✓ Be waryThe app may be great but having spend 90 pounds on the iPad 2 tuner not been able to tune in a single channel. Says no signal detected. I have yet to hear from anyone in uk that has been able to tune in channels due to poor reception....anyone able to prove me wrong?.Version: 1.0.0
✓ MissI think this is an absolute waste of time, might of as well got a TV! No user guide with the product, it's all in German, no help on the Internet or the company website. When I installed the app I was able to watch TV but can't record anything on it, that was the whole point why I got it..I can watch live TV on the Internet if I was desperate! The recording issue is giving me some grief, so if any one knows how to record, please let me know! I can't even return it as I received it as a present, and I've opening the packaging etc..Version: 1.0.0
✓ TV app and Eye TV mobileWhile the app may be ok (haven't had a chance to test it fully before giving up), the hardware is simply not up to the task. Unless you were prepared to carry a house antenna everywhere you go the antenna's provided will simply not take you anywhere. I am located in what is defined as high signal strength area, but I got next to nothing as an output. My EyeTv is going back tomorrow. I might try some network streaming tuners instead I can locate that kind of tuner in some sort of location where I have access to peer and antenna signal. My suggestion is don't buy the hardware unless you have easy access to your home antenna and you are prepared to have nice heavy coax from the wall to your device when watching the TV..Version: 1.1.5

✓ Don't waste your moneyThis review is more about the Elgato Mobile hardware rather than this application but as the two go hand in hand and one can't work without the other, I'll proceed. In a word: don't waste your money. I was really suspicious when I saw the size of the two aerials and it turns out I was right to be. I have tried setting up the device in two completely different locations, about 20 miles apart. I have tried indoors and outdoors, upstairs and downstairs, near to windows and not, etc. It makes no difference; the device has never been able to find so much as one channel. The device is being returned for a refund and this application will be removed from my iPad..Version: 1.1.3

✓ Didn't work but possibly not elgato's fault. ?..I was dubious about the ability to get reception , and my doubts were right. plugged it in, no signal . tried charging it up (i assume it needs charging , theres nothing to indicate it needs it except for the fact theres a light on it that goes red or green based on charge)..nothing in the "start guide" which is very basic. after a while neither my iPad or iPhone even recognised it was plugged in. if you live with a transmitter within view, it might be ok for now, based on where i live and want to use it , its useless . luckily i can return it and get a refund..Version: 1.1.3
✓ Still waiting for an update to this app. In no longer worksSince IOS 11 this app doesn’t work. This means that the EyeTV Mobile dongle does nothing. I contacted their support department and was told they were working on an update. That was around 2 months ago!! They continue to sell the EyeTV dongles to people but still no update. ✓ Do not buy this product!!!As others have said, this used to be a great product, but the people selling it have not updated the app since 2015 as seen here in the App Store. If you have any recent iOS installed, the the eyetv is no longer detected, so can’t work. It is a shame. Planned to watch the football on my iPad, and Wimbledon on my iPhone 7 Plus, iOS 11.4.1, only to find out it no longer works on either. Looks like they are not working to fix the problems. ✓ IncompleteThis app works well with picture quality for me but i live and work in london which explains why. there is plenty missing though for example if i want to record a program i cant set it automatically, i have to be with the ipad to start and stop recordings if im not it will just continue to record. secondly i would have liked for there to have been some sort of reminder option in the guide, as theres not you have to go into your calendar and set up an alert. still plenty to sort out as far as im concerned..Version: 1.1.6
