✓ BuggyHave always loved this game but the latest update seems to have problems loading and keeps freezing on startup and randomly during the game sometimes resulting in it restarting the game. Very frustrating!.Version: 2.02
✓ Terrible partner and ads make app crashI love spades but had to stop playing on my morning commute because I would get ticked off before I got to my office. In the real world if you'd play like Megan you would permanently banned from the table! And the ads are the worst because they randomly pop up and crash mid game, when it seems like I'm about to win. Sighs, but other spades games seem to have the same issues, so it's whatever I guess..Version: 1.50

✓ Megan's a moronThe game could be better if Megan didn't overbid her hand, throw out/ waste high cards and cause the loss of books, waste spades on books that her partner would clearly win and so many more examples. It's like she's drunk and playing by herself. It'd be better if you could chose to play partners or alone. Today I had a hand with A, K,Q, 9, 7, 6, 4 and 3 of spades, Ace and king of hearts, ace of clubs and two diamond cards. I bid 8 knowing that Megan may overbid but this time she bid 7!!!.Version: 2.08
✓ Frustrated!!Downloaded the free app and really enjoyed playing. Problem though was that there were too many ads that kept popping up and taking me to the App Store without me selecting them. I would have to get out of my game and reload each time. That was frustrating so I upgraded to the paid version to eliminate the ads. Now when I choose to play blind null it does not let me pass two cards to my partner. Also my partner does not play as well as she did in the free app. She doesn't cover me when I am playing null. Feel like I waisted my money with the upgrade! What could have been a fun game has too many flaws! Wish they would fix it!!.Version: 1.50
✓ Me against everyoneThe game is pretty simple / no big flashing lights or bells and whistles. That is what I like about the game what I do not like is that my partner (Megan) constantly makes bad plays, routinely over bids her tricks, and will often play cards against what I am playing. The algorithms for how she chooses cards needs to be adjusted. The opposing team play off each other very well. I lose quite a bit because of Megan bidding 4 or 5 tricks and not even winning a single one..Version: 2.02
✓ Wow at tha ads!After reading several of the reviews, thought I’d download and see what they were complaining about. Lol I thought it was hilarious, there’s a EULA (which I thought was funny too) and before you can tap to agree with it, the ads jump in and interrupts the EULA signing process. I got my laughs and deleted the game. I’ve played greedy games before but this is the first one that tried to push ads on me before I even got to the game hahahahaha! ✓ Used to be the bestHands down this is the BEST spades game out there. Whoever programs it has done a great job with the moves and strategy other team members would make. However: I get that a free app has to allow ads to keep going. But recently, the game changed to these LONG video ads that take forever. And if you accidentally close the app or toggle away and come back you have to go through them again. It used to go right back to the game if you hadn’t left for too long. It’s become so infuriating I think I’m just going to bail. Too bad, amazing game otherwise..Version: 2.10
✓ Spades current version Megan is still deplorable thanks to whomever programs the game.The programming of Megan's play is very poor and suggests an acute lack of game knowledge. I don't know why I continue to play and hope to radically curtail or abstain from playing the game altogether. Sincerely, Bud The person or persons programming Megan need help with their job performance and learn the basics of the game. There is no rhyme or reason for the way Megan drops a card. ✓ Good but boringIf your new to this game it's good. However after a while it gets really really BORING . On the hard setting, almost the same cards every hand - three or four of each suit - very rarely aces and kings - not random dealing which is disappointing. Also as with some other feedback left - your partner sometimes screws you - takes tricks unnecessarily so you end up falling short of your "team" trick count. Computer is often dealt zero cards in one or more suits. Cheat. I'm gonna find another one. It's a shame as the actual gameplay is easy and logical..Version: 1.50

✓ A trumping partnerThe partner they have assigned you for spades is stupid she constantly over bids, under bids, plays the king before she has seen the ace in that suit, trumps my kings and aces and has no idea how to cover a nil bidding partner!! ✓ Was great until the last updateI have been using this app as well as many other Optime apps for years and they have always been great until the recent introduction of ads. I understand the need for the funding the ads generate and would be perfectly fine with it, but the ads do not work correctly. The ads do not appear on screen, but pop up in the background in the middle of a game and I can hear them while I am playing the game. When this happens, the app slows down to a crawl and eventually just crashes and loses the game progress. It just seems they tried to push out the new version with ads before they had worked out all the bugs. I just tried to play 3 different games and never got past 250 points because the game would crash and when I reopened the app, my progress was gone and I had to start a new game. Before the ads were introduced it was a great, 5 star app, but now it has dropped down to 1 star since I can’t even finish a game without it crashing. I thought about upgrading to add free, but I read other reviews saying there are issues with that version too. There are too many options for spades games on the App Store to have to deal with these types of issues so I guess I will be on the lookout for a new spades app..Version: 1.66

✓ Fun but buggyI enjoy playing this game, but the other players sometimes do inexplicable things. Most recently, I’ve noticed that another player will sometimes play an ace for no reason. For example, I led with an ace of clubs, but my partner played the ace of diamonds. She had not bid nil, so she was just throwing her ace away. My opponents have often done this too. I’ve tried to let the game developers know about this bug, but their website is blank or returns an error message. I think this weird behavior started when I began using the Hard level, so I’m going to go back to Medium and see if it occurs there..Version: 1.66

✓ Program flawsSeveral things need to be fixed to make this more fun. If you bid zero your partner should help. This does not happen consistently through the play of the hand. Also nearing the end of the game partner is not clever about tricks needed to pass 500 without going over 10 bags. This happens both in bidding and playing. I only play at the hard level and my partner constantly makes mistakes in judgement. Otherwise game would be lots of fun. For now I play it anyway..Version: 1.60

It’s one thing that your opponents obviously know your cards based on how they play but Megan is the worst player ever. Unrealistically, poor decisions and irrational plays. Why trump with the Ace of Spades if you are the last to play and have several other spades? Why trump your partner if they are gonna win the trick and you have plenty of other options! ✓ New version Nov 2020This updated version just came out with new colors, etc. However, I can only play one game before the screen totally freezes up. It will allow me to view the ad at the screen bottom but will not let me go into a new game. The only option is to totally delete the ap, go to Ap store, and download again. Once I do that the cycle starts again and I can only play one game and it freezes again. This is on an iPhone with latest iOS downloaded. ✓ Grampa1960I understand this is a “FREE” game but: Playing on “HARD” in no challenge at all. The only challenge is your partner “Megan” is an idiot. You have to compensate for her inept playing instead of trying to outplay the opponents. One hand she will bid (3) while holding the top four spades and a couple of aces. We usually go backwards on “bags” a couple times per game. Later she bids (5) and can’t pull one trick. I see that when I pick up and throw same suit and my partner comes out with a higher card that could have been played before to save me. ✓ So SoI think its one of the better free spades apps. Only it’s got some flaws. I was just playing and bid 0 books. First hand, my partner throws out the lowest diamond possible. This of course allows the other players to throw low as well. I end up taking the book because of this. The very next hand my partner throws the Ace of diamonds! This happens quite often. ✓ The worst spades you can downloadYour partner is a complete idiot, if you call nil or Blind she will work against you. The only reason you will lose even on hard mode is because of your partner. So this isn’t really a game of skill is a game of frustration of a really crappy partner doing really stupid things costing you the game. I’ve had it for years and it is one of my favorites, however the past months they have drastically changed they’re ads. I simply refuse to play a game that makes me watch and interact with a 30 second ad after every single hand of catds(which is only 30-60 seconds to play). ✓ Angry that scoring is unfair!Inept player Meagan is a minor problem...(Is she the red team's sister?) The scoring is so biased and fraudulent! Bid 3 make 2, and you might lose 30 Pt's one time; lose 40 points another time; and then lose 60 points another time! Anytime the "Blue" Team is winning, the "Red" Team gets extra points, and the "Blue" Team gets a "Penalty" and the "Red" Team gets an extra bonus! As an educator (principal and teacher) for over 30 years - I find this cheating is deplorable! I love a good challenge - but I want the activity to be fair! ✓ Poorly written program.First off no serious players play the 0 bid game plus the 10 extra wins costing 100 points in penalties when those extra points are meaningless in a 500 point game. In addition, when the opposition bids 0, my partner will often throw away bid winning cards in an effort to stop the 0 point bidder often times costing us to be set. Finally, nobody leads the ace of spades before finding out if you can get a cross trump going with your partner. Again, often it just costs your partner the loss of a trump card they may be relying on..Version: 2.02

Eg I bid 0, they can win the trick to stop me winning and avoid a 100pt penalty but they let it go! ✓ A great game gone badI used to enjoy this app, and would have happily given it a 5. Unfortunately, it now is at times impossible to play. I’ve lived with the ads when you first open the app, but now they frequently cannot be removed. I have to close the whole thing out and try again—sometimes multiple times—before I am given something that lets me shut down the ad. And, once the game is started, the pop-up ads take up 1/3 of the page and have a tendency to flash, which is a problem for people with certain medical conditions. ✓ Oh dear....It used to be a great game but no longer. I agree an update was needed however making Megan stupid was not a good idea. I'd like to play the game with someone(?) who at least understands how the game is played and uses a tactical approach - like before. It is too frustrating now to be enjoyable.
