection speed at the time, rather than the app. I really like the mouse controller and integrated keyboard/right click access. The configurable gestures work well, but sometimes mean that when you swipe the screen positioning moves too. It would be great if this could be improved on a future update but it's a minor bugbear on an otherwise excellent app. I'd happily pay for this. Keep up the good work!.Version: 10.1.1256

✓ Love it -wish there was a login to allow for set up to carry to multiple devicesI absolutely love this app.. I've used and have pocket cloud and log me ignition.. I still like 2x better than all of the above. The only thing I wish it would do is allow for a one time setup. I am constantly logging into multiple different servers on separate devices .. Ipad, Iphone, droid tablet, Samsung device, etc... I have to set it up on each device separately with all the ip's.. logins.. passwords... add to that the purchase of new devices and it gets cumbersome.. Developers please make a sign in screen option to carry all settings and setup across with the login.. That would make this app absolutely the best app ever!! At least for me :) pretty please.. ✓ Enterprise delivery and freeI run 4 Terminal Servers with 5 years experience of Remote Desktops. Until 2X came along, RDP via iPhone and iPad was cumbersome and difficult. 2X though allows the user a complete desktop experience with a nifty method of right-click. I don't work for the company and I haven't been paid to write this. However if you have an iPad *and* a PC, you need this - it's incredible. You may need to read up on port forwarding to e sure your device actually connects to your PC - and you must have a password set on your PC (xp) else RDP won't deliver. ✓ Great RDPI tried a couple of the other "free" versions to try out, where you could then get their "pro" version if you like it. I could get none of them to work on my network. This was the first RDP client that I got to work and in less than 2 minutes! I also use CITRIX. I like that client because it seems to use the New iPad's screen resolution. ✓ Very goodThis is the best app I've tried for RDP. Latest version even supports sound from Win7. However some features of the previous version seem to have been removed, namely: function key keyboard; ability to size the Windows session screen to any size you want. On the iPad 2 resizing seems to always snap to full screen, meaning you loose the top or bottom of your Windows screen. So you have to move it up and down. ✓ In network lifesaverThis app is fantastic for accessing my PC wile in my home network. I am still having trouble getting through my router and into PC when I am outside of the LAN however. Aside from my own snag, as I am sure it is a router and IP configuration issue, I have very few complaints. I use this app to access flash presentations and lectures for online courses as well as to work on Microsoft based programs such as Office and Visual Studio. This is an excellent way to make all of your PC programs and functionality available on the IP. If you can figure out how to remote in from out side of your local network the possibilities are almost endless. The only thing that is keeping this from being a 5 star review the windows keyboard functions. There are quite a few options for shift and F keys but some are still missing. The main missing feature is print screen, there is no key and I would love to see that feature added..Version: 10.1.1204
