✓ Forever GrindA thrilling and exhilarating racer... that is, once you've unlocked the second car model which takes hours of grinding with a slow car that handles like a barge. Even if you buy credits you still need to become adept at the game (and hope you don't get dealt broken tracks) to use them effectively. Holding the fun to ransom seems like a very odd design decision..Version: 1.03
✓ Good, but...I actually really like this game but have to give it a bad rating on principle, after spending quite a few credits (which I paid extra for) to enter the challenge expecting to win 50 back by finishing in the top 500, only for it to change to the top 100 after the thing had ended. I finished in the 200s so i didn't win anything back! That's a bit cheeky....Version: 1.20

✓ Colourful graphics but so-so gameplayHad high hopes for this when I downloaded it for the holiday season, but soon tired of it. The tracks are colourful (neon everything!) but after a few laps you realise that it's just a case of steering round one track after another (all of which are very similar) and overtaking (not colliding with) opponents. While you can edit your own tracks, the variety is still very limited and you find yourself driving round an all too familiar track doing the same old thing. There are power-ups available (either to buy as an in-app purchase or by earning them the hard way), but the truth is they don't make an awful lot of difference to the gameplay. Overall it's moderately interesting for the first few laps but ultimately unrewarding as it gets repetitive very quickly and the items you do unlock (either by playing or by paying for in-app purchases), don't seem to make an awful lot of difference. ✓ Needs a few tweaksGood game, it's good to play other people's tracks and having 3 free one you can create is nice, would be really great if you could delete the ones u have created tho. On another side, clicking on the store doesn't actually load anything, that's on an iPhone 3GS with the IOS5 software, so your losing money on that one. And having the level ups so far between and long to get to means, makes you feel that you are edging people to spend money just to level up quicker or to level up at all, the trick you people need to get right is making the customer feel it's their choice that they are buying the credits or items, not having to buy them to get anywhere on the game for a price and a decent speed.Version: 1.03

The time gate placement needs to be fixed so that it isn't placed so far off in the distance that there's no way you're going to get to it in time. There should also be a way to get free credits; like a page where there are tons of ads that you can view that will give you credits. That way those of us who are broke can play and get far and you guys still get payed for your hard work..Version: 1.03

✓ The Freemium model kills any fun this game has.A FLAT FEE FOR A PERMANENT x5 UNLOCK WOULD BE GREAT. I really wanted to like this. The game has potential to be fun, but watching your experience bar hobble its way a microscopic fraction at the end of a race is a constant reminder that you'll be paying for a lot of 10x experience "credits" to really unlock anything with a reasonable amount of play. There's no sense of accomplishment or victory. I can't tell you how awesome it was to waste one of the three free credits I had on a ridiculously designed track filled with glitchy hairpin turns that I couldn't see because some idiot covered the entire track with buildings. BUILDINGS. ON THE TRACK. If that had been a credit I'd paid for, that would have been even worse. I'd have totally paid a flat $4.99 for this game with a reasonable unlock system. I don't plan on spending $25+ on "credits" to play a poorly crowd-sourced racer, no matter how pretty it is. This game could have been awesome. What a way to totally screw it up. ✓ ImprovingI wrote a scathing review of this and incredibly the game got an update which really improved it. I think this could easily be one of the best apps out there, but it still needs some tweaks. It needs an introduction for new players explaining how combos increase your speed so it's better to brake on corners than not. Also, it takes a long time to unlock cars, so more models would help, also if they were substantially different. I want a high grip low acceleration car, but they're virtually identical. How about a motorbike? Also you need to lower the camera like a couple of degrees, otherwise sharp turns at a come of like 30-40 are just impossible. ✓ Concept is fun, but the controls kill itI would give this game 5 stars but the controls make it almost impossible to play for me. The two slivers on both sides you use to move the car are so small it makes playing the game so frustrating for me. Every time I try to turn I'm focusing mainly on making sure My fingers hit the right spot. If those turn spots were just a little bit bigger so my thumb could hit it naturally then I'm sure this game would be great. ✓ Good idea and it looks lovely......but in practice it doesn't quite work. Too many bad user tracks, where combos are all but impossible. Collision detection between cars seems a little dodgy as well- no squeezing past here. Ultimately a joyless grind unless you pay got credits... but who's going to want to keep paying to play on tracks where a decent percentage are fundamentally broken game-design wise. ✓ Great concept, needs improvingI played this game quite a bit and found it really addictive, especially when you start getting on a roll. However the lack of over site on user built tracks ruins the experience after a bit. Some people obviously think tracks that are completely obscured or so bendy they are nearly impossible (or even actually broken) is good level design. If you rate a track down, you won't see it again. Unfortunately this doesn't help for tracks that are broken, cause you to get stuck and then the game to crash. Naturally when you start the game back up, it usually starts on the same track that caused you to crash. The slight work around is reporting the track, but it's a bit tedious and takes you out of the game experience. It would be better to put the voting system in the pause menu, allowing players to vote down and immediately skip bad tracks. Other issues are that you can't vote tracks up or down when using certain cars for some reason and that all the cars are so similar. I do really like this game, but I've moved on to other games while I wait for a update that fixes the track issues..Version: 1.11

✓ Simple fun gameplay - needs to address "broken" tracks problemI like games you can pick up an play quickly which have that "just one more go" appeal and this has that. But - it is very dependent on user generated tracks and unfortunately there are too many people creating tracks which are "broken" by folding back on themselves which stop your car and crash the app. This should be easy to address by the developers fixing this editing part or auditing tracks when submitted. It's also frustrating how many people seem to enjoy creating tracks where the view is blocked by scenery, making it impossible to drive with any skill, and becoming blind luck instead. There is an option to report such tracks but it involves quitting the app to sen an email. Lastly, the option to like/dislike a track isn't available for long after completing it and it doesn't seem possible to correct a vote if you caught the wrong option. Oh and if you don't have a net connection, you keep getting the same few tracks which is ok as long as the cached tracks are good ones but can be a pain if the track that keeps coming up is a broken one.Version: 1.11

✓ So soThe graphics are very nice! But you can see that from the screen shots. The timed tracks are a cool idea too. Unfortunately, the 10x XP mode cannot be earned. This mode lets you level up faster. You get three credits to begin with. And once these are gone, more can be purchased only via IAP. The 1XP and 10XP mode selection is confusing. So are the in-game stars and glowing strips around curves. What do these do? No tutorial or explanation. Most of the game is confusing. That includes the car-selection menus. Also, there are only two-button and tilt control mechanisms. It would be nice to have a joystick like Death Rally. I've only played on iPhone. So maybe these controls are better on iPad. Overall, I just don't see this game sticking around on the top charts. I would suggest making it a paid game and earning 10XP mode. Maybe after getting a "Perfect" grade 10XP is awarded. Or incorporate a bonus minigame like Jetpack Joyride to earn 10XP..Version: 1.02

✓ It's OK but....It's a lovely looking game, sounds great on paper, looks awesome, but is hampered by occasional crashes, lack of info, clumsy control systems (The default arcade one seems best, but even then, it's right on the edge of the screens). The other thing that really annoys me is that 90% of the game seems geared at IAP. You CAN play the game without needing to make a purchase, but you can only create 3 tracks, & that's it. You can only use the x10 multiplier 3 times and that's it. - If there was a chance of earning more tracks, or credits, that would be OK. However, as it is, it's just too restricted. I'd sooner buy the game for £0.69 with everything more open, than this. - Considering that Supermono are relying on users to develop the game more with their tracks, just restricting people to 3 is not a very clever move at all!! IAP can be a good strategy if balanced. This isn't, and people will soon tire of the game if all they're doing is going around the same old tracks with no real incentive to create more,.Version: 1.02

✓ Well....The game itself is fantastic, fun to play, constantly trying to get highscores. The controls are a bit dodgy but they are changable. Here is the main problem that has caused me to deduct two stars. Letting us create our own tracks is great and makes the game good, but there are players who just create stupid tracks that are endless chicanes. I have driven tracks today that go through a giant pyramid so you cant see where your driving, (very annoying if you have a large combo) and a track that is a very hilly road with numerous chicane that is impossible to navigate without crashing or running out of time. ✓ Beautiful game, but...The game is gorgeous, but I find the controls overly fiddly with just-a-bit-too-small buttons and the difficulty to be inconsistent. Many tracks have clipping issues in the corners, or scenery blocking or embedded in the track. Not knowing whether or not you're going to get one of these bum tracks makes it hard to push the credit button only to be stymied by controls or crummy track selection. The thumbs up/down after the track seems to be completely cosmetic and superfluous, as many tracks I've downrated have shown up on multiple subsequent runs. I also find the levelling to be ridiculously long & unrewarding, like a first-generation MMO, but I suspect that's just to incentivize the credits even more..Version: 1.03

Happens too often and when you reload the game too often it puts you on the same bad track again. With thousands of user made tracks you would think you only play unique tracks each game. Also tracks obscured by buildings are far too frequent. Could be amazing but sadly it isn't. Hopefully they will fix this in future updates.
