✓ Marker Bug, but Great Game!I've been playing this game off and on for years. I would give this game an easy 5 stars; however, since I downloaded this most recent update on my iPad 2, I am not able to open the marker tab on the menu. Restarting the app and device doesn't fix it. I would like to switch between markers like the stealth marker, but I simply can't anymore. Other than that, I would love to see Jukebeat eventually contain the features in Jubeat Plus like Challenge Mode and Hold Marker charts. I love this game. I have gotten over 50 EXC's, but this marker tab bug is super annoying. I know updates have halted, but please fix this..Version: 3.6.4

✓ My favorite rhythm game next to reflex beat!I’ve been playing this game since 2017 and just recently played the arcade version I LOVE IT!! Even upgrading my iPad and restoring my purchases was easy. 5 starts 10/10 rating 100% HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! I get the fact that your paying about3-4 dollars for 4 songs. The game is free. You have to actually buy the arcade version. And it is a Japanese exclusive. Plus it costs more to pay for an actual arcade cabinet version than just buying all the song packs! You might be wasting $300 on song packs but if you factor in the cost of an actual arcade version of the game it’s WELL worth it!.Version: 3.6.4

✓ Awesome!!This game is fantastic. It's a lot of fun to play and you get used to the basics of it quickly, advanced can be challenging and fun before you take on the more extreme songs. The song packs are worth it, would prefer them a little cheaper, but they make the game expandable. You get the engine with three songs to try out for free, and they are good to get you going, but soon you'll want to try more. The song packs are in app purchases. I hope that Konami keep releasing song packs to keep the fun coming, even selling ones from the Japanese market straight onto the western version would be good. It is one of the best rhythm games I've played, and my only problem with it (and the reason it's 4 stars and not 5) is how much the song packs cost. The songs themselves aren't the full version - understandable - but $5 for a 4 song pack adds up pretty quick. ✓ ExcellentJubeat's finally released in the west, and on iPad it feels almost as natural as it does in the arcade. To those who haven't seen it before, it's basically musical whack-a-mole: squares will light up in varying patterns, and you tap the lights in time to the music. On a 4x4 grid the patterns are virtually endless, and can be anything from simply working across a row or column, to alternating corners, to 5 or 6 squares at a time that you need both hands to hit. There's something intrinsically fun about tapping lights to a beat, and you get a real sense of satisfaction when you manage to contort your hands to finally hit the one section that's been eluding you. The game does, admittedly, get quite difficult rather quickly, but the transition from 'this is too easy' to 'this is way too hard' is something that'll be smoothed out as more and more song packs are released. The current song packs are all high quality, although, as has been mentioned, more Konami originals in the future would go down well, as would the revival of some of the songs from the original Ubeat test (Scatman, Barbie Girl, Informer and Set U Free would make an awesome pack!) Basically, if you like rhythm games, you NEED this. If you don't, give it a go anyway, there's no better demonstration as to how fun they can be!.Version: 2.5.0

✓ Awesome!!I love this game! I actually first got introduced to it by a friend who let me play it on his ipad, and the game actually influenced my decision to get one myself. It's not the only reason, but it definitely sweetened the deal. I was also already a really big fan of rhythm games, and it's exciting to get a localized version of one that I can play at home! The game itself can be pretty difficult, but after a bit of practice it gets a lot more fun. There are plenty of songs withh easier difficulties that you can use to warm up and improve your skills. It's also nice to see konami song packs with songs from other well known games (there are at least one or two DDR songs that I recognize). The music is addicting! ✓ My favourite iOS game!Being a long term fan of Beatmania and other music games in the series, this game was one of the deciding factors for me to invest in an iPad. Happily, I have not been disappointed. Jukebeat, or Jubeat, is a game where you have to tap markers on a 4x4 grid in time to the music. It sounds simple, and it is, but that is what makes it so appealing. Unlike learning the complicated peripherals for games like Beatmania, DDR or Guitar Hero, Jukebeat is much more simple and accessible to get into. Even my mother was able to clear a song on her first attempt! The song packs so far have included original songs from Konami, as well as song packs from the likes of Lady Gaga, TLC, Toto and Duran Duran. Konami have been pretty good with releasing new song packs regularly and will hopefully continue to do so in the future. Would love to see some more skins and extra song packs from newer versions of Jubeat in the arcade. For anyone who needs more songs than what is available in this game, check out the Japanese version called Jubeat Plus from the Japanese app store..Version: 2.8.0

Only complaints is the slow release of Konami originals, the fact that redownloading purchases on a new device is a bit confusing (no signs that you can) and the apps ticker links to an unofficial Facebook page that tells you how to hack the game and get all the DLC free. ✓ Hilarious Japanese music square bashing!This is a conversion of the Japanese "Jubeat" arcade game, and it's what you and your iPad have been crying out for. All you have to do is tap squares on a 4x4 grid, as they light up, in time to music. You'll soon find out that this is more difficult than it sounds, as the speed and dexterity required quickly ramps up! The game comes with three free songs, and you can buy more from the in-app store. You'll want to do this as unless you're seriously into your J-pop you won't have heard of any of the free songs. Make sure you're sitting down now as I tell you that the song packs (containing four songs each) are £2.49 a throw. Just buy one. It will not kill you. The Lady Ga-Ga one is good. Stop moaning: you'll happily spend twice that on a Starbucks. Konami! Hi! I have written you a nice review because I love your game. Please can we have the Orpheus track in a song pack? ✓ Hurrah! We finally have jubeat!Jukebeat is probably my favourite music game on iOS right now. It's essentially a Western localization of the game "jubeat plus" on the Japanese iTunes store, plays exactly the same but with a modified song list. The game is bundled with 3 free songs, all of which are nostalgia-inducing remixes of music from classic KONAMI arcade games. It's true (as some have already pointed out) that this game has quite a sharp difficulty curve which may deter beginners from wanting to master the gameplay, but it also means the game has a long lifespan as you replay songs over and over to try and get those precious extra points for the next grade. So why buy this game if you already have jubeat plus? Well, firstly it's in English, but best of all it's much simpler for us Westerners to buy additional song-packs - before this involved trying to order an overpriced iTunes gift card from a third party retailer, but now it's as simple as clicking 'buy'. I really hope KONAMI keep this localization alive and continue to regularly release song packs much like its Japanese counterpart - they have a repertoire of 1000s of songs so I don't see why it can't happen! :).Version: 2.5.0

✓ Addiction and friends agree!First and far most for those who are complaining that the song packs are too expensive, just keep in mind that downloadable content on the Dj hero games for the consoles were $7.99 for 3 songs, and the Japanese version of jukebeat is $4.99 for 4 songs, (imagine buying a japanese iTunes card, how expensive that is.) and that version has well over 100 songs! The game is great, I'm really happy to have a local version of this game! I understand the game is new here and there isn't many song packs so I'm not going to complain at the lack of songs, hopefully we will get to play song great. American licensed songs that were on the N.A licensed arcade jubeat! I also really hope you keep the diversity of the music selection like jubeat plus, that's what made the game awesome For the past few weeks I have gone to anime gatherings and "publicized" the game and for the first time I've had a lot of friends and people I don't know give great feedback of jukebeat, I had comments like "it's hard, but fun!" a few of them who had the their idevices downloaded jukebeat on the spot. So that is a great sign of a great game! The reason why I gave 4 out of 5 stars is because of the lack of songs, compared to jubeat plus which has 151+ songs, which I know this app just came out here, but there are a lot of great "konami packs" that can be ported on this version from the Japanese jubeat plus! What are you guys waiting for? Also for those new to the game and think the markers are too fast... Try using different markers! (just a little guide for better gameplay, my treat XD!) ✓ Needs more songs!Jubeat is awesome. We have a machine here in Vancouver, BUT the complete lack of multiplayer and Konami card unlock leaves us with very limited selection of songs. It is INSANELY GREAT to see Konami finally bringing this game to North American market -- although under a different name... Whatever happened to Ubeat? I bought the Japanese version and have easily dropped $150 (them card sellers are making a killing!) on songs. I can't wait for more songs to appear here so I don't need to jump hurdles. Hope to see the songs from test launch to appear on here soon, or have actual launch for us North Americans! ✓ JukebeatSo glad that the western market can now get a chance to play this amazing game on their iPhones and iPads! I was addicted to the arcade version while I was in Japan and I'm glad that I can still get my fix now that I'm back in the UK. The difficulty curve does seem daunting at first if you're not used to it, but that does mean that you want to replay it over and over again trying to improve your score so jukebeat has a very long lifespan compared to many other game apps. I've bought the music pack including concon, one of my faces from Japan but I'd love some more of the Japanese songs to be brought over - especially sigsig (available already for the Japanese app) and Jump Pump, one of the most addicting from the arcade version.
