✓ Five stars until updateI absolutely adored this app until most recent update. Now my score doesn't always appear, it crashes and closes on its own accord and just doesn't have the stability that used to have. It's been a great companion for this insomniac. ✓ Addictive!This is an excellent game once you turn the voice off. It's very addictive. Shame it doesn't use the same dictionary as Scrabble. Hence only 4 stars. I know lots of words that it won't allow. That said, it's good fun and works well. Having gone up to the hard level the limited dictionary is now a real frustration and is diminishing my pleasure. Hence the lowering rating. Please expand the dictionaries. Add Collins..Version: 3.0
✓ Ms. ClarkeI am rating this a 3 because it seems that Mr. word can use words that when others use them are not allowed. Also his calculations for his score is different than others; example would be making a simple word by adding one letter, I wouldn't always get both words and also don't receive if it is a double or triple letter but Mr Word always gets whatever is under each letter. I like the game, but BOTH sides need to be more equal. Thank u!.Version: 2.0
✓ NO INSTRUCTIONSHow do you play this game? I can't find out how to play the game. The link for support goes to an unrelated web page. It is not scrabble so ho to play is a mystery to me. Would it be asking too much for a built in help file. This is total waste of my money.Version: 2.1

✓ Almost greatI turned off the obnoxious voice - who wants to be heckled and abused while trying to relax? And why is it a female voice when I am playing MR. Word? The app lost one star for not tallying the words for me before I play them, and one star for not recognizing words that are clearly words - like "fewer". This app is recognizing fewer and fewer legitimate words. There, I just used it in a sentence..Version: 3.0

✓ App needs help, unpredictablePlease fix this paid app. Problem 1: App often ends my turn before I am finished. At first, I thought I was accidentally brushing my hand over "done". (Why is this in bottom right corner, anyway? Either bottom corner is easy to brush against.) BUT more recently, the app has ended my turn when my hand/finger was nowhere near "done". Problem 2: Other times, I actually do press "done" but the entire app closes. Problem 3: Most of time, both scores do not show. Problem 4: Then there are occasional suspect "words" (that are really prefixes, not even stand alone words in any English dictionary) played by Mr Word. That's a sampling of the problems with this app..Version: 3.0

✓ FunApp still doesn't know common English words, so feels foreign. So there are worldwide weird plant names--but words in common usage in English are not acceptable. Constant crashing with Maverick and El Capitain. App crashes every time I play. I put my first word in and boom! I have to start over. Also crashes at unexpected times..Version: 3.0
✓ Too frustratingI agree with others who have found this app a very pleasant challenge. Beating it at the top level was a rare reward. However, too rare. The foibles of using what seems to be exclusively an Jewish-American dictionary for reference, for the app to play the most obscure words, but then reject common English, simply does not feel kosher, despite a lifelong, undying love for the movie, "Fiddler On The Roof". So, over months, I slowly began to despise the app for this glitsh, a growing sense of feeling robbed of time built into hate, and now I cannot play the damn thing. The extra stress I need like a loch in kop. Unless other dictionaries can be added in, I feel that I have nothing to gain from the experience, which means now it's just another discard on the burgeoning pile of schlock. So, feh! ✓ Quite fun but also annoyingThis is Scrabble under another name. Simple to use & no annoying adverts. But Mr Word enters words that don't look like real words & he doesn't accept some of my words. So it can be a bit unfair at times. I haven't got the Oxford English Dictionary installed. Maybe if I did, that would level out the playing field..Version: 3.0

✓ Good but...It would be important to provide your source of information for the disctionary as some of the words used by Mr Word are not English words... Looks like on the same board there are French and English mixed up. For example, vie is a French one, not English. Same for roy that you define to be the king. As well, once a square with an option has already been used, I don't. Think you can reuse it for other words... If so, please provide your game rules as well. Last comment about the disctionnary: looking at the definition is good but unfortunately, when they refer to other words not used on the board...these definitions become useless. A very good for clearly indicated which dictionary you are using..Version: 2.0
✓ OopsHave to agree with some of the other reviews. I had the free version for a long time, got the pro version (to get rid of adverts interrupting) this version now crashes quite frequently. Also I would like to know exactly which dictionary is being used, as others have said, some words that are correct are not allowed. And in iOS 8.3 the "define" button does not work. Overall I do like the app, but to get five stars these annoying things need fixing..Version: 3.0

✓ Mr wordLove it. Great for the ageing brain. How better to exercise the little grey cells. I have to add that I find it annoying when words accepted at one level are not allowed at other levels. A word is either in or out, uses same dictionary, so why...? I will now add that words which are correct and in the dictionary are not accepted. So I am fast beginning to HATE it. Maybe Mr Word is the guy who invented Cheat at Scrabble. Well surprise surprise, now we no longer have dictionary access to even check his words. ✓ LexiconFun game, once you turn the stupid voice off, but major faults need fixing! Everyday dictionary-approved words are disallowed, the scoring is extremely dodgy especially in bottom left corner, my running score more often than not doesn't display, and the game regularly crashes. ✓ Words and playPersonally I don't like the obscure words in Scrabble especially the two-letter ones, and am happy with the Mr Word dictionary apart from some missing words such as ZEN. So it would be great if we could add such words to the running dictionary, and delete some of the proper names and acronyms that are incorrectly allowed. Also, the computer gets a bit stupid on the medium level, missing some obvious moves such as allowing me to make a word on the triple word score. I think the medium and easy levels should play as well as the hardest, but use a restricted word list, but that is just my opinion!.Version: 3.0

✓ Rubbish appThe new version of this 'Pro' app is UNBELIEVABLY bad. Standard words, that we're accepted by the (very playable) previous version no longer work. The internal dictionary now has a moron-level vocabulary. As soon as I've finished writing this review, it's going to be permanently deleted - and it's not just my opinion; my wife thinks it is now the worst app on her iPad. Wish I could return to its previous incarnation, but I stupidly had 'auto update' checked in my App Store settings. Avoid at all costs..Version: 3.0
